Prince Harry's Highgrove meet-up with King Charles is a step towards a father-son reconciliation, but his relationships with the rest of the Royal Family are another matter. He and Meghan didn't attend Peter Phillip's wedding in June and according to Woman's royal correspondent, Duncan Larcombe, Harry and Zara Tindall's "old close friendship" has reportedly "almost entirely evaporated".

However, there's still one cousin who seems to be keeping up communication with the Sussexes. The Duchess recently posted a holiday album and one picture of her, Harry and their children on the beach got me curious. If they're all in the photo, who was behind the camera?

We can't know for sure, but the snaps are thought to have been taken in Portugal and Princess Eugenie and her family split their time between there and the UK.

The beach picture is very personal and taken so that Archie and Lilibet's faces aren't visible. It's always possible that Harry and Meghan set-up an automated photo-taking mechanism, though the framing looks like a person could've snapped it too.

Princess Eugenie and Harry have always been close and she's the only royal known to have visited him and Meghan in the US since they moved. In his memoir, Spare, the Duke of Sussex wrote about how his cousin and wife got along "as if they were sisters" from the start.

"If meeting the rest of my family goes like this, we're home free," he added.

However, the Princess and her sister Beatrice have been keeping a low profile in recent months amid the scandal that's engulfed their father Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who vehemently denies allegations of wrongdoing.

Last year, Duncan Larcombe suggested that the Duchess of Sussex will be "very aware of the sensitivities as she's very media conscious".

He claimed, "She won't want to be seen to be too sympathetic towards them, so will keep her distance. I don't think she could object to Harry privately supporting them, but they will be on very different pages."

If it was Princess Eugenie who took the beach picture for Harry and Meghan, it suggests that privately they're still close. The Princess is currently pregnant with her third baby, due this summer, and a meet-up would be a great time for her sons August and Ernest to bond more with Archie and Lilibet too.

It's also not like they would have to spend all their time together, as another Portugal picture showing just Meghan and Lili could easily have been taken by Prince Harry.

"[The Sussexes] love Portugal because Archie and Lilibet can simply be kids," a source has claimed to PEOPLE. "It's always very low-key with beach days, playing and spending time together as a family."

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank started partly living out there from 2022, but they still keep up their relationships with the other royals and attended Peter's wedding. She could be a key link for Prince Harry and the rest of their cousins if he keeps working to achieve a wider royal "reconciliation".

After months of keeping as low a profile as possible, Princess Eugenie returned to social media on 4th May to reveal she’s pregnant with her and Jack Brooksbank's third child. She confirmed the news on her Instagram, whilst the palace released a separate statement saying King Charles had been informed and was "delighted".

However, it was apparently thanks to Zara Tindall that there was this official announcement, according to the Mail on Sunday. The publication reports that the "Palace became involved in issuing a formal proclamation only after Eugenie’s cousin Zara Tindall, one of the few to have been entrusted with the news, persuaded her to write to the King."

A royal source also alleged that the pregnant Princess "did so via an Easter card accompanied by a carefully written letter to her uncle". This apparently came after Eugenie had been a little "apprehensive" over how her baby news and the attention on it would go down with the Royal Family in light of the scandal engulfing Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

"She and Jack were quite surprised by the warmth of the Palace response," the source claimed. "The couple had feared a frostier reception and had been contemplating making a media announcement of their own without the Palace being involved, but the King made contact and asked his officials to make a formal announcement."

King Charles hasn’t addressed these new reports, though if Zara did encourage her cousin to confide in him, that speaks volumes about their own relationship. Christmas Day was the last time we saw Eugenie and her sister Princess Beatrice out with the rest of the royals.

Zara and her daughter Lena were seen laughing with Beatrice and her husband Edoardo and their bond was clear to see. The equestrian royal looks like she’s making a real effort with the York sisters and isn’t distancing herself in light of the scrutiny on Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.

He continues to vehemently deny all allegations of wrongdoing and Eugenie and Beatrice haven’t been accused of anything themselves. Despite this, their father’s arrest on suspicion of misconduct in a public office in February and him losing his Princely title last year must’ve surely taken an emotional toll on the pair.

If Zara was one of a select group Eugenie told at first, it shows the cousins are still close. Neither are working royals and yet they’ve often stepped up to support The Firm at events like Garden Parties and have attended Ascot and Cheltenham together.

The Tindalls are also incredibly close to the Prince and Princess of Wales and have managed to forge their own paths, perfecting - as woman&home royal correspondent Emily Andrews puts it - the "royal balancing act". In our March issue, she explained that Zara and Mike "honour the monarchy, and maintain close bonds with the likes of William and Kate, all while raising thousands for charity" and "paying their own way".

They’re very loyal to the monarchy, so it also makes sense on this level that Zara might’ve thought it was a good idea for Eugenie to inform the head of the family before releasing her pregnancy announcement.

King Charles’s new great-niece or great-nephew will be born 15th in the royal line of succession and their arrival will likely mark the start of a happier period for Eugenie after such a challenging year so far.

Princess Eugenie has returned to Instagram to confirm the happy news that she and Jack Brooksbank are expecting their third baby together. The post included an adorable photo of the couple's sons August and Ernest holding an ultrasound picture and the Royal Family separately announced the pregnancy in a more formal way.

The Buckingham Palace statement seems fairly typical at first but I couldn't help noticing that it ended by declaring, "His Majesty The King has been informed and is delighted with the news."

Compare this to the announcement of Princess Beatrice's second pregnancy in 2024 and the difference is subtle but interesting - "His Majesty The King has been informed and both families are delighted with the news."

When Eugenie was pregnant with her second child in 2023, the Palace statement also said that "the family are delighted". Omitting any mention of the wider family in the 2026 statement is something I think was both deliberate and clever.

She and Beatrice have both been keeping incredibly low profiles for months now following Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and Sarah Ferguson's dramatic fall from grace. Their father had his princely title stripped by King Charles last autumn and had to move from his Windsor home to the Sandringham estate.

Andrew was then arrested on suspicion of misconduct in a public office in February. He vehemently denies all allegations of wrongdoing, though the headlines keep on coming and his daughters have been dragged into the press coverage by association.

Neither of the Princesses attended the royals' Easter service and King Charles is said to have been the "one royal" fighting their corner in recent months. As the monarch he's the head of the family and he would, of course, be informed of his niece's pregnancy.

He's the only one referenced in the Buckingham Palace announcement and it reinforces their bond and how Eugenie is aligned with the Royal Family. It could also be helping to shield her and Jack from their happy news being turned into another avenue to discuss Andrew and Sarah.

Not referencing "both families" keeps attention on the proud parents and not the complex personal situation they're navigating right now. Princess Eugenie and Jack's third baby is due this summer and will be born 15th in the royal line of succession, though they won't be entitled to a Prince/Princess title.

Eugenie and Beatrice have kept their own Princess titles and they've not been accused of anything themselves. The Palace emphasised their status in the statement by referring to Eugenie by her full title: "Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie".

Again, this was a thoughtful choice that sends a message about where Eugenie and Beatrice stand with their uncle despite everything that's been happening. Since the palace announced Eugenie's pregnancy, I'd expect them to also release a statement when her third baby is born and it'll be interesting to see if "both families" are mentioned in that one…

Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank are expecting their third child together, with their happy news being confirmed via the Royal Family's Instagram account.

Adorably, Eugenie and Jack let their two sons - August and Ernest - help break the news, posing with a picture of their ultrasound scan.

Sharing the happy news, Buckingham Palace confirmed that "His Majesty the King has been informed and is delighted with the news".

Eugenie and Jack have been married since October 12, 2018, with the ceremony taking place at St George's Chapel in Windsor Castle.

The pair were said to have first met in 2010, and announced their engagement in January 2018.

Their first son, August, was born in February 2021, and Ernest was born in May 2023. Their third child is set to be born this summer.

When born, the couple's third child will become 15th in the line of succession to the throne, with their great uncle, Prince Edward, Duke of Edinburgh, moving down to 16th place.

Princess Eugenie reposted the photo of her two sons after the Royal Family's account made the announcement, her first post since November 2025.

The happy news for the princess comes after a tough few months, following the arrest of her father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor in February of this year, and the backlash her mother, Sarah Ferguson, has received for her past communications with Jeffrey Epstein.

Eugenie and Jack's child will be the fifth grandchild for both Andrew and Sarah.

As well as Eugenie's other two sons, Princess Beatrice and her husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, share daughters Athena and Sienna.

After almost twenty years of living at Royal Lodge with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Sarah Ferguson moved out earlier this year, a Duchess no longer and with no new royal residence to call home. When it was first announced that formal notice had been served to her ex-husband to "surrender" the lease, reports speculated that Fergie could move in with one of their daughters.

However, Princess Eugenie and her husband Jack Brooksbank apparently aren’t eager for Fergie to move in. Speaking to the Daily Mail, a source claimed, "Eugenie and Jack are resisting any suggestion from her mother that she should come and live with them. Because to be frank Sarah is difficult to live with and they don’t want the responsibility of looking after her at the moment."

They stressed that this doesn’t mean they’re not concerned about Sarah’s welfare, but they "just don’t actually want her to be living with them, even temporarily." Eugenie and her older sister Beatrice haven’t been swept up in the flurry of scrutiny and headlines concerning their parents for months now.

They’re now the only members of their immediate family with titles and some have said that there’s just "one" royal fighting their corner. Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has consistently and vehemently denied the allegations against him concerning his connection to the late Jeffrey Epstein.

Even so, the royal’s son-in-law Jack is said to be doing "everything he can" to not amplify the attention. A close source alleged that because of the businessman’s "code of honour", he will not "completely desert Andrew and Sarah" but won’t "step into the line of fire himself" as he’s focusing on protecting his family with Eugenie.

"His first loyalty has to be to his wife and their two young children. The whole sordid affair has already brought them a great deal of unwarranted attention and he won't do anything to increase that," they stated.

The couple married in October 2018 and have two sons, August (5) and Ernest (almost 3) that they’ll no doubt be keen to shield from the scrutiny. Princess Beatrice has two daughters, Sienna (4) and Athena (1) with her husband Edoardo Mapelli-Mozzi and a stepson, Wolfie.

Athena’s christening in December 2025 was the last time Sarah Ferguson was spotted in public and it’s not known where she’s living now. Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested on 19th February on suspicion of misconduct in a public office, shortly after relocating to Norfolk.

"Bea, in particular, has been dragged into this by her mother seemingly using her to try to get back into Epstein's good books," a friend told Woman Royal Editor, Emily Andrews. "She's distressed; she's not eating or sleeping… I'd imagine, like most of us would be, that she's on the verge of a nervous breakdown, and we're all really worried about her. Euge is the stronger of the pair, and putting on a brave face, but she's understandably devastated."

According to them, Eugenie and Beatrice are "having to come to terms with a criminal investigation into their father".

So far the start of 2026 hasn’t exactly been smooth-sailing for the Royal Family and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s arrest on suspicion of misconduct in a public office was a particular lowlight of the scandal-centric past few months. There has been renewed scrutiny on the entire family and this includes the former Prince’s daughters, Eugenie and Beatrice.

They are not accused of any wrongdoing, though the headlines concerning both their parents have put them firmly in the spotlight by association. They’re still Princesses and expert and author Robert Jobson believes King Charles is fighting their corner behind the scenes whilst some question if they should lose theirs too.

Their uncle is known to be very close to them and Jobson has claimed, as per the Express, that he’s the "only one who actually cares". The expert alleged that the Prince of Wales takes a pragmatic approach to The Firm that’s "unsentimental" by contrast.

He added that the Princess of Wales "backs people who stay quiet and get on with things". Princess Eugenie and Beatrice aren’t working royals like the Waleses and although Jobson states that "nobody gives up a title voluntarily", if you’re not undertaking royal duties "an HRH is a target not a shield" and it "ties them" to Andrew and the whole Epstein scandal.

"In the end the rule should be simple: you work for the Crown, you keep the title. You don’t, you don’t. Charles and William need to make that call," he adds.

When it was announced that Andrew would stop using his Duke of York title, The Telegraph reported that the King supposedly made it clear his nieces must be "protected" from the fall of their parents. He’s said to have insisted on this approach so his nieces could retain their titles, rather than officially stripping his brother’s Dukedom.

Throughout everything, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has consistently and vehemently denied all allegations of wrongdoing. He later officially lost his Princely title "notwithstanding" this, and has now moved out of his Royal Lodge home and settled at his new Sandringham residence.

There have been numerous calls for him to now be removed from the royal line of succession too and he currently sits at 8th. Eugenie and Beatrice are the only grandchildren of the late Queen Elizabeth to have or use Princess titles whilst not being a working royal and although their uncle is supposedly fighting their corner, we’ve heard before how titles can be challenging.

Princess Anne famously turned down the offer of titles for her children Peter Phillips and Zara Tindall and she doesn’t regret it at all.

"I think it was probably easier for them, and I think most people would argue that there are downsides to having titles," she said a few years ago. "So I think that was probably the right thing to do."

Her children seem content with the decision too, with Peter revealing in the Anne: The Princess Royal at 70 documentary that they were "always brought up on the understanding" that they’d have to go to work.

"I think it made us fight harder as well. To try and be as successful as we could be," Zara said. "So I definitely, you know, we’re very grateful to not give us a title anyway."

Never have the royal princesses had to face such a scandal.

The arrest of their father Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor sent Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie into complete shock. But it has been the actions of their mother, Sarah Ferguson, that I understand has left them feeling 'devastated and betrayed' - and facing the 'ghastly' position of what it would take to have to cut off their own mum.

Now, the princesses don't know which way to turn - with Beatrice reportedly 'severely distressed' and Eugenie left feeling 'duped'.

A friend told me, 'They've been dragged into this scandal because their mum took them to visit one of her friends [Epstein] and were asked to have tea or give tours of Buckingham Palace to his friends.

'They're having to come to terms with a criminal investigation into their father and feeling betrayed by their mother.

'They believed what they were told by their parents – that they did nothing wrong.'

Last October, their father, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, was stripped of his Prince title and Duke of York honours after it became clear he had lied about ending his friendship with Jeffrey Epstein in December 2010.

The latest Epstein files from America's Department of Justice revealed their friendship had continued – latterly through intermediaries – until around 2017.

At the time, Buckingham Palace stressed that the King regarded the two sisters as blameless.

But since then additional documents have revealed Beatrice, now 37, and Eugenie, 35, went to visit the convicted paedophile at his mansion in Palm Beach, Florida, with their mother, Sarah Ferguson, in July 2009, only a week after he was released from jail for child sex offences.

The police investigation into Epstein was first started after a complaint from a girl aged 14.

Emails from Sarah also appear to show how she consulted Beatrice about how to get back into Epstein's good books.

The emails from her to the financier repeatedly show her begging for money - either for unpaid rent or to pay off outstanding staff salaries running to thousands. So it's unsurprising that Beatrice and Eugenie feel so upset.

I'm told that Andrew told them the same story as he told the late Queen and King Charles - that he'd done nothing wrong.

The princesses were 19 and 20 when Fergie took them on holiday to Miami to see Epstein.

It's easy to be critical in hindsight now that Epstein's crimes are front and centre, but if your parents say ‘we're going to lunch with a friend', you probably wouldn't think anything of it.

The sisters are reported to be holding 'crisis talks' as the scandal engulfing their parents continues, and are described as 'mortified' at their mother's relationship with Epstein.

As for Fergie - well, she's doing what she does best…

She went on holiday - first to an expensive and lavish wellness retreat in Switzerland in January, then to sunnier climes in Qatar before returning to the Alps.

