The Duchess of Cambridge honored frontline workers on Burns Night wearing a stunning tartan-printed outfit that many royal fans will have spotted before.

The Duchess of Cambridge has long been admired by royal fans, not just for her style, but for her passion for re-wearing much-loved outfits. Whilst the ongoing effects of the pandemic have meant more royal engagements have been undertaken via video call in recent months, it seems Duchess Catherine is not letting that stop her. In a heartfelt video message posted in honor of Burns Night on January 25, she can be seen re-wearing one of our favorite bold outfits.

Taking to their official Kensington Royal Instagram, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge appeared in a video message. In it, they spoke of how Burns Night - a traditional Scottish holiday - is understandably different this year.

The royal couple paid tribute to the dedication of those working on the frontline on this Scottish holiday.

“We know Burns Night is a special evening for Scots around the world—a time to come together to eat, drink and to celebrate the life and work of Robert Burns,' Prince William began.

Duchess Catherine then continued: “Sadly this year is a little different. And for many of you working on the frontline, tonight will be a very different occasion, as you work tirelessly through this pandemic to protect the most vulnerable in our society.”

As revealed in the royal couple’s Instagram caption, they teamed up with NHS Charities Together to provide staff at NHS Tayside with a traditional Burns celebration lunch of haggis, neeps and tatties.

What was the Duchess of Cambridge’s Burns Night outfit?

In this heartfelt post, the Duchess of Cambridge could be seen wearing a wonderfully vibrant tartan-style outfit. The Emilia Wickstead red printed blouse and skirt combination is a winning winter look.

Paired with sleek hair, a Peter Pan-style collar and pearl earrings on this occasion, the Duchess had an air of timeless elegance about her in this poignant Burns Night tribute.

However, the Duchess has worn this very differently in recent years. Duchess Catherine has previously worn the patterned skirt with a black cardigan when she hosted a Christmas party for military families in 2018, alongside Prince William. She is also understood to have worn this stylish look to a Christmas celebration at Buckingham Palace a year later.

This is the second video appearance the Duchess of Cambridge has made in recent days. On Friday, the Kensington Royal Instagram account posted a clip of the Duchess’ call to NHS nurses whose dedication and hard work has kept the country going through these difficult times.
