Elizabeth Hurley and her son Damian are mourning the loss of their beloved family dog, Raja, after he passed away last week.
The 53-year-old actress and her son, 17, shared heartwarming tributes to the pet pooch on Saturday, with Damian posted a sweet image of him cuddling the black Labrador as they lay in the grass together.
He captioned the snap, ‘Rest easy little one. Heaven gained the sweetest, most loyal and kind dog today, will think of and love you forever and always x’ See the image HERE
Mum Elizabeth shared a similar image and penned an emotional message to her “best friend”, she wrote, “Goodbye to my beloved Raja. May you chase bunnies for all eternity in doggy heaven. You were the best and most loyal friend for eleven beautiful years.” See the image HERE
Fans rushed to send their condolences to the family, with Elizabeth’s ex, Australian cricketer Shane Warne, among the army of well-wishers.
Commenting on Elizabeth’s photo, he said, ‘Sending love to all! Very sad.’
And on Damian’s touching tribute, he added, ‘Very very sad day D man – hope everyone is holding up ok ! ❤️’
Another fan said, ‘So sorry man, doggy heaven will be blessed. Keep strong 💪’
A second added, ‘Oh no. I am so sorry for your loss…they are our angels, watching over us. We carry them in our hearts forever…🙏🏻🐾💔’
And a third said, ‘So sorry to hear this, I have a big black lab, they are your lifelong friends x’
Elizabeth and Damian have two other dogs, a white Labrador named Hector and a prize-winning spaniel called Mia.
The mum-of-one was left “devastated” after Hector nearly died last year after being run over by a delivery driver in September.
The two-year-old Lab suffered a collapsed lung and a broken leg in the accident on a private road on her Herefordshire estate, Donnington Hall.
Sending lots of love to Elizabeth and Damian.
