Strictly Come Dancing confirms fourth and fifth contestants for new series
Strictly Come Dancing has confirmed their fourth and fifth contestants for the upcoming series.
The BBC dancing show has signed YouTube star Saffron Barker for their new series that will be starting this autumn.
News of the social media star’s upcoming appearance was confirmed when she appeared on Heart Radio earlier today, confirming that she would appear on the show.
Speaking about her upcoming gig, the lifestyle blogger, who will be the second YouTube star to appear on the nationwide hit after Joe Sugg participated last year, said she’s hoping that fans of her channel will support her appearance on the show.
‘I think that’s what I’m most nervous for,’ the 19-year-old, who has 1.2million Instagram followers and 2.2million subscribers on YouTube, said to Heart.
‘I think that everyone who follows me will support me as much as possible.’
She added that she expects there to be some backlash from viewers who don’t think of her as a ‘celebrity’.
