The royals always look so elegant and put-together that it’s hard for me to narrow down favourite outfits, but in the case of Duchess Sophie there’s one that will always stand out. She’s worn her Loewe leather midi dress several times and in 2024 she paired it with a brown floral blouse and her best knee high boots.

It was a stunning autumnal combination and now Queen Maxima of the Netherlands has put her own spin on this. A leather dress is more of an out-there piece for a senior royal and yet both women have proved that they’re not as tricky to wear as you might imagine.

Taking a leaf out of Sophie’s book, Queen Maxima wore hers with a shirt underneath when she visited The Offline Club. Worn without, a leather or faux leather frock would be a gorgeous and sultry date night outfit, though the addition of a top makes them more daytime appropriate.

Her Majesty’s dress was by Massimo Dutti and was actually a very deep khaki green. It came with a matching belt to cinch in the dress at the waist and was high-necked and sleeveless like the Duchess of Edinburgh’s too.

If you’re a bit hesitant about styling leather dresses, skirts or trousers, choosing a slightly lighter colour than black softens things and makes them less edgy. Burgundy and chocolate brown tones are big autumn/winter fashion colour trends this year and are great alternatives to black.

Maxima’s dark green dress was also beautifully seasonal and she layered it over a crisp white shirt. The senior royal had the collar poking out over the top of her dress’ neckline.

Whilst Duchess Sophie went for a contrast of a floral, feminine blouse against the smooth leather of her dress in 2024, Maxima’s approach was to lean into the power-dressing feel.

Her plain white shirt felt very business chic and her olive-green suede court shoes accentuated this. To make a leather or faux leather dress slightly more casual - and warm - I’d advise swapping heels for flat knee highs or ankle boots and tights.

As well as layering underneath a dress like Maxima’s and Sophie’s, you can also layer a chunky jumper over the top on a freezing day. Many leather frocks are long-sleeved which makes this a far easier option anyway and you can experiment with your favourite coat trends to make things even cosier.

Queen Maxima was largely inside during her trip to The Offline Cub, which is a social enterprise that focuses on forging real connections and being conscious of how much they’re using digital technology. People can come together without their phones and enjoy drinks and games.

The Queen dressed up for the engagement and this was the first time she’s been pictured wearing this Massimo Dutti design, suggesting it’s a new addition to her wardrobe. Like Duchess Sophie with her Loewe dress, she could go on to style it in several different ways throughout the colder months and I’ll be eager to see when it next makes an appearance.

As much as we love flowing midi dresses for special occasions, flattering jumpsuits are equally elegant and a bit more fashion-forward. We’re always on the look out for more jumpsuit styling inspiration, so imagine our surprise and delight when we saw Queen Maxima's latest look for the INSEAD Alumni Forum in Amsterdam.

Her outfit wasn’t an actual jumpsuit, but her Natan co-ord was so impeccably designed that you’d be forgiven for thinking it was. The Queen loves wearing bright colours and wasn’t afraid to go all-out with her head-to-toe olive green look.

The top had delicate pleats running up the front to the round neckline. This is not something we often see with tops but it worked so well here to bring a feminine feel to the structured outfit.

Queen Maxima balanced out the volume by securely tying the matching waist belt into a bow at the front. Belts are underrated accessories and they can transform an outfit in moments, as well as fulfilling a practical function.

They help to accentuate your waist and give more shaping to clothes with looser silhouettes. The senior royal’s top was longline and draped beautifully over the top of her wide-leg trousers.

Because of this and the matching colour, the two pieces are almost indistinguishable as anything other than a jumpsuit until you look much closer. The olive green tone has a warm, yellow undertone that makes it spring-like, but still quite muted.

Pistachio green is having a surge in popularity right now, but olive and khaki shades are also huge spring/summer fashion trends for this year. Olive is a little easier to wear if you’re not sure where to start with styling green as it’s less vibrant and complements neutral hues like black, white, cream and camel.

It has a more sophisticated feel than playful pastels and Queen Maxima confidently showed how to create a single colour look with olive green. Her court shoe heels from Gianvito Rossi were the same shade and had chic pointed toes that just peaked out underneath her trousers.

The Queen of the Netherlands also carried a green suede clutch bag that perfectly coordinated with her outfit. Her Ole Lynggaard earrings were shaped like a plant and added a subtle glimmer.

It was a gorgeous outfit and whilst it might not have been a jumpsuit, seeing Queen Maxima’s ensemble has got us searching high and low for one in a similar tone. With wedding season drawing nearer, a green jumpsuit would make a lovely alternative to wedding guest dresses.

