Sophie, Countess of Wessex made an appearance at the Camberley Resource Centre this week.

This wonderful visit comes just weeks after Sophie first showcased her baking skills on social media. In a video that was since posted on Instagram and Twitter, Sophie was seen in the comfort of her own home at Bagshot Park in Surrey.

In the heart-warming video, the Countess baked 55 cheese and bacon scones. This was part of the Children in Need ‘Act Your Age’ challenge. As president of the Girl Guides, Sophie was keen to get involved and take part, producing some delicious-looking scones.

Royal fans were intrigued, not only by the rare glimpse they were afforded of Sophie’s home, but also by her baking skills.

Now the Countess of Wessex has shown her skills once again this week on her latest royal visit.

Where did Sophie Wessex make an appearance this week?

The Queen’s daughter-in-law has well and truly got into the festive spirit this week, as she visited the Camberley Resource Centre. The visit was to support her patronage, Disability Initiative. This vital charity specialises in providing care and rehabilitation to help adults with disabilities remain as independent as possible and achieve their goals, no matter how large or small.

The Countess first became patron of Disability Initiative in 2003 and has carried out several engagements with them over the years.

Thursday’s visit coincided with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities. This promotes the rights and wellbeing of people with disabilities across society.

What did she bake during her visit?

We might have all seen Sophie showcase her savoury baking, but this time things were a little sweeter.

The Countess helped to bake flapjacks and can be seen on a heartwarming post on the Royal Family’s official Instagram account tipping out the mixture, looked to be studded with delicious raisins, into a pre-lined baking tray.

We can only imagine how delicious they tasted, but if the appearance of Sophie’s cheese and bacon scones is anything to go by, they will have been delicious.

And the Countess’ talents didn’t stop there, as she also helped to decorate Christmas baubles by hand, ready for the festive season.

With so many people having praised Sophie’s eye for design when it came to her sage-green kitchen, it’s perhaps no surprise that the holly design on her bauble looked stunning.

How have fans reacted to Sophie Wessex’s latest visit?

Royal fans were quick to express their admiration for the Countess after the picture of her visit was posted on social media.

One user wrote: ‘Glad that we're seeing more of the Countess, shes under appreciated’ whilst another agreed, stating simply: ‘She is the best’.

Another commented: ‘Sophie is fast becoming one of my favourite royals, elegant, hard working and a caring lady’.

The Countess is thought to be just as popular with her mother-in-law the Queen.

Many reports suggested that if the Queen were to have anyone in her festive bubble, it would be Sophie, her husband Prince Edward and their children Lady Louise Windsor and James, Viscount Severn.

Now it’s been revealed that the Queen will be celebrating Christmas “quietly” at Windsor Castle.

However, there are still suggestions that some of her relatives might put in an appearance at some point over the festive season and it seems likely that Sophie will be one of those lucky few if this does come to pass.
