Bridgerton lovers were finally able to enjoy the final four episodes of season three when they landed on Netflix this week - prompting more questions about the fate of the Bridgerton children. 

With each series following a different Bridgerton sibling, fans are now curious about which suitor will win Hyacinth’s heart - and the answer is already available to read in the Bridgerton book series. Warning, Bridgerton spoilers ahead! 

Who does Hyacinth marry in the Bridgerton books?

Netflix's Bridgerton draws heavy inspiration from the best-selling books by Julia Quinn, which followed the fortunes and scandalous lives of the Bridgerton family.

In the seventh book, entitled It’s In His Kiss, readers learn that Hyacinth has struggled to find a husband after four years on the marriage market.

With several failed proposals behind her, the Bridgeton family become increasingly concerned about their "fiendishly smart" and "devilishly outspoken" sibling.

Noting her beautiful chestnut brown hair and green-ish blue eyes, Lady Danbury suggests her grandson, Gareth St Claire, as a potential suitor.

Given that the pair have known each other for years and that he is Gregory Bridgerton’s best friend, Hyacinth isn’t convinced by the match. That is until she and Gareth unite for a daring jewellery heist.

As they become close and work to translate a diary left by Gareth’s Italian grandmother, their feelings only grow.

The romance novel ends with Gareth asking Hyacinth’s older brother Anthony for her hand, with the pair eventually marrying and having two children.

Will Hyacinth be the main character in Bridgerton season four?

Back in 2021, Netflix confirmed that Bridgerton would be renewed for seasons three and four.

However, it is unlikely that Hyacinth Bridgerton will be the main character in season four - as she will be around 12-years-old this season.

Instead, Benedict Bridgerton, who the focus of book three, An Offer From A Gentleman, has been tipped as the next Bridgerton brother to have romance played out on screen. 

Given how heavily he is featured in the latest season and that his love story comes before Colin and Penelope’s in the Bridgerton books, it is likely that his romance will be at the centre of series four.

When will the fourth season of Bridgerton be released?

Sadly, viewers will have to wait until 2026 for the next series of the period drama.

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Bridgerton show runner Jess Brownell explained, "We are working to try and put the seasons out more quickly, but they do take eight months to film, then they have to be edited, then they have to be dubbed into every language.

"And the writing takes a very long time as well, so we’re kind of on a two-year pace. We’re trying to speed up but somewhere in that range."

Dearest gentle readers, the wait is finally over as Bridgerton has finally arrived on Netflix. For those that have already watched the latest episodes, there is another way you can get closer to the Regency drama.

Like many period dramas, the Netflix series was filmed at some of the UK’s best loved stately homes and historic sites and if you've been eagerly waiting for the second part of series 3 after the ending of the first part, you might be keen to know all about where it was filmed, too.

Where is the Bridgertons' family home in real life? 

Every respectable Regency family ought to have a home in the city and the countryside - and the Bridgertons are no exception.

Perhaps the most recognisable of these is Ranger’s House in Grosvenor Square, with the exterior doubling for the iconic family home.

A hidden gem amidst the hustle and bustle of the city, this stunning Georgian villa is close to London’s Greenwich Park - where Bridgerton is also filmed.

While fans might be tempted to take a few selfies in front of the wisteria draped facade, there are plenty of treasures inside with an extensive art and jewellery collections. With over 300 years of history to explore, you can learn even more about the Regency period.

For those that want to escape to the country, you can visit Wilton House which doubles as the Bridgertons' countryside residence.

Though fans will be familiar with the stunning rooms at this stately home, viewers might not be aware that it also doubles for some of Queen Charlotte’s residences - including Buckingham Palace.

It has also been used as a filming location for countless productions including The Crown, Emma and The Young Victoria.

As this beautiful locale is open for a limited time each year though, fans will need to get into their carriage and head to the estate before the season ends.

Where is Penelope Featherington's house in real life? 

While Penelope might be desperate to leave home, her residence is more than worthy of a mention in Lady Whistledown’s column.

Though the Netflix character is meant to live in a London townhouse, the stunning exterior is actually filmed elsewhere.

In fact, No 1 Royal Crescent in Bath was used for the exterior shots of the Featherington family home.

The opulent Georgian home wasn’t quite grand enough for the fictional family though, with film crews adding two stone lions and rosettes to make it more opulent.

It was also used as the backdrop for several of the period drama’s iconic carriage scenes and fans can visit the Royal Crescent for free.

