Sue's blog: the long bank holiday weekend
Rosemary and parma ham scallops
If your week has been anything like mine, frantic - then an extra day off this weekend is just what we all need. Much as I think I will take time to chill out, I seem to have booked up plenty to keep me busy over the next few days. Know the feeling?
We're having friends over, so I hope we'll be able to eat outside in the garden. Fingers crossed that the weather forecast is right and we will have sunshine. I'm playing it safe though, and I'm planning food that can work inside our out. Our Food Ed, Jane has put together a delicious menu of food ideas that will be perfect. The rosemary and parma ham scallops sound fabulous. The question is - do we barbecue or not?
I'll also be doing some more training for our Ribbon Walks. Our first walk, at Blenheim Palace, takes place next weekend so I need to be ready! Have you been following our Countdown to the Ribbon Walks plan? You must check it out to make sure that you're totally set for the walks. Don't forget that if you can't take part in the walks yourself, you can still support our walkers and Breast Cancer Care by donating via our justgiving page
Then I'm finally going to give myself a day off. No cooking, no training, just relaxing with friends. I'm going to take advantage of the exclusive deal in this month's woman&home magazine (p 130) and head to Café Rouge for lunch with the girls and I'm sure that we will enjoy the free bottle of wine with our meal.
Enjoy your bank holiday.
Sue
