The reason Gwyneth Paltrow has never been able to watch Oprah's infamous interview with Harry and Meghan is honestly extremely relatable and rather hilarious. 

We all remember that fateful day in 2021 where Oprah's legendary interview with Harry and Meghan dropped for the world to see. We remember some of the most iconic lines from it ("Were you silent or were you silenced?" Still, chills), and most notably, we remember how it completely rocked the pop culture landscape - and still does, even two years after it aired. Well, everyone remembers, perhaps, except Gwyneth Paltrow. 

In a new, all-encompassing interview with Bustle, Gwyneth revealed to interviewer Emma Rosenblum that she had never seen the interview, and doesn't really have plans to watch it. Not for any sort of political reason, she said - mostly because she doesn't know where to find it. 

Emma, who interviewed Gwyneth for Bustle, jokingly said to her, "I feel like I’m Oprah and I’m interviewing Meghan Markle in the glorious California sun. There should be a camera here, and I’m like, 'Tell me about Harry.'"

Gwyneth then revealed her truth: "Do you know I’m the only person in America that did not see that interview?"

After inquiring why she never chose to watch, Gwyneth gave a pretty relatable answer. "I didn’t watch it at the time, and now I can’t... I don’t know where to find it. I’m so out of it culturally. It’s really embarrassing," she said.

She then goes on to explain just how culturally "out of it" she is, and usually has "no idea" what her friends are talking about in regard to pop culture. 

"I was sitting with a friend yesterday, and she was like, 'Did you see something, something… about…' I was like, 'What?'" she explains. "She goes, 'What is wrong with you?' It was like three big things in a row, and I was like, 'I have no idea what you’re talking about.'"

So, if Gwyneth isn't keeping up with pop culture in her spare time, what does she look at on social media? According to her, lots of "cool functional psychologists and psychiatrists."

"I’m on social media, but I’m really only on Instagram. The things that I follow, that come up for me, are lots of food and, you know, cool functional psychologists and psychiatrists," she said. 

She also went on to explain why she often "mutes" certain accounts on Instagram. "I end up muting a lot of things. I don’t know, I find it hard. I wish I could not be on it, but at the same time, you do want to have a sense of what’s going on," she explained. "Then, of course, I need it for work, and they always make me do these stupid things on it all the time."

Queen Elizabeth II delayed the release of the Royal Family's official statement on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's interview with Oprah Winfrey last year so that she could "sleep on it", according to a royal insider. 

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex hit headlines in March 2021 with their appearance on the CBS special, in which they shared multiple shocking revelations about their experience as senior members of the British monarchy.

Perhaps one of the most notable charges made by the A-list couple against the Royal Family in the 90-minute program was the accusations of racism against Buckingham Palace. Harry and Meghan stunned both Oprah and audiences with their allegations that an unnamed member of the Firm had raised 'concerns' about 'how dark' the skin color of their first child, Archie Mountbatten Windsor, would be when he was born. 

The interview posed a "massive challenge" for the PR team at Buckingham Palace, Valentine Low has now revealed in his new book, Courtiers: The Hidden Power Behind the Crown.

"The courtiers faced another massive challenge: how to deal with the Oprah interview. There had been so many allegations made by the couple – about racism, about security, about Meghan's mental health – that it was hard to know where to start," the Sunday Times correspondent writes. 

"The private secretaries and communications secretaries had long debates about how to deal with the issue, especially what one of them awkwardly called 'the R word'. That had come up because of remarks that a member of the royal family supposedly made about the color of Harry and Meghan’s future baby’s skin." 

The Royal Family's courtiers had an official statement responding to the Sussexes' claims ready by 2 pm the day after the interview had aired in the US but had to wait several more hours to release it. 

"The Palace stayed completely silent because the Queen decided that she wanted to sleep on it," Low writes. "She was not going to be rushed into saying anything precipitate. It was a reminder that, while the courtiers might do all the groundwork, the final decisions are made by the royal family." 

Buckingham Palace finally issued its statement on March 9, two days after it had premiered to US audiences. 

"The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan," the short message read. 

"The issues raised, particularly that of race, are concerning. While some recollections may vary, they are taken very seriously and will be addressed by the family privately." 

According to a royal expert, Meghan's podcast could be more damaging than the Oprah interview was, for the royal family - as she has free reign over what to talk about for the next 11 weeks.

Meghan claimed a huge victory last week, as her new podcast Archetypes, became a huge success, knocking Joe Rogan's show, The Joe Rogan Experience, out of the number one spot on Spotify's most-listened to chart on Thursday.

During the first episode of the podcast, Meghan interviewed good friend tennis player, Serena Williams, while also talking about the misconception of ambition. However, a royal biographer has said that the podcast 'has the potential to be even more damaging than the Oprah interview.'

The now famous Oprah interview was a tell-all for the Duke and Duchess, which even surprised their host - with Oprah revealing even she was surprised that Meghan and Harry went 'all the way there'. 

The first episode, of the podcast, which will run for 12 weeks, was listened to by millions of people around the world and quickly climbed to the top position in the US, Canada, Australia, Ireland, and the United Kingdom. Titled the Misconception of Ambition, the first episode was a 57-minute-long discussion with Serena and Dr. Laura Kay, a leading authority on gender in the workplace.

Talking about her own experiences of ambition, and how they didn't change until she started to date Prince Harry, she said on the podcast, "I don't remember ever personally feeling the negative connotation behind the word 'ambitious' until I started dating my now husband."

