Louise Redknapp admits she's 'lonely' in lockdown after Jamie Redknapp divorce

Strictly star Louise Redknapp has confessed she's struggling with lockdown life as the country continues to battle coronavirus.

The 45-year-old made the admission during an Instagram live chat in which she spoke about how she was dealing with being single in lockdown.

In answer to a question about her love life Louise said, "No I’m not dating. No one seems to want me. I’m happy." Before joking that the dog is her "new boyfriend".

Minutes later Louise's ex-husband, Jamie, knocked on the door to drop something off for the kids and she confessed she was "lonely" after seven weeks of lockdown.

The former Strictly star revealed, "I think it feels like it’s being going on for a long time now and I think the longer it goes on the more we panic about jobs and for me it can be quite lonely."

While Louise is enjoying having quality time with her boys, the Eternal star misses her day job.

"I’m here and it’s great with the kids but I’m used to going out working and being creative, so it’s tough," she confessed.

Louise and Jamie have two children together - Beau, 11 and Charley, 15 - and recently revealed they'd made the difficult decision to split their sons between them during the coronavirus lockdown.

They called time on their relationship in 2019 after 19 years together following Louise's stint on Strictly Come Dancing.

Detailing the reasons behind their divorce, Louise told Fabulous Magazine, "I adore him and always will. Jamie was the absolute love of my life.

“I guess I was happy to be invisible for a little while, but at the same time I felt I was becoming less and less of a person. And being less and less visible was kind of hard to take when I used to be a pop star.”

While she's missing her day job in lockdown Louise has been focussing on her training and overall health.

On Wednesday Louise channelled "sports luxe vibes" and posed in a sports bra and shorts for her 698K Instagram followers.

And fans were keen to praise the mum-of-two's workout regime and find out how they can replicate her jaw-dropping figure.

"That's some stomach there girl," wrote one fan. While another said, "If I looked that good in sports gear I might take up sports."

Six weeks ago Louise confessed she was going to utilise lockdown due to coronavirus to maintain her shape. She wrote, "So I'm going to try and train as much as I can during this time."
