As Pippa Middleton gets ready to tie the knot this weekend it looks as though the royals may have some more wedding news.
Prince Harry could be getting ready to take his relationship with American actress Meghan Markle up a notch. Cue a fairytale propsal and thousands of hearts breaking around the world...
Last week Meghan made her first public appearance as Harry's girlfriend at the polo. While Harry galovanted around at the Audi Polo Challenge in Coworth Park, Berkshire, Megan had front row seats in the Royal Box to watch Harry compete.
Now it seems thier relationship could be about to get a lot more serious with a proposal from Prince Harry described as "imminent".
An insider source told Star Magazine: "The way it's going, the engagement will probably happen this year. Harry has got approval from the Queen to propose to Meghan, he's already had those conversations with Her Majesty. An engagement is imminent."
Prince Harry is the fifth in line to the throne and therefore cannot get married without his grandmother's consent. The source added: "Harry has always had a good relationship with the Queen and they are an extremely close-knit family."
Harry and Meghan met in Canada last year whilst the prince was promoting the Invictus Games. Speculation of their relationship was finally confirmed last summer and since then rumours of proposals have been constant." Meghan's decision to shut down her lifestyle website 'The Tig' was regarded as a huge indication that Harry might be proposing soon. Her request to be written out of the popular television series Suits has also led to speculation the pair are ready to commit.
Some sources claim that the prince wants to propose to Meghan before the Invictus Games begin in September. This would allow Meghan to accompany Harry in a formal capacity.