But, with 11 episodes left, Duncan Larcombe, a royal biographer has said this could just be the start of Meghan talking about her experiences as a senior royal. “This was the opening salvo in Meghan’s 12-week war. It has the potential to be even more damaging than the Oprah interview because it is Meghan, in her own words, on her own show, doing exactly what she wants, and the fact is she took the first opportunity to plunge the knife in," he claimed to the Daily Beast.

The royal expert went on to say, "This will have come as a great relief to the executives on the other side of the glass at Spotify, who paid millions of dollars for her."

However, Larcombe says that, despite this, the podcast has massive potential, "It’s a huge hit, of course, but the fact that she was interviewing Serena Williams is almost completely irrelevant to the listening figures. Meghan has star power and this was all about Meghan being Meghan.”

Harry and Meghan launched their production company, Archewell Audio, two years ago -  reportedly signing an $18 million, three-year podcast deal with Spotify for their new show. 

After 19 years on the air, the Ellen DeGeneres Show officially ends today and talk show host Oprah Winfrey has some very wise words of advice for her pal ahead of today’s final episode.

Ellen DeGeneres bid farewell to her audience after taping the final episode ever of her show last month, but it’s Oprah’s appearance on an episode earlier this week that has got audience members teary-eyed.

Oprah, who recently debuted a COVID-19 documentary and wrapped up her own eponymous talk show over a decade ago, told Ellen to consider taking some well-deserved time off.

"Some real time," she said. "Because you know what I did? I took a week off and then I went right back into work. Take some time, okay? Do you hear me?"

In response, Ellen, whose show lost a million viewers last year, said that, she "has to keep working because I like to stay busy." The host mentioned a few upcoming projects, including potential house-flipping efforts alongside her wife Portia de Rossi and, perhaps, a joint venture with Oprah herself.

Although the two are, in fact, neighbors in Montecito, California, Ellen was totally kidding about the proposition, which included potential show ideas like Real Ex-Talk Show Hosts of Santa Barbara, CSI: Montecito and Grand Ole O-pry.

Throughout her appearance, Oprah also mentioned having spoken to Ellen’s backstage staff members before stepping in front of the camera. 

"I said to everybody, 'I know what this feels like with only a few days left.' I just was really applauding your team for making this show what it's been for 19 years," said Oprah. "Obviously, you're the face out front but it's everybody back there that actually makes it work. I was tearing it up saying, 'Guys, what a great job you've done holding this together.'"

Oprah then went on saying, "You have all of these people who become your family. This becomes your home. That's what happens. Families come together, relationships are built. It becomes home for hundreds of people who are all supporting you and helping you be as great as you are."

Agreeing with her friend, Ellen mentioned that she had been thanking her staff "every single day." She went on thank Oprah herself for being a guest on the episode, specifically explaining that there is "a small group of people who understand what this job is and an even smaller group of women [who do]."

The Duchess of Sussex is apparently in talks with Oprah about a second bombshell interview as Meghan Markle is trying to do some 'damage control' after the launch of a new book, The Palace Papers.

The Palace Papers: Inside The House Of Windsor, The Truth And The Turmoil is a recent book from former Vanity Fair editor, Tina Brown. In this book, the author has claimed that Harry and Meghan ‘completely underestimated’ life outside of the Royal Family and that Meghan Markle’s grave misunderstanding of Princess Diana’s past left her with an ‘anathema’ for royal work. 

It is alleged that these reports have frustrated the Duchess of Sussex who is now looking to take part in a second Oprah interview in order to clear up some of the damage caused to her reputation. 

"These latest claims have really gotten under Meghan’s skin,” an insider close to Meghan Markle told Heat. "She’s told her team that something needs to be done. She’s so sick of the negative headlines and she’s desperate to come out fighting with some major damage control."

The source added that an interview with Oprah was certainly on the cards and felt like the only good option for the Duchess. "Meghan feels as though doing another chat with Oprah is the best way to change the narrative and counter all the other negative claims she’s read about herself recently. She’s been in contact with Oprah’s people already," claimed the source.

The couple's first interview with Oprah in March 2021 was explosive and made headlines as the royal couple discussed their treatment by the firm. 

In the interview, the Duke and Duchess revealed the shocking comments about Archie by a certain member of the Royal Family. It was later claimed that Prince Charles was the 'royal racist' by another author, but this has never been confirmed.

There were also a number of other claims by the couple about the firm and the extended Royal Family which shocked fans and even Oprah revealed she was surprised that Meghan and Harry went 'all the way there' in their interview. 

It is unclear if this second interview between Oprah and Meghan Markle is to take place, but if the reports are correct, royal fans could be in for another bombshell interview.

Meghan Markle's 'credibility' is 'on the line' following the news that her half-sister, Samantha, is suing her for 'defamation'. 

In court documents obtained by TMZ, the 57-year-old accuses the Duchess of Sussex of making 'false and malicious statements' in her March 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey. 

Samantha claims that Meghan lied multiple times in the explosive CBS special, blasting the 40-year-old for spinning a 'rags to royalty' narrative and identifying as an 'only child'. 

She also dismissed the Duchess' previous statements that she worked to fund her education, claiming that their father, Thomas Markle, paid for the aspiring actress to attend 'elite and expensive' private schools. 

Meghan's attorney, Michael Kump, has since called Samantha's lawsuit "baseless and absurd", adding that it is "just a continuation of a pattern of disturbing behavior" and promising to give it "the minimum attention necessary, which is all it deserves."

Samantha is now seeking a reported $75,000 in damages from the royal icon, after alleging that the Duchess' 'lies' have negatively impacted sales of her autobiography and hindered her employment prospects. The former actress and model, who lives in Florida, also says that she has suffered mental distress in light of her half-sister's statements. 

However, it looks unlikely that Samantha will manage to convince the court that she deserves a payout. 

