It would seem that Carol Vorderman has taken up a rather bizarre health hack, her latest Instagram post reveals.

The TV star shared a picture of an ice-bath alongside the caption, "BABY IT'S COLD OUTSIDE....

"So how long did I last in our 4 degrees ice bath this morning.

"I did SEVEN MINUTES and it was blooming freeeeeezing."

Four degrees doesn't sound too comfortable to us, but each to your own, Carol!

Known as the Wim Hof Method, submerging yourself in cold water can do wonders for your body and mind, just like the benefits of cold-water swimming.

But fans aren't so convinced by her latest health kick, taking to Instagram to express their disbelief.

"Ice bath by choice or have you had your new gas tariff?" wrote one, while another said, "I’d like one ! I’m not into hot tubs but I see the point of the cold one but I probably would only get half in."

While another simply said, "WHATTTTT??????" And a fourth wrote, "NO NO NO… just NO."

Another fan said, "Been doing cold showers for while now in the morning but this is next level. 4 minutes!"

The TV star has been on a health kick recently, after going on juicing retreat with health expert Jason Vale.

She revealed her trimmer look online, telling her fans that she's managed to drop a dress size during the retreat.

The caption said, " We're coming home soon... still another day to go.

"18 days -3 days (going to restaurants) = 15 days on juice here at @juicemasterretreats @jasonvale. I've dropped over a dress size and bursting with energy. Haven't been into these shorts for a few years and now they're loose. Boommmm.

"My other half here @jules__sampson has dropped TWO dress sizes and looks incredible and feels so strong. It's a special place here. So chilled out and happy. Jason has created the magic alright."
