Ruth Langsford shares adorable video of her mum showing off her dance skills
We’re so glad that Strictly Come Dancing is back on our screens, and it seems we’re not the only ones.
This Morning presenter Ruth Langsford shared a sweet video of her 87-year-old mum Joan dancing along to one of Anton du Beke’s songs.
In her caption, Ruth joked ‘What do you think @mrantondubeke ....your partner for @bbcstrictly next year? MUCH better than her daughter!! 💃❤️’
Back in 2017, Ruth joined Anton on the dance floor and was the seventh celebrity to be eliminated during its 15th series. But the presenter reckons her mum is a much better dancer!
Ruth’s followers absolutely loved Joan’s dance moves, with Great British Bake Off winner Rahul saying, ‘Your mum is a star!!!’
Britain’s Got Talent judge Amanda Holden wrote, ‘Stepping out!! In the kitchen ❤’
Even Strictly judge Shirley Ballas was impressed, writing, ‘Adorable ❤️’

A fan complimented Joan’s dancing, saying, ‘I love her... Ruth if I am as good as her at half age... I would have won!! ❤️❤️👏👏’
For this serious of Strictly, ballroom dancer Anton du Beke has been partnered with Emma Barton, but perhaps there’ll be room for Joan next year? She’s definitely got the moves!
It seems that Joan is a big fan of dancing, as Ruth also shared a video at a wedding anniversary party.
Her caption read, ‘Go Mum! Family 60th Wedding Anniversary Party last night....couldn’t get her off the dance floor! 87yrs old and still has the moves! 💃 ❤️’
Fans loved that video too, with one writing,'Wow mum's brilliant beautiful just like you, go girl 😍❤️❤️❤️'
It seems Ruth and Joan have been sharing lots of happy moments together, as last month the presenter shared a sweet video of them enjoying her favourite meal together.
Ruth Langsford grew up travelling around the world with her mum and big sister Julia, whilst their dad Dennis was working in the military, so the two have a very close bond.
Sadly Julia passed away in June this year, after a ‘very long illness’. Ruth took some time to grieve with her family, and has since returned to our screens and to social media. It’s lovely seeing Ruth and her mum sharing such a close bond.
