The heatwave might have people hiding from the sun, but the July Full Moon might have sky watchers and stargazers flocking outdoors to see the eighth full moon of the year.

July’s full moon is usually the seventh of the year, but May had two full moons - including a rare blue moon. The new full moon, called the Buck Moon, is expected to be a warm, summery orange or amber.

We’ve got all the details on how to see the July full moon, when it hits its peak and why it’s called the Buck Moon.

What is the Buck Moon?

The Buck Moon takes its name from the time of year when male deer - bucks - start to grow their antlers.

Rooted in Native American tradition, the moon’s names were given as a sort of calendar system, helping them to keep track of the seasons. Other names include the Wolf Moon in January, named for the surge in wolves hunting in the deep winter and the Strawberry Moon in June, named after the peak season for the fruit.

Other cultures have their own names for July's full moon, including the thunder moon for the summer storms that often occur, and the hay moon, named after the summer hay harvest.

Will the Buck Moon be visible in the UK?

Yes, you should be able to see the Buck Moon today - with a caveat. Per the Royal Greenwich Observatory, the full moon will appear at its fullest at 3.36pm today (July 29).

Because the moon will be just below the horizon at its peak, it’s likely you won’t get to see the Buck Moon at its fullest. However, you will still get to see it as the evening goes on.

Even if you miss the exact moment the moon becomes full, it will appear almost full on the nights immediately before and after sunset.

When is the best time to see the July Buck Moon?

For the most impressive view, head outside shortly after dark. As is always the case with celestial sightings, you’re guaranteed a better view if you head away from light pollution. Also, those with higher vantage points - climbing up hills, for example - should be able to get a clearer, fuller view

If you don’t get the best view of the Buck Moon tonight, the good news is there’s plenty more lunar activities set to take place in the coming weeks.

The Perseids meteor shower will take place until August 24, reaching their peak between August 12 and 13.

Just days after we reported that Kate Garraway had marked a significant milestone in her new relationship, the star has been cruelly torn down by trolls.

Thanks to new partner Liam Halligan, the Good Morning Britain presenter finally has a reason to smile again following an unimaginable few years of heartbreak.

But, after ‘hard-launching’ her relationship online with a social media photo together - something that many perceive confirms a couple are officially together -, Kate was met with a cruel response.

Some social media users branded her finding love after the sad loss of husband Derek Draper in 2024 as “disgusting betrayal” while others said she and Liam have “no morals” because he had been friends with Derek.

“It’s been extremely upsetting,” a source said, explaining, “The messages are deliberately written to provoke reaction and cause distress.”

They continued, “Kate deserves happiness after everything she’s been through. It’s sad there are some people who are bitter and twisted enough to try to ruin that.”

Thankfully, fans leapt to the mum-of-two’s defence, with many saying they were “absolutely thrilled” for her and that she “deserves happiness”.

Others added that “life is for living,” explaining that it's “nobody’s business but theirs.”

‘[She has] every right to have a life after her husband's death,” said another.

In May Kate, who cared for Derek for four years prior to his death, addressed her budding romance, gushing, “It’s lovely”. While Liam said that after becoming “single against our wishes” he and the broadcaster, who he has known for “a long time”, were “really enjoying each other’s company” and there is a "definite spark” between them.

Liam is the first man that the star has been linked to since losing Derek, who she met in 2004 and tied the knot with in 2005 before welcoming daughter Darcey, and Billy.

Derek contracted COVID-19 in 2020 and was said to be the one of the UK’s longest-suffering Coronavirus patients, experiencing extreme complications including major organ damage before suffering from a cardiac arrest and subsequently passing away in January 2024.

Kelly Clarkson gave a rare update on her love life during a recent performance in Las Vegas - and, for now, she’s more than happy staying single.

The Since U Been Gone singer revealed that one of the big motivators in staying single is seeing how other people’s relationships look from the outside. She told the crowd, “People are like, 'Oh, why are you single?' And I'm like, 'First of all, there are a lot of people out here making single look real good.’”

She added, “You see relationships and you're like, 'I am so glad I'm going home alone’. You know what's not happening in my house? That s**t.”

"If you are in a relationship, the hardest part, I feel like, is just keeping that fire alive and still dating," she continued. "And still making it feel magical and not monotonous."

The singer and talk show host usually keeps this part of her life private, especially following the death of her ex husband in 2025. Kelly was married to manager Brandon Blackstock for seven years, separating in 2020.

The couple shared daughter River Rose, and son Remington. Brandon died at his Montana home in August 2025 at the age of 48 following a private battle with melanoma.

In early 2024 - after she had divorced from Brandon but before his passing - Kelly did offer rare insight into whether she could see herself looking for a new husband. Speaking to People, she categorically ruled it out, saying, "No. I never wanted to get married the first time".

She added, "[Brandon] had children, a religious background, and it was important for him. But I’ve never been that person. Because I’ve been through a couple divorces in my family, I just don’t like to put any weight on it.

"It can happen; it doesn’t have to happen. For my kids, I definitely would never even think about it until they’re out of my house."

Offering her insight into love, she also told the outlet, “I’ve always known that love is hard. For me, love has always come with this elephant in the room of sadness.

"I’ve known love is not forever. I don’t mean that to sound depressing, but I think we put a lot of pressure on that word. Sometimes love is looking at someone and going, ‘This is not good for you. This is not good for me.’

"That’s a hard thing to face. But when you do, I think you grow."

If a new man were to come into her life, what would Kelly be looking for? She explained, "I told a friend [that a potential partner] would have to be an individual that brings their own life to the table without needing anything from me.

"It’s far more romantic to say, ‘I want you, but I don’t need anything.’ I’m really good right now, I’m having a good time."

Naga Munchetty has quit BBC Breakfast after almost two decades.

The move comes as the broadcaster, 51, has been announced as the new co-presenter of BBC Radio 5 Live’s flagship Breakfast Show, taking the helm from January.

"I'm thrilled to be joining 5 Live Breakfast," she said, explaining, "Live news, great conversations and connecting with audiences are what I love most about broadcasting, and 5 Live does all of that brilliantly."

Addressing her departure, Naga added, "It has been a privilege to be part of the BBC Breakfast TV team for the past 17 years, working alongside an incredibly talented and hard-working group of journalists."

However, she added that "presenting a flagship programme on 5 Live is an opportunity that was simply too good to pass up… I'm really looking forward to throwing myself into the role."

This morning current 5 Live Breakfast hosts, Rachel Burden and Rick Edwards, announced that they will step down in December. As part of the changes, Rachel will move to present Naga’s current weekday mid-morning programme Monday to Wednesday 11-2pm.

Rachel said, "After 15 years hosting 5 Live Breakfast, I’ve decided it’s time for a change - and I’m really excited about launching my new show on the station. It’s been an absolute joy and privilege to be part of our listeners’ mornings for all these years. We have been through life-changing events together - from the pandemic to huge political moments, and great sporting journeys."

"They are my extended family, and we’ll carry on doing what we do best - telling stories, sharing experiences and working out the world together. Just this time, on a little bit more sleep!"

The changes come after Naga was accused of workplace bullying and reportedly put under investigation, however the outcome of said inquiry has not been publicly revealed.

Kate Garraway marked a significant milestone in her relationship with Liam Halligan over the weekend, sharing one of the first photos of them together on her social media.

The Good Morning Britain presenter reposted a photo of the group of friends, including Kate and Liam, celebrating someone’s birthday. Sharing the post to over half a million of her X followers, Kate added, "We love you James!" to her post, a nod to the birthday celebrant in question.

However, the birthday boy has slightly been overshadowed by the significance of Kate’s first post with Liam. In a move that’s often dubbed ‘hard-launching’ or ‘going official’, sharing a photo of one’s partner on social media is perceived as confirming that they are an official item.

It was only a couple of months ago, at this year’s RHS Chelsea Flower Show, that Kate first publicly addressed the rumours that she’d been starting up a new relationship with Liam. .

She told reporters there of the budding romance, "It is lovely. We basically haven’t really had time for a proper date! I don’t want to jinx it! I don’t want to say anything because I will jinx it! I will jinx it."

She added, "We all love an Irishman, don’t we?"

When asked if the pair were hoping to find the time to properly date, she joked that Liam has been hoping for the same. “He says to me, 'Now we're in the papers, is there a chance we can actually have some dates?'"

Born and raised in London to an Irish family, Liam is an economic journalist and the presenter of The Telegraph’s Planet Normal podcast.

While Kate had kept things relatively quiet at the start of their dating, Liam addressed the speculation early on, telling Talk TV, "I’ve known Kate for years and we’ve recently become close. We laugh a lot and really enjoy each other’s company."

“We’ve known her for a long time, I knew Derek [Kate’s former husband], I was a political commentator, of course I knew him. In recent years for different reasons, we have both become single, against our wishes, so, in recent weeks and months, Kate and I have become good friends.

Liam is the first man Kate has been linked to since the loss of her husband, Derek Draper in 2024.

After a lengthy battle that Kate documented in two books, The Power of Hope and The Strength of Love, Derek suffered a cardiac arrest before passing away in early 2024.

Elizabeth Hurley and Billy Ray Cyrus’s love story is still going strong - and a shared passion of the simple life is, perhaps surprisingly, at the heart of it all.

Despite their perceived differences - something Elizabeth accepts might strike people as odd from the outside - she revealed in an interview with E! News that their mutual interest in all things nature and country living is something that’s given them “a really lovely life”.

With menopause being a long-running topic of conversation on the podcast, the pair have taken discussions around the subject one step further. Zoe and Jo have now channelled their signature humour to come up with the idea of creating the ultimate menopause playlist.

During a recent episode, Zoe declared, "We are making Meno-play… Songs that reflect your mood and symptoms during the menopause."

While the pair were sharing this in good fun, it’s further proof of the power in breaking down taboos and talking openly about symptoms that might be more common than people realise. Menopause fatigue and sleep issues affect many women, with various therapies on offer to help manage the change in sleeping patterns.

Zoe would also put Anxiety by Doechii on the list. For the presenter, this is reclaiming one of the worst symptoms which she has talked about in an earlier episode, sharing her battle with ‘crippling anxiety’ that left her struggling to work.

Previously, the radio DJ opened up on needing to go on anti-depressants after being overwhelmed with anxiety. "When I was doing the Breakfast Show, I had horrific anxiety. That was my worst sort of symptom and that involved panic attacks, not being able to breathe, a lot of tears, quite a low mood and it was quite frightening at times.

"I did go on anti-depressants for a while for my anxiety, but I'm off those now and I'm really glad to be off those, but they did help for a little period of time.

"It's difficult with things like this because sometimes you are not sure what is what. You don't know whether some of your symptoms are coming from things in life or mainly menopause so you have to try these things."

When fans of the podcast pitched in with their ideas, there were two clear themes that emerged - some were humorous, others were all about empowerment.

Tamzin Outhwaite is part of the 'sandwich generation' caught between looking after children who are still living at home, and the needs of ageing parents who might be in need of care themselves.

Many women also juggle this challenging stage of life while dealing with perimenopause and menopause, and it can come fraught with hard decisions to make.

The most emotive decision seems to be whether or not to place elderly parents into care homes when the time comes. Tamzin decided to move her father in with her when he needed extra care, and has spoken about the "wonderful" side of this.

"Dad has been living with us for eight and a half years," the actress tells The Telegraph, explaining that 80-year-old Colin "has survived prostate cancer, lung cancer, skin cancer."

The actress reveals that at the moment, Colin is "going through chemo" and "is not very well at all." She had her dad his own cabin built at her property to bring him close to her family home where she lives with children Flo, 18, and Marnie, 13.

While she dedicates some of her time to "checking he is all right," which includes "bringing back all of his plates and cups as he only has a kitchenette," she also spends time "hanging out with him."

Tamzin enthuses that, "They say multi-generational living helps people to live longer." Reflecting on what is so good about the set-up for her children, she shares, "What is wonderful is the kids would never have spent so much time with their granddad."

Tamzin lost her mother, Anna Santi, to a sudden heart attack in 2018 at the age of 67. She's been open about the grief she needed to work through after this happened, as well as expressing fears something similar could happen to her.

Earlier this year, when her dad Colin turned 80, Tamzin shared a series of pictures of him to Instagram, sharing joy at her decision to bring him to live in the cabin at her home.

The actress wrote in the caption that she believed living with her and her daughters "has kept him going." She said, "Basically you are still thriving and surviving with a decent amount of joy and fun on a daily basis."

Tamzin added, "We thought we were losing him a few times" while sharing that "having a cabin built in the garden for him to see out his end of life, was one of my better decisions."

She reflected on the times "we kept him safe through covid lockdowns" by having him so close, and how this allowed her children to "chat through windows" and for her to "take him meals."

For the actress, it appears the close relationship her dad has been able to have with his grandchildren is the thing she most values from the setup.

"It has been such a pleasure of mine to watch you and Marnie and Flo form bonds I dreamt about, and I am so proud of all of us for navigating through some difficult times," she penned.

While caring for both children and her dad, Tamzin still makes sure to carve out time for herself.

"The best money I ever spent was a tiny one-person sauna that is in my spare bedroom," she explains, adding that "It’s not flash, but it does the job brilliantly."

She continues, "It’s just a 13-amp plug and doesn’t need a special generator. I have a sauna probably five times a week. I’ll sit in it for anything between 20 and 40 minutes and have a little meditate."

BBC's The Rapture has every element needed for a show that viewers won't be able to stop talking about.

The five-part psychological thriller carefully combines elements of trauma, mental health, the supernatural and a good dollop of climate change, with unmissable results.