You could also simply draw inspiration from this look when it comes to wearing more green in spring/summer too. Her Majesty looked sensational for the forum which brought together alumni, faculty and industry experts.

The theme was "Lead with Integrity, Shape the Future Now" and Queen Maxima went on stage to speak with Professor Mark Stabile. The forum focused on significant global challenges, from climate change to feeding the world responsibility and technological innovation.

You can also balance out bolder textures, with colour co-ordinated accessories - just as Maxima did. Despite opting for statement earrings and a whimsical beetle ring, these more maximalist pieces don’t feel out of place with the rest of her outfit.

By keeping to one cohesive colour palette, the accessories blend seamlessly with the rest of her outfit and add to the overall polished feel. Queen Maxima expertly styled a pair of casual wide-leg jeans for a royal engagement this week, pairing the laid-back piece with some bold jewellery to elevate the look into one worthy of a royal.

Just days after stepping out in a stunning turquoise power suit that left us reevaluating our love for muted autumn shades, Queen Maxima has debuted a more casual outfit that, while more laid-back, is no less chic than her business-ready look.

Proving the power of basic pieces, the royal stepped out in a crisp white vest, pairing the plain piece with some high-waisted, wide-leg denim trousers and a sleeveless blazer.

It may be late summer, but wedding season is still very much in swing, and Queen Maxima of the Netherlands just gave us some wedding guest outfit inspiration, re-wearing a beautiful blue dress. 

The monarch stepped out in a sleeveless, royal blue midi dress with piqué cotton and stencil pattern from one of her favourite brands, Natan, navy heels and elaborate cream headband to attend the opening of social cultural center De Basis in Soest. Her signature long blond hair was tied up around her headwear, and she wore minimal but beautiful, elegant accessories - including stunning silver and blue drop earrings – letting her statement dress do all the talking. 

The perfect wedding guest dress inspiration for the weather right now, the midi length provides appropriate coverage to keep her both cool inside and warmer outside. The high neck and cut off sleeves doing the same, and lending themselves perfectly to be layered under a thin shawl or cardigan for added warmth.

Stepping out at The Dutch Grand Prix at the weekend, Queen Maxima showed that green tones have a big place in her summer capsule wardrobe - and for good reason. 

Nailing one of the most classic fashion colour trends, the Dutch monarch wore rich green tones throughout her whole outfit - and her tropical print, flowing trousers and embroidered khaki cape were standout elements. 

Arriving at the event with husband, King Willem-Alexander, and daughter, Princess Alexia, Maxima looked striking in a pair of loose-fitting palm print trousers by Natan.

Keeping things loose and comfortable throughout the entire outfit, Queen Maxima chose an oversized crew neck T-shirt to wear alongside her statement pants - but made sure to dress the look up with her choice of shoes. 

While a pair of her best white trainers or some stylish flat sandals would've looked oh-so stylish with the bolder pieces, Maxima added some elevation with a pair of utterly timeless espadrille wedge heels by Valentino, boosting both the summery feel of the outfit and the elegance levels all at once. 

Of course, the weather gets more and more unpredictable as the end of August creeps in and the start of September draws near - and Maxima's gorgeously embroidered khaki cape was a lesson in layering to beat those chilly summer breezes.

Choosing a T-shirt and flared trousers combo as she visited a playground in Zevenbergschen Hoek this week, Queen Maxima channelled pink pastels with both her clothes and accessories.

A classic summer colour trend, the hue was ultra-flattering on the Dutch Queen and highlighted her blonde locks as she toured the small village, opting for the pretty pink top with her crisp white trousers.

Rather than looking underdressed, Queen Maxima looked timeless thanks to the top sculpted design. With its structured shoulders, capped sleeves and fitted style, the Natancouture T-shirt created a classic hourglass silhouette, while her trousers also emphasised this, with their high waisted and flared cut.

Eagle-eyed royal watchers and designer bag lovers will have also noticed Queen Maxima’s stunning Hermes clutch and its iconic ‘H’ emblem. A favourite of the royal, this nude toned bag has been paired with countless outfits thanks to its minimal and timeless design.

Though other monarchs have ditched the heels in recent years, the Queen decided to put her best foot forward in shoes from Ferragamo.

Coming in a similar colour palette, the nude pumps had an extra bit of glitz thanks to their golden chunky heel and bow detail.