Now, she is apparently 'laying low with friends' in the UK and 'in constant tears', convinced that it is vital to keep her 'distance' from Andrew, with whom she remained very close after their divorce in the mid-1990s.

'People have been talking about her secretly getting out abroad but that would involve planning and money and stealth and she hasn't got any of those things,' said one source.

'She is not in a good place. She is a very delicate human.'

However, she remains in hiding, with no public sightings of the former duchess made since the scandal exploded.

And what of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's relationship with Eugenie - and indeed Fergie, whose royal rehabilitation started with an invite to their wedding?

Harry and Eugenie are close - they both own homes in the same complex in Portugal and the princess is reportedly the only member of the family to have visited the Sussexes at their Montecito home.

I'm told both Meghan and Harry have been 'supportive' of their cousin.

But it was Prince Harry who was the first member of the family to publicly speak out about the allegations.

In his memoir Spare he complained that Andrew still received security (paid for by King Charles), 'Despite being embroiled in a shameful scandal.'

It's reported that neither daughter has yet been to see their father at Wood Farm, on the Sandringham estate.

Instead the King, his older brother, has said ‘the law must take its course' in a statement after his arrest that did not even refer to the fact they were brothers.

Who knows where this story will go next – but one thing is for sure… It won't be over for some time and the betrayal of two children won't easily be forgiven. Mother's Day I'd imagine will be very lonely for Sarah.

The victims of convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein are obvious and deserve all of our sympathy. The hundreds of trafficked women and girls he used to create a dependent nexus of the super-rich and powerful.

And the latest revelations from the Epstein files in the US, containing millions of emails, pictures and documents, paint a picture of how deeply intertwined that group was - including the former Prince Andrew and his wife, Sarah.

But there are hidden (albeit different) victims, too. And I’d include the two York princesses, Eugenie and Beatrice. Their parents’ connection to Epstein - who wasn’t just their friend, but their fixer - has brought ceaseless and unrelenting disgrace upon not only the whole house of York, but the entire Royal Family.

My experience of the two girls is that they are sweet, hard-working and hugely family focused. Beatrice has Sienna, four, and one-year-old Athena, while Eugenie has two boys, August, four, and Ernest, two.

I’m told that the princesses are "broken" by the shame and scandal. But are said to be taking different positions when it comes to supporting their father.

Beatrice was pictured out horse riding with her father and young daughter at Windsor in a calculated public show of support (although this was before the latest barrage of odious information about her father was released), while it is thought Eugenie is trying to create distance between herself and her parents, helped by the fact she now lives most of the year in Portugal. It’s been incredibly difficult.

A fine line

Both are trying to walk the fine line of being there for their parents (however awful that must be for them, given what they now know) and also supporting the royal institution, which has publicly cut off Andrew by removing all his titles and Royal Lodge home.

But behind the scenes, I’m told the sisters have been extremely grateful to the Princess of Wales for her kindness and concern. While in a new statement, the Waleses said they were 'deeply concerned' by the Epstein revelations and "focused on the victims", insiders say that they are also committed to supporting William's cousins.

Catherine herself has had a difficult time in recent years and arguably, at times, must have felt like she was at breaking point. To hear that she is helping is a sign she also feels very sorry for the situation Beatrice and Eugenie find themselves in, through no fault of their own.

"Publicly, of course the senior royals have to maintain distance," a source told me. "But Andrew's siblings, particularly Edward and Anne, have been worried."

"William and Catherine have been very supportive - the princess has been in regular contact with Beatrice and Eugenie just to check in and make sure they’re OK. The prince and princess have supported the King in stripping Andrew of his titles, and they are very concerned about everyone who has been affected by his behaviour."

My source adds: "Kate is fond of Beatrice and Eugenie - she’s a fellow mother and can appreciate how difficult this is for them at a time when they are caring for their young children also."

Appalled and embarrassed

Beatrice, 37, and Eugenie, 35, have been apparently "shocked" at what has come out of the Epstein files. They were said to be "aghast" at their mother’s embarrassing tranche of emails to Jeffrey Epstein.

Sources close to the sisters say they are also "appalled" and "embarrassed" about the new photos of their father Andrew crouching over a mystery woman lying on the floor, and his emails to the billionaire asking for his counsel and his money. Could he pay for a screening party for Sarah’s film on Queen Victoria, could he provide a place to holiday, could he help pay their debts, could he bring friends for some "fun".

And, in return, Epstein was offered private dinners - and VIP tours for friends - at Buckingham Palace, lucrative introductions and access to power. The siblings have been left ashamed by their mother's sycophantic emails to the paedophile financier after his conviction for child sex crimes.

Sarah Ferguson fawned over Epstein, who famously paid some of her debts, telling the convicted sex offender that he was a "legend" and joked that they should get married. Other emails she sent him mentioned her daughter Eugenie’s sex life and revealed that Fergie had taken her children to lunch with the convicted paedophile when they were just 19 and 20.

Crucially, the latest tranche of documents reveal that Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor lied when he told Newsnight’s Emily Maitlis in November 2019 that he had cut off all contact with Epstein when he was pictured with him in New York, December 2010.

But the three million documents released in the latest batch of Epstein files show a billionaire and a then prince who were, in fact, in close, warm, continued contact.

Time to rebuild

The toxicity surrounding the York family brand is undeniable - Andrew has been placed into internal exile and is currently living at Wood Farm on the King’s Sandringham Estate, while his permanent home, Marsh Farm, undergoes renovations.

Now Beatrice and Eugenie have to rebuild their brand, away from that of their parents. The support of the Prince and Princess of Wales - and the King (those Christmas invitations to Sandringham and the Buckingham Palace lunch were invaluable) - will be key.

"I think they’re caught. There’s a very tight bond [and] I’m sure [the princesses] are being supportive of the parents,' says Andrew Lownie, author of Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York.

He predicts they will fly "a little bit more under the radar" with their own business activities (Beatrice runs her own tech advisory company and Eugenie works for art gallery Hauser & Wirth) for the time being, though.

"They’ve both been doing a lot in the Middle East. I think that will go on hold," he says. "The only way they can act now is never be photographed with their parents, and try to distance themselves as much as possible. It’s a difficult time for them. It’s deeply distressing and they must feel it desperately."

Modern royal history was made today - for all the wrong reasons - as the King’s brother Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor was arrested in Norfolk on suspicion of misconduct in a public office. In recent months Andrew has faced a torrent of allegations, headlines and calls to co-operate with any potential investigation concerning the Epstein files.

He has consistently and vehemently denied the accusations against him but the spotlight has been firmly on not only Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, but by association, their daughters Eugenie and Beatrice.

Despite not having any accusations against them, the toll of recent months must be a hefty one and many people might now be wondering what the latest Andrew development means for them. So, are Beatrice and Eugenie still Princesses?

The answer is yes, they are. Andrew’s arrest hasn’t changed anything for his daughters on a royal level. King Charles announced in October he was stripping his brother of his prince title and prior to this, Andrew said he would stop using his Duke of York title - all notwithstanding that the royal was denying all allegations against him.

Although Eugenie and Beatrice’s ‘Princess of York’ titles derived from their father’s, theirs remained unaffected by both events. According to The Telegraph, King Charles apparently made it clear his nieces must be "protected" due to his "high affection" for them.

As the granddaughters of the late reigning monarch - Queen Elizabeth - via her son, they are entitled to be referred to as Princesses and this hasn’t ceased to be the case because of what’s happening with Andrew and his arrest. Keeping their titles, however, probably isn’t going to be of much comfort to Eugenie and Beatrice at the moment.

Already we’ve seen the York Princesses keeping a low profile in recent months and it said a lot that they made a rare exception to join the Royal Family at Sandringham House for Christmas. This sent a powerful message of unity with their uncle King Charles and wider family.

The news of their father’s arrest shortly after his relocation to Norfolk - and on his 66th birthday - will be another blow for Beatrice and Eugenie on a personal level and I would expect them to process it privately. The Princesses might also choose to "withdraw socially" rather than throwing themselves into the busy spring/summer season like they normally would.

They are still titled, important family members but in practice, recent events will likely make them cautious and happier to avoid the spotlight.

"Now Beatrice and Eugenie have to rebuild their brand, away from that of their parents," writes Emily Andrews in Woman. "The support of the Prince and Princess of Wales - and the King (those Christmas invitations to Sandringham and the Buckingham Palace lunch were invaluable) - will be key."

A clear and unforgiving line has apparently been drawn by Princess Eugenie when it comes to her disgraced father Andrew. Reports have suggested she's refusing to speak to him, with their estrangement likened to that of the Beckhams'.

She and her sister sent a powerful, unified message of solidarity with the Royal Family when they chose to spend Christmas with them instead of with their parents. However, Eugenie and Beatrice are reportedly taking very different approaches to talking to Andrew, and I'm not surprised that Eugenie's is apparently stricter.

"There is no contact at all, nothing. It's Brooklyn Beckham level - she has completely cut him off," a source alleged to the Mail on Sunday. "Beatrice is trying to walk the fine line of not cutting her father off and yet remaining close with the Royal Family."

In their view, Eugenie "isn't trying to walk that line" and is just "not speaking to him" at all. It's understood that she also didn't visit Andrew over Christmas and he's said to be "devastated" at the rift that emerged between him and his youngest daughter.

The sisters have ridden the tide of damaging headlines and claims about their father and his association with Jeffrey Epstein before, but recent months have seen new reports and details emerge.

In October he was stripped of his Princely title by King Charles in a statement which declared that "notwithstanding the fact that he continues to deny the allegations against him", the new measures were "deemed necessary". Princess Eugenie's reported "no contact" approach to her father makes sense given she's a co-founder of The Anti-Slavery Collective.

This human rights organisation is dedicated to preventing modern slavery and human trafficking and Epstein died in jail awaiting trial for sex trafficking charges.

It's alleged Eugenie is upset as Andrew has never publicly apologised to Epstein's victims. Though King Charles's statement regarding his brother didn't explicitly name Epstein, it did conclude, "Their Majesties wish to make clear that their thoughts and utmost sympathies have been, and will remain with, the victims and survivors of any and all forms of abuse".

The disgraced former Prince has until this October to vacate Royal Lodge in Windsor where he's lived for over two decades, with some believing Andrew could move out by his birthday on 19th February. This will be a major move and it's said that Eugenie hasn't been heavily involved in it.

She splits her time between the UK and Portugal and has been keeping a low profile in recent months, as has Beatrice. Neither attended the Princess of Wales's Together at Christmas carol service in December, making their Christmas Day appearance the first time they'd been spotted since Andrew lost his title.

When it was initially announced that he would give up using his Duke of York title (13 days before he became Mr Mountbatten-Windsor), reports swirled that King Charles had wanted his nieces to be "protected" from the fall-out due to his "high affection" for them. Eugenie and Beatrice have kept their Princess titles and are clearly still being invited and welcomed to Royal Family gatherings - unlike either of their parents.

If the rumours of Princess Eugenie cutting off contact with Andrew are to be believed, then she will likely remain a firm fixture at occasions like Ascot and Easter at Windsor Castle, without feeling her loyalties are divided.

The King's Christmas Day speech wasn't the only message the royals delivered late last year and this one came through loud and clear as soon as I saw them walking to church in Norfolk. This tradition has been kept going for decades now and it gives us an opportunity to see more of the Royal Family out in public than usual.

Even so, I was surprised to spot Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice with their husbands alongside the King and Queen. Just days earlier, reports had suggested the sisters wouldn't have Christmas at Sandringham House and yet, there they were.

In the aftermath of Andrew being stripped of his Prince title, his daughters had kept a low profile. Neither attended the Princess of Wales's Together at Christmas carol service, perhaps to avoid the headlines being all about that and not the event itself.

They could have chosen to spend the festive season with Andrew and Sarah Ferguson at Royal Lodge. It's thought to have been the last ever Christmas the former couple will have there before moving out. However, Eugenie and Beatrice took their uncle up on his invite and they didn't shy away from the public either.

Princess Eugenie walked close behind King Charles and Queen Camilla and Beatrice and her husband Edoardo were seen chatting with Zara Tindall and her daughter. The message of family unity from His Majesty and his nieces couldn't have been clearer.

When it was first announced that Andrew would relinquish using his Duke of York title, reports suggested King Charles wished for Eugenie and Beatrice to be "protected" from their parents' fall from grace. They have retained their own titles and His Majesty inviting them to Christmas signals that they remain at the heart of his family.

I think it's incredibly interesting that Eugenie and Beatrice accepted the invite for this first Christmas after their father became Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. It shows they're very much keeping their relationships with the wider family going strong.

However they might feel privately about everything that's happened with Andrew and Sarah, their choice of Christmas venue could be viewed as public support for the King and the Royal Family heading into 2026.

Beatrice, whose place in the royal line of succession means she's a Counsellor of State to their uncle, has represented him before. It's possible that she might continue to do so, and she and Eugenie are likely still going to go to Royal Ascot and other events.

Christmas Day was their first big appearance in months and they had the support and company of so many other royals alongside them, no doubt making this slightly easier than it might otherwise have been.

"They did the right thing - showing loyalty to King Charles and to the Crown. It's easy to say this is a snub [to their parents], but they would say, 'I'm a royal princess, I'm in line to the throne, I have been invited to attend the King's Christmas celebrations and you don't turn down the King's invitation,'" royal author Robert Jobson recently said of the sisters' decision.

As Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice are both non-working royals the next big family occasion they might attend is Easter at Windsor Castle. Like at Christmas, the royals are seen walking to church and it’ll be interesting to see if they take up this invitation too.

Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice reunited with the rest of the Royal Family the week before Christmas to attend King Charles's annual festive lunch at Buckingham Palace. The sisters were pictured smiling as they arrived and this was the first time they've been spotted at a royal occasion since their father was stripped of his Princely title.

Unsurprisingly, Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor wasn't at the lunch, though plenty of other family members were there, including the Prince of Wales. He's said to have taken a hard line with his uncle and reports claimed he could ban him from "all elements of royal life" when he's King.

However, when it comes to Andrew's daughters, William has "particular sympathy" for what they're going through. The BBC's former Royal Correspondent Jennie Bond believes his own experience as a boy might shape his approach.

"He had to endure endless publicity about his parents as he was growing up," she shared. "Of course the headlines then were for very different reasons: the disintegration of his parents' marriage. But it was still traumatic for a young boy. You have to feel for these young women."

As Jennie notes, the media frenzies surrounding King Charles and Princess Diana and Andrew and Sarah Ferguson were sparked by incredibly different things. However, she makes an interesting point about how Prince William knows all-too-well what it's like to grow up seeing your parents constantly being the subject of news stories.

Coming from a place of at least some level of understanding could help William navigate these difficult times and support Eugenie and Beatrice.

The cousins have always been close and Jennie was "pleased" to see the sisters going to this pre-Christmas lunch. The expert noted that "whatever you think" of the Princesses' parents, they've "not been accused of doing anything wrong".

Over the years they've "had to watch their parents being humiliated and publicly criticised" but "have remained close to the rest of the Royal Family". She added, "The late Queen showed them great affection and the King also seems keen to protect them. So I think everyone would have been very welcoming at the Palace lunch."

Despite reports suggesting the Princess of Wales extended an olive branch to Eugenie and Beatrice and invited them to Together at Christmas, they didn't end up attending in early December.

It's possible that they didn't want to overshadow this special occasion, as many people would have focused on the sisters if they'd been there.

King Charles's private family lunch is a more low-key way for Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie to reunite with the royals. They looked in good spirits as they arrived together and this event showcased how they are very much still part of the royal fold.