Airing on BBC One and iPlayer from July 26, The Rapture is based on Liz Jensen's novel of the same name, and is set during a heatwave - anyone who has been living through the last couple of months in the UK will relate to this instantly, and this is also where the climate change element of the story comes in.

The trauma and supernatural branches come from the unravelling story between psychologist Dr Gabs Fox (Ruth Madeley) and a teenage psychiatric hospital patient called Bethany Krall (India Amarteifio.)

Dr Fox suffers a life-altering car accident that leaves her husband dead, and her paralysed and wheelchair bound. Back at work in a new job and dealing with a lot of anguish, she's assigned the case of 17-year-old inmate Bethany.

Bethany was sectioned for brutally killing her mother, Carys Krall, simply because she'd prophesised the way she'd die before it happened. Her father Leonard Krall (Sam Hazeldine) leads an online spiritual movement/possible cult called Faith Way, and has vast numbers of followers.

Bethany is the intriguing focal point of the story because she can pluck private details of people's lives from nowhere, claiming she has visions of the future. Her named nurse alarmingly insists Bethany’s predictions always come true.

Working with Bethany forces Dr Fox to reassess everything she thinks she knows. Can people really see into the future and can supernatural forces be at work that have zero clinical explanation?

Is the doctor being manipulated by a teenager with a wild imagination and a bit of luck on her side? Did Bethany really kill her mother and did her father's line of 'work' have any involvement?

It's not only the characters who have big questions, it's viewers who will also be left wondering about life and its existential possibilities.

There's not only all of this to look forward to in the show, but the cast is absolutely stellar, bringing the drama - and the questions - together perfectly.

Alongside Ruth Madeley and India Amarteifio at the helm, you'll also find Iwan Rheon (Game of Thrones), Jack Farthing (Industry), Stephen Campbell Moore (Masters of the Air), and Ruth Jones (Gavin & Stacey) among the talented actors showcasing their skills.

Speaking about The Rapture, Ruth Madeley says, "There are so many themes. There’s climate change, there’s mental health issues, there’s disability, there’s general female life."

She continues, "The great thing is that the story is so compelling. It’s a psychological thriller, so there’s a lot going on, and its high stakes all the time. The way these subjects are woven into the world of The Rapture is really beautiful."

Reflecting on the original novel, India Amarteifio shares, "What’s amazing about Liz Jensen’s book is that it was written over a decade ago, but if anything, it’s more relevant now in terms of climate change, how we treat people with mental health needs, and how we also, as a society, ostracise people who need the most help."

"It’s important to talk about that, because it is an actuality of what’s going on. I guess the fact that we get to tackle those issues head on is something I’m proud to be a part of."

The Rapture airs on BBC One and iPlayer from July 26.

From international musicians to Oscar-winning Hollywood stars, Jennifer Lopez’s dating history is not entirely relatable to the average person.

However, JLo proved she still understands what women really want when she revealed what she really finds “sexy” in a man during her performance at the Dolce & Gabbana fashion show in Sicily.

The iconic singer and actress insisted her love really doesn’t cost a thing because, for her, the sexiest thing a partner can do is be thoughtful and helpful, such as “seeing them make the bed in the morning” or “wash the dishes”.

During her performance, JLo told the crowd, “You know what really makes a man attractive? It’s not the watch. It’s not the car. It’s not the private jet. It really isn’t, although that’s nice.

“It’s seeing them make the bed in the morning or wash the dishes for you when you’re tired at night. Now that’s what I call sexy. Because ladies, you know, we do all the things. We do all the things.”

Fern Britton has recently opened up about the "brutal" nature of her four children leaving home and the empty nest they left behind.

Now, she's offered a look at the most memorable good and bad times throughout her life during a candid interview, and shared the "worst" moment from being married.

The 68-year-old was married to TV executive Clive Jones from 1988-1998. She later married celebrity chef Phil Vickery after meeting on the set of Ready Steady Cook - the couple married in 2000 before announcing their separation in 2020.

The statement announcing their split read: "After more than 20 happy years together, Phil and I have decided to go our separate ways. We will always share a great friendship and our lovely children."

Fern shares twin sons Jack and Harry, 31, and daughter Grace, 28, with Clive Jones, and daughter Winnie, 23, with Phil Vickery.

However, it appears some of of the memorable bad days from her time being married loom large for the presenter. When asked by The Telegraph to reveal the "worst" thing about marriage, her response is quite visceral.

"That moment when you hear the key in the lock and your heart sinks because things haven’t been going well," she says, adding that she'd hear the key and wonder, "What’s the mood? What’s the temperature?"

Although she doesn't state which marriage she's referring to, the presenter says she'd be left with a feeling of "here we go again" when her husband came home.

Speaking to Yours about her marriage breakdown recently, Fern shares, "There comes a point when the children are substantially off your hands and you look at each other and wonder where you’re going to go from here."

She continues, "We didn’t hit a brick wall. It’s just that we both said out loud what we were feeling – and that was it," as she sadly reveals the couple haven't spoken in "six years" after Phil "stopped talking" to the presenter after her mother died.

Fern is now happily single and living in Cornwall. "I’m not even looking. Nor is there a queue of suitors at the door, which I find liberating," she says.

Speaking about what she loves most about living in the county, Fern shares, "Being there, the whole experience. I just love it."

"It’s the first thing I think of when I wake up in the morning. I can hear the sea on a quiet day. There’s nothing to beat the smell of spring, the hedgerows full of cow parsley and pink campion."

"I was running up the lane the other day and I saw a Jenny wren, so beautiful, so tiny, singing in a tree and then following me as I continued to run."

Sophie Raworth has had a difficult few years, dealing with the death of her father, and also of her dear friend George Alagiah.

Around the time her dad's health deteriorated, the presenter's mother was diagnosed with bowel cancer and normal pressure hydrocephalus.

Sophie spoke very candidly about grief, loss and watching her mother become so unwell, during a recent interview with Saga magazine.

The presenter had worked with George Alagiah when they hosted the BBC's Six O' Clock News together, and she named her daughter Georgia after him. He died from bowel cancer in 2023 at the age of 67.

"George had so much chemotherapy," Sophie explains, adding, "the side effects were awful, but he never complained."

She later had to announce his death on the news, and "dug my nails into my palms really hard" while delivering information, because "it was the only way to get through it without breaking down."

Her father Richard passed away last year aged 67, after suffering from Parkinson's disease.

Days later she was fronting the BBC's coverage of the VE Day celebrations, and unsurprisingly felt "in a complete daze."

"It didn't seem real," she shares, but does say having a job to do helped, offering something "to focus on."

Under even more devastating circumstances, at the time George died and her father's condition began to deteriorate, the presenter's mother, Jenny received her devastating diagnosis.

Normal pressure hydrocephalus is a rare brain disorder, with Sophie explaining, "Your spinal fluid doesn't drain, and presses on your brain."

Sadly, the condition also affect movement, and Sophie shares, "Mum can't move. She's in a wheelchair which is really hard because she was always so active."

Jenny now has live-in carers, and Sophie visits "at least once a week."

The presenter, also famous for her love of running and keeping fit, reveals she copes with difficult feelings brought about by grief and loss by just going out "to run and run."

"Running is so simple," she explains, adding, "one foot in front of the other, but it gives you such a sense of progression and purpose."

She continues, "My mind clears, you zone out, even though you're physically working hard. It's such a peaceful place to be."

The 58-year-old didn't actually start running until she was 38. She previously told us at woman&home more about the mental benefits of running.

"A lot of the time I run on alone. It is an escape," she says, continuing, "I’ve got a busy job with people talking in my ear while I am on air. When I’m running, it’s quiet, and I really value that."

The presenter shares, “Running has made me more resilient, like I can cope with anything."

Granite Harbour is back for a third series, and this one is set to be the most "intriguing" and "emotional" so far, as the cast urge viewers to "not trust anyone" when they tune in.

Showcasing phenomenal Scottish talent and equally incredible filming locations in the country, the latest three episodes are definitely worth your time when they air on BBC One from July 24 at 8pm.

This time, the Major Investigations Team are drawn into a complex murder investigation when teenager Lisa Sterling (Jess Douglas-Welsh) disappears into the woods of a prestigious estate owned by Richard Loughty (Alastair Mackenzie).

The young woman had been at a birthday party for the matriarch of a local traveller community when she disappears, and Lisa's body is later found at the bottom of a ravine.

Of course, there are bumps in the road during the investigation, and the mystery of Lisa's death becomes much darker than viewers would ever expect.

Describing the series as "Intriguing, emotional and heartfelt," John Gordon Sinclair (Chief Constable Alan Willis) is one of the "legendary" actors joining the show for series 3.

Speaking of his character, a wealthy estate owner, fellow newcomer Alastair Mackenzie (Richard Loughty) says, "Cracks begin to appear in this charming veneer of his when sketchy things start happening on his estate and things go from bad to worse for him."

He warns viewers, "Maybe there’s more to him than meets the eye…. Don't trust anyone."

Where is Granite Harbour filmed?

Granite Harbour is filmed in Aberdeenshire, particularly in well known locations such as Castlegate in the Aberdeen's centre, and Broad Street in the city, one of the city's oldest medieval thoroughfares.

Other iconic locations can be seen in the series, including Marischal Square, North Silver Street and Provost Skene’s House.

For Romario Simpson (DC Davis Lindo,) his favourite part of Aberdeen is "the esplanade along the coast." He says, "You can drive alongside it and take in the coastline. It's a beautiful part of the city."

For Hannah Donaldson (DS Lara ‘Bart’ Bartlett), she is enamoured with "Footdee (aka Fittie)," saying, "We have to keep making shows about Scotland and the people who live here. I can’t tell anyone else’s stories better than my own."

"It’s something I feel very strongly about. We have a wealth of talent here that should be given the platform to tell our stories and share them to the wider world. Isn’t that what art is all about?"

Call The Midwife star Helen George has had a challenging romantic life since splitting from her husband Jack Ashton, but usually remains private about her love life.

The actress met Jack during filming for the Call The Midwife Christmas special and they began dating in 2016. Their daughters Wren and Lark were born during their time together, and the couple announced their separation in 2023.

In 2025 Helen began dating an unnamed man, who sadly died of leukaemia shortly after they got together.

She later met businessman Dan Innes, and the couple moved in together earlier this year. However, after hinting at difficulties in the relationship on Instagram, Helen has now divulged further insight into her feelings about the split, confirming it in the process.

During the Mystic Mates podcast she hosts with friend Yvette Robinson, Helen opened the latest episode by saying, "I was having a really rubbish day yesterday, it's been a week."

Yvette shares that between the friends there's been "tears, and voice notes with lots of tears," with Helen confirming, "It's been pretty s**t and yesterday was a hard day."

With their podcast being concerned with tarot, astrology and spirituality, Yvette later gives Helen a card reading - and the results are not what the star had hoped for.

One of the cards indicated "negativity," with Yvette's interpretation confirming, "There have been good things with your love life, but it's been challenging."

Another card represents Helen "walking away from something challenging, away from the life that you had, into the unknown." Yvette also believed there would be "challenges ahead" in Helen's romantic life.

"Don't you think I've had enough challenges?" Helen asks, adding sadly, "I've had enough."

Helen later says with sarcasm, "I feel really revived to know I'm facing further challenges, so thank you so much."

Shortly after her breakup with Dan, Helen posted some quotes to Instagram that alluded to what went wrong in the relationship.

One quote read: "I absolutely take responsibility for when I am wrong. But I will never apologise for responding to disrespect. If you lit the match, do not stand in the flames pretending to be the victim."

The actress also reveals during her podcast that the man she was dating who passed away, sometimes gives her messages through clairvoyants and appeared "unhappy" about her romance with Dan.

"I went to this clairvoyant last week and she said, 'This is your ex-boyfriend, and he died very suddenly after you started dating him. He's come into the room because he's not very happy about your situation,'" she explains.

She continues, "It was wonderful to think this person, whom I didn't really know for that long, was there," concluding, "He was angry that he'd left me looking for someone else and then finding someone else who wasn't suitable."

Daytime television across both BBC One and ITV will look different this summer, with Rachel Burden making a permanent exit from BBC Breakfast, and both Lorraine and Loose Women on hiatus until September as part of ITV's cost cutting measures.

Good Morning Britain will also take on a new look for some time as Susanna Reid has announced she'll be taking a break from hosting duties.

The presenter was supported by viewers and colleagues, including Kate Garraway, as she made the announcement on social media.

Sharing a picture of herself on the Good Morning Britain sofa wearing the red floral dress she wore for her final show before the summer, paired with some comfortable slippers, Susanna wrote on Instagram:

"SHOES OFF, OUT OF OFFICE ON! Time for my summer break - but also time to say goodbye to our wonderful Director Stuart Earl, who has been the champion of this programme for a decade. Thank you for everything Stuart."

The presenter continued to say that she and Ed Balls "Will be back September 1st after our travels," while adding, "THANK YOU to our amazing viewers for watching and for contacting us and sharing your views."

Susanna concluded her post in a very tongue-in-cheek way by saying, "Never a 'waste of time being on this brilliant programme, and thanks to everyone on Team Good Morning Britain."

It's thought the "never a waste of time" reference is a nod to the time Reform MP Robert Jenrick appeared on the show recently to be interviewed by Ed and Susanna.

In an awkward aside, the Reform MP could be heard saying, “Well that was a waste of time” after his interview with the hosts.

As the Reform UK treasury spokesperson logged off the call with the presenters and they began their their next segment, it became clear he hadn't fully disconnected his microphone as he's clearly heard saying, "Well that was a waste of time."

Addressing the moment live on air, Ed Balls says, "Oh dear," before disagreeing with the MP to suggest he didn't think the interview was a waste of time, and it was "good that he came on the programme."