"Under US law it is very difficult to win at these types of cases," US attorney Juanita Ingram tells woman&home. "Her sister [Samantha] would have to not only prove that the statements were false but also that Meghan made them with the clear intent to harm her if she wants to prove the malicious claim." 

Despite this, Ingram has warned that the Duchess' legal team should still take the lawsuit seriously—if they want to protect their A-list client's reputation. 

"Make no mistake, Meghan Markle’s credibility is on the line and if she is required to be deposed under oath, it is conceivable that anything can be asked but equally plausible that some topics that are not in the scope of the lawsuit would not be permitted as material to this lawsuit (such as topics pertaining to the royal family)," the award-winning attorney added. 

Samantha first threatened to take legal action against the former Suits star in November 2021, after claiming Meghan falsely briefed about her to the authors of Finding Freedom, Omid Scobie and Carole Durand. 

"I'm speaking to one lawyer in England and one in the US as there are different statutory windows and different issues," she told reporters at the time. The estranged sisters, who today live nearly 3,000 miles apart, have reportedly not spoken since 2016.

The Duke of Cambridge might have looked happy to reunite with his brother, the Duke of Sussex, for their late mother's 60th birthday memorial in London last summer—but according to an inside source, he was far from pleased to see him. 

It's no secret that tensions were high between the royal brothers at the Sunken Garden service, with Prince Harry's Oprah interview in March 2021 reportedly exacerbating their so-called feud. 

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who withdrew their roles as senior working royals and emigrated to the US in January 2020, made a series of sharp allegations about their British family during the bombshell CBS special—including accusations of racism against Buckingham Palace. Harry also claimed that his father, Prince Charles, and Prince William, the heirs to the throne, are both "trapped" in the Royal Family and unable to "leave that system." 

The provocative comments apparently left the Duke of Cambridge, who has yet to address the rift publicly, "reeling" and "very upset". 

He saw his younger brother for the first time since his high-profile move in April 2021, at the funeral for Prince Philip, who died age 99 in Windsor Castle. The siblings kept it civil for the somber affair but were reportedly unable to reach a full reconciliation during Harry's short trip home. 

By the time Princess Diana's statue unveiling service at Kensington Palace rolled around in July, it's understood that they had still not managed to make amends. 

"William was still furious," a close friend of the Royal Family told the Sunday Times. "He had taken the view that he’d only give so much. He just didn’t want to go there [with Harry]."

Fortunately, Kate Middleton, who was not present at the statue unveiling, was helping to smooth things over between her husband and brother-in-law behind the scenes. 

“[Catherine] was amazing behind the scenes when Harry came," a royal aide said. 

The Duke of Sussex flew back to Los Angeles, where he and the Duchess reside with their two children, Archie and Lilibet, just one day after the poignant event. It was speculated that Harry and Meghan would return to the UK for Christmas 2021, but Covid-19 restrictions and the Queen's ongoing health concerns reportedly hampered their travel plans. 

The transatlantic couple is expected to make a trip back to Britain for Her Majesty's Platinum Jubilee 2022 this June, where they will hopefully be able to introduce the monarch to her great-granddaughter in person. 

They moved into their California mansion in July 2020, when they left the UK, now Meghan Markle and her husband Prince Harry could be moving out of their nine-bedroom mansion in Montecito, Santa Barbara.

Talking to the Daily Mirror a source close to the couple said, "They are thinking of selling their house there. However, it won't be on the market because of who they are. It's only being shown to people who are confirmed with funds and are serious buyers."

However, the couple won't be going far, with the source adding, "They want to stay in the neighborhood or nearby but they aren't over the moon about the house and the location."

Harry and Meghan's current mansion, which is 18,000 square feet, and set on five acres of land has a huge nine bedrooms and 16 bathrooms. 

The mansion is also said to have all the luxury amenities you could wish for—including a library, an office, a chic, Italian-looking wine cellar, a games room, a movie theatre and a covered garage with space for five cars.

While the house also has a spa, complete with sauna and a gym. Outside they also have an enormous outdoor swimming pool, a tennis court, a tea house (how very British) and even some lovely tiered rose gardens.

The English singer appeared on the popular Youtube beauty channel, NikkieTutorials, last night, for a candid chat and a cheeky drink—all whilst getting her glam on, of course. 

Always up for the banter, Adele allowed Nikkie de Jager to doll up half (yes, half) her face and leave the other side naked, as part of the Dutch makeup artist's wildly successful 'The Power of Makeup' series.

The Adele One Night Only TV special was met with enthusiasm by fans across the globe while we wait for the Adele tour 2022 to kick off. And yet, although treated to some of the singer’s newest material off her upcoming album 30 the public was also enraptured by the pretty detailed interview that the star granted Oprah Winfrey.

Among the many topics that the duo touched upon was the relationship between Adele’s own parents. But the conversation left many wondering about Adele’s mom specifically.

Who is Adele's mom?

Born Penny Susan Adkins in Islington, England in 1968, Adele's mom was forced to drop out of college when she became unexpectedly pregnant with Adele at the age of 18.

Penny reportedly met Adele's dad, Mark Evans, at the King's Head pub in North London. Although they never got married, the couple raised their daughter together up until 1999, when Mark's alcohol addiction took a hold of him.

During last night’s special, Adele chronicled her relationship with Mark, revealing that, although strained, they were able to come to terms with their differences before he passed in May of this year.

During the live event, Adele also mentioned that Penny was the one caring for Mark towards the end of his life.

What has Adele revealed about her mom in the past?

In the past, the singer opened up about her mother’s own challenges. "[My mother] fell pregnant with me when she would have been applying for uni, but chose to have me instead," she once relealed. "She never, ever reminds me of that. I will try to remember it."