Whilst Andrew is no longer a Prince, they have retained their Princess titles and are still being included in royal occasions and events. Whether or not they will attend as many as they did in the past is another matter, though receiving a "very welcoming" response at this Christmas lunch might encourage them to do so.

The Princess of Wales will soon be hosting her fifth Together at Christmas carol service and whilst we already know some of the celebrity guests this year, the royal attendees are generally not announced beforehand. There’s usually quite a turn-out to support Catherine and the York sisters have rarely missed a service since they started in 2021.

It’s now been suggested by royal commentator Neil Sean that the Princess of Wales’s office has sent "personal invitations" to Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice. He claimed that as this is Catherine’s "project" she has "the final say", likening it to Prince William with the Earthshot Prize.

"Above all, yes, the Royal Family wants to be seen as united amid what has been a very difficult year," he went on to say.

The last few months have been the most difficult of all for Eugenie and Beatrice as their parents become embroiled in headlines linked to their past associations with Jeffrey Epstein. The scrutiny gained momentum and after confirming he’d stop using his Duke of York title, Andrew was the focus of the King's unprecedented statement days later.

King Charles declared that he’d initiated proceedings to strip his brother of his Princely title, rendering him simply Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. He continues to vehemently deny the accusations against him and both he, his former wife Sarah and their daughters have kept a low profile since the scandal.

If the Princess of Wales has personally invited Princess Beatrice and Eugenie to Together at Christmas, as has been suggested, it could be seen as an olive branch and a way to show them they are still very much part of the family.

It was reported that King Charles’s "high affection" for his nieces led him to want to protect them from their parents’ fall from grace.

Family, however, is incredibly important to the Princess of Wales and although I believe she’d completely understand whatever decision they make, I think it’s very likely that she felt it was important to invite them. It sends a powerful message and also makes a lot of sense given the theme of this year’s service - love in all its forms.

Each Together at Christmas service is focused on a different, powerful message and making sure her nearest and dearest are included and come together is a way for Catherine to show her love to them. For many people Christmas is all about family and whilst the Royal Family’s celebrations are a lot more public, it still rings true for them.

Prince William is understood to have a close bond with his cousins and previously described how they and their children play a big part in an element of Christmas he looks forward to.

“When I see my children meet up with my cousins’ children, they will have a wonderful time playing together. It’s very special. So I look forward to that a lot,” he declared on Radio Marsden back in 2021.

It wouldn’t have mattered what magnificent gown Queen Camilla wore to this year’s Diplomatic Corps Reception on 18th November, her tiara was always going to steal the show. As soon as I saw her glimmering emerald-studded headpiece it struck me what a significant choice it was.

We’ve all seen the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik Tiara before - when Princess Eugenie wore it on her wedding day. This was the first time it had been glimpsed in years and no-one had publicly worn it since until Queen Camilla. The tiara is still strongly associated with Eugenie and I think Her Majesty and her team would have known this.

So much thought goes into every detail of a royal’s outfit and Queen Camilla has a staggering amount of tiaras she could’ve picked instead. Yet she chose to make her debut in the Kokoshnik and I think after the scandals and headlines in recent weeks it could be a small nod of support for her niece.

Autumn has been a time of massive change for the Royal Family, as it was firstly confirmed that Eugenie’s father Andrew would no longer use his Duke of York title. A few days later, King Charles made the unprecedented decision to remove his brother’s Princely title in a statement that featured a very important line.

Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, as he is now known, has continued to vehemently deny the accusations against him. His daughters Eugenie and Beatrice remain Princesses and reports have claimed that King Charles holds his nieces in "high affection" and wanted them to be "protected" from the fall of the House of York.

Whilst it could be a coincidence, I personally think it’s possible Queen Camilla wore Eugenie's wedding tiara as a meaningful gesture, indicating how she and Beatrice are still much-loved and close to their wider family.

No other part of Her Majesty’s jewellery or outfit was green, so it wasn’t as though the tiara was tying in with another element.

Any jewelled headpiece would’ve worked with her white gown. Maxwell Stone from UK jeweller Steven Stone has declared that they’ve "previously estimated the distinctive diamond and emerald headpiece - made by the French jewellery, Boucheron, in 1919 - to be worth £10 million."

This would make it "the most expensive of all the tiaras" they’ve studied and Maxwell adds that "wearing emeralds is said to promote friendship, peace, harmony, and domestic bliss". It enables the wearer to "both give and receive unconditional love".

This is a special sentiment at any point and particularly apt now, given the slew of headlines the Royal Family have faced in recent weeks surrounding the former Prince Andrew. Her Majesty’s headpiece hasn’t gone unnoticed since the Diplomatic Corps Reception and I would be surprised if she had expected it would.

Neither she or King Charles have been seen in public with Princess Eugenie or Princess Beatrice since their father was stripped of his title. It remains to be seen whether the sisters will join the royals at Sandringham House for Christmas after everything that has happened, although reports have suggested that they will likely be invited to.

Try as they might, Princess Eugenie and Beatrice can’t outrun the headlines about their parents, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and Sarah Ferguson, in recent weeks. Wherever the disgraced former Prince and Duchess are mentioned, their daughters are soon brought into the conversation, especially as they have retained their titles.

It’s believed that King Charles’s "high affection" for his nieces led him to try and protect them from their parents’ fate. However, whilst they are not directly involved in the accusations being levelled against Andrew and Fergie regarding their association with Jeffrey Epstein, associating with them is a delicate issue for their wider family.

Royal expert Duncan Larcombe has suggested that Prince Harry and Meghan are "divided" over publicly supporting the York sisters, with the Duchess "very aware" of the sensitivities involved.

"Harry has always been close to Beatrice and Eugenie," he is quoted as saying. "They didn’t see a massive amount of each other growing up because they didn’t live very close to each other, but they’d always get together for Christmas at Sandringham."

Meghan has gone on to forge her own close bond with Harry’s cousins over the years, especially Eugenie, who’s been out to visit the Sussexes in California. Despite this, Duncan thinks there’s a "divide there" with her, adding "The Jeffrey Epstein situation is hugely sensitive, especially in America, and of course Epstein, Harvey Weinstein and Ghislaine Maxwell were photographed together at Beatrice’s 18th birthday."

In his view, media-savvy Meghan "will be very aware of the sensitivities" and "won’t want to be seen to be too sympathetic towards them, so will keep her distance". Duncan admits that behind closed doors things could be a little different, though.

"I don’t think she could object to Harry privately supporting them, but they will be on very different pages," he continued. "Neither Harry nor Meghan will want to be seen to be associated with Andrew or Sarah Ferguson. From Meghan’s point of view it’s probably a commercial thing, from Harry’s point of view it’s probably more of an emotional thing."

The York sisters have kept a low profile in recent weeks, as the King firstly confirmed that their father would no longer use his Duke of York title and then dealt the final blow of stripping him of his Princely title and his home at Royal Lodge.

Prince William is thought to have played a major part in these developments, with a reported meeting taking place between him, Beatrice and Eugenie over persuading Andrew to leave the Windsor residence.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s apparent “divide” over Eugenie and Beatrice surely isn’t the only one, as who knows how William’s relationship with the sisters is right now given the situation with their parents and his role in the decision.

Andrew continues to vehemently deny the accusations against him, though the scrutiny surrounding him shows no sign of slowing down. With Christmas just around the corner, many people will be keeping an eye out to see if Princess Eugenie and Beatrice celebrate with their parents or with the Royal Family.

Whichever choice they make, it will inevitably send a significant message.

In the aftermath of Prince Andrew relinquishing his Duke of York title the scrutiny and media attention has continued to surround the King’s disgraced younger brother. There have been calls for him to move out of Royal Lodge - the Windsor home he has shared with former wife Sarah Ferguson for over a decade.

The couple are understood to pay a peppercorn rent for the seven-bedroom property and it’s been suggested that Andrew and Sarah might move out after all. Prince William is said to have taken a particularly hard line with his uncle and according to journalist Emily Maitlis, he could allegedly have given his cousins an ultimatum.

As per the Daily Mail, Emily - who interviewed Andrew for Newsnight in 2019 - has claimed on The News Agents podcast that there was a "bit of pressure" applied to Beatrice and Eugenie to persuade their father to relocate.

"There was a question over whether there had been, earlier in the day, a meeting between Prince William and the Princesses, Beatrice and Eugenie, saying you guys have to get your dad to move out of Royal Lodge otherwise we will start re-examining the state of your own titles," she reportedly explained.

Emily went on to allege, "They are at the moment allowed to be princesses, but there was a bit of pressure, we understand, being put on the princesses to say this is going to happen. Obviously you can see why Andrew as a father would want to keep their daughters happy and keep their titles in place, come what may."

Whilst their father is no longer using his Duke of York title and their mother is no longer Duchess of York, Eugenie and Beatrice are still Princesses of York. Whether or not there was a meeting to discuss their parents leaving Royal Lodge remains unconfirmed, though the Prince of Wales is reportedly determined this should happen.

He, Kate and their children are moving from Adelaide Cottage imminently and their rumoured new "forever home" Forest Lodge is nearer to Royal Lodge. Speaking to the Daily Mail, a source recently claimed that the Princess "shudders at the thought of living so close" to Andrew.

"William wants him gone before they start to move in next week. It's not about what Andrew doesn't want to do anymore. It's about what he's going to be told to do," they added.

As per The Sun, Prince Andrew supposedly wants to move into Prince Harry and Meghan’s former UK home Frogmore Cottage and Sarah into Adelaide Cottage in return for leaving Royal Lodge. Technically these properties would both be vacant (once the Wales family moves), however they’re also well-known, close to Windsor Castle and strongly associated with the Waleses and Sussexes.

Amid reports that Prince William is "not satisfied" with his uncle giving up the Duke of York title and could ban him from "all elements of royal life" in the future, he might not want his uncle and Sarah to have two such prominent properties, with specific connections to his immediate family.

Wherever the former couple might live next, it’s likely that the palace would make an announcement confirming they are leaving Royal Lodge for good given the public interest in this matter.

King Charles might not have addressed his brother's statement directly since it was released, but he's said to have played a key role in the "discussion" which led to Prince Andrew's decision to give up his Duke of York title. The Prince will also no longer be a member of Britain's oldest and most senior chivalric order, the Order of the Garter.

He continues to "vigorously deny" the accusations made against him linked to his past associations with Jeffrey Epstein, though it was concluded that they were distracting from the Royal Family's work. Prince Andrew's choice means that he is voluntarily not using his York title, though it would take an act of parliament to strip it officially.

Until then, it remains dormant and it's alleged that King Charles "insisted" on this approach because of his "affection" for Andrew's daughters Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie.

According to The Telegraph, His Majesty has supposedly made it clear his nieces must be "protected" from the fall of their York parents. Whilst Prince Andrew and his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson will no longer be referred to as the Duke and Duchess of York, their daughters are still Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie of York.

The ending derives from their father's title, just like Prince George, Charlotte and Louis's full titles are 'of Wales' as the children of the Prince of Wales. The Telegraph claimed that King Charles is said to hold Eugenie and Beatrice in such "high affection" that he "insisted Andrew's titles should remain in abeyance" so his daughters could keep theirs.

It's also been suggested that the York sisters - unlike their parents - will still be invited to join the Royal Family for Christmas at Sandringham House.

Whether or not they will attend is another story, though Beatrice, her husband Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and stepson Wolfie went last year whilst Andrew and Sarah stayed in Windsor.

Reports have indicated Princess Eugenie and Beatrice are "utterly mortified" by the latest headlines surrounding their mum and dad. A source also alleged to The Telegraph, "[The York sisters] really are a credit to the Royal family. They haven't done anything to deserve what has happened. It's all of their parents' making."

Their uncle King Charles might not have made them working royals but his love and respect for his nieces is clear to see. Because of her place in the royal line of succession Princess Beatrice is one of her uncle's Counsellor of State and she also stepped in for him at the King's Foundation Future Textiles Exhibition in November 2024.

She and Eugenie are regularly seen at family gatherings, royal occasions and annual events like Royal Ascot and Buckingham Palace Garden Parties. If the claims that King Charles wants them to be "protected" from their parents' fall from grace are correct, then they might continue to be so due to his bond with them.

Their cousin Prince William is also close to the sisters, but when he ascends the throne he could reportedly be more "ruthless" with their father. It's been reported that he's "not satisfied" with the recent outcome and would want to "ban" Andrew from most royal events, including his coronation.

It’s not surprising that the royals love the best British clothing brands and have a luxurious collection of clothing and accessories. However, not everything they wear is designer or bespoke and when they’re shopping for affordable items Zara is a go-to destination for them.

The Princess of Wales has several boucle blazers from the Spanish high street store in her wardrobe and Princess Eugenie’s pleated midi is another stand-out Zara find. She just re-wore it as part of a all-black ensemble to a VIP preview of the Frieze Art Fair.

It’s easy to underestimate the part her Zara skirt played in this simple outfit, but a pleated skirt is one of those pieces that brings texture and elegance. This one was high-waisted and midi-length, with an elasticated waistband that kept Eugenie’s black jumper tucked neatly in.

We first saw Princess Eugenie wear this in March this year and then again in April and both times she styled it in exactly the same way with what looks to be the same jumper. An all-black look is always a chic option and the contrast of a soft knitted top against the swishy skirt was gorgeous.

This is key with a one-colour ensemble to give it definition and the pleats accentuated this. Because the Zara skirt was a dark colour the pleats were also more subtle and if you love a more minimalist look I’d advise sticking to deeper tones.

Neutrals are always a great option as they are so simple to style with different colours, though jewel tones are a stunning alternative. Combine a pleated skirt with a plain jumper and knee highs and you’ve got yourself a comfy date night outfit that looks put-together.

A burgundy, forest green or navy skirt would also be lovely when party season arrives. The King’s niece added a thin black belt to discreetly cover the join between her knit and skirt and this is something the Princess of Wales also does to create a seamless finish.

Eugenie’s burgundy Chloe Fay bag was the only pop of colour and she also wore a glimmering gold necklace and earrings. As autumn outfit ideas sparked by the royals go, this one can be recreated easily and affordably.

Sadly this specific Zara pleated skirt is no longer sold but thankfully this timeless design is one that you always see coming back for autumn/winter. There are plenty of options out there and you can add warmth and a trending element by layering over a suede jacket or trench.

When it gets colder a longline coat in a similar colour to your skirt would tie an outfit together and I wouldn’t be surprised if the Princess arrived for the VIP preview wearing a black coat of some sort. This is how she could style it in the winter and given she’s re-worn this high street skirt in virtually the same way three times publicly so far, it’s clearly a look she loves.

Her attendance at the preview comes just a few days after she stepped out in yet another staple midi skirt - her Ralph Lauren green satin one. You really can’t beat a good midi skirt and jumper combination in place of jeans this time of year.

Jeans and a jumper is one of those classic autumn combinations that will never let you down, but it isn’t the only style pairing that’s worth wearing on repeat. A midi skirt with an elasticated waistband ticks the box for comfort as well as style and if you want something even more chic, Princess Eugenie just took things up a notch.

The King’s niece recently visited Springfield University Hospital and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust and brought back her gorgeous green Ralph Lauren skirt. Crafted from satin, this is a stunning staple and Eugenie made it more casual with a black cardigan and knee high boots.

This is a simple way to style a satin slip skirt and feels instantly smarter than jeans thanks to the material. The sheen of satin has a beautiful sheen and this adds a glamorous edge to any outfit.

Princess Eugenie’s skirt fell to an elegant midi length and has an A-line silhouette. Although satin skirts come in various shapes, I think something sleeker like this - or a column skirt - complements the drape of the fabric best.

