Helen Mirren looked fantastic at the 2021 SAG Awards over the weekend, and now her make-up artist has revealed the very affordable foundation she used on the star.

The best foundation is a beauty routine staple, so we're always curious to learn which buys the A-list wear – especially when the foundation in question can be snapped up for way below the $20 mark.

To present the award Mirren wore a beautiful red sequinned gown by Micheal Kors, later changing into a puff-sleeved gown by Badgley Mischka, offset with jewels by David Webb.

As for beauty, Richard Collins styled Mirren's hair into an elegant updo for the occasion. Meanwhile her make-up artist, Jo Strettell, shared a break down of the L'Oréal products she used to get the star virtual red carpet ready.

Available in 30 different shades, this foundation promises lightweight, hydrating and radiant coverage with the added bonus of SPF 50.

The foundation in question is none other than the L'Oréal Paris Age Perfect Serum Foundation, which you can snap up for just $10.99. As Mirren is an ambassador for the affordable beauty brand, it makes total sense for her to use the products for the red carpet.

This particular formula is designed as one of the best foundations for mature skin, promising to hydrate skin, even out your complexion and never settle into wrinkles or fine lines.

"I placed [it] all over face, neck and ears and buffed into skin using a buffing foundation brush to get a flawless, light and natural looking skin," Strettell wrote on Instagram.

During her appearance the actor also shared some hilarious anecdotes – including that during quarantine, she and her husband ran into a bear while out walking.

“I did have a bit of a meeting with a bear,” she explained. “I was so excited to see a bear, but then, of course, you can’t allow bears to get too familiar with human beings because they are wild animals. So, I chased him away.”

Mirren isn't the only famous face to favor an affordable foundation for the red carpet – The Crown's Olivia Colman reportedly loves this drugstore foundation.

At less than 11 dollars, you really can't go wrong with this beauty buy. And if it's good enough for Helen Mirren, you can count this as one of the best drugstore foundations for us, too.
