A newly released book claims that Prince William 'was not sympathetic' when Prince Harry suggested to the Royal Family that they should be more welcoming to his wife.
- Prince William and Prince Harry have reportedly had disagreements on behalf of their wives.
- This has been revealed in a newly released book about the royals by royal autobiographer, Tom Bower.
- In other royal news, the secret trick Kate Middleton uses to always look flawless in paparazzi photos has been revealed.
In the book, Tom says that this took place while Harry and Meghan were preparing for their official visit to Australia and New Zealand.
"Members of their family, said Harry, were not showing her sufficient support, respect and friendship. Meghan, Harry believed, should be just as appreciated as their mother," said Tom.
Suggesting that members of the family should treat Meghan like the late Princess Diana did not go down well and Tom reports that the Duke of Cambridge was not impressed. "William’s reply was not sympathetic," said Tom in the book. The author added however that this disagreement was kept under wraps. "Beyond the palaces, few were aware of the split between the brothers," said the author.
The rumors about Kate and Meghan's frosty relationship have been swirling for years, practically since the pair met. Following Prince Harry and Meghan's wedding day, these rumors worsened as it was alleged that Meghan made Kate cry about a falling out over flower girl dresses.
It was hoped that Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton could move on from the crying accusations, but the Duchess of Sussex was then questioned about this disagreement during her Oprah interview. Meghan revealed it was actually Kate who made her cry, but they quickly moved on from this incident and apologized to each other with Kate reportedly sending her sister-in-law flowers.
Other reports have suggested that Meghan had hoped they would have a closer bond and although she was disappointed they weren't closer, she was happy with their relationship.
"Meghan was disappointed that she and Kate hadn’t bonded over the position they shared, but she wasn’t losing sleep over it," said royal reporters Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand in their book Finding Freedom. They added that Meghan received flowers from Kate on her birthday, but, "Meghan would far rather have had Kate check in on her during the most difficult times with the press."
Tom Bower's book, Revenge: Meghan, Harry and the war between the Windsors, has also made many other accusations. For example, the claim that Prince Charles was ‘irritated’ by Meghan Markle’s refusal to reconcile with her father. Tom has also suggested in his book that Princess Diana's brother gave a warning to Prince Harry before he married Meghan Markle.
