Gwyneth Paltrow once revealed the exact weekend she "knew" her marriage to Coldplay frontman Chris Martin was "over".

Actor and founder of iconic lifestyle website Goop, Gwyneth Paltrow and her former husband Chris Martin made headlines across the world when they consciously uncoupled in 2014. They were married for almost ten years and are proud parents of two children, Apple and Moses, who were 9 and 7 at the time they announced their separation. Whilst the exact reasons behind their decision remain private, Gwyneth has since revealed the exact moment she "knew" her marriage to Chris was over.

Writing a deeply personal essay for British Vogue back in 2020, the star confirmed that she and Chris had been on holiday together in picturesque Tuscany at the time. Not only that, but it was actually during Gwyneth’s 38th birthday weekend that she came to her emotional realisation.

"It was my birthday, my 38th. My ex-husband and I were tucked away in the Tuscan countryside, on a hill in a beautiful cottage with a view of the forest," she began. "Fall was coming; the leaves were just loosening their grip on bright green. Inside, the cottage was perfectly appointed in the way you dream of for a birthday trip: cosy living room with a fireplace, kitchen table overflowing with spoils from the farm nearby – peaches, tomatoes on the vine, basil, eggs."

This might sound like most people’s idea of an idyllic holiday, but Gwyneth went on to remark how amongst all this beauty she "knew" her marriage had come to an end, though she can’t recall "exactly" what happened to spark this understanding.

She wrote, "I don’t recall when it happened, exactly. I don’t remember which day of the weekend it was or the time of day. But I knew - despite long walks and longer lie-ins, big glasses of Barolo and hands held - my marriage was over."

Gwyneth reflected that at this time it "felt almost involuntary" and described it as being "like the ring of a bell that has sounded and cannot be undone". She explained how she’d "tried to quell that knowing" but she knew it "in [her] bones" to be true. The actor turned 38 in 2010 and she disclosed that it had been "years" until she and Chris had "said the words aloud".

"We were close, though we had never fully settled into being a couple. We just didn’t quite fit together. There was always a bit of unease and unrest. But man, did we love our children," Gwyneth wrote, adding that they’d "tried everything" between the day she knew and the day they "relented to the truth" that their marriage had reached an end.

The phrase "conscious uncoupling" which featured in their 2014 statement announcing their separation remains strongly associated with Gwyneth and Coldplay frontman Chris to this day, though the Goop founder explained that the idea had been presented to them by their therapist.

Together the former couple had aimed to try and navigate their break up and not "lose everything" they’d built as a family. Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin have continued to successfully co-parent Apple and Moses and the actor went on to marry writer and producer Brad Falchuk in 2018 and has taken Goop to new heights. Meanwhile, the musician has found love with actor Dakota Johnson and entertained an estimated 100,000+ people at this year’s Glastonbury with Coldplay’s headline performance.

"I know my ex-husband was meant to be the father of my children, and I know my current husband is meant to be the person I grow very old with," Gwyneth reflected. "Conscious uncoupling lets us recognise those two different loves can coexist and nourish each other."

The reason Gwyneth Paltrow has never been able to watch Oprah's infamous interview with Harry and Meghan is honestly extremely relatable and rather hilarious. 

We all remember that fateful day in 2021 where Oprah's legendary interview with Harry and Meghan dropped for the world to see. We remember some of the most iconic lines from it ("Were you silent or were you silenced?" Still, chills), and most notably, we remember how it completely rocked the pop culture landscape - and still does, even two years after it aired. Well, everyone remembers, perhaps, except Gwyneth Paltrow. 

In a new, all-encompassing interview with Bustle, Gwyneth revealed to interviewer Emma Rosenblum that she had never seen the interview, and doesn't really have plans to watch it. Not for any sort of political reason, she said - mostly because she doesn't know where to find it. 

Emma, who interviewed Gwyneth for Bustle, jokingly said to her, "I feel like I’m Oprah and I’m interviewing Meghan Markle in the glorious California sun. There should be a camera here, and I’m like, 'Tell me about Harry.'"

Gwyneth then revealed her truth: "Do you know I’m the only person in America that did not see that interview?"

After inquiring why she never chose to watch, Gwyneth gave a pretty relatable answer. "I didn’t watch it at the time, and now I can’t... I don’t know where to find it. I’m so out of it culturally. It’s really embarrassing," she said.

She then goes on to explain just how culturally "out of it" she is, and usually has "no idea" what her friends are talking about in regard to pop culture.

So, if Gwyneth isn't keeping up with pop culture in her spare time, what does she look at on social media? According to her, lots of "cool functional psychologists and psychiatrists."

"I’m on social media, but I’m really only on Instagram. The things that I follow, that come up for me, are lots of food and, you know, cool functional psychologists and psychiatrists," she said. 

