Take A Sneak Peek Inside The £160k Oscars Goodie Bag

With the Oscars awards ceremony right around the corner, the excitement is building for one of the most glamorous nights of the year in Hollywood. But if the glitz and glamour of the actual awards wasn’t enough, the stars in attendance at the event also get given a lavish goodie bag stuffed to the brim with all kinds of luxury treats at the end of the night. It’s one of the most coveted goodie bags in the industry, so you can guarantee there are no penny sweets or dry pieces of birthday cake in this one…

This year, the goodie bag is worth a staggering £160,000 altogether. Last year’s was slightly more expensive, at around £200,000, and included a 10-day walking tour of Japan and, strangely, a ‘Vampire Breast Lift’, worth $1,900. No, we’re not joking…

So what exactly is in this years haul? First up is a trip to the Golden Door Spa Retreat in California, where celebs can relax and regroup after a hard day’s work.

Next in the goodie bag is a 6-night holiday in Hawaii (worth £9,700), plus a 3-night holdiay in Lake Como (worth £2,400).

And if that weren’t enough for the celebrities, they’ll also get a 3-night stay in Sorrento, plus a 3-night stay in a private mansion in California (worth £17,600) – we’re not jealous at all!

But holiday’s aren’t the only thing the famous faces can look forward to this year. If they’re fans of looking after themselves, they can also get excited about a 10-year supply of Oxygenetix make-up (worth £38,000), plus 10 sessions with celebrity personal trainer Alexis Seletzky (worth £1,200), and Hydrocut Platinum weight loss supplements (worth £24).

An Oomi smart home system (worth £480) and a Haze Dual Vaporiser (worth £250) will also make sure that the celebrities homes stay spick and span. However, in perhaps one of the least glamorous gifts of the lot, the celebrities are also set to grab themselves 12 cases of Opal apples. Well, they’re no Pink Ladies…

The final few gifts are even more unusual, including a Dandi Patch for sweat marks (worth £26), advanced dual-layer pillows by Casper, a set of personalised Crayola crayons, and, a teach yourself CPR kit, for all those close calls on set…

Plus, what will the celebrities be eating at this years ceremony?

Celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck has been called in to cater for the official after-party following this years ceremony, and the treats he’s offering up to the host of celebs are nothing short of spectacular. Wolfgang has catered for the Oscars for 22 years, and this year will be his 23rd – so it’s clear he’s expert at making sure the famous crowd are well fed.

But it turns out, feeding the (hungry) rich and famous is no mean feat. One thing the celebrities have to look forward to on the menu this year is a 24 karat gold chocolate Oscars statue – impressive.

But it seems the stars will also have some more traditional, wholesome meal options at their feast this year. Listed as some of the main dishes are baked potato and chicken pot pie – although, the first is being served with caviar. The celebs can also gorge themselves on a baked macaroni and cheese or a hearty Dover sole. There will also be a sushi and shellfish station, where guests can custom make their order depending on what they fancy – anyone else getting hungry?

And for dessert? Aside from the chocolate statue, they can look forward to biscuits, macaroons, chocolate chip cookie sandwiches, and tiramisu.

Don’t mind us – we’re just going to go and browse the bakery aisle at the local supermarket…

Keep an eye on Woman and Home on 26th and 27th February for all of the action at this years Oscars ceremony…