With Susanna now of for her summer adventures, Kate Garraway jumped into the comments to say, "We’ll miss you both Susanna and Ed, and Stuart - we’ll miss you so much - good luck with your next adventure!"

Diane Morgan is one of the country's current queens of comedy. Her brilliant turns in shows like Motherland, Mandy and Last One Laughing reveal just how great she is at comic writing, acting and improv.

Currently riding high on our screens as humanoid robot Linda in the delightful Ann Droid, only Diane could mastermind something that perfectly satirises the state of the nation and the AI takeover, while touchingly covering themes like grief and loneliness.

However, it's a good thing that Diane got a break into the industry she's so successful in, because a stint working in a dentist's before she made it big nearly ended in disaster.

Appearing on BBC Radio 2 to chat to host Rylan Clark (who makes a brilliant cameo in Ann Droid,) Diane recalls the hilarious true story that leaves Rylan incredulous.

Rylan reveals, "Diane accidentally knocked out a patient's front tooth while working as a dental assistant."

Not believing this, he asks her to clarify. Diane responds with, "All right, yea, I knocked someone's tooth out," with her typical deadpan demeanour.

"Why did you knock someone's tooth out?" Rylan asks, horrified and his voice rising in octaves.

Diane explains that she was "daydreaming through the window" at the time of the incident, holding the aspirator - the device to suction out debris from the patient's mouth during procedures - in her hand.

Realising the dentist had been calling her name to get her attention, the actress shares that she "came to" from her daydream and "shoved" the aspirator into the patient's mouth "with such force, that I knocked the cap off their front tooth."

With his hands covering his mouth in disbelief, Rylan needs to know what happens next.

"It was lying in the middle of their tongue," Diane replies, fairly nonchalantly. She continues, "The dentist looked at me like, 'That's not good, you're fired.'"

Incredibly, Diane wasn't actually fired. The story ends with the dentist "gluing it back on," and "everything was fine."

Knowing that being a dental assistant definitely wasn't for her, and acting definitely was, Diane revealed more about getting her break into industry during a recent interview with The Independent.

Struggling to find work after leaving Essex’s East 15 acting school, fellow actress Maxine Peake encouraged Diane to get in touch with Peter Kay to see if he'd help her get a foot in the door.

She wrote to him to say, "I love what you do. If you ever make anything else, I’m happy to do anything. I’ll make the sandwiches, hold the coats."

He remembered, and gave her a small role in Phoenix Nights, playing background character Dawn. "He gave me this little part and I was so grateful. I’ll never forget that. That was really nice of him," she recalls.

For the next 10 years, Diane balanced picking up other small acting roles with regular jobs to pay the bills. Reading like an episode list from her hit show Mandy, these included packing worming tablets, selling Avon and peeling potatoes at a chip shop.

During this time, the infamous incident at the dentist's occurred while she took a job there as an assistant.

The actress believes her working class roots stopped her getting some of the acting roles she definitely could've nailed.

"I think if I was middle-class and I’d been to Cambridge, people would have had more confidence in what I was doing," she says.

Diane concludes, "I certainly don’t think I’ve been given opportunities because I’m working-class. I’ve proved myself."

Netflix has done it again, and added another unmissable addition to their catalogue of true crime documentaries.

Following in the footsteps of the recent Maternal Instinct, Should I Marry A Murderer? and the Worst Neighbor Ever series, comes A Toxic Love Story.

The one-off film, airing from July 22, tells the incredible story of Ian and Angela Diaz. When violent threats are made against Angela, the finger is immediately pointed at Ian's former partner Michelle Hadley - the case seems a straightforward one.

However, as Michelle spends time behind bars the real truth emerges, and it's not long before investigators open up a horrifying web of deceit.

What did Ian and Angela Diaz do?

Ian Diaz was a deputy U.S. marshal who purchased a condo in Anaheim near Disneyland, in June 2015. He made the purchase with his then fiancee Michelle Hadley, who'd been the one to make the down payment on the property.

The couple secured a joint mortgage together, but when their relationship ended, the pair ended up in an ongoing dispute over their former home.

Ian met a new partner, Angela Connell, and the couple married in 2016 while Ian was still having issues about the condo with Michelle.

Soon after they were married, Ian and Angela started getting threatening emails from someone calling themselves "Lilithistruth." The emails continued, using similar religious undertones implied by the handle - Lilith is a name associated with female demons.

Disturbingly, "Lilithistruth" even began responding to "rape fantasy" ads posted on Craigslist. According to The Washington Post, men post advertisements on the site soliciting women who are "willing to engage in sex resembling rape."

A woman identifying herself as Angela Diaz responded, allegedly telling the men she wanted "forcible sexual intercourse even if she screamed or resisted."

Angela maintained someone was responding to the ads impersonating her, reporting to the police that men were arriving at her house to act out their fantasies because of them.

Police acting on a report she made claiming attempted rape found visible redness on her neck and breasts, and her clothing ripped.

Bodycam footage seen during the documentary shows Angela describing to the police how she'd been "grabbed from behind" and "choked" by men coming to her home because of the Craigslist ads.

With Ian and Angela constantly suggesting all evidence pointed to Michelle Hadley being "Lilithistruth", she was arrested and charged in 2016, and spent 88 days in prison while she awaited trial. She faced a life sentence if convicted.

However, while Michelle was being held, investigators took a closer look at the case and made some shocking discoveries.

Michelle hadn't been the person behind the threatening emails and ad responses, Angela had sent them to herself, and fabricated every aspect of the story to frame Michelle.

Angela is said to have used virtual private networks and third-party servers to make it look like Michelle was behind the emails.

Investigators had to work hard to remove IP address disguises and found the messages had actually come from Angela's condo and mobile phone, and her father’s home in Arizona.

As well as framing Michelle, Angela was also accused of faking a pregnancy and cancer, forging doctor’s notes, posing as an attorney and forging a check.

At the time, there was no evidence Ian was involved in his wife's scheme. However, he was arrested in 2021 on federal charges of cyberstalking, conspiracy to commit cyberstalking and perjury.

News reports suggest prosecutors and law enforcement did not reveal why it had taken five years to charge him in connection with the crime. Michelle Hadley was exonerated of all charges.

Where are Ian and Angela Diaz now?

Angela Diaz was sentenced to five years in prison in October 2017. She has now served her sentence, but her current whereabouts are unknown.

Ian Diaz was sentenced to 10 years and one-month in prison for conspiracy, cyberstalking, perjury, and obstruction of justice. He remains incarcerated and serving that sentence.

Incidentally, Ian's conviction came on the day Michelle Hadley gave birth to her child, a daughter. In a statement made to NBC News, Michelle said when hearing of Ian's conviction:

"I am so grateful to the [Justice Department Office of Inspector General] for the work they put into this case and to the jury for a conviction that has brought so much peace to my family and restored some of the faith we lost in the justice system as a result of Diaz’s crimes against me."

"My life has been filled by strange, often symbolic, and sometimes beautiful coincidences like this. My daughter represents my rainbow after a very long storm, and my heart has never felt so full."

A Toxic Love Story airs on Netflix from July 22.

After going through a challenging time in her work and personal life, Holly Willoughby needed to take some time out to reset.

She was last seen on screen in early 2025 hosting Celebrity Bear Hunt on Netflix and the final series of ITV's Dancing on Ice. Now the star is set to make her comeback.

From July 28, Holly will be hosting Holly Willoughby Together, a lifestyle series featuring real stories, honest conversation and practical advice.

Viewers can also expect to find celebrity guests, and discussions around fashion, beauty and health. The show will air on YouTube and other digital platforms, and there will be two episodes landing per week.

Holly Willoughby Together comes after a period of careful reflection for the star, who "needed that space away" after it emerged just after she left This Morning nearly three years ago that she'd been the target of a kidnap plot.

News came out that former security guard Gavin Plum had been forming a plan to kidnap, rape and murder Holly - he has since been sentenced to life imprisonment.

"I needed to just immerse myself in my kids and my friends and family. I needed that space in order to know what I actually wanted to do next," the presenter tells Grazia of the time she took away from the spotlight.

Offering more insight into the harrowing incident, Holly shares that at the time, she'd entered her 40s and thought she had everything "worked out."

"Everybody knows what happened and it was difficult," she says, adding, "It did set me back and made me realise, “Right, well of course you haven’t got everything figured out. Of course life is going to keep throwing challenges at you.'"

The presenter continues, "When something like that happens, suddenly everything else gets put into perspective and you know what? I don’t fear what people think because I know what real fear feels like."

Her experience led to the star being able to throw out any worries she had about bringing her lifestyle show to audiences.

"If it doesn’t work, it doesn’t work. But you have to have a go," she says, adding wisely, "What’s the other option? Just sitting scared and never doing a thing again?"

Holly also feels cushioned by the online, digital nature of her series. "On this new platform, people find you and come to you because they’re interested in you," she says, explaining that means she isn't "forced" on people not interested in tuning in.

"I actually feel a little bit safer," she says of doing it this way, because it feels like "less pressure" than airing the series through regular channels.

The presenter's period of growth and reflection also brings a sense of not being afraid to use her voice or "take up space" as a woman.

The team behind Holly Willoughby Together are predominantly female, and when it comes to being a woman in her industry she shares, "I’m not afraid to use my voice any more. When you’re growing up, you’re a bit nervous of the space you take up in the world and I don’t feel like that now."

Holly is now ready to be back in front of the cameras, needing to be sure she felt prepared for the moment.

Looking forward to meeting her audience once again, she concludes, "I’m ready to open the door, the windows, take the roof off, and go, 'Right, come on in.'"

Fans of crime thrillers won't want to miss out on The Crow Girl, airing from July 20 on Channel 5.

The six-part series has so many exciting elements that will reel viewers straight in. It's based on the Scandinavian bestselling novel of the same name by Erik Axl Sund, and has the excellent Eve Myles at the helm as well as a stellar cast of supporting stars.

If Scandi noir is your thing, this particular adaptation of a book also happens to be pitch perfect - stylish, well-acted and perfectly paced.

Both filmed and set in Bristol, the story has been relocated from the its original setting in Stockholm, and it sees Eve Myles' chief inspector Jeanette Kilburn race to track down a serial child killer.

When bodies of young men begin mounting up in the city, DCI Kilburn teams up with psychotherapist Dr. Sophia Craven (Katherine Kelly), to try and get to the bottom of who is responsible as fast as they can.

All of the bodies have the same thing in common - they all have traces of the local anaesthetic lidocaine in their systems.

When Dr. Craven is tasked with assessing a man arrested for possession of child abuse images after one of the bodies is found dumped outside his work office, it leads her and DCI Kilburn on a unsettling path.

The man, Carl Lowry (Trevor White) is a dentist, who happens to have access to lidocaine. The pair discover other high profile men in Bristol could be linked to the mounting body count of young men, and there's suspicions of a potential paedophile ring underway.

Dr. Craven is also quite urgently searching for a patient she once treated. The woman, Victoria, tried to take her own life during a session with the psychotherapist, and hasn't been heard from since.

The appearance of Victoria's character clearly points to her involvement in the story of the missing young men in some way, but how?

Further subplots emerge, including vulnerable men getting involved in forced cage fighting, where lidocaine is administered to keep their pain at bay and keep them throwing punches for longer.

With lidocaine linking all potential suspects, our leading ladies must work out why, and how they could all possibly be involved with the killings.

While they get to the bottom of this, Dr. Craven and DCI Kilburn uncover historical sexual abuse and decades-long patterns of violence, covered up by powerful men and protected by police corruption.

The series really does offer a thrilling watch, and gathered huge amounts of positive reviews when it first aired on Paramount+ in 2025.

The show was so popular, it was renewed for a second season, which airs on Paramount+ the same week season 1 airs on Channel 5.

The second season will also make its way to Channel 5 next year. Speaking about the show to Radio Times magazine, Eve Myles delves into all the different things it's about.

"Yes, it is a chilling and unpredictable thriller but it also shows hope and the fact that there are good people trying to bring down the bad guy," she says.

She continues, "They are swimming against the tide and while some drown, others survive. They survive and they find justice. It’s a show about survivors. It’s about hope."

Almost three years since she left This Morning after 14 years at the helm, Holly Willoughby is launching a new lifestyle series.

Today the presenter, 45, has announced Holly Willoughby Together, a multi platform lifestyle series built around real people, real stories, honest conversation, practical advice, celebrity guests, fashion, beauty, health and more.

The series, which marks Holly’s return to onscreen presenting following 2025’s Bear Hunt and the final series of Dancing on Ice, will be available on YouTube, digital streaming platforms and social media, with the first episode arriving on 28 July.

Speaking about her new chapter and era of presenting, Holly said “I’m so proud of the work all the team who make Together have put into this exciting new project. We’ve had a lot of fun developing it and look forward to seeing what you think.”

With “connection at its core”, the show will cover things that the mum-of-three “genuinely loves”, from healthy living to fashion, beauty and important conversations.

Filmed in a purpose-built studio designed around conversation, the star will be cooking, chatting, learning and problem-solving alongside guests and experts, with a star-studded celebrity line-up including Stanley Tucci, Katherine Ryan, Joanne McNally and her close friends Emma Bunton and Nicole Appleton.

It will centre on five formats. Talk Together will see her have honest in-depth conversations with people who’ve been through extraordinary things, while during Cook Together she’ll make a recipe from her own repertoire or learn from a professional. There will also be a fashion and beauty segment called Look Good Together alongside a health and wellness franchise, Better Together. Finally, Hang Out Together, will see her wind-down with a celebrity guest and drink in preparation for the weekend.

