Scentsational
Add a soft fragrance to any room by adding an organic or natural candle. The type of wax it is made of will determine how clean the scent is. As with any candle, when the wick gets long cut it down. This will prevent it smoking.  Try one of our favourites - True Grace. Violet Classic, £18. Visit truegrace.co.uk

Super soaps
If you are having guests to stay, pop a few soaps into cupboards and in drawers so that they smell divine when they open them. I love Toast's rose geranium which is still fragrant after a year!

Scent any room
Give any room in your home a more fragrant feel with a room diffuser. They have a much cleaner scent than air fresheners and  last  for months. The fragrance can be made strong by turning the reeds over regularly or left for a while for a more subtle aroma. Pop them in bathrooms and cloakrooms where the fragrance can really fill the room, or in your entrance hall for an impressive welcome. We love the Dr Vranges range. Green flowers, £27 is gorgeous and very fresh. Visit sentionline.co.uk