After being "thrown out" of her family home at the age of 18 to "develop a sense of independence" and having her daughter, Penny moved into emergency housing for single mothers while receiving assistance from the National Childbirth Trust.

The mother-and-daughter duo eventually moved into a two-bedroom apartment in Tottenham and lived together until the release of Adele's debut album, 19, in 2008. The singer did, however, move back in with her mother before the release of her second album, 21. 

"I was missing her a lot. It's nice just to hear her there. There's a really long hallway and her room is at the other end but just hearing her pottering about is really comforting," Adele has said in the past. “And it's nice to have someone to come home and make a cup of tea for when you've been away for ages."

Adele often does mention her mother in interviews, referring to her as her "best friend" and acknowledging the importance she's had in the establishment of her career. Penny has also reportedly been the inspiration behind some of the star's most recognized tracks, including Million Years Ago and Hometown Glory, the first song Adele has ever written (another topic she discussed on the special last night). 

Back in 2013, according to the London Evening Standard, Adele bought Penny a $960,000 luxury apartment in London's Notting Hill neighborhood.

Last night’s all-encompassing special, which also touched upon Adele’s feelings of devastation upon her divorce from now ex-husband Simon Konecki, was a star-studded event attended by celebrities the likes of Melissa McCarthy, Gordon Ramsey, Lizzo, Drake, Gabrielle Union and Donald Glover, among others.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s momentous Oprah Winfrey interview was reportedly met with boos after a clip was shown during this year’s National Television Awards.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle might not have attended the National Television Awards, but the royal couple’s “tell-all” Oprah interview received a distinctly unimpressed response from the crowd. Prince Harry and Meghan “stepped back” as senior members of the Royal Family last year and have since settled in their Santa Barbara Mansion. The Sussexes have launched multiple ventures since moving to the US, including their Archewell Audio podcast, Prince Harry’s upcoming memoir and Meghan Markle’s exciting new Netflix project. 

But perhaps their most iconic moment this year came when they sat down with talk-show host Oprah Winfrey to discuss life in the royal spotlight. And it seems some viewers still aren’t that keen on Prince Harry and Meghan’s choice to open up about the Royal Family in such a prominent way. 

During this year’s National Television Awards ceremony held at London’s O2 arena, a clip of the Sussexes' famous interview was shown.

Journalist and broadcasting legend Sir Trevor McDonald took to the stage during the show to introduce a series of clips of the best national TV moments of 2021. These clips also included coverage of the COVID-19 pandemic as well as of Prince Philip’s funeral in April. 

However, as reported by The Sun, when the clip of Harry and Meghan’s interview was shown, the crowd in the arena were heard booing, though the publication claims this did not pick up on the live ITV broadcast. This comes after Prince Harry and Meghan made a series of revelations during the interview that left royal fans across the world shocked. 

These ranged from Meghan bravely opening up about her mental health and feeling “haunted” by an iconic photograph, to Harry’s claims that Prince Charles stopped answering his calls after the couple’s royal exit. 

The interview led to the Queen's “careful and constructive” response, though rumors of a so-called “rift” between the couple and the Royal Family have continued to circulate. Despite this, it’s recently been reported that the two have made a surprising “request” to meet the Queen in the not too distant future. While Prince Harry is said to be set to reunite with the Royal Family for a very special television tribute to his late grandfather Prince Philip, who passed away at Windsor Castle in April. 

The program will air on BBC later this month and will see many members of the Royal Family, including the Queen’s children, come together to reflect on the Duke of Edinburgh’s extraordinary life and legacy.  

Though Prince Harry and Meghan's Oprah interview might not have received as warm a response as they might have hoped at the NTAs, Harry will likely be looking forward to sharing his wonderful memories of Prince Philip with fans very soon.  

Oprah has been a vocal ally of Harry and Meghan since their high profile US move, but it looks like the TV host's loyalties are about to be tested.

From that bombshell interview in March to Prince Harry and Oprah's mental health documentary, The Me You Can't See, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex haven't exactly been shy about their fondness for the legendary American talk show host. 

The couple has placed a huge amount of trust in Oprah since their stateside move, choosing her to help them share the story of their controversial withdrawal from the Royal Family with the public for the first time. The A-list trio has also achieved professional success together, with Harry and Meghan's Oprah interview earning an Emmy nomination for Outstanding Hosted Nonfiction Series or Special in July. Sounds like nothing could go wrong, right? 

Sadly, it looks like trouble could be on the horizon for the couple's friendship with the beloved TV personality—and it's all thanks to attendance restrictions. Oprah faces the tough decision of who to bring to the glitzy awards show, which is scheduled for 19 September in Los Angeles, after the Emmy organizers reduced nominees' tickets to adhere to COVID-19 safety protocol. 

"Although invitations have just been mailed out, nominated teams of three or more will now be limited to no more than four tickets per nomination,' its message from the Academy reads. "Unfortunately, this means not all nominees will be able to attend this year's awards." 

With so many people involved behind the scenes of Oprah's interview with Harry and Meghan, it seems unlikely that she would give her tickets to the couple over her production team. 

However, if she's lucky, she might not have to choose. It's been rumored that Emmy executives might pull some strings to allocate tickets to Meghan and Harry, in the hope of bringing more media coverage and ratings to the show. 

"Harry and Meghan attending would be a huge deal for the broadcast. Whether it would draw in extra audiences is a question of waiting and seeing. However, if the show won and either one of them spoke that would certainly make huge waves and all important headlines.'

We guess we'll just have to tune in to find out. 