White is shaping up to be one of the shades of the season, with fashion bible Vogue calling the shade the ideal choice for "the woman who bought into quiet luxury, but wants more from her restrained palette of oatmeals and taupes". Making an elegant change from bold and bright colours, the Spring/Summer 2024 catwalks saw white take centre stage at shows like Valentino, Stella McCartney and Gabriela Hearst.

An all-white outfit might feel brave, but as Sophie shows, choosing pieces with a Broderie anglaise is a key fashion trend for summer year after year, with intricate embroidery that looks elegant and romantic. Wearing the trend lends itself to summer holiday dressing, with lightweight cotton dresses and broderie-style blouses teaming seamlessly with chunky sandals and oversized beach bags.

The Dutch Royal Family's summer portrait shows what a tight-knit family they are - along with family dog Mambo. The family adopted Mambo in 2021, announcing his arrival on social media for World Pet Day, and the sweet pooch is often spotted in pictures with Maxima and the rest of the family. The Dutch royals also have three labradors called Skipper, Luna and Nala -  but they didn't make it onto the official portrait this time.

Queen Maxima of the Netherlands turned 53 on 17th May and whilst we might not know how she will be celebrating with her nearest and dearest today, the evening before was spent at the King Willem I Prize award ceremony. For this prestigious occasion she stepped out in one of her most magnificent outfits yet and it’s got us inspired to add some more sparkles - and a classic jumpsuit - to our summer capsule wardrobe. So often for formal events we see both the British Royal Family and European royals wearing vibrant dresses but Queen Maxima went for a one-shoulder jumpsuit designed by Natan.

The jumpsuit was crafted from silk crepe and has a one shoulder design that leads down into a waterfall of fabric. This mini train added a sense of drama to the already-statement look and we couldn’t help loving the asymmetrical neckline.

One shoulder designs are often overlooked when it comes to occasionwear but with a brilliant strapless bra underneath, they can be so beautiful and far easier to wear than you might think. It’s something a little different for a special event and whilst Queen Maxima’s dress was quite bold, there are so many alternatives on the high street now with more of a subtle strap.

The Queen of the Netherlands is known for embracing neon and other vibrant shades but with this look she let the design do all the talking. Steering clear of the brighter spring/summer fashion colour trends for 2024 her jumpsuit was a soft beige-pink tone. 

This neutral colour balanced out the more eye-catching design and made it so easy to pair with a range of accessories. For the King Willem I Prize awards Queen Maxima carried a mini pink clutch embellished with bright crystals arranged in a fun floral pattern on one side.

This playfulness was mirrored in the Queen’s choice of footwear which took a timeless court shoe design and transformed it into something altogether more magnificent. Just like the Princess of Wales, Queen Maxima is a fan of Gianvito Rossi heels for events. The senior royal wore the Gianvito Rossi Rania 105 pumps in pink and these had embellishments all over them. 

They were made from sheer organza silk and finished with suede trims and each pair has 4500 crystals on them to give them their fabulous shine. These are a far cry from your best white trainers but for big occasions and events they’re exceptional. Queen Maxima looked amazing in her ensemble and she kept her long blonde hair loose around her shoulders and had glowy makeup with a touch of smokey eyeliner. 

This was a stand-out outfit for the night before her birthday and to mark her big day on 17th May the Dutch Royal Family shared a new post on social media with a photo by ANP. The close-up snap of Queen Maxima showed her wearing crystal drop earrings and a stunning raspberry-toned dress with a semi-sheer neckline. Her lipstick matched the dress and her hair was in soft waves that framed her face. 

Queen Maxima just took jumper dresses to the next level with a timeless tweed moment and we’re seriously inspired.

Knitted dresses may not be one of the specific autumn/winter dress trends for 2023 but they’re a wardrobe staple for so many of us in the colder months - including the European royals. For a roundtable meeting with Mastercard’s European Advisory Board in Paris on 2nd November, Queen Maxima of the Netherlands pulled out all the stops in a tweed cardigan-style knitted dress. The combination of the traditional textured material and streamlined silhouette was incredibly timeless but the intricate detailing injected some fun. 

Known as a fan of bold colours, especially so far this autumn, this time Her Majesty went neutral with the piece designed by Oscar de la Renta. As seen in photos taken by Mastercard and Nuno Patricio, Queen Maxima’s knitted dress showcased neutrals at their very best with the tweed incorporating black, white, dove grey and a very slight amount of pale beige. 