For the project, Holly has teamed up with husband Dan Baldwin’s production company, Hungry Bear Media, in a move away from traditional terrestrial TV. While digital health platform, Voy, which has celebrity ambassadors including Coleen Nolan and Vanessa Feltz, joins as the show’s founding brand partner.

It's approaching the time of year that many parents will be saying goodbye to their children as they head off to university in September.

For some, this will mean having to make a huge adjustment as they come to terms with having an empty house after so many years of their time being dedicated to their offspring.

Presenter Fern Britton has shared her "brutal" experience of her children leaving home, and the lessons she's learned from going through it so many times as a mother-of-four.

Fern shares twin sons Jack and Harry, 31, and daughter Grace, 28, with first husband Clive Jones. She also has daughter Winnie, 23, with second husband Phil Vickery.

Speaking to Kate Thornton on her White Wine Question Time podcast, Fern says of the time her twins left home, "It was definitely brutal, [they were] suddenly gone."

She explains that not only did she have two of her children leaving at once, "they didn't want me to deliver them or anything, so that was very hard."

However, she has "learned some things" from the experience that she wanted to share. She says "there are going to be tensions on the morning" a child leaves, "because there are emotions involved."

She also suggests that young people suddenly become very independent, and will want to carry their own bags and do much of the moving themselves.

Offering her best advice, Fern says, "On the day they actually leave, make sure you've got things to do when you get home." She suggests getting your nails done or having lunch with a friend - find any distraction possible.

The presenter also suggests that parents will agonise over whether to text their children immediately, and how often to message them without looking "controlling."

She also says they will arrive home at Christmas "exhausted, thin, and looking like they've lived on beans on toast," but will come back with an increased appreciated for what their parents have done for them in the years before they left.

Fern also says wisely that if anyone thinks they might get a dog to feed their nurturing instincts and fill the void left by their absent child, to hold off on this for a few months. There's always the chance parents will get used to the quiet house and enjoy it.

The presenter herself says she isn't a dog person, much preferring the company of cats.

"I wouldn't be good with a dog, because I don't want unconditional love," she reveals, adding, "I've never wanted that, it makes me feel uncomfortable."

She continues, "So to come home to a cat, be a slave to cats, I prefer that. Dogs are too much."

In 1996, five girls quite literally high-kicked onto the scene and changed the world with Girl Power.

Despite all the accolades and antics the five women got up to, Mel B - aka Scary Spice - fondly lists spending the day making sandwiches for the "charming and gorgeous" Prince William and Harry as one of the highlights.

Speaking with The Telegraph, Mel was asked her favourite Spice Girls moment. Sharing that it was a toss up between meeting Nelson Mandela, playing Wembley or "spending a day with Harry and William", the pop icon expanded on just what they got up to at Kensington Palace.

She shared, "They were young princes and we made them peanut butter and jam sandwiches in Kensington Palace. They were such cute kids - I can’t remember whether it was William or Harry who had a crush on Emma, but they were so polite and charming and gorgeous."

The Spice Girls and the royals - two iconic British institutions in their own right - have often crossed paths, with King Charles famously getting a cheeky pat on the bum by Ginger Spice (Geri Halliwell Horner) back in the 1990s.

As each of the Spice Girls have continued to find success in other avenues - whether it’s Victoria Beckham and her fashion and philanthropy or Mel B and her advocacy and charity work - royal honours have followed, including reunions with the princes.

Mel explained, "The last time I saw Prince William it was when he was pinning my MBE to my chest in a dress Victoria had made for me, which was just a little bit revealing in exactly the place he pinned the medal to.

"Victoria knew exactly what she was doing when she designed it for me."

As well as fondly recalling the highs of the Spice Girls days, Mel touched on the lows - including the worst moment when Geri quit the band on her birthday.

"Finding out Geri had left us on May 29, 1998. It was on my birthday. We’ve all talked about it since, and I understand why, but at the time it was devastating because I just didn’t know why."

Celebrating 30 years since the release of their debut single, Wannabe, it’s no surprise that Mel B is looking back - but she’s also in a place where she’s never been happier to live fully in the moment, embracing her 50s and a new pace of life.

Describing her perfect days now she’s older, Mel said "I consider great days to be me at home with my dogs and animals on my farm. Walking around my forest or feeding my goats, chickens and ducks is perfection for me. I love the simplicity and peace of it."

Still proving she’s got that rebellious, Girl Power spirit, she also rallied against the idea that hitting your 50s is a negative thing. "I’m bloody proud to be 51”, she declared.

"It’s just the beginning of a different chapter. I’m a firm believer that life gets better. With age comes experience and wisdom, and you care a lot less about what other people think."

Claudia Winkleman has revealed she "hates summer," and a huge amount of people agree with her.

With her darkly gothic looks, and love of a chunky knit and knee-high boots on The Traitors, it's not a huge surprise that the presenter isn't a fan of summer, but it's her reasons for "hating" the season that has left us in stitches.

During a throwback clip, re-shared to coincide with the current heatwave, Claudia tells wellness broadcaster Sarah Powell, "I hate summer, I find it so annoying."

Signalling to a glass of water during an episode of the Wobble podcast, Claudia adds, "I don't like water, I'm offended that that's there."

Listing everything else she loathes about the warmer months, Claudia continues, "I don't like the arrogance, I don't like the summer clothes."

Clearly, she also doesn't like foods associated with summer, and is particularly offended by salad. "I'm never going to be, 'Oh, a salad! - I found this wonderful recipe for beetroot and feta - p*** off," she says directly.

Not holding back, Claudia reveals another of her pet summer-related hates is people "skipping through summer with their toes out."

She continues, "Disgusting with their toes out, eating couscous!" The star even reveals that she "doesn't even have any summer clothes" and once "wore a sweater on the beach."

Claudia has equally very strong ideas about what she prefers in place of the sandals, floaty dresses and light foods of summer.

"I like a stew, a knee-high boot and a heavy coat," she says with yearning for cold, dark nights.

The presenter continues, "I like a pub - I don't like a pub garden. I want indoors, crisps, some dingy corner." She's painted the picture quite vividly.

Although you might expect a backlash to these comments in a country that feels perpetually cold and wet for most of the year, there were actually huge amounts of people agreeing with Claudia.

When the clip was shared to Instagram, it gathered many comments and shares. One person commented, "THIS IS ME! I'm delighted that we've had the longest day and we're heading back towards autumn."

A few suggested they were "counting down the weeks" until autumn, and another wrote, "I get seasonal depression in summer. My body cannot handle the heat, I hate being a sweaty mess all the time and summer clothes are not as comfortable."

With equally fierce opinions as Claudia, another person added, "Louder for those at the back please! The arrogance that everyone’s supposed to love summer has annoyed me since childhood. I can only just tolerate it on the holiday I have to take the children on where there’s swimming pools, endless cocktails & lollipops on hand…".

Lorraine Kelly has shared a touching family update after what has been a challenging year for the presenter.

As well as dealing with ITV budget cuts that saw her long-running daytime TV show have its hours reduced, the presenter's father also tragically passed away.

John Kelly is believed to have slipped on an icy path just before his death in January this year, and the 84-year-old was found injured by some people passing by, but was later pronounced dead at the scene.

While Lorraine has been left devastated by her loss, her father's passing has also opened up a "new beginning," as she shares how her wider family dynamic has now changed in the aftermath of aftermath of their grief.

In conversation with Saga magazine, Lorraine says that when her father was ill in the run up to his death, and since he's passed away, she has become closer with her relatives - particularly her brother, Graham.

Her brother has lived in the Far East for some times, but is now spending more time in Scotland.

“When Dad wasn’t well, it brought us closer, supporting each other," Lorraine shares, adding, "It’s been a tough time, but the conversations you have with your relatives you wouldn’t have had otherwise are amazing."

She continues, "You talk about the past," referring to this time as "a new beginning."

The presenter also has another new beginning on the horizon, with the upcoming wedding of her daughter, Rosie. The 32-year-old is getting married this month in Scotland to her fiancé Steve White.

Lorraine shares that her daughter "has planned it all," herself, and when she's asked if she'd like any help, she's so far been met with, "Don’t worry."

Rosie's 22-month-year-old granddaughter Billie is going to be a bridesmaid, and speaking of watching her daughter walk down the aisle, Lorraine says, "The moment I see her, I’ll be crying."

With her father now gone, Lorraine has also been focussed on looking out for her mother's wellbeing.

Being part of the 'sandwich generation,' Lorraine finds herself in the time of life where she's balancing work with grandparent duties and making sure her daughter is cared for as a new mum, and also making sure her mother is safe.

For many others in a similar situation, this time often raises discussions about whether elderly relatives should stay at home with carers visiting, move into a care home or move in with family members.

Lorraine's mum is very firm about what she wants and has made her feelings clear. Giving her take on this very emotive subject, Lorraine says that ideally she'd like her mother to live with her, because she "isn't in good health."

However, her mum is fiercely independent "like all those war babies are," and wants to remain "self-sufficient" and live by herself.

"I always keep an eye on her but don’t let her know I’m keeping an eye on her," Lorraine explains. She adds that she's already prepared a room for her mother at her own home, and keeps the door firmly open for the time that might come when she changes her mind about living with her daughter.

"I’ve said, "You can stay with us any time for as long as you like," Lorraine shares, continuing, "Her bedroom’s ready, downstairs with an en-suite, but she says, 'No, no, no.'

Nevertheless, Lorraine understands "there might come the day" that changes, because caring for older relatives can be very uncertain, and "you just never know."

Katy Hill was a household name during the nineties and noughties, bursting onto the presenting scene with a breakout role hosting Blue Peter in 1995.

She went on to present Live & Kicking and Top Of The Pops before moving into radio. It was while she was hosting the Heart Radio Breakfast Show in 2017 that she decided to leave broadcasting for good.

After re-training and a lot of hard work, Katy now works as a certified success and confidence coach, recently sharing her knowledge as a keynote speaker at Fearne Cotton's Happy Place festival.

The former presenter has revealed some of the shocking toxic behaviour she experienced during her presenting career that had a lasting impact on her, and pushed her towards a job change.

Appearing on the Should I Delete That? podcast, Katy shares that just after she joined Blue Peter, somebody who worked on the show, who she didn't name, told her she was a "big girl."

The person said, "You're a bigger girl and you don't carry yourself well on camera." She was a size 12-14 at the time.

After having her children, Kaya, now 19, and Akira, now 18, Katy says she was given a trainer by a magazine to "get my baby weight off," and they ran a story using words she'd never said, with the headline, "I'm not going to be a lard arse mum."

Katy says, "It's amazing that I don't, and have never had an eating disorder of any kind," sharing that "most of" the women she worked with at the time suffered with eating difficulties because of the unrealistic beauty standards forced on them.

Now 55, the former presenter offered insight into the moment she realised broadcasting was no longer for her. She wrote on Instagram, "If you don’t define what happiness means to you, you’ll spend your life chasing someone else’s version."

She added, "The same goes for success. I HAD 'success', the job, the house, the family…
all the things. But life felt OFF. So I did something about it."

"I hit pause and trained to be a coach so I could help other people define their version of success and, crucially, LIVE IT!"

Taking to Instagram again after her appearance at the Happy Place wellness festival that took place in London over July 11-12, Katy said, "We laughed, we cried, we hugged, we 'glowed' in the heatwave."

"Everything about the weekend was pure JOY - thanks to the beautiful Fearne Cotton for another unforgettable reminder of the goodness of humans and the power of genuine, authentic connection."

Listing everyone who shared space with her at the festival, Katy signed off with, "I’ll share more when I come up for air but wow! And THANKYOU Fearne for all that you are."

"And thanks to everyone for the hugs and chats and kindness walking around the festival… what beautiful souls it attracts!"

Whether it’s citing Shakespeare soliloquies spur of the moment or embodying some of the finest roles across stage and screen, Dame Judi Dench is one of Britain’s most celebrated acting legends.

However, she’s got a devious side to her, as she revealed on an appearance on the BBC’s This Natural Life podcast, where she confessed to posting a rat through a neighbour’s letterbox.

If it somewhat softens the blow, this was a prank from Dame Judi’s childhood, and not something that happened this week. And the Philomena star admitted that the childhood prank was a "terrible story".

Sharing her wild child anecdote, Judi explained that it all stemmed from her brothers playing outdoors - and losing their balls over the fence.

She said, "The boys used to play cricket in the garden, and they used to be always batting the balls over into the other gardens, and there was a lady called Miss Lazenby, and she never ever would throw the ball back, or give us the balls back.”

Many can relate to having that type of neighbour, sure, but most wouldn’t expect how they planned their payback. Dame Judi continued, "Once the boys found a dead rat in the barn, and they parcelled it up, and they said to me, ‘Judi, will you just go round and put this through Miss Lazenby’s door?’"

The children then wrote a note saying, ‘Please give us our balls back’ and attached it to the rat. Paper might have been better, but such is the benefit of hindsight.

As Judi shared, "So I did go and squeeze it through Miss Lazenby’s door”. As to whether their idea worked and they got their ball back? "Probably not… I don’t think we were allowed to play cricket again."

Not quite the story one would expect from Dame Judi. However, one might expect her to be full of tales of the stage and of defining moments of history, which is exactly what’s being teased with the recently announced second episode of her Sky series, Tea with Judi Dench.

Set to air on Sky Arts and NOW in August, Sir Ian McKellen will visit Judi’s stunning home and gardens where the pair share extraordinary tales from their unparalleled careers.

As well as reflecting on ‘success, failure and the importance of never taking either too seriously’ Sir Ian ‘speaks movingly about coming out, his defining role in the fight against Section 28, and one of his greatest regrets; never sharing the truth about himself with his parents.’

