Is This The Future Of Beauty?

Here at Woman &
Home we pride ourselves on bringing you breaking news on the beauty
products of the future – and we think you’ll love the latest launches
set to hit our shores as early as this year.

You may have heard
about the sheep placenta facial, but the latest skincare revolution
heading to a spa near you is Rhubarb Skin Rejuvination – or the ‘Rhubarb Fool Facial’ as it’s been dubbed in LA. As
you lie back and relax, the sweet dessert is placed onto skin. The sugar within it acts as a gentle exfoliation, leaving skin super-bright and bouncy. With
demand for the treatment so high, and availability
of sugar becoming more scarce, celebrity facialists are already said to be struggling to
create any room in their schedules for A-list clients. Well, we do love desserts – and it’s certainly one way to get that sugar fix!

Another one to
watch is OneDay Hair Reborn, developed by American chemists. This
supplement uses naturally-derived melanin pigments to transform your
hair colour for a 24-36 hour period, breaking down naturally
so you return to your natural shade, with no washing out or dyeing
required. They currently cost $45 per pack of six and come in three
shades; Brown Town, Golden Arches and Red Sox. No word on when they’ll
be available in the UK, but we can only hope…

Finally, a new
Japanese app offers beauty fans the chance to switch
their nail colour at the tap of a screen. Simply download, purchase the
accompanying LED-embedded nail wraps and use on-screen
controls to change your nails from a daytime nude to vampy red or even
create bespoke nail art that appears instantly. If you’ve ever felt like
a fool after leaving the house with clashing nail polish, get ready to
snap this one up when it arrives!