With all four colours similarly muted and classic, they worked together perfectly and allowed the pattern to make the bold statement. That it certainly did and the check effect is a wonderfully traditional choice for autumn/winter and with the knitted fabric, evoked a sense of cosyness.

The dress had long sleeves and a modest v-neckline with a grey and black trim running down the length of the dress featuring tiny gold-toned buttons. This added a playful twist to the classic knitted jumper dress by turning it into a cardigan dress.

Queen Maxima’s outfit echoed this fun element with the fringing which acted as cuffs for her long sleeves and also appeared on the pockets either side of the skirt and on the bottom hem. The fringing was made up of the same colours as were already in the dress and they gave the look a dramatic edge without being too much for this significant appearance. 

The senior royal accentuated her silhouette even more with a simple black waist belt with a gold-toned buckle that coordinated beautifully with the buttons.

She also went for gold earrings to match, choosing statement gold hoops and although she didn’t appear to wear a jacket this would look stunning with one of the best winter coats. Queen Maxima is also clearly a fan of not only Oscar de la Renta but of the designer’s tweed dresses as in 2020 she wore a sleeveless midi dress with the same beautiful fringing and a matching jacket.

When autumn comes around, she’s proved that tweed is as timeless as ever but even if this style isn’t for you, Queen Maxima’s knitted dress has showcased a lovely way to switch up the more simple jumper dress silhouette. The addition of buttons can jazz up an outfit and make a jumper dress feel and look a little more slinky.

With a pair of the best boots to wear with dresses, a cardigan dress can look super polished and still have the cosiness we’re all looking for when the weather gets colder and we want to layer up.

Queen Maxima’s take on autumnal berry tones was an absolute winner as she stepped out in a gorgeous colour-block outfit.

With autumn now in full swing many of us might be experimenting with the autumn/winter fashion colour trends for 2023 but for others the classic jewel tones will forever be a staple for this time of year. This certainly seems to be the case for Queen Maxima of The Netherlands who went all-out in a sumptuous berry ensemble for her latest engagement. Stepping out on 1st November she attended the awards ceremony for the Prix de Rome Visual Arts 2023, as seen in photos taken by Patrick van Katwijk, ANP and Aad Hoogendoorn on social media. 

The awards spark the development of visual artists from both The Netherlands and the Caribbean parts of the Kingdom and it helps to increase their visibility. For this important occasion Queen Maxima’s berry tartan dress was the perfect choice and created the illusion of a two-piece outfit.

The bodice and sleeves of the Natan dress were plain and the crew neckline oozed classic elegance. The pencil-style skirt then took the more traditional top half in a slightly more fun and even more wintery direction with a stunning tartan pattern.

Keeping to the berry-red colour palette with similar tones, the modest knee-length skirt also featured mustard, black and white shades, adding extra dimension and contrast to the look. Queen Maxima has been at the top of her style game lately, what with her chic white shirt and orange maxi-skirt outfit during her visit to Kenya to her vibrant yellow co-ord. Now though, the European royal has embraced one of Kate Middleton's favourite autumn/winter fashion trends - the trouser suit.

Stepping out in the smart, blue co-ord for a visit to the Dutch Design Week in Eindhoven on October 26, Queen Maxima pulled out all the stops. Not only did she elevate her look with the addition of a 'Quiet Luxury' handbag and a trendy pair of chunky boots, but she also wore one of autumn's most popular nail colours.

Burgundy and other variations of dark red are very popular autumn nail colours - not to mention fashion colour trends - and clearly Queen Maxima is a fan. Just a few days prior the royal wore a coordinating burgundy outfit, complete with matching heels and now, she's embracing the hue on her fingernails also. 

She paired her chic and statement manicure with an equally bold, blue pantsuit, which featured black button detailing. To make her outfit feel very cohesive and intentional, Queen Maxima then matched her shoulder bag and heeled boots to the buttons on her blazer, while also opting for a silver pair of flower-shaped earrings.

The outfit was very clean and elegant, the perfect inspiration for a work capsule wardrobe, or anyone seeking ideas for smart occasionwear. We'd like to take a moment to appreciate Queen Maxima's very stylish - and not to mention trendy - boots, with their chunky soles and large heels.

As mentioned, this chic ensemble comes after the royal's three-day trip to Kenya, in her capacity as United Nations Secretary General's Special Advocate, where she also wore a number of stylish looks, ranging from wardrobe staples to more statement pieces.

