You don't need me to tell you that polka dots are everywhere at the moment. The Princess of Wales wore them to a Buckingham Palace garden party last week, and so did several of the guests!

I typically tend to associate spots with either big events like the races or the polo (thank you Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman), but Susanna Reid demonstrated that this playful print works perfectly for the office, too.

She hosted Wednesday's Good Morning Britain wearing the M&S Mesh Polka Dot Fitted Top, which costs just £20, and is already flying off the virtual shelves. The brown and white colour palette is much softer than black and white, and when paired with a black leather midi skirt and taupe court heels, Susanna looked nothing short of sensational.

Susanna Reid is back to hosting Good Morning Britain after the Easter break, and she's certainly embracing the new season via her wardrobe. My favourite dress so far this week was the blue lace midi she wore on Tuesday, and if you liked it too, you'll be pleased to know that it's available to buy.

I love how Susanna and stylist Holly Smith have added heels and a ribbon belt to add some definition in matching shades of blue, or you could stick to neutral accessories like nude or tan.

Susanna Reid celebrated her 55th birthday yesterday with her regular stint on GMB. Taking to Instagram, the star shared a birthday snap, behind the scenes, thanking everyone for making her morning so special, as well as those who have pledged to take part in the 'One Million Minutes' campaign.

Beaming in the shot, Susanna looked ready to party in a burnished silver metallic, tie-neck blouse and a leather midi skirt. She completed her look with some sparkly silver heels to add to the festive and celebratory feel of her look.

The blouse is by British clothing brand, Monsoon and is available in silver and in gold. Susanna's stylist, Debbie Harper, revealed that the star's lovely leather skirt was from M&S, similar to this Jaeger design, which features similar seam detailing.

Susanna Reid always looks incredibly stylish when hosting Good Morning Britain. They were high-waisted and if you were looking at them from the front they’d seem like a beautifully timeless pair of black trousers. From the side, though, it’s a very different story.

This is one of the reasons we love Susanna Reid’s outfit, which was styled by Holly Slater and Debbie Harper. The look is sophisticated and classic with its silhouettes, but isn’t afraid to add some personality with the pops of watermelon-pink which is a colour she loves.

There were pink and moss-green stripes running down the sides of the Good Morning Britain host’s trousers. The muted green made the pink stand out even more against the black background and instantly gave these trousers a contemporary feel.

The elasticated, drawstring waist was a comfy detail and made the trousers slightly more relaxed. Because of this, we think they’d work perfectly dressed down with trainers and a T-shirt to make a smart-casual look, but Susanna went for a pink collared shirt and chic heels.

Her M&S top is sadly unavailable, but there are plenty of pretty pink alternatives out there right now that have a similar design. The material had a glamorous sheen to it and the feminine blouson sleeves complemented this.

Susanna tucked it into her trousers for a seamless finish and finished off her outfit with a pair of pointed toe pink heels. The coordination of the watermelon-pink shades was exceptional and it’s such a joyful tone to try out for spring and summer.

If you aren’t confident wearing brighter colours then the TV star’s example is a good one to follow. Going for more formal, timeless silhouettes can help to balance the boldness.

This means that your final outfit still has the fun pop of colour, but it isn’t overwhelming and feels a bit more elegant. You also don’t have to wear quite as much colour as Susanna did to get a striking effect.

A hot pink top would pair well with white jeans or trousers and we’d also style pink trousers or a skirt with a white or black T-shirt or blouse. You could also take this approach with other vibrant colours like red (which Susanna also wears a lot), green or royal blue if pink won’t fit in with your wardrobe staples.

When you want smarter silhouettes and tailoring then Karen Millen is one of the best British clothing brands to look at and Susanna’s dress epitomised this. It combined all the classic details we love about blazers and blazer dresses like the structured shoulders and long lapels with the contemporary cape accent over the shoulder.

This gave it such a lovely shape and is something more unique than traditional long sleeves. The blend of modern and traditional style worked seamlessly and although this blazer dress also comes in cobalt blue and black, Susanna went for an angelic white tone. White occasionwear doesn’t suit every occasion, for example weddings, but for parties and other special celebrations a white dress makes a real impact.

Even if you’re not a fan of white dresses, a blazer dress in a tone you love and which works with your go-to accessories is a gorgeous option. There’s something about tailoring that feels so sophisticated and sleek and you can style a blazer dress just as you would any other dress in your collection.

The Good Morning Britain host stepped out in white court shoes which had a subtle iridescent shimmer. They were special but still understated and complemented the dress. Susanna added even more sparkle with a delicate gold necklace, bangle, ring and her watch. She had her hair in soft waves to finish off this award night ensemble.

