You already know who we’re talking about before we even give surnames, and that alone captures the rare power the original supermodels had.

The supermodels of the late 80s and 90s were fashion influencers before influencers was a thing. From what they wore on the cover of magazines to starring in iconic music videos and rubbing shoulders with A-listers from other industries, the Supers defined an era in fashion, beauty and style.

And now, some 30 years plus later, the original crop have reunited to recreate a legendary Vogue cover.

Naomi Campbell, Linda Evangelista, Christy Turlington, and Cindy Crawford have reunited for a historic first, as they grace the cover of both the American and British editions of the September Vogue issue.

The original photo also included Tatjana Patitz, who sadly passed earlier this year.

All four women on the new covers - as well as Tatjana, Helena Christensen and Claudia Schiffer - are often considered the first true supermodels, a term which captured the difference between a fashion model and someone who became famous beyond the industry.

Supermodels weren’t just models – they were cultural icons. Their star power was so strong that Linda Evangelista immortalised it with a memorable phrase, quipping that the supers “don’t wake up for less than $10,000 a day.”

Fans have already flooded Vogue’s social media accounts with praise for the original supermodels.

One fan described the foursome as “timeless and ageless”, adding that there was “just something magic” about them.

Another fan credits the supermodels as the reason they “loved fashion” and made it a lifelong passion.

Previewing what to expect in the upcoming September Issues, fans caught a glimpse of the models in conversation, discussing what it was like to be part of something so unique.

A feature in the magazine touches on the reaction to them after the video for George Michael’s Freedom! ‘90 was released. The video famously featured all five models, and George was said to have decided to include them after seeing the very Vogue magazine cover they are recreating.

“It was insane. We are not the Beatles,” says Linda, on the reaction to the video, and the following Versace fashion show finale, in which they lip-synced to the song as they linked arms and strutted down the runway.

The icons have also delighted fashion fans with another major announcement, an upcoming documentary called The Super Models.

The four of them have taken part in the feature, which will come to Apple TV+ in September.

A synopsis from Apple TV+ describes the documentary explains, “Their prestige was so extraordinary that it enabled the four to supersede the brands they showcased, making the names Naomi, Cindy, Linda and Christy as prominent as the designers who styled them.”

“Today, the four supermodels remain on the frontlines of culture through activism, philanthropy, and business prowess. As the fashion industry continues to redefine itself – and women’s roles within it – this is the ultimate story of power and how four women came together to claim it, paving the way for those to follow.”

The Super Models will land on Apple TV+ on September 20.

Naomi Campbell has shared a photo of her daughter watching the Met Gala 2022 on television, in a rare glimpse into the supermodel's recent motherhood. 

The British supermodel treated her Instagram followers to a surprise photo of her baby girl on Wednesday, as part of a series of snaps from her Met Gala 2022 appearance. 

Naomi can be seen posing in a bejeweled, black floor-length gown by Burberry—accompanied by a $6.6 million Jacob & Co. choker—in the first few images, which were taken on the red carpet and against a white backdrop. The stunning ensemble, credited to Riccardo Tisci, the Chief Creative Officer at Burberry, received glowing reviews from fans online—many of whom track the fashion icon daily for her unbeatable wardrobe updates. 

It was Naomi's final upload, however, that really set the comment section into overdrive. 

In the last photo, her one-year-old (whose name has not been made public) can be seen sitting in a navy high chair and watching her glamorous mother attend the New York City fundraiser on the television. 

Naomi became a mother for the first time at 50 last year, announcing the birth of her adorable daughter to the world in May 2021. She has since made a conscious effort to respect the little one's privacy, sharing minimal information about her with the public and ensuring that her full face is always hidden from the media's glare. 

The businesswoman hasn't completely deprived fans of updates, however. In September 2021, Naomi shared exciting details about her young child's temperament. 

"She is wonderful. She's so very independent already. Very smart, alert. Sleeps 12 hours. A good girl," she told BBC's HARDtalk's Zeinab Badawi. 

In February 2022, she graced the cover of British Vogue with her daughter, revealing the side of the newborn's face to readers. 

She also dispelled the rumors that her daughter was adopted, confirming in an interview with the fashion magazine that her relationship with the infant is biological. 

"She wasn't adopted—she's my child," Naomi said. "I can count on one hand the number of people who knew that I was having her. But she is the biggest blessing I could ever imagine. It's the best thing I've ever done."

If, like many George Michael fans, you thought you were never gonna dance again after the star’s passing, you’ll get One More Try thanks to a new film coming out in the summer.

George Michael Freedom Uncut will premiere in theaters around the world, and promises to offer fans a rare insight into the Wham! star from the man himself.