Pantsuits though, are proving to be very popular among both the European and British royals. Indeed, Crown Princess Mary opted for a green co-ord during her address at the BUPL's 50th-anniversary event in Copenhagen earlier this month, while the Princess of Wales wore a timeless navy pinstripe number to the Grange Pavilion in Cardiff.

Queen Maxima of the Netherlands was in Kenya for a three-day visit recently in her capacity as United Nations Secretary General's Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development. On October 25, the third and final day of her visit, the Queen met with the Kenyan Minister of Finance, Njuguna Ndungu at the Radisson hotel. For this important meeting, the Queen opted for business chic in a striped maroon skater dress with matching earrings, and the most lovely pair of burgundy heels we've seen this season. 

While opting for a pair of black heels is a safe go-to for most, the Queen switched things up by wearing heels with a pop of colour that perfectly coordinated with her look. This shade of burgundy is very much aligned with the autumn/winter fashion trends of 2023 and showed off the Queen's trendy style.

The Queen was wearing the 'Gianvito 105 Royale Burgundy Suede Pumps' from the brand Gianvito Rossi. Although the brand no longer stocks these exact shoes, they sell a similar style, the 'Gianvito 70' which has a slightly lower heel but a very similar design. There are also a number of other high-street brands that sell similar burgundy suede court heels.

The Queen also wore a designer burgundy dress from the Couture brand, Natan and a pair of striped tassel-style earrings that matched her dress. She paired this with a burgundy crocodile print Sophie Habsburg clutch. Although the Queen went hell for leather with the burgundy theme, the colour-blocking look worked wonderfully and showcased the Queen's fabulous sense of style.

When it comes to the best shirts it’s hard to beat a white shirt for its versatility and elegance and the European royals know how to take this staple to the next level. Queen Letizia’s silk shirt with its on-trend French tuck was a stand-out off-duty look of the summer but Queen Maxima’s white shirt styling for an official visit to Kenya just delivered a masterclass in how to dress this piece up for autumn. 

The Queen of the Netherlands visited Nairobi in her capacity as the United Nations Secretary-General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development. She went to receive a UN report on Digital Financial Inclusion on 24th October and her outfit was the perfect blend of formal and fun.

Queen Maxima’s white shirt was as classic as it’s possible to be and featured a simple smart collar and long, cuffed sleeves. This is a piece that would look gorgeous with everything from a pair of the most comfortable jeans to a statement leather pencil skirt or sequined skirt for a more festive feel as the party season approaches.

With autumn very much here at the moment, though, it’s Her Majesty’s bold maxi skirt and belt that’s caught our eye with its gorgeous tones. She showcased how to effortlessly blend a work-wear chic shirt with more playful additions with this combination. 

The Etro silk crepe skirt featured a stunning A-line shape and fell dramatically to the floor. This provided the movement of a summer dress without being too much and the paisley-style pattern incorporated burnt orange, white, silvery grey and softer orange hues. 

This was echoed in Queen Maxima’s choice of waist belt which was a vivid orange and accentuated her silhouette. Separating Queen Maxima’s white shirt from her skirt, this pop of orange at her waist added structure to the look and made it seem even more fashion-forward and polished.

Her clutch bag and suede strap sandals worked perfectly with the belt and skirt. Although Queen Maxima opted for sandals in the warmer Kenyan weather, this timeless look would be just as stunning in colder temperatures paired with some tan knee high or ankle boots. Alternatively, change up the white shirt for a black shirt and add a pair of tights, black boots and a matching coat for an equally elegant take on Her Majesty’s outfit.  

Both her fingernails and toenails were painted a bold red-orange to match her skirt and Queen Maxima allowed her shirt and maxi skirt combination to do all the talking, keeping her blonde tresses tied back away from her face. Her make-up was fresh and glowy, with a pair of orange, beaded hoop earrings continuing the autumnal orange theme. 

Her choice to style her white shirt with these orange-orientated pieces comes just a few days after Queen Maxima’s copper leaf earrings and firework-inspired co-ord showed her fully embracing this colour. It’s a shift away from the bright red that is one of the autumn/winter fashion trends for 2023, but a great way to add a bit more vibrancy to your outfits without being quite as daring and orange pairs so gorgeously with so many neutral tones - and classic pieces like a white shirt!

Despite offering us a plethora of autumn fashion trend inspiration, what with that green leather skirt and stiletto look to her knee-high boots, Queen Maxima just hopped on Kate Middleton and Queen Letizia's go-to styling trick, with a chic, monochromatic suit look.

Rather than rocking another muted and autumnal shade the royal instead opted for 'dopamine dressing,' with a vibrant, mustard-yellow co-ord - and we've found the perfect pieces to recreate her sunny attire.