Meghan Markle's close friend has revealed he has encountered prejudice from certain royal aides, just a few months after the Royal Family was forced to address allegations of racism within the institution.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's close friend Omid Scobie has revealed he has been subject to prejudice from "one or two royal aides" throughout his career as a royal correspondent, adding that there's a "level of unawareness" within certain pockets of the thousand-year-old institution. Speaking on This Morning on Wednesday, the Finding Freedom co-author shared his experiences of discrimination at the hands of Buckingham Palace officials. 

"I myself have experienced some prejudice from one or two royal aides in the past, so you can kind of know what Meghan was entering," Omid told hosts Rochelle Humes and Alison Hammond. 

"And so it didn’t surprise me, but I think for it to mention a family member, that was kind of the moment that even myself, my jaw was on the floor—just like Oprah, it was the same reaction," he went on. 

His candid remarks come just a few months after Meghan and Harry revealed the shocking comments made about Archie before his birth during their sit-down interview with Oprah. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex claimed that concerns had been raised by an unnamed Royal Family member about their unborn son's potential skin color, much to the shock of both the host and the viewers. 

The situation escalated to the point that Buckingham Palace was forced to respond to the racism allegations, with Her Majesty acknowledging the issues raised but also claiming that "recollections may vary". This statement is said to have riled up Meghan and Harry, who reportedly believe that the Queen failed to take accountability for the situation.  

When he was asked by Rochelle to clarify the nature of the comments he personally heard, Omid replied, "I wouldn’t say [they were] racist, but I just experienced prejudice. I’m mixed race, there aren’t many mixed-race royal correspondents out there." 

He refused to identify the individual who made the remarks, referring to them as, "Someone very senior within the palace who found it really peculiar that I spoke as well as I do, and that was pretty much how they said it to me." 

"And I’m used to 'where are you from, where are you really from' and all that kind of stuff, but that was a very loaded comment—and I’m sure it came not from a nasty place, but it just shows perhaps a level of unawareness within certain quarters of the institution.’" 

Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle have been surrounded by rumours of distance, though there is now said to be a sweet sign the sisters-in-law could be healing their relationship.

Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle’s relationship has been under the spotlight ever since shocking rumours circulated following Prince Harry and Meghan’s wedding in May 2018. Meghan Markle's wedding dress stole the show on the day, though some reports alleged at the time that the Duchess of Sussex brought her sister-in-law to tears over the bridesmaid dresses. However, Meghan later addressed this in her and Harry’s Oprah interview, suggesting it was the other way round.

Now it's been suggested that Kate and Meghan are working on healing their relationship. Prince Harry and Meghan announced the birth of their first daughter, Lilibet ‘Lili’ Diana last month and fans were quick to praise Prince William and Kate for their “classy” response. And it seems the arrival of baby Lilibet could have changed things between the two duchesses for the better. 

“Kate has been reaching out to Meghan a lot more since [Lilibet] was born, she’s sending [notes and] gifts and trying to build up a relationship,” a source claimed to Us Weekly. 

“The firm has been instructing staffers to reach out more to Harry and Meghan to get them to soften a bit.”

Though the reports have not been confirmed, the arrival of another cousin for Kate's own children George, Charlotte and Louis could very well have inspired the duchess to reach out to her sister-in-law. Meghan is also understood to be fond of sending handwritten notes and is believed to have sent one to accompany a beautiful wreath for Prince Philip's funeral in April. The idea that Kate might now be reaching out via personal notes following Lilibet's birth could be seen as particularly heartfelt in light of this. 

This comes just months after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s “tell-all” Oprah interview aired. During the CBS special, Prince Harry and Meghan opened up on royal life and the intense scrutiny they found themselves under before they decided to "step back" as senior members of the Royal Family. It's been suggested that Kate hoped Prince Harry and Meghan could be "pulled back in" to the royal fold prior to the interview. 

It was during the 2 hour special that Meghan set the record straight on the rumours she made Kate cry, claiming to Oprah: “The reverse happened. And I don't say that to be disparaging to anyone."

Meghan continued: "A few days before the wedding, she was upset about something pertaining to flower girl dresses. And it made me cry. It really hurt my feelings, and I thought in the context of everything else that was going on in those days leading to the wedding, it didn't make sense to not be just doing whatever everyone else is doing, which was trying to be supportive knowing what was going on with my dad and whatnot."

However, the Duchess of Sussex later discussed with Oprah how Kate apologized to her and took “accountability” for the flower girl dresses incident.

“[She] owned it, and she apologized, and she brought me flowers and a note apologizing. She did what I would do if I knew that I hurt someone, to just take accountability for it," Meghan added.

The Duchess of Sussex also described her sister-in-law as a “good person”, explaining to viewers of the CBS special that “if you love me, you don't have to hate her. If you love her, you don't need to hate me."

Kate Middleton's uncle has since disputed the claims that Kate made Meghan cry and the Duchess of Cambridge has not officially addressed them.

It’s not yet known when Kate Middleton will get to meet her new niece in person, though it is lovely to think that she and Meghan Markle could have been brought closer in recent weeks following Lilibet's arrival.

In a recent interview, Prince Edward and the Countess of Wessex have addressed the royal family drama that took place following Oprah’s interview with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

In an interview with The Telegraph, Prince Edward and the Countess of Wessex joked about the explosive interview that royal family members, Prince Harry and Meghan had with Oprah Winfrey. 

In Prince Edward and the Countess of Wessex's first joint interview since 1990, the couple was asked if they had watched the tell-all Oprah interview with Prince Harry and Meghan. To this line of questioning, the couple jokingly responded, “Oprah who?” and “what interview?”

