Princess Beatrice has spoken about her secret wedding ceremony which took place in July.

What did Princess Beatrice say about her wedding?

Princess Beatrice and her husband Edoardo have sent out handwritten thank you cards to well-wishers.

In a post shared on royal fan Instagram account, the Duchess of Wonderland, the hand-written notes can be seen.

The message read: "Thank you so much for the wonderful note you so kindly sent to us on the occasion of our wedding this summer at Royal Lodge.

"Edo and I had a magical day filled with special moments with our families.

"We are so grateful to all those who have worked hard to protect our communities over the last few months, we owe them so much.

"Thank you for thinking of us as we begin our married life. Beatrice and Edo x."

The couple shocked the nation when they revealed they had wed in secret back in July after their May nuptials were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their ceremony was attended only by the couple's parents, siblings, Edoardo's son Wolfie, and the Queen and Duke of Edinburgh.

Edo recently gave an insight into married life with Princess Beatrice.

He said in a recent interview with the Financial Times: "My favourite room in my house is the kitchen.

"I've fallen in love with cooking again.

"It's been the epicentre of our family life and we come together for every meal.

We are lucky enough to have a small vegetable garden and we cook seasonally. Even my son has got involved."

He also sweetly admitted that the only "object I would never part with is my wedding ring".