Sadly for anyone who wants to add the royal’s skirt to their own collection, Ralph Lauren no longer makes this particular colour. However, this season you can get the Satin Charmeuse Midi in taupe or lavender-pink which are two of the biggest autumn/winter fashion colour trends.

The taupe would be my personal pick as neutral colours are more versatile. Princess Eugenie’s choice of a holly-green skirt is a lovely alternative too. Earthy green, rust orange, chocolate brown and burgundy all scream autumn-winter and aren’t overly vibrant.

Eugenie styled her satin skirt with a black button-up cardigan worn as a top, but you could choose a black jumper or long-sleeved T-shirt instead. To make a skirt like hers into more of a date night outfit or occasionwear look, go for a more streamlined knit, blouse or a cami top.

That’s the beauty of a satin skirt - elasticated waistbands are incredibly comfortable and the design can be easily dressed up or down. The Princess wore hers with black Penelope Chilvers knee high boots with a chunky block heel.

Earlier this year she stepped out for a visit to the Teenage Cancer Trust Unit at UCL wearing tan suede boots with this skirt instead and something like these would also work for autumn.

On a colder day you could layer over a longline black or camel coat and add a matching scarf for a cohesive, cosy ensemble. Princess Eugenie didn’t need this inside and her satin skirt look had real impact and yet wasn’t too much for a daytime visit.

The art-loving royal viewed different works created as part of an initiative by Hospital Rooms. This charity brings art into NHS mental health hospitals and helps to make welcoming and uplifting spaces for patients. Eugenie wasn’t the only royal who visited and saw the artwork this October, as she was joined by Princess Rajwa al Hussein of Jordan.

Christmas at Sandringham House takes a lot of planning, especially given how many royals gather for the festivities. The King hosts most of the family there but it’s already been suggested that there are two royals who we likely won’t see this December.

As reported by The Sunday Times, His Majesty has reportedly "signalled" that Prince Andrew, Duke of York and Sarah, Duchess of York, would not be welcome to join him for Christmas. A source close to the King claimed to the publication that Andrew and Sarah choosing not to go would save the King from making "more difficult decisions".

"You can’t sack someone from being your brother. But this year, if the Duke and Duchess were both to be as honourable [as last year, when they didn’t attend], it would be very much for the best and the family would not be disappointed, not least to avoid the King having to make any more difficult decisions," they alleged.

These reports come in the wake of the latest scandal to embroil the Yorks - the publication of a 2011 email from the Duchess to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Sarah’s spokesperson told The Telegraph that it was sent in the "context of advice" after Epstein allegedly threatened to sue her over comments made about him.

Multiple charities have cut ties with Prince Andrew’s former wife since the email became public and only a few months earlier a shocking joint biography of the Yorks was released, which once again put them front and centre of negative headlines.

A friend of the King claimed to The Sunday Times that whilst the monarch is "not of the mind to banish someone" from worshipping at church or attending family occasions "he would hope they would find a more discreet way of attending these events". Instead, the source adds that in Andrew’s case "he seems to relish the prospect of not being low-key about it".

Prince Andrew and Sarah were very prominent at the Duchess of Kent’s funeral in September and King Charles supposedly wishes they’d be "invisible" going forwards. All of this would make their absence from Christmas at Sandringham make sense.

However, if they don’t go to Norfolk, what could this mean for their daughters, Princess Beatrice and Eugenie? Last year Beatrice celebrated with the royals and Eugenie with her in-laws whilst Andrew and Fergie spent Christmas in Windsor and kept a low profile amid news about the Duke’s association with an alleged Chinese spy.

It’s possible that after everything, Andrew and Sarah won’t be attending a royal Christmas for a very long time to come. In that case, it’s surely unthinkable that Beatrice and Eugenie will always spend the festivities separately from their parents but their decision this year a few months after the email scandal will be all-important.

Whether they stay away from Sandringham and celebrate with their parents instead or do the opposite, it could be seen as sending a message, intentionally or not. Royal author Phil Dampier has claimed to the Daily Mail that Beatrice and Eugenie are in a "very difficult" position if Sarah and Andrew either choose not to go, or aren’t invited.

"They may feel it would be unfair of them to go when their parents aren’t there and it simply rubs salt in their wounds," he said. 'The King has a soft spot for both Beatrice and Eugenie and feels sorry for the situation they are in. So it’s a real dilemma for him and one he could do without."

Princess Eugenie has said that she thinks her scoliosis scar is "really cool" as it's a "tangible" reminder of the struggles she went through with the condition, which causes the spine to curve sideways.

The Princess underwent corrective surgery at the age of 12, and previously admitted she felt shame over her scoliosis scar in childhood. But subsequent years has seen her become very open about her experience and proud to show off her scar that runs down the middle of her back.

"I think it's cool as a reminder to say 'yeah, you did that!' – it's really tangible," Princess Eugenie said in an Instagram video posted on Scoliosis Support & Research page. "You know, sometimes, these scars are really internal, really mental things that we can't explain. But wearing something on your sleeve like that is really cool, I think."

And it doesn't have to be a life-changing scar from a life-changing moment. She explained, "It's like a story of your life. I've got a scar on my hand from a dog bite but it reminds me of that holiday we went on when I was four years old - you know what I mean?"

But a scar like her scoliosis one, with so much suffering and pain behind it, has a special meaning for her. "I think the scar for me reminds me of something enormous to overcome when you're just hitting puberty, when you're going through schooling life, when you're trying to fit in," she said.

Her scar was on full show on her wedding day back in 2018, with the photo of her in her dress quickly becoming one of the most iconic royal wedding pictures ever.

"Princess Eugenie made a deliberate decision to wear a low-backed dress for her wedding," says woman&home's Royal Editor Emma Shacklock. "It was such a significant choice that helped to get rid of the taboo around scars and showed that they're nothing whatsoever to be ashamed of."

Not only are brides like Emily, the interviewer Eugenie was speaking to in the video, being inspired to follow in her footsteps and show off their scars with backless wedding gowns. But mothers of young children about to have the same surgery as Eugenie are finding their worries reduced by the Princess's bravery to put her scar in the spotlight.

"A few people since [the wedding], mainly mums of really young people who are having surgery, have said 'Oh we saw what you did and it was so cool'," she said.

The Princess went on to say she didn't realise how big of an impact it would have, but she's glad that she's inspiring people the way that others with scars have inspired her.

She explained, "I just think scars tell a story about your life. If you think about what people go through, like Paralympians, and what they do on the world stage. [And there's] The Invictus Games and all these people that have overcome absolute atrocities and wear their scars with pride, like a badge of honour. And the same goes for these operations that young people [with scoliosis] go through."

She's the first to admit that it's not as simple as deciding to embrace and love a scar, though. "It's so easy to feel ashamed and want to hide and not want to talk about it," she said. "You want to be like everyone else and people make jokes."

But, she hopes that everyone grows to love whatever marks their skin as, she said, "I personally think [scars] are all so beautiful."

Princess Eugenie definitely saved the best till last at this year’s Ascot as she stepped out on the final day wearing a fabulous fiery-red frock. It immediately caught my eye amongst a sea of pastel dresses and I was even more intrigued when I discovered it was a £199 design by British clothing brand, Whistles.

Although the royals do love mixing high street and high-end pieces, their Ascot looks are often very luxurious. It was refreshing to see Princess Eugenie wearing arguably one of the best summer dresses of the season with a more modest price tag.

The Twist Neck Crepe Midi Dress has a fit-and-flare silhouette that accentuates the waist and a beautiful twisted neckline with a subtle keyhole detail. This design is incredibly timeless and sophisticated, which made it perfect for the races.

However, although it’s on the formal side, the relaxed short sleeves and crepe fabric mean that you could also dress it down a little more as part of a smart-casual outfit. The colour is also sensational for so many different summer events, from garden parties to BBQs and date nights.

Princess Eugenie doesn’t wear red that often and the Whistles dress is a chilli-red with a hint of orange to it. This makes it more warm-toned, which looks so stunning on a bright, sunny day.

Such a statement shade can feel a little daunting to style, but red is one of those colours that I think is far more versatile than you think. It looks great with blue and white, so denim jeans or skirts work well with red tops.

You could also throw a denim jacket on with a dress like Princess Eugenie’s if the weather is cooler. Metallics and neutral hues like taupe and tan complement the warmth of red and many of us already have staple heels and bags in our collection in these colours.

This includes the King’s niece, who brought out her Aquazzura Bow Tie Pumps for the second time at Royal Ascot 2025. She wore them to the races several times last year too and these luxury heels are made from soft suede.

She carried an M2Malletier Amor Fati bag with its distinctive bar-shaped top handle strap. To match her chilli-red dress, the royal wore a red Emily London Newmarket Hat secured over her shoulder-length hair, which she left loose.

This ensemble showcased how to style vibrant colours in an elegant way and was one of my favourite royal looks from Ascot this year. To make it less dressy, I’d swap the heels for sleek flat sandals or plimsoll trainers and add a crossbody bag.

There are some necklines I’m instantly drawn to and others - like halternecks - that I need a bit of inspiration to try on. When you’re not sure what to wear in the heat, the breezier a design the better, and halternecks often fit into this category.

The lack of sleeves is the most obvious plus point and this neckline also feels quite vintage and chic. Knowing how to style halternecks isn’t something I’m an expert in, so it was great to see Princess Eugenie showing how it's done.

As Global Ambassador for The Coral Collective, the King’s niece attended the exclusive opening of the Thirty Six For Coral art exhibition in France on 12th June. Just like many of us, she wasn’t afraid to re-wear a tried and tested combination for the event: her Rebecca Vallance orchid dress and Staud satin mules.

This was the same stylish combination Princess Eugenie wore to Chelsea Flower Show in May and I wouldn’t be surprised if the dress and slip-ons get another chance to shine this summer too. Although she often champions the best British clothing brands, Rebecca Vallance is an Australian designer whose pieces are also regularly worn by the royals.

Made from a linen blend, it has a collared neckline with structured lapels that give it a refined edge. The bodice is fitted and the midi-length skirt flares out into an elegant silhouette.

Running all over the white base is a pattern of electric blue orchids and vines that bring added brightness. Part of why I love the Princess’s frock so much is because it feels sophisticated, whereas some halterneck pieces can be a bit too revealing or beachy-casual.

I can imagine this as a date night outfit, as well as something you could wear to a family BBQ or a garden party. When you’re looking for a halterneck dress, consider something that has a classic shape like fit-and-flare or A-line, and is generally neutral in colour.

The white background tone of Princess Eugenie’s dress balances the blue flowers and I’d recommend following a similar approach. If you choose a halterneck dress which is mainly black, white or a tone you wear consistently, you’ll always be able to find accessories that complement the outfit.

To make it slightly more relaxed the royal could have worn trainers but she went for camel satin heels from Straud. Kitten heeled mules were a clever pairing as they are comfortable and quick to slip on and off and yet look quite glamorous.

Princess Eugenie painted her toenails red and they were just visible through the peep-toe cut-out. The warm weather required a breathable outfit and she spoke at the launch of the exhibition, which coincided with the UN Oceans Conference.

Her Royal Highness is a member of the Thirty Six For Coral art committee and helped to shape the exhibition, which includes 36 original works from artists including Rocco Ritchie and Vik Muniz. The online auction is running until 22nd June and proceeds go to support coral reef protection and global restoration efforts.

Speaking to Marie Claire, Princess Eugenie described coral reefs as the "rainforest of the sea" that "support billions of human lives".

"Across the planet, coral reefs are in trouble. The loss of coral reefs could be the first functional climate extinction in our lifetime," she declared.

The King’s niece was announced as a mentor for the King’s Foundation 35 under 35 programme and met some of the network at Garrison Chapel last week. They’re currently hosting their 35th anniversary exhibition and Princess Eugenie, who turned 35 in March, described it as an "honour" to mark this milestone.

She and the King’s Foundation jointly shared a video of her visit and she was wearing a simple navy midi dress with a glimmering gold necklace. I’d usually wear cool-toned silver jewellery with blue but I’ve been convinced to try it.

The combination worked so well and the richness of the navy was echoed in the warmth of the gold. The Princess’s dress was sleeveless with a modest rounded neckline and something with this elegant shape would be perfect if you’re not sure what to wear to a wedding.

The bodice was fitted and the skirt flared out with a beautiful amount of volume. It fell to just above Princess Eugenie’s ankles which meant her champagne satin peep-toe mules weren’t obscured and got a moment to shine too.

If, like me, you wear a lot of black clothing but want something a little softer for summer then navy blue should be on your radar. It’s a colour that seems trickier to style than it actually is.

I would advise keeping the rest of your outfit quite light and going for beiges, creams, whites and tans, as these shades lift navy blue and don’t fight the boldness of the colour. Metallics are in many ways just as neutral and the royal went for gold jewellery to match her shoes.

It’s hard to make out in the video, though it seems as if Princess Eugenie’s necklace had one or two gold discs as the pendant. Either way, the charm was suspended from a gold chain and lay neatly over the top of her dress’s bodice.

This made the contrast of the shiny gold against the dark blue even more striking. Gold-toned jewellery tends to feel more traditional than silver and so her choice of necklace was a great pairing with the classic design of her dress.

Princess Eugenie could easily have layered different necklaces together, however I think her outfit had more impact styled this way. She also wore a pair of gold hoop earrings to bring an extra touch of glamour to this smart-casual outfit.

Both they and the necklace are exactly the kind of jewellery I’d happily wear everyday as they’re understated. Now I’ve seen how good gold looks with navy blue, I’ll also be trying this myself and I hope to see Eugenie re-wear elements of this ensemble.

She is one of four mentors for the 35 under 35 network, which is a group of young people working to promote the change King Charles wants to see in the world. They are focused on sustainability, traditional crafts and the arts.

"I’m delighted to be working with this group of exceptional young people who have been selected thanks to their outstanding work in areas The King is passionate about," Princess Eugenie said of her role as mentor. "Given I recently celebrated my 35th birthday, it’s fitting to take part in the charity’s 35th anniversary celebrations and share my passion for art with the 35 under 35."

In 2016 she and Princess Beatrice became Honorary Patrons of Teenage Cancer Trust and on 23rd April they and their mother Sarah, Duchess of York visited the unit at University College London Hospital.

April is Teenage and Young Adult Cancer Awareness Month and Princess Eugenie met with young people and their families, as well as NHS nurses and youth workers. It was so poignant and she struck the perfect styling balance of looking polished, but not detracting in any way from the work she was there to highlight.

This isn’t easy to do and it’s perhaps no surprise that if anyone was going to be an expert at it, it’s Princess Eugenie. She has given me so many spring outfit ideas already this year and her satin skirt and short sleeved jumper is yet another one to add to my list.

The skirt is a Ralph Lauren design that’s sadly sold out in the ‘botanical green’ colourway she has, but it’s still available in powder blue and navy. The sheen of satin always makes a garment feel extra special and luxurious.

Because of this, I often reach for a satin skirt when I want to create a comfortable smart-casual outfit that will see me from day to night. They work well with a t-shirt tucked in or a chunky jumper draped over the top.

Princess Eugenie went for something in between these two top options. Her white crewneck jumper was a cashmere piece from Theory with short sleeves ending in ribbed cuffs.

The King’s niece loosely tucked her knit into her skirt to create a relaxed drape that felt very chic. Although knitwear is the last thing most of us want to wear as soon as spring arrives, there’s no denying that in the UK it’s often still an essential.

Going for a short sleeved jumper instead is a lovely way to still feel like you’re dressing for the season, but you aren’t compromising on warmth. Paler shades like white, ecru or camel are versatile and also have a springlike edge.

