Camilla, Duchess of Cornwal (opens in new tab)l went about her royal duties yesterday when she visited a volunteering centre in Rickmansworth.
The Royal Voluntary Service, a charity that supports those in need from hospitals and local communities, saw Duchess Camilla make a visit to join the group in their lunch club.
‘Royal Voluntary Service President, HRH The Duchess of Cornwall joined us at one of our lunch clubs today and thanked volunteers for dedicating their time to help others 👏,’ wrote the charity on their Instagram page.
‘At the club HRH helped serve up lunch and met volunteers and diners, like Doris Winfield (aged 86), who The Duchess of Cornwall previously met via a ‘check in and chat’ call, while Doris was self-isolating in April.’
‘Thanking the volunteers, The Duchess said: “You do the most wonderful job. I’m very, very proud to be part of the RVS”,’ wrote the Clarence House Instagram page, alongside a series of photos and videos of the Duchess during her afternoon with the group.
‘The Duchess was invited to visit the lunch club by 86-year-old Doris Winfield (seen speaking to HRH in the first video) who HRH chatted to on the phone during lockdown,’ they added. ‘The pair have been exchanging letters ever since and today were able to meet for the first time in person! 👋’.
And like always, the Duchess looked fabulous as she carried out her royal engagements, sporting a stylish Burberry trench coat and an elegant blue shift dress.
And of course, she finished off her trendy outfit with an enviable handbag from one of her favourite London designers, Aspinal of London.