The first of this series featured Judi being visited by Sir Kenneth Branagh, and it allowed fans to get a sneak peek into her magnificent gardens.

Set in Surrey, Dame Judi's six-acre estate includes a private woodland and a stunning collection of trees planted in honour of friends and family members, with recent additions including a crab apple tree planted in the memory of Dame Maggie Smith.

Jo Whiley is known for her upbeat and positive attitude, be it on her Radio 2 show or chatting with pal Zoe Ball on their Dig It podcast.

But, speaking in the September issue of woman&home, Jo - who recently turned 61 - has admitted she has had some low points of late, having to deal with parental illness, meaning she had to put her usual routine and life to the side.

She said, “Things have been hard on a personal level lately, but they are better now than they were. My mum had a back operation over Christmas, and for a long time, all I was doing was going to the hospital and sitting with Mum and Dad.

“That became my whole world. Dad has Parkinson’s, and it was just about getting through each day and being there for them. Talking about the practical level of having a sibling with learning disabilities is really important too.

“My parents listened to my podcast when I talked about what a nightmare Christmas was, so I got a warning from them about sharing too much, and I have to respect that. I also got told off by my mum for swearing, and that was a learning curve!

“When life got busy, exercise and seeing my friends were the first things to go.”

And, after a period of not hitting her regular fitness goals, Jo - who has four children with husband Steve Morton, who she married in 1991 - undertook a half marathon, and it spurred her on to get back into self-care.

“Self-care is so important. Friends say that exercise keeps them sane, and I agree,” she said, adding, “For me, it isn’t about how you look, it’s about feeling like yourself again, those endorphins flowing, and having a little bit of time that’s just for you.

“I did a half-marathon recently, which was stupid when I hadn’t trained, but it made me realise how much I hate not exercising and what an unhappy person it makes me. Now I’m back doing weights and swimming, and it helps my head so much.”

However, it isn’t all hitting the gym, Jo still has plenty of time for fun - even though her ability to stay up as late has diminished over the years.

“I prefer hosting parties at home over going to them. We have a ‘club’ called Miniscule of Sound in a shed in the garden, which has a disco ball, dry ice and a DJ booth,” she said. “The last party was still banging at 5.20am. I’d had a pillow over my head since 3.30am, and eventually I had to go down there in my pants and a sweatshirt, shut off the dry ice and ask them to stop. They were very good about it and went to another party!”

As well as her radio and podcast with Zoe, Jo also hosts one called Roots for the Royal Horticultural Society, which has meant she has got to meet and interview with likes of Monty Don and Dame Mary Berry. However, the person that really got to her - and forced her to change her mind on something - was Dame Judi Dench.

“Those are genuinely pinch-yourself moments because they’re people I’ve admired for years. The second Judi starts speaking, you listen.

“We sat in her garden drinking champagne and chatting, and I came away thinking that I should always have champagne on the go. I want to be as rock ‘n’ roll as Judi.

“Judi inspired me to stop decluttering. I’d been going through a phase of clearing things out at home.

"When I walked into Judi’s house, every room was filled with memories – family photos, drawings, little keepsakes – the whole place felt full of love. I came away thinking home isn’t about having everything neat and perfect, so I put all of my family photographs back up.”

Diane Morgan has reached national treasure status. She's a woman who can write incredible comedy, act with the most impeccable comic timing, and loves dogs - of course she's adored around the world.

Adding to her list of iconic TV characters, Philomena Cunk, Mandy Carter and Motherland's Liz being among them, Diane now gifts the world Linda - an artificially intelligent humanoid robot in her latest series, Ann Droid.

Airing on BBC One and iPlayer from July 17, there's six episodes of Ann Droid, and we already know that's not going to be enough.

As Linda, a second hand AnnDroid Z58/100 Basic Eldercare Robot, Diane's character is tasked with caring for elderly grieving widow Sue (Sue Johnston,) when her son moves out and she needs some help around the house.

Except Linda's brand of care involves blasting inappropriate music at Sue, and interrupting her private moments as her cheaper model of robot fails to bring a deeper, more conscious understanding of human needs to her role.

While the show excellently satirises AI and what the future could look like, it also balances this with a tender look at loneliness in the older generations. Diane still can't believe the series was picked up by the BBC.

She also experienced some unexpected and painful side effects from playing Linda, and shares where she got the inspiration to write the show, which was co-written with Australian comedian Sarah Kendall.

"We pitched it to the BBC and I didn’t really think they’d go for it," Diane candidly tells The Independent. When the show was given the green light, some panic ensued for the actress.

"The penny dropped. I thought, 'Oh my God, I’m going to have to play a robot now. I don’t know how to play a robot.' It’s harder than you think," she shares.

With the help of a movement director, Diane perfected Linda's rigid, robotic movements. The actress also experienced some unwelcome side effects from creating Linda's persona.

"Early on, I thought it’d be really good if I didn’t blink, but it was a stupid decision," she says. Once that decision had been made, she was "locked into that."

She continues that as a result of not blinking, "I’d be outside sometimes, and the wind would be blowing in my eyes and there’d be tears rolling down my face."

The actress also wore special contact lenses to make her eyes look more artificial. "I had these really thick, blue contact lenses, and I thought, 'That’ll look really robotic,' but again, it was really painful," she reveals.

The idea for the series is quite timely, with news and social media filled with stories about the dangers and unique possibilities that comes with AI suddenly becoming the juggernaut it's turned into.

But where did the specific inspiration for the story of Linda and Sue come from? Diane reveals that after reading about robot carers being rolled out in Japan, she was hit with the idea.

"I was talking to my friend about this, and we were laughing because I don’t have kids, so obviously I’ll be looked after by a robot when I’m older," she reveals.

She is however, quite concerned about the impact of AI on our lives. "It’s everywhere now and I don’t know what’s going to happen," she says, adding, "There’ll be some good and there’ll be some bad. I don’t think they’ll kill us all, but you never know."

To incorporate this idea into Ann Droid and make it humorous, Diane says, "We insinuate that in the show, that Linda is one of an older brand of robots that were recalled because of some sort of atrocity that happened with them, and it’s never really gone into."

At 75, former Bond Girl Jane Seymour is still hoping to inspire women everywhere - with both the roles she plays on-screen and the attitude she has off it.

During a panel discussion in Tennessee on July 11, the iconic actress talked about the “privilege” of having a role that celebrates an older woman, and how she hopes this will help cement her as an inspiration for women over 50 to realise that they’ve still got plenty of life in them.

Jane said, "Having [TV series] Harry Wild at this time of my life is just huge for me, to play a woman of a certain age who’s not decided to go live under a rock and then wait for the end of their life".

She continued, "I’m hoping that I’m the poster child for women over 50 to realise that post-menopause, the kids are gone, you may or not have a partner in your life anymore or want one or get one, but life is not over.

"You may have retired, but it doesn’t mean you can’t now use your skill set and your passion for life to do something else with the skills that you have."

In Harry Wild, the Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman star plays a retired professor who becomes an amateur sleuth after she’s mugged. Full of gumption and energy, Jane acknowledges how lucky she feels to have the empowered role in her 70s.

She said that she’s glad for a show that she "can actually be the lead in" at her age, and she’s "not just some random grandmother in the background."

Embracing her age while still wanting to be active and vital is important to her. As she explained, “I’m not trying to play younger than I am. I’m just trying to be authentically my kind of age span and tell those stories. And I’m privileged."

This idea of not trying to turn back the clock but change how others perceive women over a certain age is something she’s been vocal about in the past. Previously, speaking to People, Jane discussed how differently women are ageing now compared to the generations that came before.

She told the outlet, "I have to actually wake up in the morning and remind myself how old I am because inside of me, I would say I still feel like I'm maybe about 40 or 50"

"I don't know where all that time went, but I have the energy that I had when I was 40. I turn 75 next year and I'm very sexually active… I kind of have become, in some way, almost a poster child for there is life after 70.

"I look at my mother when she was alive and at 50, I would say she was middle-aged. I don't feel that way at all."

Claudia Winkeman has walked away from her prime-time BBC chat show after just one series.

The Claudia Winkleman Show launched in March and instantly attracted viewers, with the Beeb wanting it to return for a second outing. However, after taking some time to reflect, the former Strictly presenter decided to throw in the towel.

“Sometimes you have to try something to see how it fits, and I realised I was just too nervous to enjoy it,” she explained.

Claudia, 54, added, “I’m incredibly grateful to the BBC for giving me the opportunity, to the guests who agreed to come and chat to me, and the production team who were simply excellent.”

While Ed Havard, BBC’s Director of Entertainment, said, “Claudia’s warmth and quick wit made The Claudia Winkleman Show an absolute joy. Whilst we loved the show, we fully respect her decision and would like to thank Claudia and the brilliant team at So Television for bringing the series to screen on the BBC.”

However, the star, whose popularity has soared in recent years thanks to the success of The Traitors, hasn’t ruled out hosting a similar style show in the future. “Maybe one day I will give it another try, but for now I already have the best jobs in the world and absolutely love the shows I’m doing.”

Debbie's revelation is more rooted in reality, and she realises that her husband has also been lying to her, in a best friend/husband telling fibs double whammy.

While on the brink of an empty nest she also finally works out that her life has been a constant battle to juggle absolutely everything because she's a woman, and now she's reached a "certain age" and is expected to fade into obscurity and hasn't really lived.

Realising she can create her own destiny (aka not be obscure and live any way she wants,) and choosing to continue her friendship with Judith despite the epic lie, Debbie finds herself in an unimaginable situation.

When a mysterious man from Judith's past turns up and a hit goes badly wrong, Judith finds herself in quite a predicament and ends up on the run with Debbie along for the ride.

Hannah Waddingham knows shows like Ride or Die have been done a "million" times before, but also knows how special this one is because of the age of the cast and the notable female-centric way it's been written.

Describing what audiences will love about the series, the actress says it's about "two women being funny with each other, or two women perimenopausal and menopausal - there’s things with guns, things with cars, clever espionage - all of that."

She also did all of her own stunts, and has something special planned for one of the scars she's been left with.

"I’ve never done stunts like this before," she explains, adding, "I’ve got scars and everything, that’s my badge of honour."

For one of her scars, she says, "I think I might have a little tattoo under it."

For Octavia Spencer, she's also completely in love with the way writers Tessa Coats and Matt Miller "subvert expectations" with the script.

She says the pair have "done a wonderful job making an exciting show about women of a certain age, starring women of a certain age," saying their work is "a love letter" to midlife women.

Octavia shares, "We are seeing two women in their prime. Debbie is a mother who is about to have an empty nest."

"For a lot of women who find themselves in that position, or close to retirement age, I think they think life is over, but it’s a new chapter being written. It is empowering in that way."

Good Morning Britain presenter Charlotte Hawkins has been married to her husband, businessman Mark Herbert, for 18 years. The couple share a daughter, 11-year-old Ella Rose.

The couple married after dating for five years, and remaining happy and strong within their union for a total of 23 years must take a lot of work - and Charlotte has offered rare insight into the "rules" she swears by to keep their marriage strong.

According to The Mirror, Charlotte uses "conflict management" to maintain a strong partnership. "You’ve got to treat each other with respect, be each other’s best friends," she shares, saying that she "rarely has disagreements" with her husband.

Charlotte continues, "When you know you’re in it for the long haul, you want to make it work. It’s best to talk about things as soon as possible," wisely suggesting that when couples "bottle everything up," their feelings can come out "in a massive blow-up."

Continuing to share another rule for her marriage, Charlotte continues, "Doing small things that show you care is also important. Sometimes couples can slip into bad habits, or even how they treat each other."

She believes, "As with everything in life, little acts of kindness can go a long way." Balancing a marriage and motherhood is made even more challenging with the presenter's unusual schedule.

When her alarm goes off at 2.30am, most people are only halfway through their sleep for the night, and charlotte reveals it "does have an impact" on her life.

"Sometimes you don’t even know what time of day it is. You go for a little nap and then you wake up thinking, ‘What time is it? What day is it? What have I missed?," she says.

When it comes to her daughter, Charlotte has another "rule" she closely adheres to - Ella Rose doesn't have a mobile phone, and therefore no access to social media.

Pleased to hear about potential government bans on social media for under 16s, Charlotte says, "It’s too much for children at that age and they don’t have the capacity, I don’t think, to be able to deal with the complexities and potential issues that come from that."

Stories from friends and the work she does also reinforce her decision not to allow her daughter to have her own phone - and make her glad she didn't have an online world to contend with when she was younger.

"I know friends whose children have been bullied on social media, and it’s just not worth that risk," she shares, adding, "I look back at my childhood and think, 'My goodness, I’m so glad I didn’t have it.'"

Speaking about the ways in which her job makes her wary of young people having online access, Charlotte shares, "We cover so many stories about parents who’ve lost children because of things that have happened online, and it’s just so heartbreaking."

She continues to explains that she's "staggered by the amount of nastiness out there," that she believes to be "getting worse."

The presenter explains, "People feel they can say anything to anyone. I have no doubt that they wouldn’t say that to someone’s face," concluding, "Good manners and trying to be a good, kind person is so important. We’ve all got to take responsibility for how we treat people."

Alison Hammond doesn't often speak about her relationship with partner David Puttnam, but has recently offered rare insight into their romance.

The 51-year-old presenter has been with her model and massage therapist boyfriend since 2023, and they have a 22-year age gap between them.

Talking about having a 29-year-old partner in midlife, Alison won't take on board any negativity. In conversation with The Mirror, the presenter shares, "It’s nothing to do with anyone else."

She continues, "Yeah, people are going to talk. People do. But that’s their business, not mine."