The soft creamy shade of Eugenie’s jumper looked so gorgeous against her muted green skirt and she kept to the neutral theme with her footwear. She styled her clothes with a pair of Penelope Chilvers suede knee high boots.

The warm undertones in the tan colour complemented the rest of her outfit and going for longer boots is a simple way to elongate your silhouette.

To make a look like Princess Eugenie’s more low-key, I’d swap boots for white trainers or loafers. However, the heeled design of the royal’s boots meant they were quite formal and this was very appropriate for her significant visit as Teenage Cancer Trust’s Patron.

The next day she took to Instagram to thank everyone for having her, Princess Beatrice and the Duchess of York.

Princess Eugenie expressed gratitude for people sharing their "stories and hope" with them and reflected upon how important it is to "shine a light on the charity’s vital work, and the unique challenges young people with cancer face".

The T12 Teenage and Young Adult Unit at UCLH provides care for up to 20 patients aged between 13-19 and is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year.

Zara and Princess Eugenie were clearly on the same page when it came to their outfits for Day 2 of the 2025 Cheltenham Festival as they arrived at the annual racing event looking sensational in maroon. No-one could fail to notice the popularity of burgundy in recent months but the royal cousins proved this rich red colour has a place in a spring capsule wardrobe too. That wasn’t the only style lesson we’ve learnt from their latest looks, as they showed exactly how to master occasionwear.

Date night outfits can be as casual or elevated as you like, but when a dress code calls for something more formal, we’ll be following the approach taken by Zara and Princess Eugenie. Both royals went for timeless silhouettes with a focus on tailoring and one key colour.

Princess Eugenie wore a maxi length burgundy coat with crisp lapels, gold-toned buttons and a double-breasted design. This was the focus of her ensemble on Day 2 of Cheltenham and although Zara didn’t reach for a coat herself, her longline blazer had a similar, put-together feel. It was also double-breasted and the pinstripes highlighted its gorgeous structure.

She coordinated her jacket to her wide-leg pinstriped trousers to create a smart suit that reminded us of her navy blue and burgundy outfit from Day 2 of the races last year. This could have looked very workwear-esque with a shirt underneath, but the King’s niece opted for a contrasting maroon jumper which lifted the colour palette and made it more chic.

This gorgeous knit perfectly matched the shade of Princess Eugenie’s coat and Zara’s cousin also wore a high neckline with her collared outerwear. Her top was black, making her and Zara’s outfits almost an exact inverse of the other’s colourwise. Both went for black boots and burgundy headpieces, with Zara choosing a flamboyant, fun design that balanced the crispness of her tailored suit and Eugenie wearing a timeless pillar box style hat.

Although at first glance Zara and Princess Eugenie’s outfits couldn’t be more different aside from the maroon items, they actually used a lot of the same building blocks. Even if you never set foot at the races, their style is great inspiration for smarter events. As well as incorporating tailoring, they went for generally very pared-back staples and chose to showcase one main colour.

Aside from burgundy the cousins stepped out in very neutral tones of grey and black, which allowed the rich red to shine even more in contrast. If you’ve ever wondered what colour suits you and discounted burgundy, then it’s definitely one to consider as it works well with beige, black, white and brown as well as denim. Even if you’re not a fan, then it’s still worth going for just one pop of colour when you’re dressing for a special occasion as it’s simpler and very striking.

The Royal Family are experts at formal styling and these Cheltenham outfits could be worn for an evening out or event during the daytime. Zara’s look in particular won’t be the last outfit we see from her during the festival as the equestrian royal tends to attend most days. Last year Princess Eugenie also joined Zara on Day 2 - known as Style Wednesday - and both looked every bit as elegant then.

The life of a working royal means many public appearances. Though they're perhaps not as high profile as the Princess of Wales or Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie are no stranger to the spotlight – and have had some gorgeous hair and makeup moments over the years.

Indeed, between them, the pair have attended film premieres, weddings and even the star-studded Met Gala over the years, with the hair and makeup to match it.

Designed by Diane von Furstenberg, the £460 Mallery dress is selling out fast and we can certainly see why as this is surely one of the best wedding guest dresses as well as being a stand-out item for any other special occasion. 

Princess Eugenie’s dress is made from crepe and has a button-fastening keyhole detail at the front with the wrapover cut. The keyhole is incredibly subtle and modest but adds a contemporary touch to this otherwise very timeless design.

The fitted bodice is flattering and the skirt drapes down into a midi length skirt on Princess Eugenie. The original dress is described as maxi, suggesting that the King’s niece perhaps had hers tailored to ensure it was perfect for her day at Ascot.

Not quite sleeveless, this dress is the perfect piece to have in your occasion wear wardrobe and the colour has totally captured our hearts. The soft mint green is totally in-keeping with the many pastel shades that are the biggest spring/summer fashion colour trends for 2024. 

Whilst pastel green might often be overlooked as a go-to colour for many people, it’s fresh and makes a statement without being overwhelmingly bold. It looks stunning with denim pieces, though the royal’s Ascot outfit also showcased how well it works with neutral accessories.

Princess Eugenie’s mint green dress looked sensational with her ivory accessories which included her favourite clutch of the moment - the sold-out Anya Hindmarch Maud plaited clutch. She recently wore this to the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Westminster and it probably won’t be the last we see of this staple this summer.

The woven finish adds texture to any look and the gold-toned hardware accentuated the understated glamour of Princess Eugenie’s outfit. She coordinated her bag with her Aquazzura Bow Tie 85 Beige Suede Pumps and no royal’s Ascot look would be complete without a hat. Hers was by Emily London Headwear and was a similar ivory shade.

Princess Eugenie even kept to the green and ivory theme with her very sentimental earring choice as she opted for the diamond and emerald drop earrings she wore on her wedding day in 2018. These are said to have been designed by her husband Jack Brooksbank and matched the emerald and diamond Kokoshnik Tiara she wore for their big day. The deep green of the emeralds was a brilliant contrast with the paler green of Princess Eugenie’s dress, whilst remaining in the same colour palette. 

Her Royal Ascot outfit was the epitome of sophistication and we can’t help hoping that she, like many of her family members, will be attending the races more than once this year. If she does, we wouldn’t be surprised to see her bring back some of her key neutral accessories alongside another equally fabulous dress.

Royal weddings are always a sight to behold with everything from the brides’ gowns to the floral arrangements capturing the world’s attention. For fashion lovers they’re also a brilliant opportunity to see some stand-out looks and though there hasn’t been a royal wedding for a while, we’ve just been treated to the next best thing. The wedding of the Duke of Westminster to Olivia Henson took place on 7th June in Chester and it’s the society wedding of the year. 

Prince William was an Usher and Princess Eugenie was one of the guests and wore one of the best wedding guest dresses we’ve seen in a while. Her dress was the Dubois plissé Midi Dress from Joseph and it’s no surprise that it’s selling out fast on Mytheresa, with low stock in many sizes.

The brand recommends sizing down and this dress features a beautifully fitted bodice that flares out into a pleated shirt. It also has an asymmetric hem and the contrast between the detailed skirt and the very minimalist top half of Princess Eugenie’s olive green dress is stunning. 

Long sleeves and a modest v-neckline are so classic and mean that this dress would also work perfectly for an autumn or winter occasion, perhaps layered with a long coat over the top. No outerwear was needed for Princess Eugenie on this sunny June day and we can’t help admiring the olive green shade of her wedding guest outfit. 

We often see the King’s niece wearing neutral or bright tones but this was a middle ground between the two and it’s far easier to wear than you might imagine. The earthiness of the colour ensured it wasn’t too statement for an occasion like this and the fabric softened it even more. 

To dress it down, Princess Eugenie could easily put on a pair of her best white trainers and a leather or denim jacket, but for a wedding nude-beige accessories were the ideal choice. She stepped out in a pair of Aquazzurra Matilde pumps with the crossover detail and this is the same shoe design as Meghan Markle wore in the pictures announcing her and Prince Harry’s engagement in 2017. 

Sadly, it seems as though they’ve been discontinued since, but Princess Eugenie clearly treasures her beige pair as a staple heel in her collection. They have all the timelessness of a court shoe with more of a fun feel thanks to the crossover strap.

Her bag for the wedding struck a similar balance of classic and contemporary and was the Maud leather woven clutch by Anya Hindmarch. This had all the texture of a raffia bag but the durability of leather and the ‘bone’ colour is a versatile option to pair with outfits in other hues.

Given that this was a formal occasion Princess Eugenie decided to wear a headpiece and tied her whole look together by choosing a cream hat to match her bag. Crafted by Emily-London, the Sabina pillbox hat has a beret-like stalk at the top and a small amount of netting that comes down over the face. The royal had a side-swept hair for the Duke and new Duchess of Westminster’s wedding and wore her tresses in loose curls underneath the netting.

A few subtle gold jewellery pieces finished off the look and Princess Eugenie’s olive green dress has certainly inspired us to add more of this colour to our wardrobe.

Princess Eugenie has shared heart-warming unseen photos for son Ernest's first birthday and the last one is definitely our favourite.

Princess Eugenie has followed in Prince William and Kate’s footsteps once again and shared some adorable new photos of her second son Ernest in honour of his 1st birthday on 30th May. It’s become something of a royal tradition for the Wales family to share new pictures of Prince George, Charlotte and Louis on their birthday and Princess Eugenie loves to do this for her children and husband Jack Brooksbank too. However, her latest social media post is perhaps even more exciting as we’ve only ever seen a few rare glimpses of Ernest since he was born.

The proud mum-of-two shared a series of snaps featuring Ernest, beginning with one of him sitting outside wearing a football shirt. Looking off to the side, this is the closest fans have come to seeing his face as Princess Eugenie and Jack ensure their sons have a high level of privacy and generally share pictures with them facing away from the camera.

Other pictures show Ernest wearing a hoodie with his name on and at Easter sitting in the grass by daffodils. It’s the last picture in this new post that is definitely our favourite, though, as it shows Ernest alongside three-year-old August. The boys are at the Natural History Museum and August is leaning over to give his brother a kiss on the cheek.

This interaction is so sweet and echoes one the first pictures of Ernest that Princess Eugenie ever shared which featured August gently touching his brother’s head. At the time she revealed that August was "loving being a big brother already" and he's clearly just as besotted with Ernest now.

"One year of you my dear Ernest. Happy birthday!!" Princess Eugenie wrote alongside the new pictures. "We all love you so much, especially your enormous smile you give the world.. but you always save an extra special one for Mumma."

Fans were quick to wish Ernest, who is 13th in the royal line of succession, a happy birthday, with many of them also thanking Princess Eugenie for posting the photos.

"Happy Birthday Ernest! What lovely pictures - Thank you for sharing them with us," one person commented whilst another agreed with us on our favourite photo, writing, "Happy Birthday little dude. The last photo is so precious!"

A third person added, "Very cute. He looks like Mummy, from the little we can see."

Princess Eugenie’s unseen photos of Ernest come a few months after she shared another rare glimpse of him in honour of Mother’s Day in March. In the picture she could be seen holding Ernest up in the air and beaming at him as she described her boys as the “best gift of all”.

Speaking on the Table Manners podcast with Jessie and Lennie Ware, Princess Eugenie previously described Ernest as a "magic" sleeper. She also confessed that whilst she “loved” boarding school and Jack went from the age of 8, she wants to make the most of her time with Ernest and August at home.

"My husband went to boarding school at 8. Looking at my sons now, I want to hang out with them. I like playing with them. I don't want them to leave,” she said.

Ernest will likely be enjoying his first birthday with Princess Eugenie, Jack and August. The one-year-old has yet to make his first public appearance at a royal event and many fans will no doubt be eagerly hoping this special moment comes in the not-too-distant future.

Royal brides' "something blue" aren't always noticeable but plenty of royal weddings have included sweet blue details.

Royal weddings are always iconic occasions with plenty of special moments, from the first sight of the dress to the spectacular floral arrangements. In recent years fans have been treated to multiple royal weddings as many of the late Queen Elizabeth’s grandchildren have tied the knot. Each of these ceremonies was incredibly personal and it seems that several of the royal brides wanted to uphold the tradition of having something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue. 

This saying can be traced back to an Old English rhyme from the Victorian era which has another detail - a sixpence in your shoe. Whilst it’s not surprising that the Princess of Wales probably didn’t stick to that one, she and other royals are understood to have incorporated "something blue" into their days. If you’ve ever been curious about royal brides’ "something blue", then here’s all you need to know about these largely unseen details.

The Princess of Wales

Everything from who Kate’s bridesmaids were to who designed her magnificent wedding dress has attracted interest from fans over the years, but her choice of "something blue" is just as intriguing. According to British Vogue, the now-Princess of Wales reportedly had a secret blue ribbon sewn into her Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen dress. 

This wasn’t something that we could have seen on the wedding day but if this was the case, then it was also a lovely tribute to her late mother-in-law Princess Diana who took a similar approach when it came to her something blue. Equally, Kate’s engagement ring with its iconic deep blue sapphire could also have counted as another "something blue" - and as it was once Princess Diana’s ring, this would also be a sweet nod to her.  

Meghan Markle

Meghan Markle’s wedding dress designed by Clare Waight Keller also had a hidden "something blue" and this was something that the Duchess of Sussex herself later confirmed. Speaking on the 2018 ITV documentary, Queen of the World, Meghan explained that they had sewn in a piece of blue fabric from a dress she’d worn on her first date with Prince Harry.

"Somewhere in here, there’s a piece of blue fabric that’s stitched inside - it was my something blue," Meghan shared. "It’s fabric from the dress I wore on our first date."

She didn’t specifically reveal where it was sewn in but later on in 2023, Clare Waight Keller claimed to Vanity Fair that it had been stitched into the hem of Meghan’s wedding dress, ensuring that she was the "only one" that knew it was there. 

She added that the dress the fabric had been taken from had a "little blue gingham check" design. Just like her sister-in-law, the choice to add blue material as her "something blue" could be seen as a tribute to Princess Diana and Meghan also went on to wear her late mother-in-law’s stunning aquamarine ring to her wedding reception.

Zara Tindall

Interestingly, Zara Tindall’s "something blue" is something that seems to have broken royal protocol - but in the best way! She tied the knot with Mike Tindall in Scotland just a few months after the Prince and Princess of Wales’s wedding and although fans didn’t get a glimpse of her feet underneath her Stewart Parvin wedding gown, she apparently had "bright electric blue" nail polish on her toes for her special day. The equestrian royal revealed this fun detail during an interview with The Times a month afterwards when she was still wearing the same colour.

"Yeeess," she said, apparently "wiggling her toes" in her brightly coloured Havaianas flip-flops. "I got married with them this colour. It was my ‘something blue’." 

Having electric blue toenails might not be many royal brides’ "something blue" of choice and it seemingly goes against a royal beauty protocol. During the late Queen Elizabeth’s reign she supposedly favoured pinky-nude shades of nail polish with a more natural finish. Although it wasn’t necessarily an official rule that had to be followed, her preferences are something that many other royal women tended to stick to as well. 

Zara’s choice to wear bright blue polish on her toes brought a playful and personal touch to her wedding day, whilst she opted for a soft pinky shade on her fingernails, having the best of both worlds.

Princess Eugenie

For her autumn wedding in 2018, Princess Eugenie’s "something blue" appears to have been the blue thistles in her bouquet. These bold blooms made an instant statement as soon as she arrived at St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle for the ceremony and a thistle was the biggest flower in Jack Brooksbank’s buttonhole for their wedding too. Surrounded by otherwise all-white flowers in Princess Eugenie’s bouquet, the blue thistles stood out all the more and were the only obviously blue detail in her wedding day look. 

