The genius Joseph Joseph spice rack every small kitchen needs – it's doubled my cupboard space
One minute it's hidden away under the shelf, the next it drops down to allow easy access to all my essential spices
When your kitchen starts to feel chaotic, the little things can make a huge difference, which is great news for anyone on a budget.
After seeing how small kitchen storage essentials transformed our writer Katie's space, I wanted a simple solution to maximise my limited storage space; that's when I discovered the new Joseph Joseph Under-Shelf Spice Rack.
It's no exaggeration to say this genius rack is game-changing, it has completely changed how I use my cupboard space. In an instant, it has restored a sense of order.
This savvy rack can hold up to 14 spice jars, elevating them up and hiding them away beneath the shelf above. Thanks to an innovative pull-out design the compartment simply drops down when you need access to the jars. H26.2 x W32 x D10cm, maximum weight is 2kg.
Spice jars are a must in any kitchen cupboard, but they can be tricky to store efficiently because, despite being small, they take up a lot of room – leaving lots of wasted space above them.
When stored alongside other items, they become overshadowed by the larger tins, jars and bottles. Previously, I used the 3-tier spice rack (by Amazon) to elevate the jars so you see them more clearly, but this takes up a lot of space.
This also means you often have to keep them at the front of the cupboard, then take them out whenever you need to reach the taller items at the back. Well, not anymore. This new innovative rack ensures your spices are always front and centre but never in the way.
Editor's recommendation: Under-shelf Spice Rack

This savvy rack can hold up to 14 spice jars. Not only does that free up a lot of surface space below, but it also provides the perfect place to keep your frequently used spices neatly stored and on hand when needed.

Because of the movement, this under-shelf storage solution requires a small element of DIY to secure it in place. However, the effort is minimal because the screws are included and the pre-made holes make it a breeze to secure to the shelf.
From chaos to organised calm, it was out with the storage tub and in with the new under-shelf spice rack
As pioneers in smart kitchen design Joseph Joseph already have many different under-shelf storage solutions that I can also highly recommend...
Another new storage product is this pullout drawer specifically designed to store refillable bottles, of which I have many. Having them in one easy-to-reach place, elevated above everything else in the cupboard, has been super helpful.
Elevated but open this under-cabinet storage have been ideal for keeping my tin foil, clingfilm and baking paper in one handy spot. It's easy to reach, and also easy for me to see at a glance so I don't miss when my stock is running low – which would often happen when it was lost at the back of the cupboard.
Perfect for smaller items this simple draw keeps everything safely enclosed in one place, to save them floating around lost in a large cupboard space.
When space is a premium, organising kitchen cabinets with maximum efficiency is essential. I now have an under-shelf storage solution in every single cupboard to make the space work harder and make my kitchen feel easier to navigate while I cook. Everything is organised, visible and easy to reach.
