Holly And Phillip Confirmed As Hosts Of Dancing On Ice Revival

They’re everyone’s favourite presenting pair, and now it’s been confirmed that dynamic duo Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield will pair up yet again to host the reboot of their very first programme together – Dancing On Ice.

Rumours have been circulating for weeks that the presenters would team up again to front the show, but the news has only just been announced by ITV.

The popular skating show disappeared from our screens in 2014 after an impressive eight year run (we know, we can’t believe it either), and was originally fronted by the hosts who are now the faces of This Morning

Holly and Phil hosted the show for six series, from 2006 until 2011, when Holly fell pregnant, and Christine Bleakley took over while Holly went on maternity leave. Christine and Phil then presented the show until it ended in 2014, much to the dismay of ardent fans.

So the news that Phil and Holly will return is certainly a welcome one! The pair will rejoin the show as hosts when it returns in 2018, ITV confirms.

A Holly and Phil Dancing on Ice return has been confirmed!

And they’re not the only old hands confirmed to appear on the reboot of the
popular programme. Skating legends Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean
had both already ‘confirmed’ the news of the show returning
, by speaking about how excited they were to be back.

But now the news has officially been confirmed, and the duo will return as judges, rather than skating coaches to
the celebrity contestants, as they did in the original airing of Dancing
On Ice. They will be joined by two other judges, who are yet to be announced.

On the return to the show, Holly has said “”I’m so excited to be returning to a show that I love so much! Working with Jayne and Chris is always such an honour and it’s even more special as it’s the show that Phil and I first worked on together … it’s full of wonderful memories and I can’t wait to make some new ones… “

While Phillip also commented, “I’m often told how much people have missed Dancing on Ice, and with the show so fondly remembered, it’s exciting for us all to now have the chance to breath new life into the show, and of course spending an extra day of the week with Holly is the icing on the cake!”

A number of famous faces are reportedly already in the running to take part in the show too. Princess Diana’s former butler Paul Burrell and popular psychic Sally Morgan are said to a part of the upcoming line-up, while Katie Price has also confirmed that she’d love a chance to take part.