White or black blazers are the most versatile in terms of mixing and matching them with other shades, though Susanna Reid wearing a white blazer dress to the awards is quite a change for her. She tends to wear a lot of vibrant colours to events and for filming Good Morning Britain, favouring royal blues, pinks and reds.

We all love our favourite jeans and they’re the base of so many of our outfits as we wait for the warmer weather to return. Once you’ve found the best jeans for your body type the styling possibilities are endless, but there are occasions where we want something smarter but still very comfortable. Earlier this month newsreader Susanna Reid gave us the solution when she wore tapered navy trousers with a vibrant red blouse on Good Morning Britain. Styled by Holly Slater, Susanna’s look was sleek and sultry yet still very easy to wear day-to-day. Her trousers were by Boden and the stripes running down the side were expertly matched to her blouse.

If you want bright colours then Boden is one of the best British clothing brands to browse the online shelves of and Susanna’s trousers are now reduced to £36 in the sale. They’re navy blue and mid-rise, with a tapered, straight leg shape and ankle-grazer length.

There are back welt pockets as well as front pockets and the loops mean that you can easily mix and match different belts with these trousers too. Susanna wore them without one on Good Morning Britain and the contrast of the deep navy blue and cherry red stripes makes these instantly eye-catching.

She’s not afraid to wear head-to-toe vibrant colours and red is one of her favourites, but not everyone will be as drawn to such a bold look and neutral trousers with a hint of a brighter colour are a great alternative. The looser, straight leg design of Susanna’s Boden trousers is also great if you want more comfort than you typically get from streamlined tailored trousers.

They’re still quite smart which is perfect for those times when jeans just won’t do, but don’t feel overly corporate thanks to the sporty stripes. Susanna coordinated her affordable Friends Like These red blouse with the pattern and this tied the whole look together. The scarlet blouse has three quarter length puffed sleeves and ties into a bow at the neckline.

Red is one of those shades that is far easier to wear than you might think and it looks amazing with denim, as well as with neutral colours - including navy blue. Susanna’s blouse brought a sultry feel to her look, but in a very sophisticated way. Given that she was wearing her outfit to work she took the polished approach of tucking her blouse into her trousers.

To make it more casual and take it from work to an evening with friends or family, she could easily leave it draped over her trousers and swap her heels for a pair of her best white trainers or flat ankle boots. The broadcaster’s court shoe heels were also fiery red and had a chic pointed toe that just peeked out from underneath her tailored trousers.

She completed her ensemble with a silver chain bracelet, a pair of chunky stud earrings and a very dainty necklace that ensured that the elegant neckline of her blouse wasn’t overshadowed. If we ever need a smart-casual outfit to wear all day long then striped trousers and a bright top like this is a fun fashion formula.

Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid was among the many television stars who poured into London to attend the National Television Awards at the O2 arena. For the event, many celebrities dressed to the nines and there was a variety of bold looks on the red carpet as familiar faces from the silver screen gathered to celebrate the best television shows and series over the last year.

Showing her look on Instagram, Susanna thanked her makeup and styling team who made it possible. "NTAs!!! Thank you @makeupmel for glamming me up & @debbiedresses for dressing me up @raishmacouture ♥️ @officialntas," read the caption.

Susanna looked stunning as she wore her freshly trimmed bob haircut with blonde highlights in gentle waves that framed her face perfectly. The presenter's dress also perfectly showed off her bronzed tan with a fun one-shouldered design.

The fiery scarlet dress also featured sparkly stripes and frill detailing which Susanna paired with metallic heels. 

Although she may have looked incredible last night, the presenter revealed that she was forced to pull out of hosting Good Morning Britain this morning as she had completely lost her voice.

A caption of a video from GMB read, "She left the NTAs first but Susanna Reid is not sounding fresh this morning Rest your voice and thank you Charlotte Hawkins for stepping in!"

Susanna was in fact in the building ready for the show but was incredibly croaky and could barely speak over a whisper. When interviewed by Charlotte and Ed from the dressing room, Susanna said,  "I don't know whether it was the heatwave inflaming my vocal chords, its funny because of course it was the NTAs last night and when I got into my cab to leave, the driver said, 'you're the very first person to leave the NTAs, you're obviously not partying' and of course I don't drink, I don't smoke, so there's absolutely no reason, I can't understand why I've completely lost my voice."

"The irony of it [is] that we were all there together last night, you left first, you hadn't been drinking anything, I didn't leave as early as I should have done," said Charlotte. Ed interrupted to say that he too didn't drink that much and had a relatively early night when he left at the same time. Susanna concluded her chat by saying, "Thank you Charlotte for stepping in!" and heading back home to rest her voice.
