Kate Middleton and Prince William’s Christmas card photo for 2022 has finally been revealed and it may just be the best one yet!

Christmas just wouldn’t be Christmas without the annual Royal Family Christmas card photos to make the build-up to the big day extra special. These wonderful festive snaps give a unique insight into the Royal Family and King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla’s first Christmas card since taking on their new roles shows a special moment between the couple at a public event. In contrast, the Prince and Princess of Wales tend to take a more behind-the-scenes approach to their photo selection - and this year is no exception.

Released on December 13, Kate Middleton and Prince William’s Christmas card photo for 2022 showcases a special moment in Norfolk with their children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis. And it might just be the best one yet!

The couple shared the sweet family snap on social media just a few days after the King and Queen Consort’s landed. Theirs was taken in a private moment in the beautiful countryside and it’s clear that casual was the order of the day for Kate Middleton and Prince William’s Christmas card photo for 2022.

Taken by photographer Matt Porteous, who also captured their 2020 Christmas card photo, the new image shows all five royals walking together on a sunshine-filled day, each holding hands to form a line. It’s already known how much the Royal Family wear blue and each of the Wales family incorporated this tone into their outfits.

All matched in denim jeans or shorts with trainers for added off-duty comfort. And whilst the children all wore short-sleeved tops, Prince William and Kate Middleton complimented each other with long-sleeved shirts - his in blue and hers a stunning white one.

Their poses couldn’t have been more natural as they strolled through the woodland and Kate Middleton and Prince William’s Christmas card photo for 2022 is perhaps their most casual and personal in recent years. It seems they wanted to show an even more relaxed dynamic to their family than usual with the jeans, shorts and trainers instead of opting for slightly more formal wear.

And it seems this approach has gone down a storm with fans, who were quick to comment on how “beautiful” the family looked together.

“Beautiful , you make us so proud ❤️Merry Christmas 🎄 ❤️”, one person wrote delightedly.

Another person echoed this, remarking, “What a beautiful Family ❤️❤️❤️ Merry Christmas 🎅🏼🤍”.

Whilst a third person declared that they are, “A credit to the Royal Family and our Nation 👏👏👏”.

“Love to see them together”, said someone else, reflecting on how lovely it is to see the Prince and Princess of Wales looking so happy with their children.

According to the BBC, the photo was taken in Norfolk and so it could be close by to their Anmer Hall home where their 2020 photo was snapped. This is known to be a happy place for them all and Kate Middleton and Prince William’s Christmas card photo for 2022 definitely captured a sense of joy that’s perfect for the festive season.
