June is a good month in our family. There are lots of birthdays and reasons to do what I love doing - having long lunches or suppers with family and good friends. Somehow, when the sun shines, just as it has over the last couple of weeks, life becomes so simple, so much easier. I'm sure you are with me on this.
So I can't believe the change in temperature today. I thought summer had arrived. I'd finally swapped over my winter black and white for my summer black with more white. I made a mental note that I must buy more colour! We cleaned the barbeque, then had friends over. I had a pedicure, ready to put my feet on show in my new wedges. And I booked an outdoor concert for tomorrow night!
It's amazing how much more organised I become when the sun's out!
And then I woke up this morning to cloud, rain on the way and definitely a drop in temperature. Just for one moment yesterday, I was certain it was going to be a good summer, though I don't know why one should be so certain about our weather when life is full of uncertainities.
Still, forever the optmist. I'll take the big brolly for the concert, wear layers, and I will sit under the parasol come rain or shine and have a wonderful time. In true Brit style, I am determine to enjoy June whatever the weather!