Speaking with adoration about David and what sounds like a supportive, uncomplicated relationship, Alison confirms, "It’s just easy. I think that’s when you know you’ve got something special."

Giving insight into their bond and respect for each other, Alison continues, "He just sees me for who I am. We choose each other, every day."

While there has been speculation the couple might have wedding bells on the horizon, Alison has a direct response when asked about marriage, putting the rumours to bed for good.

"I don’t think so. We don’t need to! We’re both cool," she reveals. While she doesn't want the official side of marriage, Alison does want a big party to observe their love.

"I just want the big day, so I'm going to have a big summer party," she tells Closer magazine, adding, "I'd love a blessing and celebration of love."

"I'm going to have the beautiful dress, the band, food and drink, everything," she reveals.

The presenter sweetly shares that she'd like her 21-year-old son Aiden to "give her away" on the day of the celebration.

Her This Morning co-star Dermot O'Leary might also have a role, after joking that he should be the one to give her away.

"Dermot keeps going on that he's giving me away. He's absolutely not giving me away," she explains, continuing, "He can be the flower boy who comes down and scatters flowing on the floor at the blessing. That's what he can do."

Not wanting the tradition of a formal marriage, it's no surprise that Alison would shun another aspect of being bound to someone else - taking their name.

"If I marry someone, I want him to take my name. Why does it have to be the other way round? I don't want to be owned by anybody," she says.

Speaking more about Dermot and the importance of their friendship, Alison reveals, "We’re genuinely good friends, and it shows - even though there were stories initially that we didn't get on."

Sharing the real story, she reveals, "Truth is, we adore each other. We’ve been to each other’s houses and our kids know each other… As with any relationship on TV, viewers just needed to let us find ourselves, too."

As for her relationship with David, her son Aiden has given it his seal of approval, something else that was so important for the presenter.

With candour, Alison reveals just what would've happened if Aiden didn't like David: "He’s the man of the house - if they didn’t get on, he wasn’t staying!"

Following in the footsteps of the recent Under Suspicion: Kate McCann, a dramatisation of what happened to Madeleine McCann's mother in the days after she disappeared in Portugal in 2007, Channel 5 added another true-crime drama to the franchise.

Under Suspicion: Tracie Andrews - Lover, Liar, Killer, was due to air on the channel on July 13, but was quietly removed from the schedule just days before the release date.

The one off, feature length drama depicts the horrifying true story behind the 1996 murder of Lee Harvey.

At the time of his death, he was engaged to his girlfriend, Tracie Andrews, who initially said she's witnessed his killing at the hands of a road rage attacker.

Describing the person who'd attacked Lee as somebody with "staring eyes," who struck while the couple were driving to their home in Alvechurch, Worcestershire, it wasn't long before inconsistencies in Tracie's story became clear.

A press conference held on 3 December 1996 was closed early because Tracie gave different timelines to the events surrounding the murder that didn't match her original statement.

Her demeanour and apparent lack of shock was also noted, and soon afterwards it came to light that strands of her hair were found in Lee's hand, indicating a large altercation had taken place between the couple.

It later emerged that the road rage attacker didn't exist, and Tracie had actually stabbed her fiancé 42 times with a pen knife following an argument during the car journey.

In 1997, Tracie Andrews was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of Lee Harvey, but didn't actually confess until two years later, through a letter to her lawyer.

She was sentenced to 14 years in prison and released in 2011. It's alleged that she changed her name and underwent plastic surgery to alter her appearance on her release from prison, and her current whereabouts remain unknown.

In the wake of the drama being pulled from the TV schedule, viewers have been speculating about the reason. The official line from Channel 5 is that Under Suspicion: Tracie Andrews - Lover, Liar, Killer has been moved for "scheduling reasons" and will be "back soon."

Coinciding with the schedule change comes news that Lee Harvey's family aren't happy about the events surrounding his death being dramatised without their knowledge.

While there is no confirmed link between this and the show being removed from the July 13 listings, Lee's daughter Danielle spoke on social media platform TikTok to express concerns about it having been made.

Informing her followers that "yet another drama" was airing about her father's sad demise, she says, "as always, we are the last ones to know."

Expressing how difficult it is for herself and her family to deal with reignited opinions and comments about what happened to Lee, Danielle says she's "easy enough to find" to have been informed that the drama would be shown.

She does reveal that she doesn't mind her dad's memory being kept alive by such TV shows and documentaries, but wants people to remember that it is "our reality, our nightmare and our life sentence," and the family would've appreciated some warning about something that affects them being filmed.

Just as the ITV budget cuts saw daytime TV overhauled and stars such as Lorraine Kelly often speaking out against such drastic changes to shows for women that were mainly affected, the BBC now has its own shake-up underway.

BBC Breakfast star Rachel burden has confirmed her shock exit from her presenting slot, as scheduling upheavals and other cuts will see changes at the station as part of a £500m savings plan.

Rachel, 51, will be leaving the show after 11 years, and announced her departure on Instagram by sharing a series of behind-the-scenes pictures.

She wrote, "This is my last Sunday on the BBC Breakfast sofa before the schedule changes in September - no complaints there, we have to cut our cloth."

She continued, "But having done this for 10+ years, I just wanted to say a massive thanks to the team who’ve worked through their Saturday nights to put the programme together."

Thanking her colleagues, Rachel signed off with, "Thanks for watching. Here’s to a guaranteed Sunday lie-in."

In June, the BBC announced 550 job cuts in news, and other TV and radio content as part of a plan to to save £500m over the next two years.

The proposal includes ending Radio 4's The World Tonight, and reducing permanent presenters on Today from September, with a single anchor on Saturdays.

BBC Breakfast will no longer be shown on Sunday mornings from September, and it's thought 200 job losses from the news department will save £25 million.

Philippa Childs, head of media and entertainment union, Bectu, has called the cuts "far from ideal," saying, "I'm not sure how you can make informed decisions about the long-term future of the organisation when it will be in a substantially diminished place at the end of the process than the beginning."

The National Union of Journalists has also spoken out against the proposed cuts, suggesting they will be "devastating for audiences and communities everywhere."

Rachel received many supportive comments when she revealed her news on social media, with weather forecaster Matt Taylor writing, "Noooooo!! I didn’t realise it was your last one Rachel. Glad I got to share it with you though - whether it’s ont’telebox or over the airwaves you’re a joy to work with."

One fan commented, "On to new things I’m sure. As one door closes another always opens! You’ve been fabulous," with another adding, "Well done Rach! What a shift! You have been exemplary."

Victoria is said to be ‘inconsolable' and David ‘seething' after their son's latest stunt.

Once a firm fixture in the billion-dollar Beckham brand, estranged son Brooklyn Peltz Beckham seems determined to burn every bridge with his family after appearing in a TV ad that openly mocked their devastating public rift.

Brooklyn, 27, sparked a huge public backlash after appearing in a TV commercial for US food delivery company DoorDash, released to coincide with the FIFA World Cup. In the ad, Brooklyn sits home alone surrounded by what appears to be a deliberate set of props alluding to the ongoing family feud, including a stack of unopened letters, a new watch replacing the one his dad gave him for his 21st and what looks like a pile of World Cup match tickets.

‘You're probably wondering why I'm watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home,' he says with a smirk. ‘It's not like I don't have tickets. Um… it's because... it's a long story.'

Fans were quick to take to social media to berate the aspiring chef over the commercial, some branding it ‘tasteless', while others accused him of hypocrisy for cashing in on the Beckham name.

But sources close to Brooklyn say that he's unfazed by the negative public reaction to the controversial ad, which is rumoured to have pocketed him around $1 million.

‘Brooklyn doesn't seem to care any more,' a source reveals. ‘He did it to prove a point that he's his own boss now and can do what he likes. He fully expected the backlash, in fact he's embracing it. When he was immersed in the Beckham machine, he felt he didn't have a voice and was restricted from doing some things because it didn't align with the family brand.'

The source adds, ‘Now he feels the shackles are off and he's in control of his life.'

Over the years, Brooklyn has faced public ridicule over his previous career ventures, including photography and cooking. Sources say that he's keen to follow his wife, billionaire heiress Nicola Peltz Beckham, 31, into acting. ‘Brooklyn thinks he has what it takes,' reveals a source. ‘He's had some training and seems to be a real natural on screen, so he's keen to pursue it.'

This comes as his estranged brother, Romeo, 23, has just made his acting debut in gay tennis movie Forty Love – a first look was shown late last month.

Brooklyn's DoorDash ad is yet another blow to the Beckham family's hopes of reconciling with him. In a blistering Instagram post in January, he confirmed the rift, accusing his parents of controlling him and trying to ‘ruin' his relationship with Nicola. He also accused mum Victoria, 52, of humiliating him by ‘hijacking' his first wedding dance and declared, ‘I do not want to reconcile with my family.'

While the Beckham family has to date not commented on the devastating rift with Brooklyn, they have continued to feature him on family social media posts, including a recent Father's Day one, which featured Sir David with all four children.

On a recent trip to LA, where the clan gathered to watch David, 51, get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, daughter Harper, who turns 15 on 10 July, was spotted arriving in person to Brooklyn and Nicola's home to try and deliver a letter.

Brooklyn and Nicola, who were in New York at the time, issued a scathing statement over the incident, their reps branding it a stunt: ‘That photographers were in place as the letter was hand-delivered says it all – this was choreographed for the cameras.' A source close to the Beckhams say they have been floored by the recent events.

‘Victoria is just inconsolable over it all,' says a friend. ‘Her family are everything and this is just her worst nightmare that doesn't seem to be ending. She has been determined to try everything she can to make peace with Brooklyn, but the more they try, the angrier and more determined to break ties he seems to get. It's been all-consuming for her.'

The source adds, ‘Harper is bewildered and can't understand why this is happening. David and the brothers Romeo and Cruz are furious over it all and can't believe what Brooklyn has done.

‘David particularly was seething that the scandal over Harper cast a very big shadow over his Hollywood Walk of Fame achievement – and he can't believe that his son used the World Cup as a stage to mock the family, especially as football has been so important to all of them.'

In the wake of their eldest son's latest public takedown of the Beckham brand, sources say David and Victoria are deeply concerned of what he may do next.

‘The family is hearing all sort of rumours about Brooklyn doing a tell-all book or Netflix-style exposé on the family rift,' says a source. ‘They thought before he wouldn't go that far but after the events of recent weeks, they can't be sure. They're so worried and are now caught between trying to keep the peace with their son, who they still love dearly, and protect their children and their brand from further scandal.'

It was Christine Lampard's husband, former footballer Frank Lampard, who suggested the couple start a family - at the time, the presenter was happy being step-mother to his children from a previous marriage, Luna and Isla.

However, Christine has now shared that when she had her children, Patricia, 7, and Freddie, 5, she soon started to wish she'd begun having children earlier, to give her time to have more.

The presenter, 47, made the admission during an episode of the Sort Your Life Out Unpacked podcast, with host Dilly Carter.

"We've been together 18 years, and went through years of just having a really nice life," Christine tells Dilly of the time before she became a mother.

She continues, "It was just us, we were happy doing our own thing, and then Frank said, 'We really should think about this [having children] because I know you're going to love it.'"

After thinking about it, Christine thought "maybe I would" love having children - and it turns out she really does.

"It feels like a complete blessing and that's the truth - I really love it," she says with clear adoration for her young children.

The presenter then goes on to tell Dilly, "I would've had more if I'd started younger, if I could have. I honestly really, really enjoy it."

Christine goes on to explain that storage can be an issue in her house because she keeps every card her children ever make for her.

"My little girl loves art and could paint all day long," she shares, also explaining how this presents another challenge, because she wants to keep all of her paintings and has "another boxload" of them to cherish.

The presenter also reveals that while she's loved every stage of parenting, she is really enjoying the era she currently finds herself in.

"I've got that beautiful spot at the moment where they're still quite young and baby-ish, but they're old enough to hold your hand, tell you about their day, tell you what they want - there's no guessing anymore," she says.

Continuing to share her utter joy at being a mother, Christine continues, "And we laugh - my little boy in particular, he's really funny, he's got a dry sense of humour already."

Speaking about her daughter Patricia, the presenter reveals, "She's very emotional and attentive, very sentimental - I would never be allowed to throw anything out that she's ever made."

Christine concludes, "I don't need them to be Einsteins, I don't need them to do anything - I don't really care. I just want them to be healthy, happy and kind, good people."

Trinny Woodall has shared a brilliant video to social media, giving her followers a first hand look at what it's like to try and find a match on a dating app.

The news that she's willing to give the apps a chance comes months after the Trinny London mogul said she was happy being alone in her 60s and didn't need dating sites.

Last year, the 62-year-old told Hello!, "I don't need anyone to complete me," adding, "But do I want to go out dancing and have fun? Do I want to go to the theatre and not do it on a dating app, but do it through the people I know and their friends? Yes, I do."

Of course, there's absolutely nothing wrong with changing her mind and trying out dating apps, and Trinny shares the results of signing up to Hinge in a perfectly tongue-in-cheek way.

Her first hurdle was that a lot of the men whose profiles she liked the look of, were shorter than her at 5"7. "Some of you might be with a short man and that's cool," she addresses her followers with, adding, "But because I'm 5"10 its challenging."

Reading out some particularly funny lines from some of the men's profiles, Trinny reports someone has written, "My love language is touch," responding with, "Hmmm, a bit creepy."

Under another profile, somebody else had written, "The way to win me over is eggs in the morning." Horrified by this, Trinny says to the camera, "So he expects me to cooks for him every morning? Sorry mate."

The entrepreneur then comes across a profile she looks like, of a man named Rupert.