Meanwhile, Basildon Park was used for the exterior shots of the Featherington’s garden in earlier seasons of Bridgerton. 

The National Trust property also doubles as Lady Tilley Arnold's home in the latest season.

Where were the Bridgerton ballroom scenes filmed?

For those hoping to be crowded the Diamond of Season, you’ll want to visit The Orangery at Kenwood House.

Located in the idyllic Hampstead Heath, the stunning stately home was the romantic backdrop for the ballroom scenes. The glass structure was even featured in the first meeting between Daphne and Simon.

Meanwhile St. George's Hall in Liverpool was used for the masquerade ball later on in series one.

It is unsurprising as the glamorous location has ornate columns, high ceilings and a mosaic floor - which is perfect for dancing.

Bridgerton is back, and after the successful spin-off that was Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, we enter this season with even more love and admiration for Golda Rosheuvel's beautifully complex character. In an exclusive interview with woman&home, Golda shares how she channels Queen Charlotte's most admirable qualities. 

"It’s about being authentic - about knowing who you are. Being generous to yourself in the low moments. Having trust that you can get through and giving yourself respect to yourself in those times. So joy and the celebration of the highs really are strengthened by that. And it's about being confident with being messy – about being confident with being a whole person and being true to yourself."

Audiences were spoiled last year with an entire season based on Queen Charlotte, with Golda playing the present-day monarch and India Amarteifio as young Charlotte. This story provided a deeper understanding of the queen, and her journey to becoming the headstrong ruler so many have come to admire in the main series.

"I think in this show, we celebrate the wobbles and the celebrations and everything that being a woman is – from us oldies to the youngsters. It's a kind of celebration of all women." 

While Golda does, at times, take inspiration from the personality of her character, she is quick to stress most of Queen Charlotte's characteristics are very much left on set.

"Golly, if I was like her I’d be out on the street, they’d sack me right off. In terms of me being like Queen Charlotte, no, I stay far away from that in my normal life," she laughs. 

But it's clear being genuine is one thing that very much binds Golda and Queen Charlotte together. "The authenticity becomes in being an actress and the work that I have to do to create the role. And trying to kind of tap into ideas of myself within the roles and what I think about that.

"I find music, I find art, I find dance, I find anything that's kind of going to invoke a kind of emotion, and try and see where that will lead me through a character. For me, authenticity within myself as a storyteller allows the character to come through," she continues. 

You heard it here first, authenticity is key. We simply cannot wait to see even more of the iconic queen in the newest season of Bridgerton, wigs and all.

While fans have been enthralled and delighted by Bridgerton's third season, many are wondering why Daphne Bridgerton doesn't make an appearance in the episodes and are keen to know if we will see her when part 2 drops. 

While we're patiently, or not so patiently, waiting for Bridgerton season 3, part 2 to be released, fans of Netflix's hit period drama are busying themselves with finding answers to their most pertinent questions about the series - one of the most hotly contested being whether Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton are together in real life.  

We're all also wondering about the content of the show's upcoming episodes. We can't wait to see Violet's 'garden blooming' like actress Ruth Gemmell teased but her comments have raised some speculation since her garden is missing one rather important flower - season one star Phoebe Dynevor who played the eldest Bridgerton daughter, Daphne. 

The Bridgertons make a large family, with all the Bridgerton children's names and how old they all are being a bit hard to keep up with. But, so far throughout season three, Daphne's absence has left a looming gap in the show, especially when the family is all together and she's nowhere to be seen.

Why isn't Daphne in season 3 of Bridgerton?

Daphne Bridgerton isn't in season 3 of Netflix's Bridgerton because the actress who played her, Phoebe Dynevor, has moved on from the series and is now tied into other projects. In an interview with Variety Phoebe said of her exit from the show, "I did my two seasons. I’ve done what I wanted to do with that character, and she had a great arc."

But even though the actress is not present, that doesn't mean the character is not. Daphne was mentioned numerous times through season 3, part 1, with the Bridgerton siblings referring to her busy life as a Duchess here and there, so she's clearly still an important part of all their lives though we do not see it. 

Will will see Daphne in Bridgerton season 3, part 2? 

While Dynevor has left the show and likely won't appear in season 3 at all, there is hope that Daphne will return to Bridgerton in the future. In her interview with Variety, she said, "If they ask me back in the future, who knows?"