She also went on to explain why she often "mutes" certain accounts on Instagram. "I end up muting a lot of things. I don’t know, I find it hard. I wish I could not be on it, but at the same time, you do want to have a sense of what’s going on," she explained. "Then, of course, I need it for work, and they always make me do these stupid things on it all the time."

Gwyneth Paltrow is giving fans the chance to rent her incredible LA guesthouse on AirBnb. 

The actress and Goop founder has teamed up with AirBnb to list her $4.9 million 'eco mansion' on the holiday rentals website. The gorgeous home is situated in California's Montecito, with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's home situated in the same neighbourhood, along with Oprah Winfrey and Ellen DeGeneres's homes. 

In a video shared on Gwyneth's Instagram, she explained that she's set to list her impressive property on AirBnb on August 15th in a bid to 'make the world a little less lonely'.

Sharing a glimpse inside the spacious home with clean wooden accents and fresh white interiors, Gwyneth told followers, "I’m inviting you to come stay at my Montecito guesthouse for a night. While we may begin as strangers, I hope we’ll find connections and commonalities over a delicious meal.

She added, "Lay by the pool, go on one of my favorite hikes and of course you’ll have a bathroom stocked with my favorite @goop products for a truly luxuriating stay.

Gwyneth Paltrow is, apparently, one. And so is Yolanda Hadid, the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member who just so happened to have given birth to two of the biggest supermodels working today, Gigi and Bella Hadid.

Considering the resumes of these women – GOOP founder and Oscar winning actress (although she nearly didn’t get that Oscar), and former-supermodel-turned-supermodel-mom – you might think being categorized alongside them would be a good thing.

Alas, TikTok has other ideas.

For Gwyneth and Yolanda have been picked out as the quintessential “almond mom.”

And, while almonds might taste great in a pastry or make great dairy milk substitutes, it’s not a description one wants as a parent, it would seem.

All this chatter around “almond moms” has been around for some time now, but it’s hit a new peak following Gwyneth Paltrow’s recent podcast appearance.

While speaking with Dr Will Cole on The Art of Being Well podcast, the Shakespeare in Love actress revealed a few things – including she’s a follower of intermittent fasting, her preference for bone broth for lunch and eating an early dinner that follows paleo (so plenty of vegetables).

Gwyneth also explained that she pairs this strict dieting with intense exercise.

After clips of the podcast episode made it to TikTok, all the comments seemed to repeatedly say the same thing.

Comments included, "The mother of all almond moms," "Almond mom final boss” and “Almond mom realness.”

So what does it all mean?

What’s the definition of an “almond mom”?

A so-called "almond mom" is a mom who pushes toxic dieting – like suggesting their child eat one almond when they feel hungry.

While Gwyneth wasn’t giving advice to her own children to follow, the implication was that her eating and exercise habits could have a damaging effect on malleable minds.

(Gwyneth has, in fairness, responded to the backlash. She explained on her social media the diet was devised with her doctor to help with her symptoms of long Covid. "It’s been working really well. This is based on my medical results and extensive testing over time... It’s not meant to be advice for anybody else.")

When searching the hashtag #almondmom on TikTok (which now has over 269M views!), other users shared their own experiences with almond parents.

From the many videos, some repeat offenders include parents who refused to keep candy inside the house or who only ever demanded they eat salads with dressing on the side.

When did “almond moms” become a thing?

It’s largely thought that the term was inspired by Gigi and Bella’s mom, Yolanda Hadid's actions in a 2012 episode of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.

When Gigi calls her mom in the episode, she was just starting out in the industry and not the supermodel she is today. In the episode, a young Gigi is seen telling her mother she feels weak.

Yolanda’s response is to just eat "a couple almonds and chew them really well."

While it caused an outcry at the time, Yolanda has since clarified her advice, telling People in 2022 that the clip was taken out of context and that she made the comment when she was "half asleep" with "no rhyme or reason to it."

Today’s must-follow style inspiration comes courtesy of actress Gwyneth Paltrow, who just posted a series of photos on her Instagram account proving that wide legg pants are this season’s exciting trend to watch out for.

Gwyneth, who just posed pantless for new Goop campaign, shared a bunch of outfit-of-the-day shots to her social media account and five out of seven images feature the actress in a pair of wide leg pants.

From a super-wide black pair to another one of the same color that she wears with a tucked in sweater, a khaki version with a brown belt and a classic white pair of jeans, Gwyneth looks marvelous in all of her ensembles. 

Gwyneth's followers took to the comments section to praise the 50-year-old businesswoman's style. 

"Never, not once, literally ever could I put on clothes and look this good all by myself. Sigh, Queen @gwynethpaltrow ♥️," wrote fellow actress Jennifer Garner.

