Could YOU Be One Of Tech’s Most Inspiring Female Role Models?

Fancy putting yourself – or a friend or colleague – forward as one of tech’s most inspiring female role models? The 2017 FDM everywoman in Technology Awards, in association with techUK, celebrate the best female talent in the industry – and they’re now open for nominations!

Although more than 52% of UK companies have increased the number of female tech professionals they employ over the last five years, by the end of 2016 fewer than 25% of all digital jobs will be held by women, according to techUK and Information Age. If that doesn’t prove the need for awards that highlight the success of women in this field, we don’t know what does.

Categories for the awards include Start-up Founder of the Year for those who have founded a business that’s less than 18 months old, the Digital Star
Award for those who are excelling in a digital role, plus the Team Leader Award for those whose team leadership has greatly contributed to an organisation’s success.

Many finalists and winners of the awards in previous years have already seen the benefits of entering the programme, receiving a boost to their business profile and transforming them into role models who inspire others to take the leap into the industry.

Maxine Benson MBE, co-founder of everywoman said, “Never before has it been so critical that we attract the brightest and the best women to the technology industry. The fast growth of this sector is such that it offers extraordinary opportunities and these awards exist to create the role models and inspiration needed to attract the finest female talent of the future.”

So whether you run an exciting start-up or you’re a high-flyer at a large corporate tech or IT firm, you can enter yourself here for free – or why not nominate someone else? The deadline for applications is 3 October 2016 and this year’s winners will be announced at a ceremony held on 9 February 2017 at the London Hilton on Park Lane.
