Kate Middleton looked ready for the change in season as she sported a rust-coloured polka dot dress for Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis' first day at Lambrook School.

Kate, 40, looked ready for fall in the sophisticated polka-dot dress as she walked hand in hand with her two sons.

The dress is from celeb favourite brand Rixo, but is unfortunately already out of stock in all sizes. However, the website insists there is more stock coming so keep your eyes peeled.

Alternatively, there are plenty of similar styles on the high street for a fraction of the price.

As Kate and William arrived at Lambrook with their three children, they were greeted by the school's headmaster, Jonathan Perry, who said to them, "Welcome to Lambrook. It’s lovely to have you with us. We’re very excited for the year ahead.”

He then shook them all by the hand and asked if they were excited, with the children replying in unison, "yes."

William added, "We’re looking forward to it," admitting that the children had "lots of questions."

Mr Perry's wife Jenny, who works in the pastoral team, was waiting in the doorway and greeted them with "Welcome back to Lambrook", with William quipping "With all the gang."

A royal source said that the Cambridge children were particularly excited to all be going to the same school for the first time. They said, "They're really excited about starting a new school together, and I think mum and dad are too."

Fans were quick to praise Kate's outfit choice for the children's first day. One commented, "Kate doesn't spend thousands of pounds on her outfits, but she always looks elegant, stylish and appropriate to the occasion."

Another added, "Always graceful and elegant," while a third commented, "The lady is elegant and glamorous even when dropping her kids off at school! A true Queen in Waiting."
