Nadia Sawalha reveals how she was left ‘heartbroken’ by her sister
Rivalry, favouritism, jealousy – we all know the challenges that come with sibling relationships and Loose Women presenter, Nadia Sawalha, 53, has revealed that she's no different.
The TV star has both a younger sister,Absolutely Fabulousstar Julia, 49, and an older sister Dina, 55, who's an art teacher – and the one thing they argue about the most? Men.
Speaking towoman&homeexclusively for our April issue, she shared some of the challenges she's been through with her sister, Dina.
“We've had some rocky times in our relationship, but the culprit has always been men”, she said. “Dina is very good at biting her tongue whereas I'm the total opposite.”
And it all came to a head the day before Dina's wedding. “I was begging her not to marry her partner (they're now separated) and we didn't speak for a long while after that”, she added. “I remember sending her a text saying, 'I'm completely heartbroken' - I was.”

“I was begging her not to marry her partner (they're now separated) and we didn't speak for a long while after that”, Nadia told us. “I remember sending her a text saying, 'I'm completely heartbroken' - I was.”
Fortunately, the pair managed to patch things up with Nadia offering Dina support following her split. Dina told us, “When I split from my partner, I shied away from friends, but Nadia was the person I knew I could lean on. She's been there in all my times of need.”
Their bond is now stronger than ever and they've even become neighbours.
Nadia said, “Dina recently moved next door to me and that's been lovely. One of our favourite things to do together is to spend an afternoon cooking – she's incredible in the kitchen.”
Dina also shared a bit of insight into what Nadia is really like off camera.
“As her sister, I see a very different side of her; she's always so loud and in your face onLoose Women –sometimes I think, “Oh, please don't say that!” - but I get to spend time with the real Nadia who's happy to slob on the sofa scoffing chocolates or just sit and watch videos of the kids when they were younger. That's the Nadia I love.”
We like the sound of her too!