Stepping out on October 23, during her visit to Kenya, Queen Maxima was pictured wearing a long, bright yellow blouse with a matching pair of tailored trousers, which she paired with a large, brown belt - worn around her waist - and a sleek, brown and cream  'Quiet Luxury' handbag.

The pieces were lightweight, as she spent much of her visit outdoors, even at one moment donning a stylish pair of large, rounded sunglasses.

Her jewellery though, is what really stole focus as she complimented her statement outfit with a pair of large, white and yellow daisy earrings. She also wore an assortment of silver rings, bracelets and a chic watch - similar to that of Kate Middleton's Cartier watch, which she wears often.

To complete the look, Queen Maxima opted for a pair of subtle ballet flats, a shoe trend that Duchess Sophie is also known to love, as well as the Princess of Wales.

The European royal is known for her chic and modern styling choices, with her outfits ranging from bold prints to minimalistic neutrals, like her all-beige co-ord for instance - which she wore during her visit to the BlueCity in Rotterdam. It was here that she also proved she has her finger on the pulse when it comes to nail trends (quite literally!), as she debuted one of 2023's most popular hues in the form of her 'red wine' nails. 

As for her yellow outfit itself,  thankfully it's very easy to recreate as it centres around just one block shade, with a few intentional but staple accessories - all of which would be right at home in your capsule wardrobe.

Yellow is also a surprisingly versatile colour as it's often synonymous with both autumn and summer dressing.

During her state visit to South Africa on Friday (October 20), Queen Maxima stepped out in a super floral outfit that has delighted fans on social media. The Queen of the Netherlands’ outfit was made up entirely of repeat pieces we’ve seen before, but the fresh, colour coordinated look gave a pop of something fresh and vibrant for the autumnal weather.

Queen Maxima – who is known to rock a vibrant colour, like her bold orange dress in September – stepped out in South Africa in another dazzling outfit, and we love that she’s perfectly on trend as more and more people consider how to wear red throughout autumn/winter 2023.  

While the Queen of the Netherlands has proved she is more than capable of nailing the more traditional autumn fashion in perfect knee-high boots earlier this month, her latest floral themed ensemble is certainly not the usual autumnal attire – but it is on trend.  

While it might be the season to start investing in the best knitwear brands, there’s a growing trend in not casting your colourful hues to the back of the wardrobe until spring comes back around.

And Maxima’s colour-coordinated look will no doubt inspire more people to take up the trend!

The focal point is her stunning Natan Couture floral dress, which is decorated with a variety of flowers.

The dress – the Natan Couture Floral Sheath Dress – features pops of colours, including blue, but the majority of the flowers are a bold red, contrasting perfectly with the soft white material.

Maxima first wore the couture dress in 2017, during a springtime visit to Berlin. She also wore it a year later, while visiting Mexico.  

While the exact dress Maxima is wearing no longer appears to be on sale, we’ve found a couple of dresses that take inspiration from the style and colours if you’re feeling inspired this autumn.

To complete her look, Queen Maxima paired her dress with shoes from the same designer, Natan Couture’s PVC D'Orsay Pumps in Red Suede and Leather.

The Queen’s gorgeous red hat is another repeat, from one of her favourite hat designers (and royal warrant holder) Maison Fabienne Delvigne. She carried a poppy red clutch and wore earrings which also featured cascading red stones.

Queen Maxima of the Netherlands looked incredible on October 19 as she stepped out for a concert in Johannesburg.

Queen Maxima looked wonderful as she and the King stepped out with Cyril Ramaphosa, the President of South Africa for the second day of their tour of South Africa. The royal couple attended a Performance at the Staatstheater and dressed up for this high-class occasion. 

The Queen of the Netherlands wore a sparkling top and skirt from the couture brand, Maison Natan. The sparking sequined firework style dress was in a stylish copper shade that's so in line with the autumn/winter fashion trends of 2023. She paired this look with a pair of mango metallic pumps from the brand Gianvito Rossi. 

The most incredible part of her look was the Queen's statement leaf style earrings that perfectly matched her copper ensemble and added the perfect seasonal style to this look. The Queen's earrings were the Autumn Coloured 18K gold and aluminium Geranium Leaf clip-on earrings from JAR Jewelry. 

Although they are stunning, these earrings are rather expensive and perhaps not the best purchase for the everyday shopper. However, there are plenty of stores that sell very similar pieces that are far more affordable and just as chic.

