Prince Charles shows personal side as he and Duchess Camilla reflect on important month
Prince Charles’ personal side really came through in his recent heartfelt message to mark the start of Ramadan.
Prince Charles has shown his personal side as he and Duchess Camilla reflected on an important month with a hugely inspiring message.
- The Prince of Wales issued a new message in honor of the start of Ramadan as he and Duchess Camilla conveyed their “good wishes”.
- In it, Prince Charles referred to the Duchess of Cornwall in a deeply personal way and not for the first time this year.
- This royal news comes as it was revealed how Princess Charlotte takes after the Queen with this hobby.
The eldest of the Queen’s children, Prince Charles, has taken to his official Clarence House social media channels to mark the start of Ramadan on Friday April 1st. Posting a heartfelt picture of himself and Duchess Camilla at Al-Azhar Mosque in Egypt, the Prince of Wales shared a powerful new message that not only conveyed huge respect for this important month, but also a lovely insight into his marriage.
“Assalamu alaikum, As Muslims across the United Kingdom and the wider Commonwealth begin a period of fasting and prayer at the start of Ramadan, my wife joins me in taking this opportunity to convey our warmest good wishes to all those observing this month,” Prince Charles declared meaningfully.

“The generosity of spirit and kind-hearted hospitality of Muslims does not cease to astound me and I am sure that as we enter more uncertain times, with many now struggling to cope with increasing challenges, the Muslim community will again be a source of immense charitable giving this Ramadan,” he went on.
“There is much we can all learn from the spirit of Ramadan – not only the generosity, but also abstention, gratefulness and togetherness in prayer which will give great comfort to many across the world during this blessed month. I pray that all Muslims have a blessed Ramadan. Ramadan Mubarak. - HRH The Prince of Wales.”
Ramadan is the ninth month of the Islamic calendar and a time of community, fasting, prayer and reflection for Muslims across the world. Prince Charles’ personal message showcased his respect and understanding and has been met with praise by fans, who described his “warm greetings” as “wonderful”.
It also featured a deeply personal touch for Duchess Camilla, describing her as “my wife” rather than using her title, Duchess of Cornwall as he often has before. Though this isn’t the first time in recent weeks that Prince Charles has shown his personal side when it comes to the Duchess of Cornwall.

As the Queen marked the start of her Platinum Jubilee 2022 she revealed her “sincere wish” that Duchess Camilla becomes Queen Consort in future.
In the weeks that followed, Duchess Camilla addressed the Queen Consort news, describing it as a “great honor” and her delighted husband was quick to support his mother’s statement.
Prince Charles’ adorable tribute couldn’t have made his love for his future Queen clearer, as he led the tributes for the Platinum Jubilee. As well as celebrating the monarch’s milestone, he praised his “darling wife”.
"We are deeply conscious of the honor represented by my mother’s wish,” he declared. “As we have sought together to serve and support Her Majesty and the people of our communities, my darling wife has been my own steadfast support throughout.”
The continuation of this candid theme when it comes to statements and messages, referring to his “wife” so personally is a lovely insight into their relationship. It could also be seen as a sign Prince Charles is becoming ever more inclined to showcase his love for Duchess Camilla during official work duties.