Although it’s possible that she also had a more subtle or secret "something blue" included in her dress or another part of her outfit, the blue flowers seem the most likely candidate to fit in with this part of the rhyme. Thistles are also the national flower of Scotland, whose national flag is blue and white, and her choice could’ve been a lovely nod to her family’s Scottish heritage.

Princess Diana

Like both of her daughters-in-law, Princess Diana went down the blue fabric route when it came to her "something borrowed". She is said to have had a blue bow sewn inside the bodice of her Elizabeth and David Emmanuel dress which was her "something blue".

Her "something old" was the antique lace from Queen Mary that also featured on the gown and as another little good luck charm, Princess Diana apparently had a 18 carat gold, diamond-studded horseshoe trinket sewn into her dress too.

Did Queen Elizabeth have something blue at her wedding?

Unlike so many other royal brides, Queen Elizabeth isn’t believed to have had a "something blue" at her wedding to Prince Philip in 1947 and there was certainly nothing obviously blue in her outfit. However, whilst she might not have had a blue good luck charm incorporated into her wedding look, as per the BBC she did have a secret detail embroidered on to her coronation dress. The designer, Norman Hartnell, secretly added an extra four leaf clover on the skirt for good luck.

Queen Elizabeth also used to favour wearing shades of blue to the weddings of her nearest and dearest. This included Princess Margaret’s wedding to Antony Armstrong-Jones, Princess Anne’s first wedding to Captain Mark Phillips, King Charles’s wedding to Princess Diana, Prince Andrew’s wedding to Sarah Ferguson and then the weddings of Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice.

Knitwear is such a staple part of autumn and winter outfits, but Princess Eugenie’s just showcased how knitted pieces can be a key part of your spring capsule wardrobe too. She embraced one of the biggest spring/summer fashion colour trends of 2024 at her latest appearance when she stepped out  for a reception and panel discussion in a gorgeous dove-grey dress. Grey was everywhere across the catwalks and Princess Eugenie’s knitted dress was a beautiful example of how this neutral tone is not one to be overlooked. 

The piece was the rather luxurious £1,550 Amor Knit Dress from Gabriela Hearst in the shade heather grey, though you can easily recreate this look more affordably. Crafted from cashmere and silk, Princess Eugenie’s dress had short sleeves, a collar and a self-covered button placket.

Although many of us might have jumper dresses in our winter wardrobe, the short sleeves of this one make it much more spring-appropriate. The collar is such a timeless detail that also adds a level of formality.

This more professional feel was ideal given that Princess Eugenie was attending a reception and panel discussion on the fashion industry’s commitment to sustainability. This was co-hosted by the United States’s Ambassador to the UK, Jane Hartley, and Hearst and it took place at the American Ambassador’s Residence in London.

The silhouette of Princess Eugenie’s knitted dress was incredibly flattering and it also had a panel section which accentuated her waist. The ribbed detailing extended right down into the skirt and gave it a lovely sense of movement. Although grey might not seem as enticing as pastels in spring, she showed that this is such a stunning neutral and a great alternative to wearing black if you want a lighter colour palette for the season.

According to Woman&Home's Digital Fashion Editor, Caroline Parr, a ribbed knitted dress could easily become a “go-to” this season. She believes that Princess Eugenie’s elegant dress would also work brilliantly with more casual accessories like some of the best white trainers.

“Gabriela Hearst is a good choice for a sustainability event, but what I really love about this look is its versatility. A rib knit dress will become your go-to during that tricky transition between seasons - particularly in timeless grey - and the polo collar gives it a sports luxe spin,” she explained. “Eugenie kept it elegant by adding Gianvito Rossi heels and a Strathberry bag, but you could just as easily team a similar rib knit midi with trainers and a roomy tote for a day at the office.”

The Princess wore the praline suede Gianvito Rossi 105 Pumps which gave the overall look a sense of sophistication. Later on in the day she attended a private party in honour of Ellie Goulding x SERVED at the Royal Albert Hall and wore the same dress and shoes with the addition of a £445 Strathberry Lana Osette bag. The vanilla/tan shade couldn’t have been more perfect with the warm neutrals of her dress and shoes.

If you’re in love with Princess Eugenie’s knitted dress look but aren’t quite sure about the grey colour, then there are so many options available right now in equally fabulous light neutrals like soft beige and camel. Alternatively if the spring weather isn’t quite warm enough for you to want to wear short sleeves quite yet then lighter knitted dresses with long sleeves can be styled with trainers or loafers for a spring-time feel.

Princess Eugenie’s latest appearance has got to be one of her best yet, arriving at Paris Fashion Week in all-black Fendi. 

Eugenie’s best looks over the years have always delivered style inspiration, and her newest ensemble is arguably her best yet. The Princess' eye-catching outfit, which paired a classic black dress, sling-back heels and a stunning menswear-inspired tuxedo coat, is a masterclass in building a capsule wardrobe. 

Sitting front row for the Friday (January 19) Dior Homme show, Eugenie effortlessly showed how menswear-inspired fashion can be added to a woman's wardrobe to create a beautiful and timeless look. 

The outfit came entirely from luxury Italian fashion house Fendi – key pieces include the straight cut tuxedo coat we can't take our eyes off, and a pair of Fendi First black leather high-heeled sling backs that are equally eye-catching.

Sitting front row alongside the likes of cult figure Amanda Lear (thought to be the inspiration for Absolutely Fabulous character, Patsy Stone) and French filmmaker Nicolas Maury, Princess Eugenie paired her all-black look with equally dramatic makeup. A sultry dark lip and prominent eyeliner complemented her black palette perfectly.

While it might seem peculiar to attend a Dior show wearing all Fendi, Eugenie certainly knows her fashion. Kim Jones is the creative director for both Dior Homme and Fendi’s womenswear lines.

Comments on the Royal Fashion Police Instagram account were full of praise for Eugenie’s chic look.

One fan wrote, “Best I have ever seen her look by a landslide. Perfect head to toe. The red lip, the eyeliner brings out her green eyes. The all black is so flattering. Fendi needs to permanently dress her.”

Another described her look as “phenomenal” with one more calling her look “so glamorous and sophisticated.”

Despite Eugenie’s entire look winning praise from fans, she actually might have fallen foul of an old royal custom. While an unofficial and unwritten rule, it is widely known royals are traditionally only meant to wear all black when in mourning. But rules are meant to be broken, and this is a look to break one for. 

Zara Tindall and Princess Eugenie looked incredible on Wednesday night as the cousins joined forces to support an important charitable event. 

On Wednesday, November 29th, Princess Eugenie hosted the Anti Slavery Collective's Inaugural Winter Gala. The Princess looked incredible as she attended the event with several members of the extended Royal Family who supported the charity. The event was held in London at the Battersea Arts Centre and despite the cold weather, the royals dressed to the nines and wore some of the best Christmas Party dresses for this festive season. 

Princess Eugenie looked wonderful as she wore a silky dress with blouson sleeves and a cinched hip with a slit on her thigh. At the top of the slit, the skirt was embellished with gold accents that added a high class feel to this ensemble. The Princess matched this dress with other gold accessories including strappy gold sanadals from Jimmy Choo. The whole look highlighted how well black and gold go together and why the combination is such an effortless win for the festive season. 

For the event, Zara Tindall wore a lace shirt style dress with a maxi length skirt and puffed sleeves. The dress was the 'Antoinette' Puff-sleeve woven maxi dress in black from Rebecca Vallance, a designer brand that the royal has been seen in on many occasions. 

Other members of the family also got the monochrome memo and opted for all-black looks, this included Princess Beatrice and the Duchess of York who also wore black gowns and looked incredible chic for this event in London

Prince William’s go-to dish to “impress” Kate in the early days of their romance was also part of a special childhood tradition.

Whilst we might be used to seeing the Royal Family excel at everything from sports to speaking multiple languages, Prince William has always been open about his somewhat limited culinary skills. In the Prince and Princess of Wales’s engagement interview they reflected on how there were often moments of "angst" when he attempted to make complicated meals for her at university. 

However, Prince William’s go-to dish to really “impress” Kate is something that is part of a special childhood tradition. His cousin Princess Eugenie recently explained that the same pasta-based dish is something that the royal children used to enjoy whilst the adults ate “grown-up tea” instead.

Sharing several food-based revelations during an appearance on Jessie and Lennie Ware’s Table Manners podcast, Princess Eugenie got candid about the divide between adults and children when it came to what they ate. According to her, Spaghetti Bolognese was the kind of dish the little ones would often tuck into.

“Tea was at five - only ever around like 45 minutes so you couldn’t go stir crazy and then we go running everywhere afterwards like crazy people,” she explained, before confirming it was served everyday and being asked what was on the menu. 

“Well it was children’s tea as well as grown-up tea,” Princess Eugenie said. “So like for the kids it was, I don’t know, Spaghetti Bolognese - that was like kids’ tea when we were growing up and then grown-up tea was like sandwiches, little cakes.”

The King’s niece went on to share that she’s kept the 5pm teatime going as it’s a “tradition from growing up for my family and all the generations have had tea”.

Whilst she might not have mentioned Prince William specifically, this final remark does suggest that he had a similar experience. Her reference to the kids “running everywhere” could also be referencing experiences when all the late Queen Elizabeth’s grandchildren were together, not just her and Princess Beatrice.

Either way, Spaghetti Bolognese went on to become Prince William’s go-to dish to “impress” Kate. She shared this with baking icon Dame Mary Berry when the couple appeared on her A Very Berry Christmas special in 2019.

Asked whether the Prince of Wales ever cooked for her, she replied, “He sometimes does, actually. He’s very good at breakfast. In our university days he used to cook all sorts of meals. I think that’s when he was trying to impress me, Mary. Things like Bolognese sauce.”

He certainly seems to have made an impression with his Spaghetti Bolognese as Kate still fondly remembers him making it for her. When it comes to the royal children’s teatime classic, though, Prince William’s verdict is that his version is not necessarily the tastiest even if it still holds a special place in Kate’s heart.

The Prince of Wales shared his recipe for Spaghetti Bolognese in the foreword of a cookbook, A Taste of Home. This was released to mark the 40 year anniversary of The Passage which provides support to people who are homeless to help them transform their lives. 

He described a particular visit where he was helping to cut vegetables in the kitchen, writing,  “On that occasion I ‘made’ a Spaghetti Bolognese (recipe on page 101). The dish smelt amazing – probably because I didn't cook it.”

Princess Eugenie just popped up in the unlikeliest of Instagram photos, and, quite honestly, it came close to breaking the internet.

Sitting next to her husband, Jack Brooksbank, Princess Eugenie was seen clutching her gorgeous Chanel bag – the lambskin quilted pearl studded flap bag – but, for once, the iconic accessory wasn’t the most attention-grabbing part of the picture.

Eugenie was joined by a line-up of legends from across the showbiz spectrum, starting with none other than Ginger Spice, Geri Halliwell Horner.

The Spice Girl uploaded the group photo, taken at the Formula One Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2023. Geri was there to support her husband, Christian Horner, a former race driver and now current Team Principal for the Red Bull Formula One team.

Looking chic in an all-white outfit, Geri has her arm around Eugenie in an affectionate embrace as the pair smile for the camera.

Now, being in the presence of the originator of Girl Power might be iconic enough, but it gets even better.

Sat to the right of Eugenie’s husband is actor Orlando Bloom.

The Lord of the Rings star is no stranger to mingling with the royals – he has a well-known friendship with Prince Harry.

During a 2021 appearance on a podcast, Prince Harry shared how Orlando looked out for the Duke, dropping him a text about the paparazzi hiding near their homes (they both live in Montecito). And Orlando has said of Harry, “This guy is so nice, and I think he's got a great sense of humour.”

Eugenie is one of the few royals who have reportedly remained close with Harry amid his feud with King Charles and Prince William – and their close connection has been “causing concern” for some in the palace.

Earlier this year, Orlando’s wife, superstar Katy Perry, also attended the Coronation of King Charles so we’re sure he and Eugenie had plenty to talk about!  

A Hollywood star, a Spice Girl and a Princess – how do you get even better than that? Adding a supermodel.

The final piece of this legendary Instagram picture was Naomi Campbell dropping in to photobomb. The iconic supermodel appeared just behind Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank, serving a classic Naomi pose, with her enviable cheekbones highlighted with a pulled back hairstyle.

The body language suggests that they were all close and chummy, with no sign of stiff poses. Orlando and Jack had their arms around one another, and Naomi’s hand is resting on Jack’s shoulder.

Eugenie and Naomi were also photographed earlier in the day chatting enthusiastically at the race track.

As expected, fans couldn’t quite believe the combination of people in one Instagram post.

One wrote, “So many worlds colliding in this photo” while another added, “That is a crazy combination of people!”

A third comment summed up our feelings perfectly, “So many unusual characters in one photo, I LOVE IT.”

Princess Eugenie looked oh-so-chic in a pair of bargain high-street flats and a statement Chanel tweed jacket in Abu Dhabi.

Princess Eugenie’s latest look combined a traditional tweed Chanel blazer with some high-street slingbacks that just got even more affordable as the fashion Black Friday deals continue to attract attention. The King’s niece, who works at Hauser & Wirth art gallery, attended the annual Abu Dhabi Art exhibition and her outfit couldn’t have been more elegant. Taking to Instagram the founder and creator of Canvas Gallery, Sameera Raja shared a picture of Princess Eugenie at the exhibition wearing a gorgeous Chanel tweed blazer.

Blazers are a royal staple - especially for Princess Eugenie’s cousin-in-law Kate Middleton, whose Reiss Blazer is currently reduced in the Reiss Black Friday sale. She’s not the only one to have an outfit staple suddenly become more affordable, though, as Princess Eugenie’s flats are even more of a bargain at the moment.

Layering her statement navy, red and white tweed blazer with a floaty black shirt dress, Princess Eugenie finished off her look with a pair of Dune London slingback pumps.

As a non-working royal, Princess Eugenie doesn’t undertake engagements, so she has a little more freedom to dress casually and mix-and-match formal and low-key pieces, like the Converse trainers she loves. 

On this occasion she kept her hair loose around her shoulders and went for fresh and glowy make-up to finish off her look. And if the picture was anything to go by, art-loving Princess Eugenie thoroughly enjoyed her time at Abu Dhabi Art 2023 which is running until 26th November. The event presents galleries, exhibitions, performances and talks and Princess Eugenie isn’t the only art-loving member of the Royal Family.

King Charles has been open about his enthusiasm for watercolour painting and some of his works were even exhibited earlier this year at Sandringham House. This seems to have been an inherited talent as the late Prince Philip also painted and gave one of his pieces to Princess Eugenie as a wedding gift when she married Jack Brooksbank.

Getting candid about her grandfather in the BBC’s, Prince Philip: The Royal Family Remembers, documentary in 2021, she explained, “It was so nice, it's now sitting in my house in London and I'm so proud of it, you know?"

Prince Philip’s painting is likely still in her home now and will no doubt have a special place in Princess Eugenie’s heart forever. 

Princess Eugenie revealed the harsh drawbacks of being a member of the Royal Family as she opened up on a recent podcast. 

On November 22nd, 2023, Princess Eugenie appeared on the Table Manners podcast with Jessie and Lennie Ware. The Princess showcased her down-to-earth personality as she opened up about a variety of topics, ranging from her favourite packet of Walkers crisps (prawn cocktail), to the pivotal role she plays in the extended Royal Family.

Speaking about having to look perfectly presented for fear of being criticised wherever she goes, Eugenie said, "I think that definitely has caused a couple of issues around my relationship with having to look a certain way because it's always like 'oh that's not a nice outfit ' or 'oh, she looked terrible there' I guess everybody has that if you’re in the public eye."

