Watch the sweet lullaby Mandy Moore and her husband wrote to lull their son to sleep

Imagine being serenaded by Mandy Moore every night. Well, her newborn son Gus gets that and more as Mandy and her husband wrote a special lullaby to sing to him at night.

The actress revealed her parenting trick to get her son to sleep on social media. The Instagram post features a video of her husband, Taylor Goldsmith, singing a lullaby to their son.

"@taylordawesgoldsmith and I have been singing this song to our little guy since he was a [peanut] in my [stomach]," she captioned the post. "Side note- you have the best dad, Gus."

Find the tune familiar? That's because the song is set to the Eagles' classic song Desperado. The lyrics sang a sweet serenade showing off the parent's love for their child.

"August Goldsmith, I think it’s time you tried sleeping/ If there’s something you’re needing, we’ll be in the next room/ And if you’re dreaming, oh dream it, dream of Mommy and Daddy/ ‘cause it’s way more than likely we’ll be dreaming of you,” sang Taylor in the video.

Mandy is not shy when it comes to showing off her beloved son. In another post, you can see her husband holding Gus, describing them as "twin."

The couple welcomed Gus, their first child, back in February and couldn't contain their excitement for welcoming him into the world.

"Gus is here. Our sweet boy, August Harrison Goldsmith," she captioned the photo. "He was punctual and arrived right on his due date, much to the delight of his parents. We were prepared to fall in love in all sorts of brand new ways, but it goes beyond anything we could have ever imagined. M + T."

Mandy's husband Taylor (also the lead singer of the band Dawes) celebrated Mandy's birthday and praised her skills as a mother in his own post.

"It’s this Supermom’s birthday today," he wrote. "The nucleus of the family. The one who knows exactly what she wants our future to look like and then makes it a reality. The one who is mothering a 7 week old, is back working again, and somehow still makes each of her animals feel individually loved and looked after. Love becomes a bigger word every day I’m in your orbit. I love you more than I know how to say. Happy Birthday @mandymooremm."
