The Duchess of Cornwall has celebrated a year of her reading room book club by posting a video on Instagram with a sweet message.

The Duchess of Cornwall’s Reading Room officially launched on January 15th last year, and it has since been praised by the likes of Judi Dench.

To mark a year of her online reading club she posted a video with some of her memories of the last year - including the books her and royal fans have read and authors she has spoken to.

Alongside the post, which has had had over 4,000 likes she said, "And just like that, The Reading Room is a year old! What a joy it’s been to talk to - and be inspired by - so many brilliant authors over the past twelve months; to learn more about their creations and share the joy of their books with you, our followers.

She went on to say, "Possibly the only greater thing than enjoying a great book, is sharing a love of that book with others…We can’t wait to embark on so many more literary adventures over the next year and we hope you continue to join us on the journey."

Royal fans left some lovely messages, with one writing, "Congratulations. Thank you for all the great books you have shown!"

Another one went on to say, "Love the reading room! And loved Scrooge over the 12 days of Christmas being read too!"

Along with some famous faces, Camilla and Prince Charles read extracts of Charles Dickens' classic A Christmas Carol, via the Duchesses reading room Instagram page over the 12 days of Christmas—with Prince Charles commencing the reading on Christmas day.

The couple announced the lovely surprise on Instagram, with a video explaining why they would be reading the classic tale and a note which said, "The Reading Room is delighted to announce that over the Twelve Days of Christmas, we will be reading, with the help of some very special friends, Charles Dickens’ wonderful story, ‘A Christmas Carol’."

They also had the help of actors, including Miriam Margolyes and Stephen Mangan.