It was in this interview that shocking comments about Archie that made Oprah gasp in horror were revealed. It was also this interview that was hit by over 5,000 complaints following its release.

Although the couple joked, they also did respond sincerely and spoke warmly about Prince Harry and Meghan’s place in the royal family. Sophie spoke about her long chat with her nephew Prince Harry.

The Countess of Wessex revealed that she and Prince Harry had a length discussion at Prince Philip’s funeral. Sophie explained, “'We are still a family no matter what happens, we always will be." 

Prince Edward also spoke about his father’s funeral and revealed that the pandemic restrictions created an “extraordinary odd” ceremony.

He revealed, “It was extraordinarily odd walking into St George's Chapel and finding the nave completely empty. It's always difficult with these kinds of things because you're in the middle of it, so you've got no idea what it necessarily looks like from the outside. It became really poignant to be there because it was suddenly so very intimate.”

The Countess also spoke about the loss of her father-in-law and specifically spoke about how this loss has affected the Queen. 

Countess Sophie revealed, “'To see Her Majesty on her own; it was very poignant.” She also went on to say that she was saddened that many of the Duke of Edinburgh’s friends and extended family could not attend his funeral due to Covid-19 restrictions. Edward and Sophie attended the funeral with their daughter, Lady Louise Windsor, and their son, James, Viscount Severn. While James lives at home with the couple at their Bagshot residence, Lady Louise Windsor's school is the main residence of the teenager as a boarding pupil. 

”I really felt for friends and family, as well as people from the Duke's organizations who were devastated that they couldn't pay their respects,' she said. “But it would have been the same for every other family everywhere else.”

The royal couple also spoke about their recent move to being more prominent members of the royal family who have recently taken on more and more responsibilities. 

The Countess of Wessex revealed, “Inevitably the spotlight and the focus falls on younger members as time goes on. We’ve plodded along doing what we’re doing, hopefully doing it well. And then all of a sudden there’s a bit of a hiatus and things have changed a bit.”

Royal fans are loving the Countess of Wessex's more prominent role and many have shared their delight on social media. In a recent video on the royal family's Instagram page, the Countess spoke about normalizing the conversation around periods and menopause. 

Fans loved this video and many took to the comment section to share their fondness of the Countess. One fan said, " Such a wonderful lady. Not that my opinion matters, but my absolute favorite royal."

Kate Middleton’s calm and warm demeanour has won the hearts of royal fans across the globe and according to a royal expert she has “cemented” her role as a “resident trooper”. Since marrying Prince William in 2011, the Duchess of Cambridge has become a prominent senior royal and she has remained committed to her duties during what has been a difficult time for the Royal Family, following Prince Philip’s death.

Prior to this, Prince Harry and Meghan’s shocking “tell-all” Oprah interview aired, which led to the Queen issuing a measured response. Since the interview, speculation about tension between Prince Harry and Prince William has risen once again. This comes after Prince Harry called his brother “trapped” in the institution, whilst Meghan set the record straight on rumors she made Kate Middleton cry by telling her side of the story. 

Despite the suggestion of growing distance between them, however, Prince Harry reunited with Prince William, Kate and the wider Royal Family as they paid tribute to Prince Philip at his funeral. It was here, according to royal commentator, Camilla Tominey, that Kate Middleton’s reputation as a “trooper” was confirmed. 

Writing in The Telegraph’s Stella Magazine, Camilla discussed her belief that Kate has become one of the monarchy’s greatest assets, declaring: “[I]it was Kate’s actions following the 50-minute ceremony that truly cemented her reputation as the royals’ resident trooper.”

She continued: “Despite the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s Oprah Winfrey interview, when Kate was accused of making Meghan cry during a bridesmaid’s dress fitting and failing to support her, Kate rose decidedly above it all.

“Not only was she the first in the 30-strong congregation to engage self-exiled Harry, 36, in polite conversation following the service, but she also played the role of royal peacemaker by subtly engineering a conversation between her husband and brother-in-law.”

Kate Middleton was observed talking with Prince Harry following the poignant funeral service, before she, Prince William and Prince Harry walked together back up the hill to Windsor Castle. Many royal fans would have been eager to know what Prince William and Prince Harry really said to each other after the funeral, whilst Camilla praised Kate for putting her “best foot forward in trying to carve a path to reconciliation between the brothers”.

Kate Middleton's kindness towards Prince Harry on the day of Prince Philip’s funeral showcases her warmth and she and her brother-in-law are understood to have been close. Later this summer, he and Prince William are set to reunite once again for the unveiling of a memorial statue to Princess Diana, though it's not yet known if Kate will be joining them.

Royal commentator Camilla Tominey has said that despite their controversial Oprah Winfrey interview and following comments about the Royal Family, Kate wants to make amends with Harry and Meghan.

Writing in the Telegraph, she said: "Having grown up being close to her own siblings, Pippa, 37, and James, 34, the Duchess remained keen to bury the hatchet even after the interview aired to a global audience of millions, seemingly for the sake of two-year-old Archie’s relationship with his cousins."

While a source revealed, "Her natural instinct is to try to smooth things over."

This comes after it was revealed that Prince William is reportedly concerned that his brother Harry will damage his relationship further with the royal family.

The Mail on Sunday reported that a friend of Prince William told the publication that the Duke of Cambridge is "greatly concerned" about Harry's revelations. 

During The Me You Can't See: A Path Forward, Harry discussed the "shame" family members may feel when they fail to recognise the signs of depression. 

"As parents, as siblings, certainly from what I’ve learned, there’s an element of shame we feel because we’re like, 'How could we not have seen it?'", Prince Harry told Glenn Close, who was a guest in the episode.