A post from the Royal Instagram account revealed that the couple are ending their tour of South Africa on Friday, October 20. In English, the caption of the post read, "The life stories of five dancers from the South African city of Soweto are at the centre of the performance 'Unbreakable'. In a combination of play, African dance styles, music and visuals, they tell about the path they have walked."

"As a sign of appreciation for the hospitality offered, the Royal Couple offers the President of South Africa the performance at the State Theatre in Pretoria. The performance is performed by Lloyds company with Dutch musicians and the South African dancers of the Soweto Skeleton Movers. After the show the Royal Couple leaves for Cape Town. Tomorrow is the last day of the state visit to South Africa," the post concluded.

Queen Maxima's navy trench and tangerine accessories were the perfect combination as Her Majesty arrived in Pretoria for a royal visit.

On October 18, the King and Queen of the Netherlands arrived at the Waterkloof Air Force base to begin their three-day state visit to South Africa. The couple arrived in Pretoria in the Spring sunshine and looked incredibly sharp as they stepped off the plane in matching navy ensembles. 

The Queen wore one of the best trench coats we've seen, which was actually a navy blue dress and bolero from Jantaminiai and was designed to look just like a coat. This style looked just like a short style Burberry trench coat and perfectly showed off the Queen's toned legs and fabulously colourful heels.

Upon arrival the Queen was presented with a bouquet of proteas, the national flower of South Africa. These beautiful floral hues perfectly complemented the Queen's orange accessories, such as her ornate hat, her Banana Republic clutch, and her delicate pointed orange heels. Sensibly, the Queen changed from her high heels during the day and opted for some comfortable ballerina flats in the same tangerine shade to continue the engagement. 

A post from the Royal Family of the Netherlands gave a little bit more information about the royal couple's visit to South Africa. In English, the caption of the post read, "The state visit to South Africa has begun! King William-Alexander and Queen Máxima arriving at Pretoria airport, the administrative capital of South Africa. The state visit is sign of the good relations and an equal partnership between the two countries. The visit will take place from Wednesday 18 until Friday 20 October."

On Tuesday, October 17, 2023, Queen Maxima visited the BlueCity in Rotterdam where entrepreneurs and pioneers work on projects which contribute to a society without waste. For this important engagement, Queen Maxima nailed some of the best autumn/winter fashion trends of 2023 as she wore the perfect cosy yet chic beige trousers and top co-ord for a recent engagement.

The Queen's upscale look was a beige ensemble from the Belgian designer Natan Couture paired with stunning gold jewellery pieces including a pair of Vintage Triple Textured Pearls Disc Earrings from Mercedes Robirosa.

The Queen wore a splash of colour on her nails as she opted for a rich red wine hue that added a glamorous and sexy side to her beige look. Maxima also wore a pair of nude knee-high boots that are so on trend and were visible peeking out underneath her trousers. 

She also carried a large oversized beige clutch with a chunky buckle detail that perfectly matched her co-ord and boots.

The Queen has been wearing some incredible outfits recently and has been giving us a perfect lesson in how to dress for the autumn season. Recently, Queen Maxima was the epitome of autumnal chic as she braved the rain in a cream dress with chestnut brown accessories.

For this busy day, Her Majesty wore a professional and fashionable ensemble that included a midi skirt, pussy bow blouse, and the most stunning pair of boots that are most certainly some of the best black boots, that are perfectly in line with the autumn/winter 2023 fashion trends.

The Queen's boots were the Gianvito Rossi ‘Laura 85’ Black Leather Knee Boots which retailed at around £1,195 when they were sold by the brand. Unfortunately, the brand no longer stocks these fabulous boots, but there are plenty of high-street brands that sell very similar styles that are much more affordable.

The Queen's cool weather ensemble paired a black pussy-bow blouse with a camel-coloured midi wool skirt from Massimo Dutti that she has been snapped in before. She also completed this look by carrying a vintage black leather and bamboo handle bag from Susan Gail that matched her boots and blouse. The Queen also wore a pair of tights with her boots which protected her legs from the cooler weather in Amsterdam.

Explaining the purpose of the Queen's engagements, a post about Queen Maxima's day was shared on social media. Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, 55, is always impressing us with her impeccable style, and this glitzy gold gown is certainly no exception.

