Piers Morgan reveals how he ‘couldn’t breathe’ after being bedbound with health condition

Piers Morgan has revealed how he ‘couldn’t breathe’ after he was bedbound with a health condition.
The Good Morning Britain presenter opened up on this morning’s episode of the news show, revealing that he suffered from heat exhaustion towards the end of last week after spending time out in the sun playing golf.
“I had heat exhaustion,” Piers told co-host Susanna Reid. “I spent two days in bed, he continued, revealing that during that time he “couldn’t walk, couldn’t talk, couldn’t breathe.
“It was like a utopia for all my critics,” he added.
Speaking about his symptoms with ITV medical expert Dr Hilary Jones, he said, "Doc, it was hot last week, heat exhaustion is actually quite unpleasant, I've discovered."
“It’s very unpleasant,” agreed Dr Hilary, adding that symptoms of the condition include, “Headaches, dehydration, not being able to sweat.”
"Very tired...I just slept it off, and a lot of fluids,” added Piers, revealing, “I am taking dioralyte."

“Was that the right thing to do?” he asked the medical expert, who responded, “Yes. Plenty of fluids.”
Piers, who recently gave a 'gut-wrenchingly sad' update on Kate Garraway's husband, didn’t let his bout of illness get in the way of celebrating his 10th anniversary with wife Celia Walden.
The couple celebrated their wedding anniversary last Wednesday, with the TV star uploading a sweet snap of the pair’s wedding day to his Instagram page, writing, '10yrs ago today... I made an honest woman of Celia. And her lawyers hoped it would never last! Happy Anniversary to my considerably better half.'
Fans and friends were thrilled for the star, with many leaving streams of love heart Emoji symbols.
Fellow ITV presenter Eamonn Holmes, who also recently celebrated his wedding anniversary with co-host wife Ruth Langsford, added, ‘And to think we were doing exactly the same thing in the same week 10 years ago.’
Let’s hope the couple managed to have a lovely day despite Piers’ illness!
