Swap the screams for screams of laughter with Last One Laughing’s Halloween special
Some people just aren’t cut out for spooky season, so if you’re doing your best to avoid horror films this month, we know just the antidote: Last One Laughing.
Last One Laughing UK has become a massive hit, with the first series winning best entertainment programme at the 2026 BAFTA TV Awards, and comedian Bob Mortimer picking up the best entertainment performance for his stint on the show.
The premise is simple. A stacked cast of the biggest names in comedy compete by following just one rule - do not laugh. If the contestants can make their rivals laugh, they’re out. The winner gets a trophy and a cash prize for a charity of their choice. Having aired two seasons so far, the show is returning for a special four-part Halloween edition - and this time, there's no laughing and no screaming...
With a line-up that includes Jack Dee and Daisy May Cooper, the Halloween special will follow the same premise, with the added twist that the contestants will also get penalised if they’re caught screaming or shrieking by surprise scares and props.
Sound like your kind of treat this Halloween? We’ll tell you how to watch all episodes as they air, and how to catch up on the previous seasons.
