Jerry Hall has been faithful to this timeless nail colour for decades - and it's so flattering, we can see why
The supermodel's signature beauty look is bringing new levels of glamour to the Traitors' castle
Trends may come and go, but Jerry Hall has long understood the appeal of a signature beauty look. Her cascading blonde waves and red lipstick have been constants throughout her decades in the spotlight, often accompanied by an equally classic red manicure.
Now, at 70, the original supermodel shows no signs of slowing down. Fresh from fronting Charlotte Tilbury’s latest Airbrush campaign, Hall is back on our screens in The Celebrity Traitors – an experience she recently told Grazia she said yes to because she “says yes to everything”, crediting that attitude with bringing so much excitement into her life. She also revealed she “hasn’t laughed so much” as she did while filming the show.
And while Hall continues to embrace the new, her signature beauty look remains consistent. Most recently, she attended the Saint Laurent Spring/Summer 2027 show at Paris Fashion Week alongside her daughter, model Georgia May Jagger. Dressed in black, Hall punctuated her look with those familiar flashes of scarlet: a bold red lip and immaculate, high-shine nails.
There’s a reason Hall has remained loyal to red. Both classic and commanding, a scarlet manicure has an enduring quality that transcends seasonal nail trends. This shade is also universally flattering, suiting not only every skin tone but also every nail shape, including Hall's medium-length nails with rounded tips.
Worn alongside her signature red lip and typically pared-back wardrobe, it has become an integral part of her beauty uniform. A glance back through the archives proves this isn't a recent fixation. Hall has repeatedly returned to variations of the shade over the years, wearing everything from bright tomato red nails to deeper red nail designs.
Hall's larger-than-life, beachy blonde waves have also been part of her image since her modelling career took off in the 1970s, with red lipstick as the finishing touch. Rather than reinventing herself with every new trend, she appears to have found what works for her and stuck with it.
Now, with a new generation set to discover Hall on Celebrity Traitors – and a recent Charlotte Tilbury campaign putting her signature glamour firmly back in the beauty spotlight – we're taking her red manicure as a timely reminder that sometimes the best nail colour is simply the one you know you love.