"Hawt. Cute. Charming. Repeat. ♥️♥️," another follower remarked.

Of course, followers fawn over any type of advice touted by the star - and for good reason: not only is Gwyneth an Academy Award winning actress but an incredibly successful business owner who has revolutionized the lifestyle industry through her Goop brand.

Speaking of tips: just a few months ago, Gwyneth revealed she has the secret to getting along with your exes - and, to this day, we can't stop thinking about it.

"I really believe in conscious uncoupling, when you spend meaningful time with someone, it's nice to have it morph into friendship," she said in an Instagram Q&A session. "I don't want to have bad blood with anyone, ever (if I can help it.)"

Although she didn’t directly name him, Gwyneth’s advice seems to have derived from her relationship with ex-husband Chris Martin.

"Looks like Goop works!" someone commented under the Instagram post, calling to the many lifestyle products Goop sells on their site.

Going through a breakup can cloud anyone’s judgement, and Hollywood stars are no different.

In 1999, Gwyneth Paltrow took home the Best Actress Academy Award for her heart-breaking turn as Viola de Lesseps in Shakespeare in Love.

Everything about the night was memorable – from Gwyneth’s tear-filled speech to her bubblegum pink taffeta gown designed by Ralph Lauren.

Gwyneth, the GOOP entrepreneur and lifestyle queen, recently opened up to Variety about how she initially turned down the chance to star in Shakespeare in Love.

She explained that, when the role was presented to her, she was “in the middle of a terrible breakup” from Brad.

Devastated by the split, Gwyneth recalls refusing to even read the script when it was offered to her. She recalls thinking, “I can’t read anything right now. I’m having a really hard time.”

This time, with time healing some wounds, she read the script. “I just couldn’t put it down,” she recalls.

Starring alongside Joseph Fiennes, who played William Shakespeare, Gwyneth triumphed over a tough category to take home the Best Actress Oscar.

She was up against Meryl Streep for One True Thing, Cate Blanchett for Elizabeth, Emily Watson for Hilary and Jackie and Fernanda Montenegro for Central Station.

Despite winning the much-lauded Oscar, Gwyneth’s attitude towards making movies has cooled somewhat in recent years.

Apart from starring in comic book movies for the Marvel universe and a small part in Netflix’s The Politician, Gwyneth has mostly focused on her GOOP brand in recent years.

When asked if she missed acting, she revealed, “I don’t daydream about the movie business at all. I really don’t miss it at all.”

She did go on to add, “I think I’m so lucky that I got to do it, and I’m sure I still will at some point… but I really love what I do.”

Gwyneth Paltrow doesn’t mind a bit of competition. In fact, she welcomes it – especially from other business-minded women.

The Oscar-winning actress is well-known for her lifestyle brand, Goop.

Launched in September 2008, Goop started out as a weekly e-mail newsletter providing new-age advice and has now become a major e-commerce brand, collaborating with fashion brands, launching pop-up shops, holding wellness summits, launching a print magazine, a podcast, and a series for Netflix.

By 2018, the company had been valued at $250 million.

So, Gwyneth really carved a place for herself in the market – but that doesn’t mean there isn’t room for others.

Kourtney Kardashian launched her own lifestyle brand in 2019, called Poosh. On Instagram, a fan sent in a question wondering, “Are you upset that Poosh copied you?”

Gwyneth’s powerful response was a positive affirmation for all women.

She wrote, “This idea that women need to be in competition is legacy patriarchy bullsh*t, there is rom for EVERY woman to fulfill her dreams.”[sic]

The actor went on to add, “I used to fall prey to this kind of thinking years ago, so I understand where it comes from. Now I get so happy when I see new wellness businesses.”

If that wasn’t enough, Gwyneth gave a shout-out to Kourtney’s new marriage to Travis Barker, writing “#KRAVISFOREVER.”

Poosh is described as a lifestyle brand that acts as a way for Kourtney Kardashian to share her way of life with fans. This includes Kourtney’s top diet picks, recipes, skin care favorites and much more.

Poosh has evolved over time, though, and now explores many topics to do with wellness – entering similar subject areas well covered by Gwyneth’s Goop.

These include the likes of sexual wellness tips, explainers on different vibrators, and alternative approaches to healing or wellness.

The similar sounding names could be another reason the fan posed the question – Goop and Poosh have similar sounds, but this, again, could be a coincidence.

Poosh is seemingly named after Kourtney’s daughter, Penelope.

Back in 2019, Kourtney posted a photo of herself in the bath with her daughter Penelope standing close by, sweetly playing with her mother's hair. The photo's caption read, "Name: Penelope, Nickname: Poosh."

As for Gwyneth and Goop?

