Why you can trust Woman & Home
If condensation causes you consternation, I might have just the home gadget for you. It’s also handy if you spend far too long in the shower wielding a squeegee to keep your glass screens spotless (guilty), or if you’ve considered running a dehumidifier overnight just to keep your windows clear.
Once condensation starts collecting and your windows begin to mist up, it can quickly become a slippery slope into black mould, rotting window frames, or limescale building up on the shower screen. That’s where Beldray’s Cordless Window Vacuum comes in. It’s far cheaper than most of the best dehumidifiers, easier to use than many steam cleaners, and the results are instant. It's surely the only way to clean your windows.
So, if you’ve ever pondered over how to prevent condensation on windows or wondered “are window vacuums worth it?” or even found yourself asking “what actually is a window vacuum?”, I’ve put the Beldray Cordless Rechargeable Window Vacuum through its paces to find out.
Beldray Window Vacuum review
A window vacuum is almost exactly what the name suggests. It’s a handheld, squeegee-style appliance designed to remove condensation, water, and cleaning solution from smooth surfaces such as windows, mirrors, and shower screens. It's one of the most efficient cleaning hacks you'll ever come across.
The head features a rubber blade that glides across the surface, gathering moisture, while an internal vacuum mechanism simultaneously sucks the water into a small collection tank. The result is a surface that’s left dry, clear, and streak-free in a single pass.
I particularly love using mine to clear overnight condensation from my bedroom windows. It’s also brilliant when I’m drying laundry indoors and the glass starts to mist up. And if you have large panes of glass that show every speck of dust in bright sunlight, a quick sweep makes the room look as though the window cleaner has just been, without you having to book one.
Who would the Beldray Window vacuum suit?
There are plenty of window vacuums on the market, so why opt for the Beldray? For me, the first thing to mention is the price point. It’s undeniably one of the more affordable models available, and I think it offers fantastic value.

Nobody likes wasting money on cleaning gadgets that gather dust in a cupboard, but this is one that will help you to clean your home like a professional. This is a tool you’ll likely reach for every day, especially during the colder months, when condensation becomes a regular problem. Even if you only use it occasionally, it’s inexpensive enough that you won’t feel like you’ve overspent.
Compared with pricier models, including those from Kärcher, the Beldray delivers surprisingly strong suction and impressively streak-free results. The main difference lies in the finishes: it’s a little more plasticky and the motor is slightly noisier. In practical terms, though, it performs very similarly.
It’s cordless (as most window vacuums are), and the battery life is solid. Some users mention the water tank capacity as a limitation, but I didn’t find that to be the case in testing. Even when tackling my shower screen after a steamy bathroom session, it delivered consistently clear, streak-free results without filling the tank.
What is the Beldray Window Vacuum like to use?
When I test window vacuums, I look at several key performance factors: suction power, streak-free results, manoeuvrability, noise levels, weight, and battery life. I want to know that it will be the perfect aid when deep cleaning my home - and it passed the tests with flying colours.
The Beldray Window Vacuum is wonderfully simple to operate and breezed through my household tests with very little effort. There’s a single power button. Once switched on, the motor kicks into a steady whirr and the vacuum is ready to go. For best results, you keep the head upright and sweep across the glass in smooth horizontal passes.
My main test involved removing overnight condensation from bedroom windows, which is where I find these tools most useful. With a single pass, the Beldray Cordless Window Vacuum lifted the moisture cleanly off the glass, collecting it in the internal tank and leaving the surface clear almost instantly. It’s surprisingly satisfying to watch the condensation disappear and quickly became one of my daily cleaning habits for making my home sparkle.
I also tested it when drying laundry indoors, when humidity levels rise and windows tend to fog up quickly. Again, the suction was strong enough to remove the moisture in one sweep, preventing that damp film from sitting on the glass all day.
In the bathroom, I used Beldray Cordless Window Vacuum on a steamy shower screen and mirror, where water droplets and condensation can be stubborn. Even on heavily misted glass, the suction pulled away every last drop, leaving a noticeably streak-free finish. It’s far quicker than using a cloth or traditional squeegee. It's definitely an essential for cleaning the bathroom.
My only minor gripe is that the rubber blade doesn’t quite reach the extreme edges of the frame, so you can sometimes be left with a thin strip of moisture at the sides. A quick wipe with a microfibre cloth solves this easily, but it’s worth noting.
The water tank held more than I expected. I managed to complete my window, bathroom, and laundry tests without hitting the maximum capacity. When it did need emptying, the process was quick and mess-free.
Battery life is estimated at around 32 minutes, which is more than enough for most homes. In practice, I rarely came close to draining it during a cleaning session, you’re more likely to run out of surfaces before the battery runs out of power.
Window vacuums are one of the most underrated cleaning tools for achieving that professional, streak-free finish around the home.
The Beldray Cordless Window Vacuum proves you don’t need to spend a fortune to get great results, whilst also preventing mould in your house. It removes condensation quickly, keeps shower screens clear, and helps prevent moisture lingering on your windows, all with minimal effort.
For such a small investment, it’s a surprisingly effective way to keep your glass surfaces spotless and give yourself a little extra peace of mind when your windows mist up.
