It's the most anticipated TV event of the year - Downton Abbey is returning to ITV for a Christmas special!
The feature-length episode will be screened at 9pm on Christmas Day, following the Crawley family as they head north to visit Scottish cousins at Duneagle Castle.
While the family enjoy a holiday packed with traditional Highland pursuits from deer stalking to shooting, most of their staff have remained behind at Downton - a recipe for drama!
Laura Mackie, Director of Drama at ITV, said: "Last year’s special episode set the nation talking on Boxing Day and 2012's Christmas Day episode is no different. This is one episode you will want to see live - and best have the tissues ready."
In even better news, Downton Abbey is to return to ITV1 in 2013 for a fourth series of our favourite Emmy and Golden Globe award-winning drama. Filming of eight new episodes for autumn 2013 plus next year's Christmas special is set to start at Highclere Castle and Ealing Studios in February.