Rupert had written, "Dating me is like being treated properly, and never being uncertain about where things stand. I won't yoga, but I will carry your mat, probably pick you up and take you for coffee."

The profile also promised, "Fun, honestly, food and warmth." Appearing quite taken with Rupert, Trinny says, "That is rather sweet, he lives in Kensington! I'm sorry, that's interesting."

To top things off, it turns out Rupert is also 6"7. Trinny's daughter, Lyla then appears, and she explains how she's talking her followers through potential dating app profiles - which Lyla is shocked by.

"You actually can't do that! You can't be mean about people on the internet," her daughter berates her, before her mum shares her excitement at having found a 6"7 man in Kensington and explains that she's keeping people's identities a secret and there's no meanness involved.

It's not long before Trinny is sending Rupert a message to ask where he'd take her for coffee, before she celebrates by shouting excitedly, "I've done one, I've done one - it's my first one, I'm in the game!"

She received overwhelming support after sharing the video, with fans praising her honesty and urging her to both be careful, and have fun.

However, the overwhelming message was that everybody wanted an update - and we hope we get to find out what happens if Trinny does indeed meet the mysterious Rupert for a coffee.

Comedian Mel Giedroyc has arrived in, and is firmly embracing her "crone era" - and it's a lot more joyful than it sounds.

During a conversation with AJ Odudu and Elizabeth Day during the latter's How To Fail podcast, the three ladies discussed everything from menopause to later life friendships, and Mel has some poignant and funny revelations.

When the talk turns to exactly what ages fall under the midlife bracket, Elizabeth feels it's between 40-55. For 58-year-old Mel, this means she's through this stage and into what Elizabeth calls her "crone era."

"I'm pure crone guys," Mel confirms, adding that feels "really blooming lucky" to have entered this era - which might not be the response listeners might expect.

Explaining why she feels lucky, Mel shares, "I've lost a lot of pals in the last five years, and family members - this is what happens when you turn 50."

She continues, "So be warned, this is what happens - when you turn 50 it's like freaking dominoes, so just to be here is such a privilege."

Mel also reveals that she feels the "invisibility" that comes with getting to her age is "like a power." She explains that she's enjoyed the attention that comes with being on high-profile TV shows, but now prefers working without that huge amount of focus on her.

"You get to observe other people and realise it's not all about you," she explains, continuing, "It makes me less selfish and less of a narcissist."

All part of her so-called "crone era," these changes allow her to "slow down" and "enjoy things more."

Another benefit of this time of life is being able to say no people. "Maybe that's the thing about getting into crone territory - saying no," Mel says.

The ladies discuss the word "crone" being a compliment, and Mel agrees that she's going to absolutely "own the crone" and keep it as a positive reference for people in midlife and beyond.

The trio also talk about women supporting women, and the power of female friendships. Elizabeth shares, "Friendship has actually been the most consistent and long-lasting love of my life," as Mel agrees, "Thank god for female friends."

Mel also says that she has pockets of friends in different places, but her real "besties" are the people she's known since she was 11 - quite a rarity to have maintained such friendships for so many decades.

Speaking about her friendship with long-term collaborator Sue Perkins, Mel talks about how their relationship has evolved over the years.

When Mel got married and had children, she suddenly realised things were "going to be a bit different" between them and they naturally didn't see as much of each other as they'd been used to.

However, she reveals that in their 40s and 50s, "We're coming back together, in a really nice way - not that we ever really totally separated."

True crime fans are sure to know the name Kenneth Noye - a man who has reached a status of infamy after being involved in high profile crimes that have been dramatised and had several documentaries made about them.

Prime Video's latest crime documentary, Murder on the M25: Who Killed Stephen Cameron? brings Noye's name back to the forefront again as it delves into the stabbing of 21-year-old Stephen Cameron, who was murdered in a road rage incident in 1996.

As the police investigation gathered pace, it appears the young man was killed by a notorious criminal who then went on the run - Kenneth Noye.

Here is what happened to Stephen Cameron, and what Kenneth Noye has done during his criminal career - including where he is now.

What happened to Stephen Cameron?

In In May 1996, Stephen Cameron had been out shopping for bagels with his 17-year-old girlfriend, Danielle Cable. Danielle was driving Stephen's van, and the couple became embroiled in a road rage incident with Kenneth Noye.

Both stopped their vehicles, and the men got into a fight on the side of the road, at the Swanley interchange of the M25 in Kent. Kenneth Noye went to his car and got a knife from the glove compartment, and stabbed Stephen twice before driving away.

Noye had stabbed Stephen in the heart, and although he was rushed to hospital from the scene of the crime, he died 50 minutes after arriving there.

The following day Noye went on the run, first being flown by private helicopter to northern France, before taking a train to Paris and then a private jet to Madrid. He made his way from there to the Canary Islands and north Africa, before eventually hiding out in southern Spain.

However, this was yet another crime to add to a list Noye had been involved in.

Kenneth Noye was first sent to a youth detention centre in Kent at the age of 15, for selling stolen car parts. By the time he married, he was a career criminal who worked shifting stolen goods.

Noye was known to socialise at the Hilltop hotel hear where he lived, with other known criminals from the area. In 1983, he was involved in what would come to be known as one of the crimes of the century - the Brink's-Mat robbery.

The robbery was dramatised in a BBC six-part series The Gold, released in 2023. Noye was played by Slow Horses star Jack Lowden.

The series shows how, on November 26, 1983, six men broke into the Brink’s-Mat warehouse at Heathrow. They expected to find £3 million in cash, but were instead met with £26 million in gold bars and jewels.

Noye was brought on board to launder the gold so it couldn’t be traced to the robbers. Working with a man named John Palmer, they'd melt the gold down to mix with copper, to be sold on.

The robbers were quickly tracked, and when Noye became a suspect, he was placed under surveillance. During this time, he came across Detective Constable John Fordham carrying out some work at his home as part of the operation to track him.

He fatally stabbed Fordham on finding him at his property, but was later acquitted of murder after insisting he'd acted in self-defence.

However, he couldn't escape his involvement in laundering the gold being found out, and when 11 gold bars were found at his home, he was sentenced to 14 years in prison. He was released 8 years later in 1994, and was still on licence when he murdered Stephen Cameron in 1996.

Two years after going on the run, he was tracked down to his hiding place in Spain, and extradited to face trial for the stabbing. He was sentenced to life for killing Stephen in 2000.

Where is Kenneth Noye now?

Kenneth Noye was released from prison in 2019, and thought to be living in Sevenoaks, Kent.

Nick Biddiss, the former detective superintendent responsible for putting him in prison, is unhappy with the level of notoriety Noye has found through documentaries and dramas like The Gold, that give him almost "celebrity" status.

In 2025, Biddiss responded to reports that Noye was being treated like a hero in and around Sevenoaks, telling the BBC, "I don't feel comfortable with it, especially when you think this man is a violent criminal."

He added, "Why is Kenny Noye being lionised by people in West Kingsdown and Sevenoaks, shaking his hand, going around in effect being a mini celebrity? It's not right."

The publication reports that The Ministry of Justice previously said Noye, now 79, will remain on licence for the rest of his life and could return to prison if he doesn't comply with his conditions.

It's Friday night, and you need something to watch on TV that will make you laugh out loud while making your heart absolutely soar. We have just the show for you, and it's called Trying.

We don't say this lightly, but you're unlikely to find a more perfect series. If you don't have Apple TV, get a free trial and try it out (there's plenty of other hidden gems on the streamer,) and if you're already signed up, what are you waiting for?

This week saw season 5 of Trying released, and there's good news, and more good news. The first bit of good news it that it's just as good as seasons 1-4. The second bit of good news is that if you're tuning in for the first time, your evenings are now sorted with so many episodes of Trying to view.

Season 1 saw call centre operator Nikki (Esther Smith) and teacher Jason (Rafe Spall) trying for a baby. They're at the stage of being disappointed by negative pregnancy tests every month, while being invited to baby showers, christenings and seeing pregnant women everywhere.

They're then definitively told that there's no chance they'll have a biological child of their own. Now no longer trying for a baby in the conventional sense, the couple spend their time trying to adopt.

Nikki and Jason are such a wonderful couple - as a real life couple, Esther and Rafe's chemistry is undeniable (they now have a baby together, in life almost imitating art.) But on screen, they're just so human and adorably imperfect, bouncing and riffing off one another in a way that's mesmerising and so relatable.

By season 5, they've adopted their children, siblings Tyler and Princess, who were primary school age when Nikki and Jason became their parents.

Courtesy of a season 4 time jump, the children are now teenagers. Now they've finished trying to adopt, Nikki and Jason are trying once again - trying to parent teenagers that have had a rocky start in life, whose biological mother Kat (Charlotte Riley) has shown up and wants to be part of their lives again.

Sweet, darling Nikki, a born mother and nurturer, will break your heart. All she wants is to have the same level of love she gives out into the world and pours into her children returned.

And as a lot of parents will know, we're told not be our children's friend, we're told not to expect them to complete us, we know we shouldn't hurt when our love isn't reciprocated in quite the same way.

But Nikki's quiet hopefulness that she'll get and be all of these things above is just so much a part of her personality. Her palpable hurt at not being the centre of her kids' world, and the adoration that should be aimed at her seemingly looking like it might be given to an undeserving absent mother, will make you want to ram your arms through the screen and hug Nikki tight.

The supporting characters in the series are also pitch perfect. You shouldn't like Nikki's annoying sister Karen (Sian Brooke) and her boring, likely spectrum-y husband, Scott (Darren Boyd,) but they're played with such nuance and complexity that you just adore them.

Imelda Staunton put in a brilliant performance during previous seasons as Nikki and Jason's social worker, and definitely deserved an award for her standout efforts.

Now Jason is training to be a social worker himself, season 5 has a guest star playing the part of a hoarder who needs a social worker - and she's portrayed by none other than Celia Imrie - that's got to be a draw, to watch just for her.

If none of this persuades you, nothing will. But if you don't watch Trying, your life will be forever empty because of it.

It's a bold move to recreate such an iconic classic, but Netflix have taken the plunge and brought a rebooted version of Little House on the Prairie to our screens.

Based on Laura Ingalls Wilder’s iconic semi-autobiographical Little House books, the original series ran between 1974-1983. Airing from July 9, the reimagining contains eight episodes, and has already been renewed for a second run before it's even premiered.

While most remember the original to be a tale of hope, survival and an origin story of the American West, it wasn't the entirely wholesome show people remember. It actually incorporated themes of child abuse, addiction, murder, and a whole host of mental health storylines.

The new series has promised to be faithful to the original, with a fresh and updated take that is more historically grounded. Many viewers have questions about the setting - and while the reboot will be set in the same 1870s onwards era, the location will be different.

We look at why the new Little House on the Prairie isn't set in Walnut Grove, and where the real-life filming locations can be found.

Why isn't the new Little House on the Prairie set in Walnut Grove?

Most fans of the original Little House on the Prairie associate it with being set in Walnut Grove, yet the 2026 version is set in Independence, Kansas.

However, we'll find the Ingalls family, Charles (Luke Bracey), Caroline (Crosby Fitzgerald), Laura (Alice Halsey) and Mary (Skywalker Hughes) setting up home in the Independence setting because this closely follows the original story.

If you've read Laura Ingalls Wilder's 1930s novels, you might remember that the Ingalls' did indeed build their first house in Independence, moving to the Southeastern Kansas location after leaving the "big woods".

When the original 1974 series began, the pilot touched upon the Ingalls' travelling from Pepin, Wisconsin to Independence, before settling in Walnut Grove - where most of the future action took place. It therefore appears that further seasons of the reboot will feature the Walnut Grove location that fans so fondly associate with the show.

Where is the new Little House on the Prairie filmed?

While the storyline plays out in Southeastern Kansas, the Little House on the Prairie reboot was filmed entirely in Manitoba, Canada, largely in Cooks Creek.

The Manitoba landscape is full of lakes, mountains, forests and prairies, with the wilderness protected in more than 80 provincial parks. Cooks Creek is a small rural community that sits just east of Winnipeg.

Showrunner Rebecca Sonnenshine tells CBC this area was chosen because of the province's "sweeping landscapes and tallgrass scenery", which offered an open, "untouched" prairie look that was perfect for the show.

The area also experiences cold, snowy and wet winter weather that can last into spring. Filming therefore had to wait until June last year to begin, and the cast and crew still saw "major floods, tornadoes, lightning and extreme winds, along with ticks and bugs."

Rebecca explains, "We're going through it, just like the Ingalls," adding, "We get a little taste of what it was like on the prairie, although, of course, we have lots of modern conveniences."

According to Movie Walks, some scenes were also filmed in Fort Gibraltar, a reconstructed 19th century fur trading post in Winnipeg.

The original fort was built in 1809, and has seen scenes of conflict that saw it captured and destroyed. Today, visitors to the fort see a faithful reconstruction of the original, that serves as a living museum built in the 20th century.

Buildings carefully constructed to carefully recreate the originals would be ready made sets for Little House on the Prairie, perfect for accurately bringing the late 19th century to life.

Little House on the Prairie airs on Netflix from July 9.

Despite experiencing a turbulent year with ITV budget cuts meaning her long-running daytime TV show now only airs for 30 minutes, for just 30 weeks of the year instead of all year, Lorraine Kelly is definitely not slowing down.

The presenter hosted the Channel 4 travel series Lorraine Kelly's Norwegian Odyssey earlier this year, and her latest novel, The Island Secret, a follow up to her debut The Island Swimmer, has been flying off the shelves.

Lorraine's new novel has a strong theme of female friendships, and the presenter has some very candid advice about only surrounding yourself with people who really care about you, and why a friendship cull is sometimes required.