 She then spoke about why it's particularly challenging being in the Royal Family as she has grown up in the spotlight. "I guess within our family, it happens at that perfect age where you’re, you know, 13 years old and you’ve got that dorky bowl haircut and you’re a bit chubby and, you know, all the boys are bullying you and all that kind of stuff. It's when all you need is reassurance that you're going in the right direction, and you get the opposite."

The Princess added that she has found a lot of peace living abroad because of the increase in privacy. "Which is why Portugal is the dream as I can go to the supermarket in my exercise gear and my hair piled on top of my head and not care, no one cares," she said. 

The Princess also spoke about her struggles with her weight, particularly because of the expectations that women should immediately shed weight after giving birth.

"On the post-baby body thing, I find it really hard to shake the baby weight and society dictates that you have to shake your baby weight and all of that stuff. Jack gets really bad migraines so he's gluten and dairy-free," she explained that ditching those foods from his diet has really helped him so she supports him by also matching her husband's diet. She revealed she ate a lot of dairy while breastfeeding but has now stopped now that she's no longer breastfeeding her baby, Ernie.

The Princess also spoke about learning about how to be a good listener from her family. "My favourite kind of dinner or small talk moment is listening to them - one mouth, two ears type of thing - ask questions," she said. 

She also said that she was taught to be reserved about what she shared. "I definitely want to keep things to myself. The world doesn’t need to know everything about us … also the way we’ve been brought up is to just not – we don’t overshare," she said.

When asked about how the Royal Family is modernising, the princess said, "Well, I think with each change of monarch it's less about modernising and more about becoming one with what the monarch believes in. And I think my uncle [the King] and my cousin [Prince William] are amazing examples for the future. And the way they've been brought up and what they believe in, it's not like they're thinking 'oh God, we've got to modernise,' it's just their belief systems are what the world believes in, and that couldn't be better."

There's a trainer brand Princess Eugenie loves that the Princess of Wales doesn’t appear to wear and it's a true classic.

As a non-working royal Princess Eugenie isn’t seen at public occasions as the likes of Queen Camilla and the Princess of Wales but it also means she has a little more freedom when it comes to her day-to-day wardrobe choices. She's often gone for slightly more casual options like the cosy fair-isle scarf and bobble hat we saw in her birthday tribute to Princess Beatrice this year. And when it comes to her footwear, her Instagram has also showcased her love of one particular brand of trainers we’ve never seen worn by Kate - at least not recently!

Back in September Princess Eugenie shared a special tribute to her late grandmother Queen Elizabeth on the first anniversary of her passing. The picture she posted featured her and Queen Elizabeth sitting side-by-side on a bench and Princess Eugenie’s converse are visible.

She paired them with straight leg dark-wash jeans and a casual V-neck T-shirt for an off-duty chic look. The converse appear to be the iconic £54.99 low canvas trainer design from the brand with the distinctive rubber soles with black and red stripes. Princess Eugenie looks to have gone for the white canvas option which worked perfectly with her very neutral outfit.

They are also incredibly versatile in this colourway and one of the best white trainers for adding a slightly sporty or preppy feel to an outfit. They’d look just as beautiful with your best wide leg jeans as they would with a midi or mini dress and you can easily dress down a more formal look with a pair of these trainers.

Princess Eugenie’s converse also appeared in another photo last year which she shared for Valentine’s Day. Standing on a path covered in stunning pink blossom with her husband Jack Brooksbank, the royal opted to pair her converse with black joggers and a statement T-shirt for an even more casual look. 

As classic as they are, her trainers aren’t frequently seen being worn by her fellow royals, though. When it comes to Kate’s white trainers, her favourite brand for more day-to-day ones is Superga and she's not been pictured in public wearing converse. Fans have seen her step out in her £65 Superga 2750 White Canvas Cotu Classics many times in recent years. And whilst they are definitely different from Princess Eugenie’s converse it seems that for daywear that doesn’t involve sports, canvas is their shared trainer material of choice.

Before the weather gets colder and wetter and winter takes hold, white trainers remain a great choice for different outfits and it’s well worth having a pair in your wardrobe as a staple ready for spring/summer too. Princess Eugenie’s converse might well end up getting another appearance on her Instagram in the coming months and years.

Princess Eugenie finds this the “most stressful thing in the world” amid fears of getting trolled and she’s revealed the heart-breaking way she goes about it.

Having grown up as one of Queen Elizabeth’s grandchildren, Princess Eugenie is no stranger to making high-profile appearances. Whether it’s in her capacity as the King’s niece or privately when she’s supporting causes closer to her heart, she exudes confidence on these important occasions. 

However, Princess Eugenie has now revealed that there’s something that remains the “most stressful thing in the world” to her as she got candid about fears of getting trolled. Opening up on the White Wine Question Time podcast with Kate Thornton, Princess Eugenie explained that, for her, posting on Instagram doesn’t come easily. 

Princess Eugenie remains one of the few members of the immediate and extended Royal Family to have a personal Instagram account and explained that she set this up so that “people could know [her]”. She confessed that she believes there’s been a lot of “misinformation” about her, but it seems that having her account is definitely not stress-free either.

"I do my own Instagram and I find it the most stressful thing in the world,” Princess Eugenie admitted, before adding, “I get so nervous”.

The King’s niece went on to share that she has a specific checking process in place to help her avoid any unintentional mistakes amid trolling fears.

She said, “Before I post I have to text about five people asking them if it's okay or if it's got a spelling mistake, am I going to get trolled?”

Princess Eugenie reflected that this particular approach came after she previously made a spelling mistake and revealed how carefully she considers what content to post. For her, being “respectful” to the Royal Family, her charity work and her family with husband Jack Brooksbank are key factors in her social media content.

"I want to be respectful to the family I come from and the fact that I have a job as well as do my charity work, so I have got to find a really good balance,” she declared. “I also don't want to over-post my children, my family life, or anything like that. I am constantly finding a balance. It is really thought out in terms of 'Should I do this? Should I not?'”

Her most recent Instagram post was one of her rare insights into her relationship and family life as Princess Eugenie posted a special video in honour of her and Jack’s fifth wedding anniversary. Not only did this feature stunning clips of their magical day but it ended with a new photo of the couple and their sons August and Ernest enjoying a beach day. 

This is only the third photo of Ernest ever posted by the devoted mum-of-two and she’s generally kept August’s face away from the camera in publicly-shared pictures. This is something she and Prince Harry and Meghan have in common as the Sussexes also prefer not to show the faces of Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet in photos they share. 

It seems Princess Eugenie and Meghan also very much share the same parenting ethos too. Back in 2022 the Duchess of Sussex said to The Cut that when it came to raising Prince Archie specifically they were instilling the value of manners as they “make the man”. Echoing this proverb in her recent interview, Princess Eugenie shared that when it comes to August and Ernest, “Manners maketh man' – I'm trying to do that with my kids right now."

Following King Charles' reported plans for a more "slimmed down" monarchy, it's been claimed that Princess Beatrice and Eugenie could be set to take on more responsibility.

Despite not being full-time working members of the Royal Family, His Majesty’s nieces Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice continue to be seen attending important royal occasions like the coronation and Easter services. And it seems their workloads could reportedly be set to increase as they sisters are allegedly being considered to take on more responsibilities due to the demand for royal attending events. 

Even before ascending the throne it was suggested that King Charles planned to have a more 'slimmed down' monarchy. Now a source has claimed that “emergency” meetings have been held to discuss solutions for the packed royal schedule, with Princess Eugenie and Beatrice apparently being considered to help out with more appearances. 

According to OK!, a source alleged, "Emergency meetings have been held to come up with a solution to fulfil the growing number of royal engagements both here in the UK and abroad."

Among the key working royals are, of course, the Prince and Princess of Wales who have undertaken a large number of engagements in autumn 2023 alone. However, Prince William and Kate are said to have decided that their children come first, with the couple stepping out of the spotlight this week to enjoy the half-term holiday with their family.

The source added that in addition to Prince William and Kate, "There needs to be some younger blood to reach the younger generation and the only candidates available are Beatrice and Eugenie." 

While they are being tipped to take on more active roles, the source claimed that it would likely "be a case of increasing those responsibilities as opposed to making them into full-time working royals".

Woman&Home's Royal Editor, Emma Shacklock has shared her thoughts on the source's claims for Princess Beatrice and Eugenie's roles moving forward. She notes, "The schedules of senior members of the Royal Family are consistently packed with royal engagements and so it makes sense to me that if anyone were being considered to take on more responsibilities it would be Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice."

She also adds, "They were the only non-working royals who attended a Big Lunch over the coronation weekend and Princess Beatrice is one of King Charles’ Counsellors of State. They are trusted members of the family who have experience attending public events and representing the monarchy, as well as advocating for organisations and projects close to their hearts."

Emma concluded that, in her opinion, "it definitely seems possible that the York sisters could be considered for taking on more responsibilities without making them full-time working royals".

Lady Louise Windsor is another young royal that we could potentially see take on a slightly bigger role in the future, with experts praising her "competency". That being said though, she is currently in her second year of university, meaning the Royal Family will likely look to Princess Beatrice and Eugenie. 

Princess Eugenie’s wedding tribute to Queen Elizabeth’s special place has got a close-up in a new video and it’s got such lovely associations.

Princess Eugenie’s new picture of her sons August and Ernest Brooksbank together on the beach was the perfect way to end her fifth wedding anniversary tribute video but it wasn’t the only heartfelt detail in it. The King’s niece took to her personal Instagram account on 12th October to share a video montage of clips from her and her husband Jack's big day at Windsor Castle in 2018 and it included close-up glimpses at something very special.

Princess Eugenie’s tribute to the place Queen Elizabeth was “most happy” is something that might not be obvious at first glance. But once you see it, it’s hard not to feel a little emotional as this detail is something both the bride and groom had.

The fifth anniversary wedding video from Princess Eugenie not only featured several close-up clips of her in her wedding dress holding her bouquet, but also close-up shots of Jack’s buttonhole floral arrangement. This matched the flowers in her bouquet and both included a bloom not seen in the likes of the Princess of Wales or Meghan Markle’s bouquets. 

Blue thistles had pride of place in Princess Eugenie’s floral arrangement and a thistle was also the biggest flower in Jack’s buttonhole, as the new video showcased. The thistle is the floral emblem of Scotland and Princess Eugenie is one of the late Queen Elizabeth’s grandchildren who has specifically described Scotland and the highlands around Balmoral in particular as making her “Granny” happy.

Speaking in the ITV documentary, Our Queen at Ninety, just two years before her nuptials, Princess Eugenie said, “It's the most beautiful place on earth. I think Granny is the most happy there. I think she really, really loves the Highlands."

She added that when the royals all went up to see Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip at Balmoral it allowed them the freedom to “breathe and run”, suggesting Scotland means a lot to her too. During Queen Elizabeth’s reign she declared her “deep and abiding affection” for the “wonderful country” and she had Scottish ancestry on both sides of her family.

The choice to include a thistle in the wedding flowers could be seen as Princess Eugenie’s tribute to her grandmother and to a place that held such an important place in her heart. The decision to have thistles was likely a joint one and it’s possible it had meaning to Jack too, but whatever the exact reason or intention behind the bouquet and buttonhole choice, having thistles naturally brings to mind these associations with Scotland.

This summer King Charles continued Queen Elizabeth’s tradition of enjoying an annual summer break in Scotland. It was reported that Princess Eugenie, Jack and their two sons were amongst the royals who went up to stay there during this time too. If this was correct then it seems the couple are continuing to make happy memories in Scotland with their children like the ones Princess Eugenie has of spending time with her grandmother there.

Whilst plenty of members of the immediate and extended Royal Family regularly feature in the royals’ official Instagram posts highlighting their work, Princess Eugenie is the only one known to have a personal account on the platform. As a non-working royal the King’s niece has a little more freedom to move away from tradition and protocols and she often shares unique glimpses of her life on social media.

Because of this, many of us will have been anticipating a new post to mark Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank’s 5th wedding anniversary on 12th October and she certainly didn’t disappoint. She shared a special video montage in honour of the occasion and it ended in possibly the cutest way ever with Princess Eugenie’s picture of sons August and Ernest at the beach. 

In previous years Princess Eugenie stunned in an unseen wedding snap and posted a beautiful photo of her and Jack kissing in the carriage on their big day. But for their fifth anniversary, Princess Eugenie’s video celebrated not just their marriage but where they are now living the life they’ve built together in those five years. 

After clips that included everything from Princess Eugenie’s tiara getting put on for the big day to Jack arriving and the couple excitedly walking back down the aisle after saying, “I do”, the video came to an end with a previously-unseen snap. It showed the couple standing on the beach beaming, with two-year-old August standing on the sand in a cute striped t-shirt.

Held carefully in a hot pink towel in Princess Eugenie’s loving arms was baby Ernest who was born in May 2023. Unusually for Princess Eugenie, the mum-of-two decided to include a snap of both sons directly facing the camera, perhaps suggesting that this was a personal family photo.

This is only the third photo of Ernest that’s ever been shared with the world and the first two showed him at just a few days old, one on his own and one with August looking down at his brother. August has appeared several times on Princess Eugenie’s Instagram account but aside from a couple of posts, his face is generally angled away from the camera protecting his privacy at such a young age.

So getting to see him, Ernest and their parents looking so relaxed and happy together, all facing the camera is a particularly special treat for fans. It’s not known exactly where this picture was taken and it could have been capturing a wonderful holiday moment. Alternatively, since Princess Eugenie and Jack are said to split their time between Portugal and the UK it’s potentially possible that it was taken in Portugal. 

Princess Eugenie’s new picture of August and Ernest is a lovely snapshot of family life either way. It’s not known when we could next see Princess Eugenie alongside her fellow royals, though it’s possible it could be closer to Christmas time when the Royal Family often step out to attend occasions together. With August and Ernest still so young, though, it’s likely that fans’ next glimpse of them will be in another Instagram post rather than in-person. 

The Royal Family’s “number one rule”  for relationships is something that Princess Eugenie, Prince William have “embraced” and came after a “radical” change.

The Royal Family is known for having plenty of traditions and rules about how they respond or behave in certain situations and events. These range from the strict rule that means the royals’ gifts technically belong to King Charles to the slightly more light-hearted tradition of only gifting affordable or funny presents at Christmas. However, when it comes to relationships the Royal Family’s “number one rule” in recent times has apparently signalled quite a major change for them. 

And according to the BBC’s former royal correspondent Jennie Bond it’s something that the Queen Elizabeth’s grandchildren have whole-heartedly “embraced”.

Getting candid with OK! with Princess Eugenie’s fifth wedding anniversary fast approaching, Jennie explained how things have “changed radically” for the younger generations of royals. 

“Thank goodness things have changed so radically in recent years and there’s now absolutely no pressure on royals to find a partner from within the ranks of European royalty, or indeed to find someone with no previous love life,” she said, before expressing her belief that, “Genuine ‘love’ is the number one rule these days.”

Jennie then specifically mentioned how Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice have “embraced” the Royal Family’s “number one rule” for romance with their respective husbands Jack Brooksbank and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi. 

“Both couples have shown they’re not backward in coming forward with their protestations of love,” Jennie explained and she also suggested the York sisters have “learned to be open about their marriages” after seeing their mother Sarah Ferguson’s example.

However, it’s not just Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice who have followed their hearts. All their adult married cousins - Prince William, Prince Harry, Zara Tindall and Peter Phillips - have also married for love and none of them chose a spouse with royal credentials. Although Prince William will be King one day, the Princess of Wales didn’t come from a noble family herself.

