If orange isn't a colour you've worn much before, it's much easier than you think. The trick is to allow the dress to take centre stage, and stick to warm neutrals, gold or tan colours when accessorising.

M&S customers seem to agree that the sizing of the dress comes up a little on the smaller side, advising: "I am between 2 dress sizes and definitely need the larger of the two, so size up if you are unsure," and "Lovely colour, style and shape, but comes up small. I'm normally a 10 and the 12 is too tight for me."

The model wearing it on the M&S site is 5ft9", so for anyone shorter than that, it will definitely come up a bit longer. Cat Deeley is tall too, so try it before you rule out this dress as too short!

I've been firmly on the barrel leg jeans bandwagon for a while now. M&S' flattering but affordable styles are my favourite, and I confess I've lost track of how many pairs I own now.

Listen, leopard print lovers, you won't hear a bad word said about spots from me. Anyone who knows me will tell you it's rare I'm not wearing at least a little bit of leopard.

Don't get me wrong, I love denim. In fact, I've lost count of how many pairs of barrel leg jeans I own.

The problem is, however closely I follow the denim trends 2026 it's hard to be completely sure whether skinny jeans are back, whether flares suit me or if stovepipe jeans are THE trending style of the moment. Things move quickly in the denim world!

And besides that, I feel like I've been wearing jeans every day for months now. Years! Does anyone remember a time when it wasn't raining? I very much need something to pull me out of a jeans and jumper style rut, and Cat Deeley did just that when she hosted Thursday's episode of This Morning.

The trending spring tone easily makes this one of my favourite Cat Deeley outfits to date, with its eye-catching hue bringing some much-needed colour to our screens. More than that, the look was perfectly tailored, with the light flare of her Priya twill high-rise flared trousers from Reiss and the fitted silhouette of her Reiss Priya twill double-breasted blazer creating a sleek and flattering silhouette.

Finishing off her look with a pair of tan boots and Zara’s striped shirt with wide cuffs, Cat brought warm, contrasting pops of tan and maroon to complement, rather than dull down, the bright, chartreuse shade, and this is a colour combination I’ve quickly fallen for.

In July, This Morning presenter Cat Deeley and Northern Irish star Patrick shocked fans when they announced their separation after just under 13 years of marriage.

In a statement they said, "We have taken the decision to end our marriage and are now separated. There is no other party involved."

Now, the anticipation of a very different festive season looms for Cat - something that is no doubt stirring up a range of emotions for her and their two sons, Milo, 9, and James, 7.

One source revealed all about how the star is 'determined to make it magical for their boys' and what a Christmas of new and old traditions will look like for the family.

A different Christmas

In past years the family have divided their Christmases between Cat’s home city of Birmingham and Patrick’s native Northern Ireland , with Patrick previously saying, "Christmas is always where the tree is. Sometimes we have it with Cat’s mum and dad and sometimes we have it in Dundrum."

While neither Cat, 49, nor the Late Late Show presenter, 54 , have confirmed how they’ll be spending the 25th this year, it is believed that they won’t be together - giving them a new dynamic to navigate.

The boys remain their priority

"Not being together as a family on a day that revolves so much around family will be a challenge and no doubt take some getting used to," says our source. "It’ll be a time of quiet reflection for them both."

"Christmas has a way of making everyone take stock and for Cat and Patrick, it’ll be impossible not to look back over the past year and wonder if they’ve done the right thing."

While they "still care deeply for one another", the source adds that "the love they share as parents" will take precedence over their feelings.

The boys remain their priority and they will do everything they can to give them a Christmas to remember, albeit a different one.

New and old traditions

To manage that, Cat is "doing her best to keep things positive despite her heartache", says our source.

They reveal, "She will throw herself into decorating early, baking with the boys, and is determined to create new memories while still keeping old traditions alive."

Perhaps tellingly, last year when asked about her festive traditions and what Christmas day looks like in her household, Cat failed to mention Patrick.

She said, "My usual Christmas Day involves my mum’s turkey and stuffing but we usually get up early because my boys are six and eight. So, they’re true believers in the magic of Christmas and obviously very, very excited."

Cat continued, "They’ll get up and open any Christmas presents in a ginormously enthusiastic Christmas whirlwind. Then we’ll usually have scrambled eggs, some smoked salmon and coffee for the grown-ups before building [any toys]. We do all of that and then I usually help Mum with the Christmas dinner."

Hinting at trouble?

She also appeared to make a thinly veiled dig at Patrick - just months before they announced their separation - when discussing Christmas presents on This Morning.

"I got a slow cooker for Christmas. I opened it up and said 'Yay'..." she told co-star Dermot O’Leary.

Cat said that she had other ideas in mind of what Patrick could have bought her, adding, "A piece of jewellery or something. You can’t really go wrong with jewellery. I love it [the slow cooker] now but it wasn’t really what I wanted at the time."

But Cat is keen to put the past behind her, particularly as we approach the festive season.

"It’s been a huge year of change, but Cat’s determined to make this Christmas about love, laughter and togetherness, even if it looks a little different this time around," our source says.

