Holly Willoughby debuted a bold dress for the first episode of Dancing on Ice, but some fans were left unimpressed.

After fears, the new series of Dancing on Ice would not go ahead due to the pandemic and five crew members testing positive for Covid-19. Fans were delighted to see Philip and Holly and a new set of celebrities taking on the competition.

The presenter wore a long plunging, nude gown, designed by french- Lebanese designer Dany Atrache. The feathered, sparkly dress made Willoughby look red carpet ready as she matched the dress with René Caovilla heels and what looks like a new haircut.

However, some fans were left shocked and took to Twitter to complain about the plunging dress, calling it ‘inappropriate.’

One Twitter user wrote, “Totally inappropriate that dress you wore on a family show, the viewers should be talking about the show and not you.” Many viewers thought the dress was over the top for Dancing on Ice and too low cut for a ‘family show.’

Following the criticism, fans were left divided, some agreed that the dress was nice, but too revealing while others flooded Twitter to defend her dress and praise how beautiful she looked. With one Twitter user saying “It’s worth watching #DancingOnIce just for @hollywills dress. Pink, tulle, sparkles, and feathers? What’s not to love.”

Willoughby also posted a picture of her dress on Instagram, and captioned it with “Gosh it feels good to put a sequin on.” Delighted fans commented sharing their love for Holly and her designer gown.

One user said “how beautiful is this dress? I need it” while another commented “Absolutely stunning.”

Holly Willoughby is known for her stunning fashion sense and killer gowns, and will no doubt keep dazzling us throughout the series.