But even more concrete is the spoilers we can get from the books Bridgerton is based off. In Romancing Mr. Bridgerton, the fourth Bridgerton book that centres around  Penelope and Colin's romance like the show's third season does, Daphne hosts a ball toward the end of the season at Hastings House where she lives with her husband Simon, played by Regé-Jean Page who left the show after the first season. 

However, Daphne appears in the book on numerous occasions, regularly counselling Colin through his growing feelings for Penelope. Because these occasions have been adapted to work around Daphne's absence in part 1, unfortunately, it's likely that what was Daphne's ball in the book will be altered to be held by another member of the Ton if it's included at all. But, with Dynevor's teasing 'Who knows?' comment, we'll have to wait and see what part 2 holds.

Netflix's Bridgerton has delighted viewers with its latest season and we're desperate for the next lot of episodes to drop. While we wait, we explain the ins and outs of Bridgerton's season 3, part 1 ending. 

Bridgerton is back! Finally. We haven't been able to get the show out of our minds since Netflix teased the arrival of season three and the show has not disappointed - well, if you don't count the fact that we're still waiting for when season 3 part two will be released.  

While we wait after perhaps too eagerly making our way through season 3 part 1, excited to see Violet’s “garden blooming” after Ruth Gemmell gave us that wonderful teaser and turning our homes into regal havens with Regencycore interiors, many are wondering about the first part's ending. 

At the start of season 3, Penelope Featherington is feeling lonelier than ever, with her mother even suggesting that they'll spend their lives together as a sad, spinster-widow pair. She's having problems with her best friend, Eloise Bridgerton, and she's never even been kissed. But, by the end of the first lot of episodes, we've seen the secret writer do a complete 180.

Bridgerton Season 3: Part 1 ending explained 

At the end of Bridgerton season 3, part 1, Penelope's long-time crush Colin Bridgerton, played by Luke Newton, finally proposes to her after years of the couple's 'will they, won't they' storyline. The proposal left both the characters and their fans breathless as they spoke about their feelings towards one another in the back of a carriage, quickly cementing their love for each other with 'a romp' soundtracked by an orchestral version of Pitbull’s hit Give Me Everything.  

Speaking about the heartfelt moment, Nicola Coughlan who plays Penelope revealed to Netflix's Tadum, “It takes Penelope until the end of their conversation to go, ‘This guy really loves me. I think it’s a very slow process for which it can be and is in real life as well.” The couple's chemistry has even led fans to wonder if Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton are together in real life.

However, the show's final episode ends before Penelope can answer Colin's plea, “For God’s sake, Penelope Featherington. Are you going to marry me or not?” Unfortunately, fans are going to have to wait for the new episodes to finally hear her answer - though we do have an idea of what to expect from season three thanks to the original novels. 

The cliffhanger is especially tantalising as, earlier that same night, Penelope was ready to marry Lord Debling whom Colin had set her up with at the beginning of the season. She is heartbroken when her ruins her near-engagement and fans are worried that Penelope could choose the stability offered by Debling over the love she feels for Colin.

But, rest your minds, as the showrunner Brownell isn't planning on Debling coming back to whisk Penelope away. “In the writers’ room, there were times where we were like, ‘Damn, we’re rooting for Debling,’ ” Brownell says. “But at the end of the day, Penelope wants love. She wants passion, and she has that with Colin in spades.” 

Speaking about the ending, Coughlan said, “We literally looked back at the script and we went, ‘Oh, that’s so good.' That’s so good because there’s so much you know is still to come.”

This means there’s just under one month in between the release dates for parts 1 and 2 and that viewers won’t have an agonising wait before they get to see how things turn out for these star-crossed lovers. In the meantime, you can enjoy watching your favourite episodes from Bridgerton seasons 1, 2 and season 3 part 1 all over again. 

Why is Bridgerton season 3 in two parts? 

Netflix often tends to split up the release of new seasons of huge shows into multiple parts - as we’ve seen with everything from Firefly Lane to Virgin River. Bridgerton season 3 is the first of the show’s seasons to have a split release and it’s sadly not known exactly why the decision was made to do this. Bridgerton showrunner Jess Brownell previously revealed to Today.com that Netflix approached them after the season was filmed to suggest having multiple parts.

"Netflix approached us after we had finished producing the season about breaking it up," she claimed, whilst also describing Bridgerton season 3 as having a "natural break" after the first four episodes.

If there is indeed a "natural" feeling break between the earlier and later episodes it might perhaps have been this that inspired Netflix to put forward the idea of breaking up season 3. Splitting up such a globally popular show could also be a way to maintain the excitement amongst fans and keep them invested in Netflix and its library of other shows in the meantime too. 

