Whether you’ve fallen victim to menopause-induced insomnia or have just been burning the candle at both ends, we’re probably all in need of an eye-cream upgrade.

Finding the best eye cream can be a challenge. But this launch should make things a lot easier!

Last year, cult beauty brand The Inkey List, launched their Brighten-I Eye Cream, £8.99, which banishes puffiness and blur dark circles in a matter of minutes – faking a full 8-hours even if you’ve spent the night tossing and turning.

The magic comes in the form of Brightenyl, a patented ingredient that’s four times more potent than super-charged antioxidant Vitamin C. Working in a similar way, Brightenyl (as the name suggests) dramatically brightens, evens out skin tone and adds a hefty dose of hydration - without over-loading the thin under-eye skin.

It’s packed with hydration hero hyaluronic acid too (one molecule can hold up to 1000 times its own weight in water) which sets to work soothing crepey skin and plumping out any pesky fine lines. Skin feels instantly cooled with a gentle tingle on application.

And unlike some eye creams which require you to tap on the product with your ring finger, this has a soothing metal applicator to help aid lymphatic drainage, which in turn reduces puffiness.

Designed to be unisex it does have a slight peachy tinge which perfectly primes skin for concealer, but is subtle enough to go unnoticed if you prefer a no make-up look. This is Inkey’s first foray into a make-up/skincare hybrid, and we’re keeping our fingers firmly crossed it won’t be the last.

Selling one product every 30 seconds since their launch last year, The Inkey List’s aim was always to take the complexity out of skincare at purse-friendly prices – making innovative, hard-working products available to all.

There’s plenty more Inkey launches where this clever eye cream came from, with three new products waiting in the wings to launch on the 1st October.

We’ve been lucky enough to have a sneak peek and were seriously impressed – the PHA Toner (a gentler version of alpha-hydroxy acids) is a game-changer for sensitive skin, the C-50 Blemish Night Treatment works wonders to take the redness out of spots whilst you snooze, whilst the Ceramide Night Treatment combines their bestselling hyaluronic acid and polyglutamic acids in one ultra-nourishing tube.
