Marks & Spencer launch figure-flattering gym leggings for just £28

Marks & Spencer leggings

Now that we're firmly in to 2019, many of us will be making a sheepish return to the gym or our regular exercise class after weeks of Christmas indulgence.

And lets face it, it's hard enough to drag ourselves out of bed for a workout in the first place - let alone doing so with some less than flattering activewear waiting for us.

You know the type - the baggy leggings that still don't fit quite right, the too-tight sports bra, or the uninspiring workout top that definitely doesn't make you want to hit the treadmill.

But fear no more, because high-street favourite Marks & Spencer are here to save you from lacklustre exercise gear, with their brand new range of activewear.

And it seems that one of their new products in particular is already catching customers eyes, given the flattering fit it promises. Their brand new 'Contour Fit' leggings, which come with a matching top, promise to support your figure in all the right places, "for a smoother silhouette" in the gym.

So if you find yourself spending much of your workout time feeling self-conscious, instead of empowered, these could well be the leggings for you.

M&S claim that the lycra technology will skim and slim all the areas you might be concerned about exposing, such as your tummy or thighs, and even promise to give your bum a bit of a lift (before the effects of your exercise kick in, of course)! Because we can all do with a little shaping help from our clothes from time to time...

The breathable fabric will also ensure you're not left feeling too sticky and sweaty after your daily jog or yoga class, as it contains a 'Moisture Wicking' finish to 'lift away dampness'.

And if that wasn't enough, they're also perfect for those unavoidable evening work-outs too. With a light-reflecting logo, they'll also ensure you can be seen in the dark, if you're heading out for a night-time run or cycle.

The leggings are on sale for just £28 too, which we reckon is great value for an item that should last you many a workout to come. At the moment, they're still on sale in all sizes, and only come in a black. You can buy them here.

The rest of Marks & Spencer's activewear collection includes some handy padded and non-padded sports bras, quick dry jackets and sweatshirts and some chic, short-sleeve tops.