Recently, we've been totally enamored by Queen Maxima of the Netherlands' looks. One of her most recent looks, a green leather skirt, which she paired with some sexy stilettos, has been eternally on our minds - as well as her super chic bold orange dress, which she wore with a matching clutch purse. The dress from Valentino has been a favourite of the Queen's since 2019 and is part of the brand's 1969 collection. The dress is made in Italy, decorated with beads and sequins around the neckline and features a pleated skirt and a print that's been popular for decades.

Accessorizing with this dress, the Queen wore a pair of red leather pumps from Gianvito Rossi and a matching red Natan Couture clutch. The Queen's heels are actually the exact same as Kate Middleton's favourite red heels, as both royals are fans of the Gianvito 105s, which come in an array of colours, including berry red.

Queen's Maxima's red heels are still available to purchase from the designer brand, and there are various brands that sell dresses and clutches that are very similar to the designer pieces worn by the Queen.

Queen Maxima attended the event at the UNSGSA in her capacity as United Nations Secretary General's Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development. On Thursday, the Queen of the Netherlands looked chic as she attended the opening of the UNLimited festival of the Association of Universities of the Netherlands.

For the engagement, the Queen wore a crepe jumpsuit from Belgian designer Maison Natan which was a rich shade of navy blue. The jumpsuit featured long cigarette-style trouser legs and three-quarter-length sleeves. The tailored jumpsuit had a formal suit style front with a large collar and a cinched-in waist. 

Accessorising with this jumpsuit, the Queen wore her go-to pair of Gianvito Rossi '105’ Red Suede Pumps. The ruby red suede shoes were perfectly complemented by a matching rouge clutch and a pair of bold oversized earrings in the same shade. Queen Maxima of the Netherlands is known for being one of the most stylish of the European royals, among the likes of Queen Letizia of Spain and Crown Princess Mary of Denmark. 

The Dutch Queen, who is married to King Willem-Alexander, often wows with her sartorial choices when stepping out for official events, recently impressing with a gorgeous pink and gold look and her bold orange dress with matching clutch and heels, just to name a couple. 

Now, she's nailed autumnal chic while appearing in Rotterdam for a visit to the Wood and Furniture College. 

Attempting to stay dry under a large, transparent umbrella, Queen Maxima was a vision in cream and brown, sporting a cream midi shirt dress with a V-neck and smart collar by Massimo Dutti. 

Adding a touch of autumnal chestnut brown to the fresh cream look, Maxima tied the look together with a wide brown leather belt worn to cinch in her waist, with the Vaincourt Paris piece featuring a simple buckle detail. 

Although Queen Maxima's brolly didn't quite cooperate, her impeccably harmonised outfit ensured she still looked totally put together and polished, with her shoes and clutch bag coordinating flawlessly. 

Taking a leaf out of the Princess of Wales's style book, Queen Maxima chose a pair of Gianvito Rossi heels - a designer that features heavily in Princess Catherine's designer heel collection. 

Maxima looked so elegant in the 105 Pumps in Tan Nappa Leather - and the classic stiletto heels are available in a huge range of colours and designs if you fancy investing in a pair yourself. 

On the handbag front, a simple clutch bag was on the cards, with Maxima holding a small, woven warm brown piece.

The British royals aren't the only regal folks out there with impeccable senses of style - there are plenty of members of European royalty, like Queen Maxima of the Netherlands, who are impressing us with their fashion credentials. We've beheld some of Queen Maxima's best looks in the past, such as her bold orange dress, for example - and her most recent look just further proved to us just how chic she really is. 

While attending a meeting regarding the gaming industry in Amsterdam, the Queen looked unsurprisingly beautiful in a shimmering gold top and pair of pink palazzo pants.

Maxima stepped out in style, wearing her goldish-green top from Natan Couture, a Belgian brand the Queen often supports. The top was paired perfectly with a very large belt of the same colour, which featured a square buckle. 

She also wore a pair of pale pink palazzo pants, also from Natan Couture, which complemented the earthy hue of her top perfectly. To accessorize the look, she sported a pair of Gianvito Rossi suede pump heels - a brand that other notable royals such as Princess Catherine wear frequently. 

She also donned a clutch purse from Sophie Habsburg and a pair of sparkly earrings to finish the look off, adding her finishing touches to an already super stylish outfit. 

Although her outfit was quite bold in colour, she kept her beauty look pretty simple, opting for her signature blonde hair to be kept down, falling naturally over her shoulders, and wore only a soft glam makeup look, keeping things relatively natural. 

Her visit to the Dutch Games Association, which took place on 12 September, was filled with meetings and interactions - and she even got to play the PlayStation game "Horizon" during her visit.
