Wishing you could hear new music from the late prince of pop? Well, your prayers have been answered because Prince is blessing us with new music this summer.

The Prince Estate and Legacy Recordings announced that the previously shelved album Welcome 2 America will be released on July 30th. The album will feature 12 never-before-heard tracks recorded in 2010 at Prince’s Paisley Park Studios.

In a press release statement, it described the album as "a powerful creative statement that documents Prince's concerns, hopes, and visions for a shifting society, presciently foreshadowing an era of political division, misinformation, and a renewed fight for racial justice." You can also expect the title track to deliver "a searing, spoken-word soliloquy set to music about golden parachutes, the superficial nature of social media, reality TV-fueled celebrity culture, and corporate monopolies in the music industry, ultimately concluding that America is the 'Land of the free / home of the slave.'"

Included was also a quote from Prince, who described the album in the most Prince way.

"The world is fraught with misin4mation. George Orwell’s vision of the future is here. We need 2 remain steadfast in faith in the trying times ahead.”

The Purple Rain singer had performed in several U.S. cities for a tour of the same name but never actually released the album (until now). The new album's deluxe edition will also feature an unreleased Prince concert from the singer's April 28, 2011 show at The Forum in California.

The album is currently available for preorder, but if you can't wait for the release, you can get a head start and listen to the title track (on loop) on streaming platforms.