As for the future, they add, "She’s looking forward to 2026 and everything that it has in store for her, both professionally and personally.

Cat is embracing the idea of a fresh start and can’t wait to wave goodbye to what has been a challenging year."

For Thursday's episode of This Morning, Cat and her stylist Rachael Hughes teamed a beautiful toffee-coloured jumper by one of my favourite British clothing brands, Reiss, with a Massimo Dutti mock croc leather mini skirt, adding sheer black tights and ankle strap heels.

We're used to seeing Cat Deeley on our screens looking very glamorous whilst hosting This Morning. But what does the television presenter wear when she's not on duty?

In classic black, these have to be about the most versatile jeans you can own. They are a bit of an investment, but pair them with a T-shirt and your most comfortable trainers by day, then switch to heels and add a tailored blazer and gold jewellery, and you're ready for an evening out.

After nearly 13 years of marriage and two children together, This Morning's Cat Deeley and RTE's The Late Late Show host Patrick Kielty have confirmed the sad news that they have separated.

"We have taken the decision to end our marriage and are now separated," the former couple declared in a statement to the PA news agency, adding that "There is no other party involved."

Cat and Patrick went on to affirm their commitment to co-parenting their sons Milo (born 2016) and James (born 2018), asking for privacy for their family at this challenging time.

"We will continue to be united as loving parents to our children and would therefore kindly ask for our family privacy to be respected. There will be no further comment," they declared.

Cat and Patrick tied the knot in Rome back in 2012 and lived in America for over a decade before moving back across the pond. Since her return Cat Deeley has been hosting This Morning alongside Ben Shephard, raising the So You Think You Can Dance? host's profile in the UK again.

She and Patrick had been friends for a while before romance blossomed and the RTE star previously told the Daily Mail that he’d flown to Beverly Hills from Belfast for her birthday lunch, completely surprising her.

"Unless someone was stupid enough to get on a plane, nothing would have happened,” he explained. “Cat was in LA and I was in Northern Ireland, so I texted her to wish her a happy birthday. When she said she was having a birthday lunch at the Beverly Hills Hotel, I said I'd be there. She told me to go to sleep as I was drunk.”

However, the presenter was true to his word and he got up at 5am, got the 7:15am flight to Heathrow and then from there made his way to LA for 1:15pm. From there their love story went from strength to strength, with the couple marrying and welcoming their two sons.

In 2023, Cat reflected that Patrick had been far more involved in planning their Italian wedding than she was. At the time she shared that as long as everyone had a "good time", the finer details weren't something that overly concerned her.

She said, as per Dublin Live, "I barely even did my own wedding. Patrick went and tried the food and did all that. I never even saw the place where I got married before I got married – that's how uninvolved I was."

"I don't care, as long as everybody was there and had a good time - it doesn't bother me," Cat added, referencing why she wasn't bothered about a vow renewal.

It's not known when exactly they made the decision to separate ahead of their 13th wedding anniversary in September. Cat only rarely shares pictures of her family on social media, preferring a high level of privacy instead.

Cat is currently on her summer break from the hit morning show, expected to resume hosting duties alongside Ben Shephard in September. It's likely she will be making the most of a lot of quality time with her sons as she navigates her and Patrick's separation out of the public eye.

How to style

Broderie Anglaise is a trend we've spotted in the recent runway collections of designer labels like Valentino and Vivienne Westwood, and although Cat's skirt is still a pricey piece, this is a fabric that comes back around a lot - and with good reason.

I've got several Ganni pieces in my summer capsule wardrobe, and the quality really does justify the price. Cat's skirt is 100% organic cotton and features a logo patch on the back. It's machine washable, and in a super neutral shade, it's easy to wear with everything else you already have.

Midi skirts are pretty much universally flattering, and the drop waist design means there's not too much volume around your middle. It's a very modern silhouette, and I'm going to wear mine with ballet flats and a crisp white shirt for an easy day-to-evening ensemble.

Fashion trends rise and surge in popularity so much that even those items you might have thought you’d never see again will likely come back. This has already come true with the jelly shoes trend and now Cat Deeley’s Wimbledon outfit has got me feeling nostalgic again.

Some denim trends are easier to wear than others and there are some that we need to be feeling especially confident to style them. One of these is double denim and we’re surely not the only ones that can find this a tricky trend to get right without it being too much - or our outfit feeling too structured or rigid. When we think of double denim we immediately imagine jeans and a shirt but Cat Deeley has shown that this doesn’t have to be the case at all.

The This Morning star shared her week of outfits on Instagram on 25th March and her Tuesday look featured an affordable Zara shirt and skirt combination. Although these aren’t made from traditional cotton denim, they do look very like it thanks to the vintage-wash finish and blue tones.

This is the beauty of a more oversized lyocell denim or denim-esque shirt as they can be styled as a top in their own right because they’re not too structured, but also work layered over lightweight pieces too. Cat, who was styled by the brilliant Rachael Hughes, wore her Zara shirt with a Zara midi length skirt. This had a denim look and was similar in tone to a denim skirt we've seen her wear before.

