Charmed's Alyssa Milano in car accident after uncle suffers 'possible heart attack' at the wheel

Alyssa Milano was involved in a car accident on Tuesday after the driver became unconscious at the wheel, according to a police press release. 

Michael J. Carp, the 63-year-old uncle of the Charmed star, suffered a "possible heart attack" whilst driving on the busy I-405 freeway shortly before 10 am yesterday morning. He and his niece were traveling on the Los Angeles highway when the road collision occurred, causing the Ford vehicle to drift into the wrong lane and hit another car. 

Michael received CPR from Alyssa, who was fortunately described as "uninjured" in the LAPD report. She was also able to bring the car to a halt "with the assistant of a good Samaritan" before it caused any more obstruction. 

Alyssa was collected by her husband, David Bugliari, and is likely to be recovering from the shock at home in her gated residence 20 minutes north of Los Angeles. The condition of her uncle, who goes by Mitch, is unknown. 

Alyssa has not commented on the crash on her social media just yet, but if her recent posts are anything to go by, she's very concerned about family members' wellbeing. She even hinted at the importance of basic First Aid in her latest tweet on COVID-19 precautions, writing," We should all take every opportunity we have to protect the people we love. Get vaccinated. Wear masks. Lock up your guns. Learn CPR. Small, common-sense actions. It’s not hard to take care of each other, but it is important." 

Prior to this message, Alyssa had been frequently posting about the crisis in Afghanistan. She has retweeted multiple statements from Afghans trapped in Kabul as the Taliban continues its takeover, as well as her own personal sentiments on the devastating situation. 

"I’m so sad and I’m so angry for the people of Afghanistan," she wrote. "I’m angry for the women and girls in that country, and the suffering they will endure at the hands of the Taliban, who are the embodiment of evil. I’m angry that we have not yet evacuated everyone who helped us." 

The Insatiable actor has also shared numerous updates on the catastrophic Haitian earthquake, along with information on COVID-19 vaccines and the MeToo movement.
