Sharon Osbourne debuts new platinum white hair after 18 years of vibrant red

Former X Factor judge, Sharon Osbourne, has embraced her all white hair after 18 years of dying it weekly.

Sharon, 67, paid a visit to Jane Fonda's hair colourist, Jack Martin, and opted to ditch her trademark dark red locks for a platinum white shade.

The tranformation may have taken eight hours but Jack - the man behind the colour - said it was "another great day" of his career.

Sharing the transformation on Instagram, he wrote, "Another great day in my career welcoming the most beautiful and elegant talk show host and entertainer @sharonosbourne for a complete transformation. Sharon has 100% white hair and she was coloring her hair one a wee dark vibrant red for the past 18 years.

"She explained to me that she wanted to do this transformation a long time ago but every time she attempts it ends up with a disaster."

Given the upkeep of colouring hair weekly it's no surprise Sharon - who is married to Ozzy Osbourne - was "tired" of the process.

Jack continued, "Sharon was very tired of coloring her hair once a week and she was obligated to since she is on tv almost every day hosting her popular tv show @thetalkcbs. I didn't promise Sharon anything but I told her I will try my best."

The hair colourist to the stars added, "It took me a total of 8 hours from start to finish to get her to a platinum blonde so she doesn't have to be committed to coloring her hair once a week anymore. I had a great time spending my day off with this gorgeous, humble, and sweet soul."

And fans of the TV star were overwhelmed with Sharon's transformation, branding it "stunning" and "amazing".

One wrote, "Jane Fonda now Sharon Osbourne?!?!? Incredible!!"

Another said, "Her face looks so soft now... beautiful job for a beautiful lady."

Although Sharon has openly admitted to having several face lifts in a bid to retain her youthful complexion, the mum-of-three does believe ageing can be a beautiful process.

"It (ageing) is wisdom, strength. I think you get more beautiful on the inside and your aura is more beautiful, but definitely you get more wrinkles with that beauty. I mean, come on," she joked.
