    The cameras were allowed exclusive access to the christening of Prince George in October 2013 and what a treat it was for us to catch the first close-up glimpses of the future monarch.

    The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge welcomed guests outside St James’s Palace in London – the most distinguished of which was the Queen herself, dressed in an eye-catching peacock blue jacket and skirt.

    Catherine chose an off-white McQueen outfit and pillar box hat for the occasion while Prince William appeared sharp in a smart suit.

    And it proved to be a true family affair when news broke that morning that Zara Phillips had been chosen as one of the godparents to Prince George.