Notoriously private, George worked on the film himself, sharing an inside look into his personal life before his death in 2016. Narrated and co-directed by George, the film is set to come out just before the star’s birthday.

The press release for the new George Michael movie explains that George was "heavily involved and dedicated" in the production of George Michael Freedom Uncut, making it "an incredibly special posthumous release and a poignant and moving tribute to his legacy.”

"The film is George's final work," George’s friend and co-director of the film, David Austin, said in a statement. "Narrated by George himself, it is the complete story."

What to expect from the new George Michael documentary

Freedom Uncut serves as a follow-up to 2017's George Michael Freedom.

As well as telling the “complete story” of the iconic singer, the documentary will feature interviews with George’s many peers and friends, including Motown legend Stevie Wonder, Sir Elton John, comedian Ricky Gervais, Brit rocker Liam Gallagher and Mary J. Blige.

Bringing the style are the supermodels who famously appeared in the Freedom! ’90 music video, Naomi Campbell, Christy Turlington, Cindy Crawford, Tatjana Patitz, and Linda Evangelista.

Cindy Crawford recently sent fans wild with an Instagram snap that conjured up throwback vibes to the music video, so it’s fair to assume fans haven’t forgot the impact or legacy of the pop icon yet.

As well as featuring interviews with supermodels and superstars, the documentary will show never-before-seen, personal footage of George throughout his career, including the making of his best-selling 1990 album Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1.

George Michael Freedom Uncut will also explore the relationship between George and Anselmo Feleppa, who was diagnosed with HIV and died in 1993 during the singer's public legal battle against Sony.

"George Michael was an inspiring artist whose story deserves to be shared on the big screen globally," said Tom Mackay, president of premium content at Sony Music Entertainment. 

"In honor of George's birthday this June, we are thrilled to be working with David Austin and our partners at Trafalgar Releasing to bring fans unprecedented access to his extraordinary life both on and off stage."

"We are proud to be bringing George Michael's final work to the big screen in this global cinema event," added Marc Allenby, CEO of Trafalgar Releasing. "As an artist whose music continues to resonate across generations, this event will be a fitting tribute to George's life and career, giving fans the opportunity to celebrate communally in cinemas worldwide."

When is the new George Michael movie out and how to watch?

The film is set for release on June 22, three days before what would’ve been his 59th birthday.

The movie will hit theaters globally. Tickets go on sale from April 27 and can be bought online.

Talk about family goals: Cindy Crawford and daughter Kaia Gerber attended Paris Fashion Week together and even wore matching camel-colored coats during a daytime outing. Both models completed their respective looks with black leather bags, oversized sunglasses and black boots. Needless to say, they looked fabulous.

Fans got to see the look in an Instagram post uploaded by  56-year-old Cindy earlier this week. She shared a series of photos from their trip and the main one was a shot of her and Kaia twinning. The second picture also showed off their outfits, this time from the back, walking the streets of the European city. The supermodel simply captioned the photo dump, "Postcards from Paris."

Celebrities and fans alike quickly took to the social media platform to profess their adoration for the models. Rita Wilson commented, "How fun to experience these things with your daughter!!!" Fellow actress Reese Witherspoon also chimed in, telling Cindy and 20-year-old Kaia that she loves them. Australian model and Cindy pal Elle Macpherson also made an appearance in the comments section. "Love you twinning," she wrote.

Even Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, the Italian-French singer and fashion model who married the former president of France Nicolas Sarkozy in 2008, noticed the photo. "Les 2 beautés," she commented—a sentence that translates to "the two beauties" in English.

As carefree as the duo looks in the picture, mom and daughter were in town to work. In fact, both walked shows during Paris Fashion Week—once doing so together at the Off-White fashion show, the brand's very first since the passing of founder Virgil Abloh.

In her popular Instagram post, Cindy also shared an image of the pair posing with tennis superstar Serena Williams, a photo of herself with fellow supermodel Naomi Cambell and behind-the-scenes images with Gigi Hadid and Helena Christensen. 

She wrapped up the series of shots with one focusing on a Celine ad starring her very own daughter Kaia. Clearly, celebrities are just like the rest of us: mothers will always sing the praises of their children. Right, Cindy?

Naomi Campbell has introduced her daughter to the world as she opened up about the “blessing” of becoming a mother later in life.

From the moment Naomi Campbell announced she was a mother in May 2021, fans were left delighted and more than a little surprised by the supermodel’s unexpected baby news. Having kept her pregnancy a secret, she confirmed her little one’s arrival in typically stunning style with a sweet black-and-white photograph showing just her daughter’s feet. Describing her baby as her “angel”, Naomi declared that there “is no greater love” than that she has for her child. 