This is something that Jennie previously claimed has been a key factor in Kate’s popularity and helped shape her natural ability to connect with people. The royal expert told OK! that both Kate and her aunt-in-law Duchess Sophie have the “common touch” and put forward the idea that this is because they had “normal” lives before becoming senior royals.

"Both she and Catherine have a common touch…perhaps because they lived “normal“ lives before marrying,” Jennie alleged. “They connect with the people they meet and look as if they really want to chat. They are the new female stars of the show - elegant, engaging and empathetic."

So it seems like Prince William and Kate following the Royal Family’s “number one rule” for relationships has actually been incredibly helpful for the future Queen Consort. Not feeling “pressure” to find a specific partner of rank or background is also no doubt something that Princess Eugenie and Jack, Princess Beatrice and Edoardo, Prince Harry and Meghan, Zara and Mike Tindall and Peter Phillips and his former wife Autumn and current girlfriend Lindsay have all very much appreciated. 

The “radical change” from how things previously were to now will also likely mean the same freedom to choose and follow their hearts for the Queen’s great-grandchildren. 

The Royal Family are known across the globe, but it’s fair to say that the spotlight often shines on some members more frequently than others. With the likes of Prince William, Kate Middleton, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, it’s easy for others to perhaps slip under the radar. But a special podcast dedicated to the royals have chosen to remind listeners just how brave and powerful Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie have been, often tackling criticism head on and making good out of something bad.

This is something Rachel Burchfield and Jessica Robinson hosts of Podcast Royal, are rectifying with their latest insightful discussion, looking at the often overlooked ways the York princesses embrace their imperfections more than any other royals.

Rachel Burchfield said, “The York sisters, in particular Beatrice, break barriers in ways that are more subdued that you might not know… They embrace their imperfections and that’s really inspiring everyone to do the same.”

Proving that it’s more than just opinion, the podcast hosts point to two very notable times when the princesses really faced adversity and made something positive out of it.

First, there was Princess Beatrice’s now infamous Philip Treacy hat worn to the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton in 2011.

The hat went viral almost immediately and was compared to everything from a pretzel to a toilet seat. Eugenie shared in an interview to Vogue in 2018 that the backlash was so severe it initially reduced the sisters to tears.

She explained, “There was a horrible article that had been written about Beatrice and she got really upset. We were just about to step out and she had a bit of a wobble and cried. I was looking after her. And then about an hour later, I had a wobble and started crying and Bea was there for me.”

But proving that they are willing to embrace the criticism and make something out of it, she then decided to use the hat's infamy and sold it on eBay.

Writing on the auction page, Beatrice put a positive spin on the debacle and said: “I've been amazed by the amount of attention the hat has attracted. It's a wonderful opportunity to raise as much money as possible for two fantastic charities [UNICEF and Children in Crisis]. I hope whoever wins the auction has as much fun with the hat as I have.”

But the back of the dress featured a poignant, powerful detail.

The hat would eventually raise £81,100.01 for charity.

The second example of the sisters’ skill for embracing a challenging time was Eugenie’s choice of wedding dress.

Princess Eugenie walked down the aisle to marry Jack Brooksbank in 2018 wearing a gown designed by London-based design duo Christopher de Vos and Peter Pilotto. The satin white off the shoulder dress was floor length with long sleeves.

According to People, Eugenie explained at the time, “I had always wanted a low back — part of it was showing my [scoliosis] scar, and I believe scars tell a story about your past and your future, and it’s a way of getting rid of a taboo.”

“For me, it’s a way of communicating with people who are going through either similar situations with scoliosis or having a scar of their own that they are trying to deal with.”

The late Queen Elizabeth II once gifted a rather expensive asset to granddaughters Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice - but they never actually got to benefit from it. 

• Queen Elizabeth II was known to show sweet generosity to her beloved grandkids and once even gifted Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice a house. 
• However, the sisters were unable to ever live in the property and it was later sold for £1.5million.

Queen Elizabeth II was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren and she left behind 12 great-grandchildren, with the thirteenth, Ernest Brooksbank, being born to Princess Eugenie shortly after she died in September 2022. 

And like most loving grandmothers, the long-reigning monarch made sure to treat them to sweet gifts and gestures regularly - with Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice once even being given the gift of property by the Queen.

Following the divorce of Prince Andrew and Duchess Sarah Ferguson in 1996, Queen Elizabeth II bought a seven-bed Surrey mansion for Eugenie and Beatrice to live in with their mother Sarah, with the Queen having built a strong bond with her over the course of her son Andrew's marriage. 

Despite the spacious home, known as Birch Hall, having been given to Eugenie, Beatrice, and their mother to live in, the three never actually resided in the property. 

Sarah Ferguson was reportedly unable to keep up with the maintenance costs of the lavish house and it was later sold in 1999 for a hefty £1.5 million. 

It's certain that Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice had a close bond with both their grandmother and their grandfather, Prince Philip, having spent plenty of quality time with the pair as children and growing up. 

The sisters have opened up on the wonderful memories they have of their grandparents over the years and shared the poignance that the times shared together hold. 

Speaking in the 2016 ITV documentary Our Queen At Ninety, Princess Beatrice became teary as she paid tribute to her grandpa. 

"My fabulous grandfather. When I talk about my grandfather, I really get quite emotional," she said. 

"Because he is the most unique person and I'm very lucky there have been so many times where I have been able to share magical moments with my grandfather."

Beatrice and Eugenie also touched the hearts of royal fans with their statement shared after the death of their grandmother, in which they wrote, "Our dearest Grannie, we've not been able to put much into words since you left us all. There have been tears and laughter, silences and chatter, hugs and loneliness, and a collective loss for you, our beloved Queen, and our beloved Grannie."

There’s only one adult member of the Royal Family who hasn’t worn a tiara yet but this makes total sense given what we’ve seen from their fellow royals. 

• Fans have seen the royals bring out some fabulous tiaras for big events over the years but there’s one of them who’s never worn one.
• Lady Louise Windsor is 19 years old but has still never worn a tiara and likely won’t before a very big life moment.
• This royal news comes as it was revealed Prince Harry’s title has received a low-key update by the palace three years after a major decision was made. 

There have been some magnificent tiara moments from immediate and extended Royal Family members over the years. Many of Queen Elizabeth’s tiaras have had many state occasions at which to shine and Queen Camilla’s favourite tiara was her go-to for a visit to Berlin in March. Whilst the Princess of Wales’ Lover’s Knot Tiara was a show-stopper at the wedding of Crown Prince Hussein and Princess Rajwa of Jordan. And it’s easy to forget that only one adult member of the Royal Family hasn’t worn a tiara at this point. 

Out of all the adult members of the Royal Family, from the late Queen Elizabeth’s children to her grandchildren, it’s only Lady Louise Windsor who’s never worn one.

The 19-year-old has attended plenty of high-profile royal occasions over the years but never a State Banquet where tiaras are traditionally worn. This doesn’t mean that Lady Louise will remain the one adult member of the Royal Family who hasn’t worn a tiara forever though.  When it comes to getting to wear a tiara, both working and non-working royals alike have been seen wearing them at other times, though typically for the first time on one particular day. 

Lady Louise Windsor’s cousins Princess Eugenie, Princess Beatrice, and Zara Tindall wore tiaras for the first time on their wedding days. Princess Eugenie opted for the Greville Emerald Kokoshnik Tiara, whilst Princess Beatrice wore Queen Mary’s Diamond Fringe Tiara which both Queen Elizabeth and Princess Anne wore on their wedding days.

Zara Tindall’s wedding tiara was one she’s understood to have borrowed from Princess Anne and which once belonged to Prince Philip’s mother Princess Alice of Battenberg. This is the only time fans have seen Zara - who was born without a royal title - where a tiara and Princess Eugenie has likewise only been pictured wearing one at her wedding.

Stepping out in the York Tiara in Jordan earlier this year, Princess Beatrice’s tiara stunned as she wore one for only the second time. It’s likely that Lady Louise Windsor will wear her first tiara on her own wedding day and could possibly get to wear one another time if she goes on to attend a high-profile royal wedding or event where one is required. 

Lady Louise could also be permitted to borrow one of her grandmother’s tiaras for her big day, possibly one of the ones her mother has worn. Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh has been seen wearing some stunning pieces over the years, including the diamond and aquamarine tiara she wore last year for a state banquet and the diamond Anthemion Tiara she wore for her wedding to Prince Edward. 

This is more subtle as royal tiaras go and would also have a lovely story behind it and so could likely be Lady Louise Windsor’s tiara of choice whenever the time to wear one for the first time comes. 

We reveal why Princess Eugenie and Beatrice won’t be part of the coronation procession but these distant relatives will, according to reports.  

• It’s been claimed that only specific members of the Royal Family will be part of a procession leaving Westminster Abbey on coronation day.
• Apparently Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice won’t be in the procession though the late Queen Elizabeth’s cousins will.
• This royal news comes as Princess Margaret’s “absolutely livid” reaction to her loyal Lady-in-Waiting marrying was revealed. 

King Charles’ coronation day is drawing nearer and amid speculation about whether Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could return to the UK from their Santa Barbara mansion for it, there’s also intense interest in which royals could be granted official roles. It’s been suggested that Kate Middleton and Prince William are “worried” about Prince George’s role and now the royals who will allegedly be included in a procession out of Westminster Abbey on May 6 have been revealed. 

On March 17, The Times reported that rehearsal plans for King Charles’ coronation allegedly show that only certain royals will be in it and Princess Eugenie and Beatrice won’t be part of the coronation procession. 

The Times’ report claims that - as expected - the Prince and Princess of Wales will be part of the royal procession out of Westminster Abbey. Although not confirmed by Kensington Palace, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis will reportedly be joining their parents, as will the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and Princess Anne and Vice Admiral Sir Timothy Laurence. 

However, many prominent royals allegedly won’t be part of the procession, including Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice. Instead, as per the report, the procession will also supposedly feature members of the extended Royal Family - the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, Duke of Kent and Princess Alexandra.

This might come as a surprise to some fans, especially given how low all of them are in the royal line of succession compared to the Princess Eugenie and Beatrice.

However, per The Times, this has supposedly been a factor and Princess Eugenie and Beatrice won’t be part of the coronation procession simply because it’s apparently “confined to working members of the Royal Family”. 

It’s expected that they and other non-working royals will be attending the coronation ceremony, just perhaps not taking an official role. The Dukes and Princess Alexandra are the late Queen Elizabeth’s first cousins and have remained working royals since her reign, despite reports that King Charles wishes to streamline the monarchy. 

If this report is correct then Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice won’t be the only well-known royals who could attend only as guests. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle allegedly aren’t listed amongst those in the procession out of the abbey and they’re not working royals either. 

They’ve confirmed that they’ve received invitations and it’s been claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan’s coronation decision will need to be made within two weeks. If they do attend then this will mark the first time returning to the UK since their children became Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet and since Princess Eugenie moved into their former home, Frogmore Cottage.

She’s understood to have lived there briefly when they still had the lease but now has apparently moved back in with Jack Brooksbank and their son August as they prepare to welcome their second baby this summer. 

Prince Harry and Meghan could still stay at Frogmore Cottage if they attend King Charles' coronation amid reports their former UK home has new occupants. 

• The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have confirmed they’ve been asked to “vacate” their UK home, Frogmore Cottage. 
• It’s been claimed that Princess Eugenie has moved in and given her bond with the Sussexes it’s possible they could host them for the coronation.  
• This royal news comes as we revealed the sweet but subtle way Princess Eugenie will play a part in Queen Elizabeth's favorite summer event this year. 

As this month marks three years since the last engagement before Prince Harry and Meghan Markle “stepped back” as senior royals, the couple have now confirmed that they’ve been asked to vacate Frogmore Cottage in Windsor. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex live in their Santa Barbara mansion but previously retained Frogmore Cottage as a UK base. 

But whilst this property will no longer be their second home that doesn’t necessarily mean that staying there is out of the question. It’s possible that Prince Harry and Meghan could still stay at Frogmore Cottage for the coronation.

Despite rumors circulating that the Sussexes had been asked to “vacate” so Prince Andrew could move in, according to OK!, it’s one of the late Queen’s grandchildren who’s now made it her home. They report that a source has alleged to them that Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank have moved into Frogmore Cottage.

The couple are proud parents of two-year-old August and are expecting their second child due this summer. The source suggested that whilst the Sussexes are apparently “disappointed by the move” they “couldn’t be happier that Eugenie and Jack” will take over their former home. 

“They have been staying there on and off for the past few years anyway,” the source said. “They went to see Harry and Meghan last month in California. They took over some small personal belongings left in the property. They were also helping to box up items at Frogmore to be shipped over to California.”

Princess Eugenie herself hasn’t confirmed the move and there’s some uncertainty over how long she and Jack could live at Frogmore Cottage, with another source suggesting that it was temporary. If Princess Eugenie and Jack are currently living there, it likely means that Prince Harry and Meghan could still stay at Frogmore Cottage.

It’s been suggested that Princess Eugenie is one of Prince Harry and Meghan’s favorite royals and they’re understood to be very close to her and Jack, having gone on double dates in the past. Given that Frogmore Cottage reportedly has five bedrooms there would be room for them to stay.

This would also be the case even if the Sussexes returned with Archie and Lilibet for the coronation. In light of their bond with Princess Eugenie and Jack, their familiarity with the home and preference for a high degree of privacy, perhaps this would be their residence of choice for the coronation weekend. 

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s coronation invite has been confirmed, their final decision has not. Asked last year by ITV News’ Tom Bradby about whether he’d attend if he was invited, Prince Harry said that “a lot” can happen between now and then. 

"The door is always open. The ball is in their court. There’s a lot to be discussed and I really hope that they’re willing to sit down and talk about it," he declared.

Princess Eugenie will be featured at the Chelsea Flower Show, one of the Queen's favorite summer events, in a subtle but touching way this May.

Princess Eugenie will have a special role at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show this May, much to the excitement of the royal's adoring fans. 

The younger daughter of Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson was all smiles as she visited Horatio's Garden in Stanmore last week to learn about the charity's work in helping people affected by spinal injury. Eugenie has been a patron of the organization, which designs beautiful and accessible gardens for NHS units, since May 2019. 

After receiving a tour of the garden and meeting with its volunteers and patients, the 32-year-old joined ceramist Vinicius Les to have her thumbprint formed in clay. Princess Eugenie's cast will be displayed in the charity's exhibition at the Chelsea Flower Show in May, alongside a thousand other thumbprints collected from the charity's community across the UK. 

The engagement comes less than two months after Princess Eugenie confirmed she was expecting her second child with husband Jack Brooksbank. 

Wearing a houndstooth coat, a black dress, and knee-high boots for the event, the royal's visit to the garden marked her first public appearance since revealing she was pregnant.

"I am so pleased to be supporting the Horatio’s Garden show garden at Chelsea this year," she said in a statement. "As a former spinal patient myself I understand the impact that Horatio’s Garden has on people in hospital and the difference it makes to their lives." The art gallery director has long been open about her battle with scoliosis, having undergone spinal surgery for the condition when she was 12. 

Eugenie's involvement in this year's Chelsea Flower Show, which takes place between May 22 and May 27 on the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea in London, is also more poignant because of its connection to the late Queen Elizabeth II. Her Majesty was known to be a fan of the annual event, regularly attending with other members of the Royal Family throughout her reign.

Her final appearance at the show took place in 2022, less than a month before she celebrated her Platinum Jubilee. Wearing a bubblegum pink outfit and white gloves, the 96-year-old toured the exhibitions in a buggy after suffering from ongoing mobility issues.
