Due to the current lockdown situation, people are finding more ways to get creative when it comes to socialising.

The nation may be on lockdown, but that doesn’t mean there’s still plenty of fun ways to celebrate together - as Amanda Holden is doing.

The TV presenter and radio host made sure she still threw a brilliant - and disco themed - party for her daughter Hollie, who’s just turned eight.

Her little one can be seen dancing away to Taylor Swift’s Shake It Off, colourful disco lights illuminating the family’s spacious living room.

Amanda made sure Hollie’s friends were invited to the party, but to ensure that she and her family complied with social distancing rules, Amanda used conferencing app Zoom to dial in a huge 31 of Hollie’s friends to celebrate with her.

‘So we had a #zoom disco for HRH and 31 of her little friends. #wecandothis last one dancing Taylor Swift,’ Amanda captioned the cute clip of her daughter.

Zoom, if you’re unfamiliar with the conference service, allows you to chat to your friends on multiple screens. It’s how many are now conversing virtually while the country is collectively practicing social distancing measures, along with other social apps like Houseparty - which is rumoured to be the Royal Family’s app of choice!

TheDaily Mail reportedthat the Duchess of Cornwall has been using Houseparty to keep in touch with her grandchildren, as she and Charles have been in self-isolation at Balmoral. The newspaper quoted a royal source saying the app was a “brilliant way of staying in touch with her own family whom she is missing terribly”.

This isn’t the first time Amanda has enjoyed a virtual party. Last Friday, she and seven friendsincluding Lisa Faulkner and Angela Griffin enjoyed a virtual night out on Zoom with a few glasses of wine.