In conversation with Platinum magazine, Lorraine says it's natural to find friendships naturally drop off as people age. "As you get older, you shed friends because of distance, work, kids," she says, adding that it's a good idea to be "curious" about making new friends.

"My mum joined a book club and is learning German at 85 and has made lots of friends – what have you got to lose?" she asks, continuing, "You will learn something and you might meet people with shared interests."

While the presenter encourages others to build their community in the way her mum has, she's also a strong believer in deliberately cutting ties with friends who no longer bring you joy, if they don't fade away naturally.

"We all know people who are always on transmit and not receive, people that tell you everything but don’t really care about you," she says, explaining that "it’s important to almost do a spring clean and get rid of those who actually bring you down."

The presenter knows this can be "hard," but reiterates the importance of being able to "take care of yourself as well."

However, she stands firm that she won't be including a special person in her life as someone she calls a friend - her daughter Rosie.

"I always say, she’s my daughter and not my friend," Lorraine explains, sharing, "I know there’s a lot of women that say their children are their best friends – Rosie has got friends."

"You might think they tell you everything, but they don’t, and you shouldn’t want them to either," she says. The presenter asserts she is Rosie's "biggest cheerleader and supporter," but she needs to "paddle her own canoe."

Clearly advocating for people to bring as much joy into their lives as possible through those they surround themselves with, Lorraine has now focussed her chat show on doing the same thing.

"In this crazy world, we will be a wee half-hour oasis of fun, joy and light," she explains, adding, "I’ve done the journalism thing. I’ve done the covering disasters, I’m now at the stage of my life where I just think I want a straight up wee bit of fun and joy."

Proving that retirement is definitely not imminent, Lorraine concludes that she's taking lessons from David Attenborough.

"That’ll be me, 100 years old, still doing travel shows, still getting up in the morning to kick off with a fashion segment – I don’t see myself ever retiring," she says.

Stylish, sophisticated and multi-talented to boot, Hannah Waddingham could very well be part of His Majesty’s Secret Service herself.

Luckily for us, she decided to focus her skills on entertainment instead of espionage, winning over fans on the West End and through her roles on the award-winning Ted Lasso, to count just a few.

With her new film role set in the dangerous world of assassins and spies, she was asked whether she could ever imagine James Bond being played by a woman - a topic that has been discussed many times over. For Hannah, she actually thinks women can do better and create their own stories.

Speaking to People, the star refused the idea of ever stepping into the role, saying, "God no! This is my version of 007, a woman doesn’t need to play James Bond. We’ve got other things to do."

As it turns out, Hannah’s not alone in sharing this view. Previously, Dame Helen Mirren argued that Bond needs to be a man otherwise the franchise becomes something different entirely.

She shared, "I’m such a feminist, but you can’t have a woman. It just doesn’t work. James Bond has to be James Bond, otherwise it becomes something else."

As Hannah alluded in her comments, she’s playing something of her own Bond-like character in the new movie Ride or Die, where she plays Judith Burton, who lives a double life as an assassin. However, things get complicated when her best friend (Octavia Spencer) gets brought into the action.

It’s just one in a long line of powerful, confident women that the Emmy winning star has played - and this is something Hannah intentionally looks for in her roles. When asked what draws her to strong, multi-faceted characters, she shared, “It’s their truth, it’s who they are in the quiet, that’s what gets me first.

She added that her "interest is piqued by who they are when they're alone, and the foibles and the fears and the aspirations they have when they're alone."

This whole idea of embracing a woman’s strength is one Hannah has fought for in her personal life, too. In the past, she’s talked about how - at 5ft 11 inches - she’s had to overcome the feeling that she should make herself smaller, literally and figuratively.

Speaking to woman&home in 2024, she shared her advice for women everywhere. "Never slouch - physically, emotionally, mentally, spiritually - never slouch for anyone, ever".

"I feel like I did for a long time, to feel like you fit in. Or dim your light because you're big when you come into a room. Which sounds easier than it is.

We all have those moments when you want to recoil, but I don't think that it's good for your soul, and the people that love you will love you anyway."

Sally Phillips has given us some of the most iconic characters across TV and film in the last couple of decades.

Now, not only is she set to return to Smack The Pony as it's brought back 23 years after it finished airing, she's also going to light up screens in what's set to be an unmissable nostalgic crime series.

Airing from July 17, the six-part cosy drama The Hairdresser Mysteries, sees Sally's character, Lily, move from busy city hairdressing life in the 70s, to a small, quaint village for a slower pace of life.

But as the array of locals whose hair she cuts confide in Lily, she uses their secrets to unravel the village's mysteries. In the same way Sally brings warmth, humour and heart to her new character, she does the same with the real life challenges she faces.

During a recent interview with The Times, Sally reflected on a "low moment" after her divorce from former husband Andrew Bermejo, who left her in 2017 after 14 years of marriage - and the actress still manages to make light of it.

"I did an online advert for Laughing Cow cheese just after my husband left me," she says, adding, "That was a particularly low divorce point." However, she always tries to look for the positives in life, and has no qualms about taking on anything that "people might snigger at."

She once presented an award to a man who'd cleaned "the same 600,000 square feet of hospital for 60 years and it meant so much to him," which made her feel, "my life is really rich actually."

The actress also jokes about the direction her career is heading in because she doesn't "do" botox.

"There was a year in which I played four different women dying of cancer," she says, adding, "I thought, maybe that is just what happens if you don’t do botox - people think you look really unwell."

Sally also talks about the joy and the challenges of having a child with Down's Syndrome - her 21-year-old son Olly has the condition.

While he's faced difficulties in his life, Sally reports, "It’s really important to say that Olly’s life is not bad at all," adding, "Olly loves his life and I want people to know that I have had such an amplified life through knowing Olly too, and all his friends."

The actress feels that "society works hard to try and keep people separated" and "we work hard to make it appear people don’t exist," alluding to it being difficult for her son to find a place in society.

She wants to remedy this, and does so by asserting she'll "write things that have people with Down’s syndrome in them," revealing, "I’m about to do a Down’s syndrome dance film and I’ve also written a Down’s syndrome rom-com.”

Unsurprisingly, she has a similarly positive attitude to her work, and says she was asked by The Hairdresser Mysteries creator, Jim Cartwright, "Can we make the nation feel better?" with the series.

"I like that - let us see," she says, revealing that she doesn't worry if something she works on is "a dreadful failure" as long as it tries something new.

Her latest series certainly sounds like it will fit the brief of bringing something a little different, and Sally concludes, "Why bother doing what someone’s already done?"

Davina McCall has been through a lot in her life - from overcoming addiction to her recent cancer battles, she’s demonstrated her strength time and time again.

But, in a new candid conversation, the beloved TV personality has revealed that one hurdle that nearly proved too much for her was going through menopause, and the "shame" she felt dealing with a myriad of symptoms that left her questioning herself.

From forgetfulness to losing her temper with her children, Davina got to a point where she thought she had to give up presenting.

Speaking to The Sun about the symptoms that came on, Davina shared, "These aren’t sweats, or aches, or joint pain, or shooting pains in your head, or palpitations. These are just mental. But these are all real, and these are very disconcerting to me - to the point where I thought, ‘I’m not sure I can present television any more’.

"My eyesight went a bit weird. I couldn’t really read the autocue. I was presenting a show called Stepping Out. I couldn’t remember Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen’s name. I mean, that name is so recognisable.

"And I’m like, ‘Oh my God, I am on a live TV show’. And I was having to say, ‘You'".

Reaching near breaking point, Davina remembers, "The woman from ITV came in, said, ‘Are you OK? I was like, ‘Sorry, I’m fine. Bit tired today.’ And she leaves and I just burst into tears.

"I couldn’t f*****g function. I’d look at my daughters laughing so hard - when was the last time I did that?"

"The shame around all of that was so massive, and shame was unfamiliar to me."

It wasn’t just at work - Davina, in a confession that is no doubt relatable to many women, remembers losing her confidence with daily tasks, and finding herself with a temper that was unfamiliar to her.

Speaking of a sudden lack of confidence, she said, "I had thrown myself out of a helicopter over the Grand Canyon, on television. I was brave. But I became a bit worried about going to Sainsbury’s at dusk, because it would be dark when I’d be driving back with the shopping on the five-minute trip home.

"Those little changes where you start going, ‘I don’t feel myself. Who is the person that’s getting my three kids ready for school?’

"I’d say, ‘Can you get the car? OK, could you get in the car? Can you just get in the f*****g car?’

"And I sit in the car with my head on the steering wheel, and just cry, and they’re all going, ‘You all right, Mummy?’. That rage went from nought to 60."

Davina has since credited HRT (hormone replacement therapy) for 'saving' her - and wants more openness and less taboo around the topic.

She has previously said, "[HRT] did really, really, really save me. But I wasted and lost three years of my life not taking it because of the stigma around it. When I finally did, I didn't tell anybody. And if anybody asked me about it, I lied and said I wasn't on it."

After her own journey, Davina has become a champion in raising awareness about what women really need when dealing with menopause and perimenopause, including writing the best-selling book, Menopausing: The Positive Roadmap to Your Second Spring.

Ann Droid is an all-new comedy coming to the BBC, and with legends Sue Johnston and Diane Morgan in the lead roles, it's set to be absolutely unmissable. Diane also co-wrote the series with comedian Sarah Kendall.

Released on July 17, the six-part series sees Sue star as a recently-widowed elderly woman whose son hires a humanoid robot named Linda (Diane Morgan), to keep her company and help her around the house.

While the comedy comes from Linda being a cheap model who lacks the upgrades of newer models to bring a deeper, more conscious understanding of human emotion to help Sue, the show is also full of "humour and love," and a poignant look at loneliness in older years.

At the age of 82, Sue Johnston has recently opened up about the parallels between her own life, and that of her character in the show, also named Sue. The actress says there's a "huge amount of self-recognition" in the role, telling The Guardian that she "recognises the loneliness thing" which is a big part of the series.

"Although I have a full life, there's a loneliness that creeps in when you're old and on your own," she explains. Just as her character experiences a fall just prior to the arrival of Linda, Sue also had one last year.

The actress's son wants her to live closer to him as a result, but she's having none of it. Her energy reserves are also naturally depleting as she gets older, and she saves most of what she has for work.

"I'm all right at work and there's a sort of adrenaline," she says, adding, "Get up at five and go - I can do that, but when I'm not working, I'm buggered."

Sue's Ann Droid character is also coping not just with loneliness, but with the grief of losing her husband.

While the actress hasn't lost a spouse - she's remained single since her second divorce in 1980, Sue does still feel the effects of losing her close friend and Royle Family co-star, Caroline Aherne.

Caroline died of cancer in 2016 at the age of 52, and she called Sue her "second mum." Following her death, fellow Royle Family star Ricky Tomlinson had paintings of Caroline made for the show's cast.

"Mine's at the bottom of the stairs, when I come down every morning I go, 'Morning!'" Sue shares. She shares a similar bond with Ann Droid co-star Diane Morgan, who she says reminds her of Caroline.

Bonding over their love of dogs when working together previously, Sue shares, "There's a lot about Diane that reminds me of Caroline Aherne. They've got that Northern, straight-faced, cut-through humour. And their geniuses.

Diane also refers to Sue as "The perfect human." With this supportive partnership between the talented pair sure to be evident both on screen as well as off, we're more excited than ever for Ann Droid to make its debut.

Prior to Sharon Stone’s mother, Dorothy, passing away in 2025, the iconic Basic Instinct star hoped she would finally hear her mother say “I’m proud of you. I love you. I’m sorry.” She didn’t.

Realising this, Sharon knew she had to "detach and release" and let her mother die - something which brought her relief and a feeling of freedom, she candidly shared on the Anderson Cooper podcast, All There Is.

Sharon said, "It's okay for me to feel free from my mom, free from her trauma now that she's gone."

In an exceptionally moving and vulnerable discussion, Sharon explained how her own mother’s difficult upbringing put strain on their relationship, right up to the end. She shared, "My mom behaved often as if she didn't like me at all. She had a very awful childhood and was removed from her home when she was nine because she was so violently abused.

"When my mom died, she was at my house and I was taking care of her, but she was terrified to die because she was afraid her parents would be there… The night that she was dying, she was really fighting it.

"[She was] holding on and holding on, and I finally realised I have to let go. I need to stop walking in the room. I need to go upstairs and ignore my mother so she will die."

Despite everything, the Casino star still wanted something from her mother - "I wanted her to say, ‘I'm proud of you. I love you. I'm sorry. You're important to me.’

"I wasn't gonna get them, and I had to make peace with the fact that my mom was not going to do that. In order for her to die in peace, I had to release her."

After Dorothy died, Sharon shared that she felt relieved - and the idea of complex and complicated grief is something she thinks people should be more understanding about.

Speaking about death, she said "There can be a lot of positive feelings, particularly when you care for someone who's dying over a long period of time. The caregiver can just be worn to pieces, and the relief a caregiver can feel when that is over is enormous.

"People talk about complex grief, complicated grief, ambiguous grief. There's a whole range of emotions over death that are completely understandable.

"There are many complicated reasons why people can feel relief when someone passes. And culturally, we don't have a lot of allowance for mixed feelings."

A tough topic, indeed, but Sharon’s candor and bravery in speaking out resonated with plenty of people online. Replying to the social media clip, one fan shared, 'Well said. Very honest. Very relatable. Is it also the case that so often the grief starts even before the actual event? So in a way the relief is that too, rather than waiting and fearing the actual event'.

Another added, 'Thank you for this. I was ragged caring for my mother who had cancer. I was 25 when she died and I was relieved. And I felt so guilty'.
