Sue's Blog/ The mum-daughter bond
Have you filled in our Mothers & Daughters survey yet? Hundreds of you have so far, but I'd love to hear from more of you. I’ve just done it and it made me think of my daughter and our relationship which I think is a very special one. At the moment I'm missing her lots as she is on a 'gap year’ and travelling in Australia right now. Still the great thing about technology and mobiles is that we can still have a conversation regularly. I've learnt to use Skype more and MSN and enjoy looking at her postings and pics on Facebook.
Please drop me a mail and let me know what you think of our website and, of course, the magazine
In fact even though we are miles apart I think this experience has brought us even closer. Of course I can't wait until she is back... I think in the autumn, but I try not keep asking her when because I want her to enjoy her experience and hearing from me rather than feeling guilty and dreading my emails. The only downside is the longer she is away our quick chats on the phone have become a little longer. I'll have to keep on working to pay for the phone bills! Still I know she's safe and that is what’s important.
I’d love to hear about what makes your relationship tick. Take part in our Mothers & Daughters survey and you could win a luxury spa break for two at Champneys. Good luck!
Sue
Ps Apologies for the slowness of the site, I know it's really frustrating. I've just been told by the technical team things should start improving tomorrow. They're working hard behind the scenes here to speed things up. Please bear with us!