Now the fashion icon, who became a mother for the first time at 50 years old, has spoken out about life with her “inquisitive” daughter. During an enlightening interview with British Vogue, the model shared the limelight on the prestigious magazine’s March issue cover with her equally beautiful daughter. 

This artistic photograph is the first time fans have been treated to a glimpse of her daughter since her birth was announced by Naomi. Though it seems there are still a few questions that seem destined to be left unanswered as Naomi has chosen to keep her baby’s name private. 

Nor has she disclosed who her daughter’s father is, though the model did get candid when it came to addressing speculation about whether she welcomed her child via adoption. . 

“She wasn’t adopted—she’s my child,” Naomi revealed to the publication, as she’s reportedly waiting to reveal further details in an upcoming book.

And it’s not just fans who were left in the dark about Naomi Campbell’s pregnancy. She explained that only a select few people knew she was set to become a first-time mom, describing being a parent as the “best thing”. 

“I can count on one hand the number of people who knew that I was having her,” she disclosed. “But she is the biggest blessing I could ever imagine. It’s the best thing I’ve ever done.”

Naomi also explained, “She’s a good girl: she sleeps very well, she hardly ever cries and I’m told she’s very alert for her age. She’s just started waving, which is fun. She laughs a lot. She’s almost talking. I think she might walk before she crawls. And she’s got six teeth already.” 

Already her daughter seems to be very much at home in front of the cameras, just like her famous mother. And this hasn’t gone unnoticed by Naomi, who praised her baby’s “inquisitive” nature. 

“She loves the light. She’s inquisitive,” Naomi shared. “She was looking at everyone—she looks at people right in the eye and for a very long time. She was taking it all in.”

While this might be the first time the proud mom and her baby have been joint cover stars, they’ll be many fans hoping it won’t be the last. 

Freddie Mercury and Princess Diana once spent a crazy night together out on the streets of London when the singer was able to disguise the royal as a man!

In her lifetime Princess Diana struck up many famous friendships with celebrities. Her friendship with singer Elton John was infamous, and still, the singer is invited to events honoring Princess Diana by her sons who appreciate his role in her life.

Diana was also reportedly pals with other celebrities such as models Christy Turlington, Cindy Crawford, and Naomi Campbell, and she also allegedly regularly rubbed shoulders with Liza Minnelli, Kurt Russell, and Goldie Hawn.

Although she was never photographed with Freddie Mercury, a close friend of the royal's revealed that the Princess and the rockstar once had a wild night out in London.

Cleo Rocos, a famous actress who was a close friendship with Diana, revealed in her 2013 memoir that she along with other celebrities spent a wild night out with Princess Diana.

In Cleo's memoir, The Positive Power of Drinking, the actress revealed that Princess Diana was eager for a night out and her celeb friends, including Freddie, were trying to convince her that there would be negative repercussions. 

“We pleaded, ‘What would be the headline if you were caught in a gay bar brawl?" said Cleo. “But Diana was in full mischief mode. Freddie said, ‘Go on, let the girl have some fun.'"

The actress then revealed that they decided to dress the Princess in men's clothes so that she could, “pass for a rather eccentrically dressed gay model." After her transformation courtesy of Freddie, the Princess apparently left, “looking like a beautiful young man.”

“Cleo revealed that Freddie and Diana were both delighted to be out and misbehaving. "We inched through the leather throngs and thongs until finally, we reached the bar. We were nudging each other like naughty schoolchildren."

“Diana and Freddie were giggling, but she did order a white wine and a beer. Once the transaction was completed, we looked at one another, united in our triumphant quest. We did it!”

The story about the two going clubbing together was never confirmed by either the Princess or the Queen star, but Cleo has been adamant that the two met during their lifetimes.

Also in her memoir, Cleo alleged, "She  [Princess Diana] would regularly sneak out on her own, in disguise, to go to places around the corner from the Palace."

“I remember drinking peach Bellinis with her, Kenny, and Freddie Mercury at the Bombay Brasserie nearby, before we all went up to Kenny’s penthouse to continue drinking."

“I’ll never forget watching Diana, Kenny, and Freddie dancing around the lounge to the Gypsy Kings, each waving one of Kenny’s feather dusters in the air.”

Freddie died of AIDS in 1991 and only a few years later in 1997, Princess Diana also lost her life after being involved in a car accident.

Princess Diana was the first British royal figure to touch a patient with AIDS and made significant strides to destigmatize the disease when she shook hands with a patient with AIDS. 

Princess Diana's sons have continued to uphold their mother's legacy and continue her charity work. Only recently, Prince Harry announced that proceeds from his memoir will be used to help children with HIV and AIDS in Southern Africa.