"But we all know when people are suffering and people are struggling that we’re all incredibly good at covering it up."

He said, “They definitely have brought a lot of attention to my sleepy little town. Let me tell you something, once the royals move into your neighborhood, the neighborhood is never going to be the same.”

He then added that it was Oprah who really started the trend, “When Oprah moved in, that began the sort of resurgence of Montecito.” 

He went on to explain that there are some definite benefits to having royal neighbours. He said, “Now that the royals are here…the good news is property values go up, the bad news is the line is longer at Starbucks.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved into a $14 million Santa Barbara mansion last year, after announcing their withdrawal as senior royals in January 2020. The couple explained that they would be pursuing independent projects from the US whilst continuing to fulfil their responsibilities to the Queen—a decision that stunned the British people and reportedly took the Royal Family off guard. The duchess had given up a lucrative acting career when she first married Prince Harry, ditching her high-paying TV gig to become a full-time working royal. Meghan Markle's Suits character, Rachel Zane, was written out of the script after the seventh season of the hit legal show, marking the duchess's official retirement from Hollywood. 

Rob Lowe then addressed the rumors that Rob’s home was used as a location for Prince Harry and Meghan’s interview. He said, “It’s so funny. Everybody thinks the interview is shot at my house and then my friend Ted Sarandos who runs Netflix, everybody thought they shot it at his house. 

He then claimed that he thought the explosive interview was filmed at Orpah Winfrey's home. He said, "Here’s my thing and I have no idea, I think they just plain old shot it at Oprah’s. I swear to you, and they just said it was a mystery location.”

It is widely known that Oprah is a neighbor of Prince Harry and Meghan’s and the three discussed their close proximity in their explosive tell-all interview. It was this interview when the public heard the shocking comments about Archie that made Oprah gasp in horror. It was also during this interview that Oprah revealed even she was surprised that Meghan and Harry went 'all the way there.'

Oprah Winfrey has opened up on the harrowing abuse she endured as a child. 

In poignant words from her new book What Happened to You?: Conversations on Trauma, Resilience, and Healing, the iconic TV presenter and interviewer extraordinaire shared moments of her "lonely" childhood, recalling how she was beaten by her grandmother.

Touching on her heartbreaking experiences with abuse as a little girl, Oprah penned notes on her life in Mississippi with her abusive grandmother, who regularly "whupped" her.

Oprah was later "shuttled" between living with her father in Nashville and with her mother in Milwaukee, where she was made to sleep on the outside porch, facing "a terrified sense of loneliness".

Discussing the book with Dr. Oz ahead of the release this week, Oprah recounted more devastating childhood memories.

Opening up on a time when she was violently punished for dipping her hands in the family's drinking water, Oprah said, "As I was bringing the water back, I was, like, playing with the water with my fingers like that in the water and my grandmother was looking out the window."

She added, "She’s like ‘Were you playing in the water? Did you have your fingers in that water? That’s our drinking water'."

Sharing that she got a "really bad whipping for it", Oprah went on to say, "Later, when I put on my clothes to go to church, one of the welts from my back opened up and bloodied the, bloodied the dress, so, my emotion now is not because I feel such deep pain about it, I just feel pain for that little girl."

Oprah penned the book about childhood trauma with psychiatrist Dr. Bruce Perry, putting her name to the project in order to give the book "as much visibility as possible".

Announcing the news of the new book back in April, Oprah shared her hopes for it to help others come to terms with suffering childhood trauma similar to her own and to help those around those suffering to understand it.

"We hope that through these pages, we help people hold more empathy for themselves and others as we learn to shift from asking 'What’s wrong with you?' to 'What happened to you?'," she wrote on Twitter at the time.

Sharon Stone has shared an important message on growing older as a woman - and it’s something we all need to hear. 

The Oscar-nominated actor sat down with Oprah Winfrey to talk about the inspiration behind her upcoming memoir, The Beauty of Living Twice, and endow viewers with some empowering words on aging. 

Speaking with the legendary television host in a preview of an upcoming interview for Soul Saturday, Sharon explained why she chose to write her book now. 

“I think as we grow older, we have this societal pressure, where people start to try to tell us that our worth is diminished, and I think that this is a time in our life when our worth is most enhanced,” she said.

The Basic Instinct star, who is now 63, went on to criticize the discrimination faced by women in society once they reach a certain age. 

“I think when we’re 40, as women, we get to this incredibly powerful place, and it's the time, I have to say, that I believe the white male society starts to tell women, ‘You don’t have worth.’” 

Sharon argues, however, that this is the decade when women truly come into themselves. 

“It’s the first time when you’re 40, when you’re told, your worth becomes less. And I believe that’s because it’s the first time in your life where your worth becomes so much more,” she told Oprah, who nodded in agreement. 

“You become the most powerful you’ve ever been,” she added. 

Sharon will address a number of other issues in the interview, including her childhood abuse and near-death experience following a stroke. The Beauty of Living Twice, which hits shelves on March 30, explores these traumas in further detail, as well as the ups and downs of her long-spanning Hollywood career. 

In one excerpt of the memoir printed in Vanity Fair, Sharon recalled being tricked into removing her underwear for the iconic Basic Instinct film scene. In another instance, she claimed a producer attempted to convince her to have sex with a costar for the purpose of ‘on-screen chemistry.’ 

This occurrence wasn't just a one-off. Sharon revealed she has been pressured multiple times to sleep with her fellow actors during shooting. “I’ve had other producers on other films just come to my trailer and ask, ‘So, are you going to fuck him, or aren’t you? … You know it would go better if you did’,” she wrote. When she refused to compromise her integrity, she was labeled as ‘difficult.’ 