The skirt was high-waisted and comes with a delicate waist belt in a matching fabric, though it’s possible that the This Morning presenter had removed this as it wasn’t easy to spot in her snap. The A-line shape and longer length gives this an elegant edge which sets it apart from the denim skirts we often see.

These tend to have more structure and are more streamlined in shape. When you want to put together a double denim look these fitted styles can often be off-putting. In contrast, Cat Deeley’s whole outfit was flowy and comfortable to wear. It also took this tricky trend and made it sophisticated and feminine with the silhouettes.

On the ITV show she added tan heeled boots and we might go for something like this if we were wearing a double denim ensemble as a date night outfit. For daily wear or a more low-key occasion, we’d reach for trainers or flat loafers instead.

When it comes to wearing multiple denim pieces at once the important thing to remember is go for tones you feel comfortable with. Mixing darker and lighter washes together is a great way to add depth and dimension to a double denim look, but if you prefer sticking to one hue or the other then go for that. There are also pros to colour-matching your denim tops and bottoms and with a skirt and shirt combination they can look like a midi dress.

Denim trends come and go but there are some key designs we’ll always have in our spring capsule wardrobe and skinny jeans are one of them. Looser, more relaxed jeans are having a resurgence right now but skinny jeans have earned their place as a classic and Cat Deeley’s way of styling them shows why they’ll never really go out of style. The This Morning host recently shared a video of herself in a barn wearing a pair of skinny jeans tucked into black boots with a striking blue zebra print blazer.

The presenter’s shoes had a zip up the front as a contemporary twist on classic plain black boots, and a chunky sole. She accessorised with a simple black crossbody bag that tied in with her boots and jumper and added a subtle splash of colour with her blazer. This was quite an eye-catching piece thanks to its zebra stripe pattern running horizontally all over.

The blend of black, slate blue and grey was a contrast against the rest of her outfit but was muted enough not to be overpowering. Tailored blazers or coats work well with the shape of skinny jeans, especially long-line ones and Cat’s fell to just below her waist. Although Cat Deeley definitely isn't against cosmetic procedures if it'll make you feel more confident, her measured approach to beauty is refreshing.

Cat Deeley is no stranger to looking good, and hasn't shied away from sharing her This Morning makeup tips that give the star a gorgeous glow. Her fashion sense is also on point, and her crimson velvet trouser suit , knitwear picks and everything in between, usually goes straight on our wish lists. The 48-year-old presenter is now at an age where she feels comfortable with knowing what her skin needs to look good, and what she likes to wear to feel great - and it's all gloriously straightforward.

"At 48, I now know what suits me and what doesn’t. I know what suits my lifestyle and how much time I have for beauty and fashion – it’s incredibly boring and there’s nothing groundbreaking, but I’m good with that," Cat told The Telegraph. Her approach to her appearance really is that simple - she's an advocate for wearing your hair however you like it, doing the same herself, "if it works for you and makes the best of what you’ve got, that’s all that matters," she says of running with the hairstyle you love the most.

Cat adds, "I don’t have fancy nails but they always look clean and nice, so I can go anywhere. They never look groundbreaking but they are presentable." Her ethos centres around simplicity, but definitely isn't against cosmetic procedures, she simply believes moderate tweaks here and there can boost confidence while keeping things as natural as possible.

"I have a little Botox, and I wouldn’t be adverse to it," she explains, adding, "I think whatever makes you happy. My advice would be to always go to someone reputable and do it in tiny little increments. Injectables can get to the stage where everyone starts to look the same." The star cites Barbara Streisand, Monica Bellucci and Grace Jones as women she admires for being comfortable in their own skin.

Cat also enjoys occasional infrared sauna and a cryotherapy treatments, and has mesotherapy once in a while, involving a cocktail of vitamins and minerals injected into superficial skin layers to give hydration and glow. The majority of the presenter's skincare is carried by herself, taking yet another simple approach.

"I’m very good with my skin on a daily basis," she asserts, continuing, "I believe that if you do a little and often and look after your skin, then you’ll have better skin and won’t have to wear as much make-up. I don’t like wearing much make-up in everyday life."

Surprisingly, Cat's approach to self-care developed while she lived in L.A for 15 years. There, she learned to listen to her body and she'll take vitamin shots during times of the year she knows she'll be feeling the pressure and will be prone to fatigue (hello, run up to Christmas).

She says of life in L.A, "I found out there that the ethos was to try to be as healthy as possible so you don’t have to wear loads of make-up. It really is the holy grail to have such good skin that even when you’re not wearing make-up it looks good."

The presenter's refreshing approach to fashion is as strikingly uncomplicated as the one she takes to beauty. She likes to wear what is comfortable and looks great, and will reuse and recycle clothes for sustainability. "I don’t think it’s about everything being expensive, but it’s about working out what suits you, suits your style and works with your wardrobe. I will wear a Celine leather coat but wear it with Boden jeans, and I’m fine with that. I will wear a H&M jumper on the show [This Morning] and I will take a lot of my own stuff in," she concludes.