Having two parts also means that fans will be more eager than ever for answers and resolutions after the mid-season finale's major cliffhanger ending, heightening the anticipation. Whilst Bridgerton season 3 primarily focuses on Colin and Penelope, Lady Bridgerton is also going to have a moment to shine this season.

Speaking exclusively to Woman&Home about season 3, actor Ruth Gemmell declared, "I think having seen two of her children marry and for love and be happy, it was like a mirror in front of her to see that Edmund [Violet’s late husband] had left a very big hole. And no one can fill it, but it's left her lonely."

"So yes, we see that she wants to kind of dip her toe into that water," Ruth continued. "And I think now we begin to see her embracing life again. And she's going to do it really tentatively as only Violet will, but yes, I think she's kind of excited and nervous as to what her children might think."

Whilst you may be excited for the 'Polin' love story to unfold, Ruth Gemmell says there's another potential romance on the cards in this season of Bridgerton. 

The long-awaited season 3 of Netflix's beloved show Bridgerton is finally with us, and with it comes more drama, feuds and, of course, romance. But there's one love story that perhaps we didn't see coming  – Violet Bridgerton's daring reemergence into the world of dating. 

It's not often audiences get to see more mature female characters pursue love and lust, especially after a first marriage, but Ruth Gemmell says that's all about to change.

After watching Violet and her late husband Edmund's tragic past play out in the last season of Bridgerton, viewers finally understood Lady Bridgerton's reluctance to entertain another suitor. 

And yet, in the Queen Charlotte spin-off show, that previous disinterest in romance shifted. In an exclusive interview with woman&home, Ruth Gemmell spoke to us about why things have begun to change for her character.

Violet spoke of wanting to feel her garden in bloom again in the Queen Charlotte series, so is this what we'll see in season three?

Not only is this return to romance a rather big deal for Violet in the Bridgerton world, it's also a new journey unfolding for mature female audiences to enjoy too. When talking to Ruth about her character's romantic storyline, the 56-year-old actor said: "I think in terms of life, you go through different relationships all the time. And you think at the end of one, you are always metaphorically on the shelf and you'll never meet anyone again." 

"Well, I got together with my husband a lot later in my life, and I think that's quite normal. People are quite lucky if they've had a very steady, easy run of it." 

Co-star Adoja Andoh, who plays the confident socialite Lady Danbury, added: "I think there's something about it, that's quite old-fashioned, to just go when you get to a certain age, no-one's interested.

"But you've probably got half of your life left to live – you wanna go out, to get dressed up and have fun, and you want to make mistakes and be messy, because that's what we're all still doing in our lives."

With an empowering and authentic energy filling the room, Queen Charlotte herself, Golda Rosheuvel, smiles as she says: "Yeah, there’s life in the old dog yet."

In true Bridgerton fashion, societal expectations luckily don't hold power for long as we can look forward to seeing the beloved character of Violet experience all the excitement women deserve, no matter her age or marital past. 

There is still one question that remains, who will be the worthy gentleman that catches Violet Bridgerton's eye and more importantly her heart?

Are Bridgerton's Nicola Coughlan and Luke Newton dating in real life? 

On the 21st April, Nicola and Luke attended the launch of the third season at Milton Country House in Bowral, Australia. The pair were pictured holding hands on the red carpet, with many wondering if the duo were more than friends in real life too. 

Despite their steamy on-screen chemistry, as seen in the new trailer for the third season of the show, the actors are just close friends. Nicola has spoken highly of Luke to Tudum about the upcoming season and said, "I couldn't ask for a better partner to go into this with. I have such trust in Luke, and I hope he has it in me to go forward on it."

It’s clear the duo have a strong bond which has helped them through the romantic scenes this season.

"There was one day where we had to do a beautifully written romantic scene, and we were just peeing ourselves with laughter because you have to look into each other's eyes. We were like 'Oh god'," Nicola told Entertainment Tonight. 

Meanwhile, Luke told the outlet, "I feel like there's always that question being asked of is it easier to do the intimacy scenes with someone who is your friend of four years or someone you just met for one day? I can safely say it's easier with a friend. There really is that sort of support."

Nicola did admit it wasn’t difficult to form a deeper connection with her co-star and this season’s suitor in question, as she explained to Elle, "We've known each other now five years and people were like, 'What did you do to build the chemistry?' And I'm like, 'Well, we just stopped repressing it, and then it was fine, we didn't have to do anything."