"Many people ask me what it was like in my days of being a superstar," Sharon said. "It was like this. Play ball or get off the field, girl." 

The BBC has greenlit production for a new Prince Harry and Meghan Markle documentary, following the success of their tell-all interview with Oprah Winfrey.

If you thought the Harry and Meghan hype was dying down, think again. 

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are set to hit our screens again in a new BBC Two program that will explore the fascinating relationship between the couple and the British press. The two-part series will also compare the media’s treatment of Harry and Meghan with that of Prince William and Kate Middleton, documenting the differences between the two couples' portrayal in the tabloids over the years. 

The series, which has yet to be named, will be hosted by BBC’s Media Editor Amol Rajan. It has already recorded over 50 hours of interviews with several influential people who share a profound insight into the royal couples’ stories. 

Rajan has teased viewers with a taste of what’s to come on the series, saying, “Our deep, extensive reporting on the Royals has uncovered some remarkable stories on a subject of global - and growing - fascination.” 

Although the identities of the interviewees remain a secret, the lineup is confirmed to include tech barons, business leaders and cultural leaders. 

The announcement of the series has come at a time of strong public interest in the royal family. Harry and Meghan’s interview with Oprah exposed a number of shocking revelations about life inside the palace, including allegations of racism from an unnamed member of the family. 

Meghan discussed how her overwhelming loneliness during her first two years as the Duchess of Sussex drove her to suicidal thoughts. The couple’s statements have shone a light on the alleged culture of bigotry and oppression in the royal family, which is also known as ‘the firm.’ 

While many viewers expressed sympathy for Meghan and Harry following the interview, others weren’t so supportive. Piers Morgan, who has been a longtime critic of the duchess, blasted her claims on Monday’s episode of Good Morning Britain. 

“I'm sorry, I don't believe a word she said, Meghan Markle. I wouldn't believe it if she read me a weather report. The fact that she's fired up this onslaught against our Royal Family I think is contemptible,” he said. 

His offensive comments drew widespread outrage, with Ofcom receiving over 41,000 complaints by the following day. Piers officially left Good Morning Britain after he stormed off the set on Tuesday during an argument on the subject with ITV weather presenter Alex Beresford. His replacement has yet to be confirmed. 

Hillary Clinton has announced her support for Meghan Markle following the Duchess of Sussex's tell-all interview with Oprah. The former presidential candidate has also revealed the important lesson society must learn from the incident.

Hillary, who has met Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, and other royal family members, spoke about her disappointment with the “cruel” treatment Meghan received from the British tabloids.

Hillary said, “It was heartbreaking to see the two of them sitting there having to describe how difficult it was to be accepted, to be integrated. Not just into the royal family as they described, but more painfully into the larger society whose narrative is driven by tabloids that are living in the past,” she said.

Hillary continued to state that she could relate to the "outrageous" treatment that Meghan has experienced by the press. She said, “I’ve had my time in the box with the British tabloids, as anybody who is in the public eye has had, and their cruelty in going after Meghan was just outrageous. The fact she did not get more support, that the reaction was, you know, ‘let’s just paper it over and pretend it didn’t happen or it will go away, just keep your head down.’ Well, this young woman was not going to keep her head down.”

She argued that Meghan did not need to keep her "head down" as a woman in the 21st century. “You know, this is 2021, and she wanted to live her life. She wanted to be fully engaged, and she had every right to hope for that,” she said. 

Hillary stated that she was pleased that the young royals are “standing up for themselves and their children.” She also suggested that the couple weren’t just fighting for themselves, as they also set an important precedent.

“They’re really trying to send a message about what institutions - including the one that they were apart of -  need to do to be more dynamic and forward-looking than they currently are,” she said.

Hillary concluded that this interview sends a powerful message to the world about women’s place in society. “Every institution has got to make more space and acceptance for young people coming up, particularly young women, who should not be forced into a mold that is no longer relevant, not only for them but for our society,” said Hillary.

Meghan, Duchess of Sussex is set to give a 'tell-all' interview to Oprah Winfrey to discuss everything from becoming a royal to moving to the US with husband Prince Harry.

The Duchess, 39, and her husband Prince Harry are going to have an "intimate conversation" with Oprah for a 90-minute primetime special which is due to air on Sunday, 7th March on CBS.

In a statement, CBS confirmed, 'Winfrey will speak with Meghan, The Duchess of Sussex, in a wide-ranging interview, covering everything from stepping into life as a Royal, marriage, motherhood, philanthropic work to how she is handling life under intense public pressure.'

And while the first part of the planned interview will be just Meghan and Oprah, it is confirmed that Prince Harry will join his wife on the sofa to continue the rest of the chat topics.

CBS added, 'Later, the two are joined by Prince Harry as they speak about their move to the United States and their future hopes and dreams for their expanding family.'

The move comes after Meghan and Harry announced son Archie, 19 months old was set to become a big brother as the couple is expecting their second child. The couple acknowledged Princess Diana in their pregnancy news with this sweet gesture.

The second pregnancy comes after Meghan was praised for her bravery in revealing she had suffered a miscarriage last year.

Meanwhile, Oprah is said to be a close friend of the couple. Not only does she live near the couple in California after Harry and Meghan set up home in Montecito, California neighborhood last summer.

But Oprah was a guest at their wedding in May 2018 and in December last year the talk show host shared an Instagram video of herself unpacking a "basket of deliciousness" containing Clevr Blends goodies which she said was from "my neighbour M". 

A spokesperson for Meghan later confirmed to People that the duchess had "made her first private investment" in the woman-led wellness firm.

Prince Harry is also teaming up with Oprah for a mental health docuseries for Apple TV+.