According to a 2018 New York Times Magazine profile, Gwyneth came up with the name Goop for her lifestyle brand after she was told, "all the successful internet companies had double O's."

And, in a 2009 USA Today interview, she further explained, "I wanted it to be a word that means nothing and could mean anything."

Brad Pitt is returning to the big screen, but this time as a producer for the upcoming exposé film on the disgraced filmmaker Harvey Weinstein.

The film is based on the book She Said: Breaking the Sexual Harassment Story That Helped Ignite a Movement written by New York Times investigative journalists Jodi Kantor and Megan Twohey. Carey Mulligan and Zoe Kazan will star as the reporters who helped to expose Harvey's history of abuse and sexual misconduct against women. 

The actor's production company Plan B and Annapurna Pictures have obtained rights to the story and will aim to tell the "story behind the women who led the investigation itself and will not be about or centered around ‘the man’ or the men behind the abuse. It is about how this team of reporters tracked, chased, and broke this story,” a spokesperson for Annapurna Pictures told Mercury News.

Harvey has denied all allegations of sexual misconduct, but Brad has personal history with the filmmaker's unwanted advances on women.

Back in 1996, Brad was dating a young Gwenyth Paltrow who met with Harvey to discuss the film Emma. The actress was 22-years-old at the time and after the meeting, she told Brad that the filmmaker had sexually harassed her. This caused the actor to confront Harvey about the accused actions. According to a source for PEOPLE, "Brad threatened Harvey. He got right in his face, poked him in the chest and said, ‘You will not ever do this to Gwyneth ever again.'”

Brad's ex-wife, Angelina Jolie also allegedly accused Harvey of sexual misconduct, according to a 2017 New York Times article. Are these personal ties part of Brad's motivation for getting involved in the project? We will only know when we see the film. 

Did Brad Pitt ever work with Harvey Weinstein?

Although they have a rough history, Pitt and Weinstein have worked together. Weinstein was the executive producer of the 2009 Quentin Tarantino film Inglorious Basterds and 2012's Killing Them Softly. Pitt had acting roles in both films. 

When does the movie come out?

We can hardly wait to see how Brad tackles this movie and after seeing Carey's stirring performance in Promising Young Woman, we can only hope it'll be just as good. As of now though, She Said is in its early production stages and no release date has been announced yet. We can probably expect more updates to come once the movie begins filming.

Who are Megan Twohey and Jodi Kantor?

 Back in 2107, Megan and Jodie made headlines when they wrote an investigative article for the New York Times that uncovered and exposed Harvey for his abuse towards women in the entertainment industry. Their exposé landed them both a Pulitzer Prize for their in-depth reporting and later on, they released a bestselling book titled She Said: Breaking the Sexual Harassment Story That Helped Ignite a Movement, which detailed their journey of uncovering the story that helped start the #MeToo movement.

At this awards ceremony, Gwyneth won the Best Actress Oscar for her role in ‘Shakespeare in Love.’ In the Instagram image, instead of holding her golden award, she was holding her new vibrator.

Cleo Wade an artist and activist, took to Instagram to congratulate the star for making the most out of lockdown. Cleo wrote, “Y’all Gwyneth Paltrow spent the pandemic making her own vibrator. What an Icon.” Gwyneth reposted this comment on her own story and commented, “Had to pass the time, you know?”

Fans loved this product from Gwyneth and many praised the star for this new invention. One fan wrote, “Who needs an Oscar when you’re going to have the best vibrator!” Another commented, “Finally! Add to cart.”

A lot of Gwyneth's A-list pals also took to social media to support the new goop launch. Drew Barrymore commented, “Oh my god I love you,” on Gwyneth's Instagram post. The goop Instagram account replied to this comment with three pink heart emojis. Elizabeth Saltzman also commented, “Good vibrations!!! Or should I say GOOP VIBRATIONS.”

The vibrator is called the ‘double-sided wand vibrator’ and costs $95. The product has already sold out with a 24 hours of its launch on Valentine’s Day. The goop description of the vibrator states, “One end of the Double-Sided Wand Vibrator is the ultimate wonder-ball wand for external massage. The other end is slim for targeted stimulation.”

The brand stated, " We made the vibrator of our dreams" and explained that their newest vibrator was a product of a lot of research and development. Goop states, “We’ve tested a lot of vibrators over the years - a job we take seriously, knowing that great vibrators can lead to great orgasms, as well as better sleep, improved mood, and decreased stress. Basically, it’s a delight.”

This vibrator is not the first sex-themed product from goop. The company already makes vibrators and famously launched candle collections that feature unusual names such as, ‘This smells like my vagina’ and ‘This smells like my orgasm.’ The candles grew in fame recently when Gwyneth Paltrow’s vagina candle exploded in a fan’s home.