To date, it seems that both actors are single after Luke's relationship ended in 2023 and Nicola discussed her dating red flags in an interview with Marie Claire towards the end of last year. So who knows, maybe Bridgerton viewers could get their romance of the regency era off-screen one day, too.

As Bridgerton season 3 is set to begin in a few months, eager fans are rewatching the past two seasons in anticipation and excitement as Colin Bridgerton and Penelope Featherinton's story is set to be revealed. Although the first instalment of the third season isn't arriving on Netflix until May 1st, with the second part of the season arriving on June 13th, fans are already keen to refresh their memories on details of the the Bridgerton children, including their ages and what their stories have been thus far. 

Who are the Bridgerton children and how old are they?

Anthony Bridgerton

Anthony is the eldest child of Violet and Edward Bridgerton and it was his story with Miss Kate Sharma that was the focus of the second season of Bridgerton. The couple had an enemies-to-lovers storyline that shocked and delighted fans. The couple are both set to make an appearance in season three as a married couple and head of the Bridgerton household. 

In the first season, we learn that Anthony is 29, making him around 30 in the second season when he gets married.

Benedict Bridgerton

Benedict is the second eldest sibling. His character is a little bit of a Lothario who has had several romantic, but non-serious dalliances. His passions seem to be more focused on exploring the arts and a major part of the second season was about his admission into a school to study art. In the books by Julia Quinn, his story takes place in the third book, but this has been bumped in favour of Colin's romantic storyline with Penelope Featherington in the Netflix adaptation. 

Benedict is a few years younger than his brother Anthony, making him 27 in the first season and 28 in the second.

Colin Bridgerton

Colin Bridgerton is the third eldest sibling. In the past few seasons of the show he has been more interested in travelling that exploring his romantic options. His friendship with Penelope Featherington has also been a key part of the series, and at the end of the second season she overheard him making fun of her and saying that he would never look at her in a romantic way. The third season will focus on his romantic life and the development of his friendship with Penelope.

Colin is a few years younger than Benedict, making him around 22 in the first season and 23 in the second season.

Daphne Bridgerton

Daphne is the eldest daughter in the Bridgerton family and her story was the focus of the first season as she charmed the Duke of Hastings. Regé-Jean confirmed he would not be returning for Bridgerton season 2 and it's unlikely that he will appear in the third season either. However, Daphne and their son, Auguie, still made several appearances in the second season of Bridgerton, and are set to appear in the third season. 

In the show, Daphne is around 21 in the first season and 22 in the third. In the book, she has been 'out' in society for a few years before she got married, which was changed in the series. 

Eloise Bridgerton

Eloise Bridgeton is the fifth Bridgerton child and the scond-born daughter of the familt. In the series her main storylines focus on her interest in discovering the identity of Lady Whistledown and her friendship  with Penelope Featherington. In season two, romance also seemed to be on the cards as she struck up a friendship with Theo Sharpe, an apprentice at the printing shop where Lady Whistledown's gossip papers are printed. She also officially came out in society in season two, but was not named the diamond of the season.

Eloise Bridgerton is around 17 in the first season of Bridgerton and 18 in season 2.

Francesca Bridgerton

Francesca is the sixth Bridgerton sibling who was portrayed by Ruby Stokes in the first two seasons and recast with Hannah Dodd for the third season. Francesca doesn't have much of an active role in the first two seasons and she is usually just described as being 'away' by the Bridgerton family. It was reported that Ruby Stokes was replaced because of scheduling conflicts, which could mean that Francesca is set to make more of an appearance in season three while portrayed by Hannah Dodd.

In season one, Francesca is around 16, just a year younger than Eloise, and 17 in season 2.

Gregory Bridgerton

Gregory is the seventh Bridgerton child and the youngest boy in the family. Gregory doesn't have a major role in seasons one or two, and his character can be defined as the annoying younger sibling who is seen teasing his little sister Hyacinth.

Gregory is 12 during Bridgerton season 1 and 13 in season 2.

Hyacinth Bridgerton

Hyacinth is the eighth Bridgerton child and the youngest girl in the family. Like Gregory, Hyacinth doesn't have a major role in seasons one or two, and her character is typically seen as the annoying little sister who is mostly messing around with Gregory.

Hyacinth is aged 10 in during Bridgerton season 1 and 11 in season 2.
