The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have shared some lovely thank you notes with royal fans, who generously sent over birthday well-wishes to Princess Charlotte.
The young royal recently celebrated her 3rd birthday, on 2nd May. And while the family spent the special day privately, they did take the time to thank their fans, with an adorable note.
Catherine and William sent over sweet thank you cards to everyone who sent Princess Charlotte birthday items, alongside an older picture taken of the royal, by Catherine, on her first day of nursery.
The message on the card then read, 'The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge thank you for so kindly writing as you did to Princess Charlotte on the occasion of her third birthday.
'This was most thoughtful of you, and greatly appreciate by Their Royal Highnesses who you send their best wishes.'
Kensington Palace recently revealed that over the past month, the younger royals have been inundated with messages and gifts from royal fans, keen to share their congraulations for the exciting events that have happened in the last few weeks.
Sharing an inside look at the Palace's post-room, they said, 'Thank you everyone for the beautiful cards and letters following Princess Charlotte's third birthday, the birth of Prince Louis and the wedding of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
'We've received over 36,000 letters in the past month alone 📝'
The Palace's Instagram account also shared an adorable image of a sweet drawing that got sent in to them, of the newly married Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
With Prince Harry's signature ginger beard expertly glued on in felt, and Meghan's glittering wedding tiara made up in sequins - we think it's a pretty brilliant effort.
It's thought that, although the royal family are made aware of correspondence from fans, they do not respond to it all personally.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, for example, regularly send out thank you notes with very similar wording, depending on the occasion. Prince Harry and Meghan also appeared to follow suit, with the thank you cards they sent out after their engagement news was announced.
Catherine and William also sent out similar messages to their well-wishers following their seventh wedding anniversary, on 11th April.
The couple regularly use the same photo for the cards - one taken on their 2016 royal trip to India.
